i7 for about $100 more can be a decent performance bump
but going from i7 to i9 is hitting the point of diminishing returns for $150-200 about the i7's price while now requiring liquid cooling to keep it cool and might want a higher wattage power supply because they are power hungry.
just looked up prices on pc partpicker
you can save the 240-250ish dollars and get an i5, and spend that money to get an RTX 4080 Super instead.
but there is also the problem with Raptor Lake refresh's i7 and i9s being unstable due to in proper power specs from motherboard vendors.
but also Nvidia is planning to release a new series of GPUs at the end of this year and since their prices tend not to go down. So could save until they release.

Ryzen is excellent for videogames but sucks at everything else. Intel is excellent for editing (video, photo, AI). A good GPU could be a 4060 because the CPU will do most of the work for rendering.

for best CPU you will want Ryzen X3D if you're of European ethnicity for the true white man gaming experience. For hispanics, you will want last-gen Intel and for blacks/asians you will want current-gen Intel as you are either smart enough to make use of it or dumb enough that you would probably waste money on something more stupid. You will need something to connect your useless thunderbolt pozzed garbage with anyways.
For GPU, if you are a white man you will want current-gen Nvidia. For higher-tier whites (northern european) I recommend the RTX 4070/4080, really anything with more than 8GB VRAM and CUDA cores will do. For slavs I recommend the 16GB RTX 4060, it will run slow but it will run. For my humble basketball and slant eyed americans I recommend AMD. It's all shit there so just close your eyes pick and choose.
