    Yes.
I want to see the AAA gaming studios collapse or break up into smaller studios, so companies like EA don't own dozens of franchises they refuse to do anything with since it won't be the most profitable IP they could touch.
I want to see "muh graphix" oriented gaming die a painful death, and companies to stop chasing photo-realism and trying to sell games based on looks, and instead focus on selling games that are actually fun. Minecraft did it and sold more than anything else, and they still can't figure it out.
I want to all the gaming historians, journalists, and other wanna-be experts resign from GDC, and only successful developers put back on the menu like it was prior to the late 90's. It was supposed to be successful devs sharing ideas and techniques, not a bunch of literal who's telling wanna-be devs how they should make their game more inclusive.
I want to see computer games take advantage of all the opimization and compression available today to make the games run well on crap hardware and take up as little space as possible, not just demand higher specs from the player and expect everyone to be using $2000 video cards to get 30FPS.
I want to see digital storefronts crash and burn, and the right of resale returned to gamers. I can buy books, movies, music, all on physical media I can resell whenever I wish. There's no reason other than pure greed and "Eh, frick our customers" to not allow that with videogames.
And I want to see everyone involved in pushing videogames from what it was in the 80's and 90's to the nightmare of today, to be burnt alive.

The western game industry has no one to blame but itself for the state it’s in, constantly chasing trends instead of pushing for new experiences, the overinflated unsustainable nature of AAA gaming, the casualization of everything for the sake of mass market appeal, trying to appease shareholders and mentally ill dangerhairs on Twitter and being hostile of fans. Need I go on?

It's a videogame which works as advertised. It builds upon a successful formula while adding its own concept. As such, it sold over 5 million copies.

It's not an "interactive experience" which serves as an excuse for the studio to push propaganda to get a good ESG score while the development is outsourced to India.

        He also said
        >I have been saying this for some time, but customers are not interested in grand games with higher-quality graphics and sound and epic stories. Only people who do not know the videogame business would advocate the release of next-generation machines when people are not interested in cutting-edge technologies.
        >The idea of competing on hardware prices, or thinking that selling hardware with software as a bonus means winning, doesn't work. No matter how much you expand the hardware, it's useless. The software has to gradually catch up; otherwise, it's no good. Such a fighting style is based on a hardware-centric approach, and it won't work because it's different from the original software-oriented strategy.
        >If we don't introduce innovative ideas, games themselves will become monotonous and boring. Additionally, "grand and elaborate" types of software are complex in content, requiring time, labor, and expenses to produce. Even if billions of yen are invested and a hit game sells a million copies, it might still be at a loss. In that case, it's not sustainable as a business. Even a "light, simple, and compact" game can be well-crafted and enjoyable.
