Without much spoilers, how much do you choices matter. For example Prisoner seems to end the same whether you sit in chains with her or you bring her head outside. Do you need to do both, does it all lead to her getting absorbed, does Saving/Loading affect overall progress?
It always leads to the princess being absorbed in the end.
How that princess is when she gets absorbed changes depending on what you do, at least on some of the routes.
Like for the ghost one, she can end up as a wholesome one or a... weird as frick one.

Without much spoilers, how much do you choices matter. For example Prisoner seems to end the same whether you sit in chains with her or you bring her head outside. Do you need to do both, does it all lead to her getting absorbed, does Saving/Loading affect overall progress?

It really does feel like you just go on living together, leave the loop behind and stop being gods. You don't kill the concept of death, so that keeps going. The Narrator is gone, and Hero promises he'll find the other voices and not be alone

Pirate it. While the C&C is nice and all the game is very simple. It's almost all fluff since it matters little what you do, you are always getting the option of 3(4) endings with the text leading up to it being different depending on which princesses you encountered.
Unless there is some ultra sikrit-perfect-choice-only ending, the game is straightforward contrary to what it seems at the start.
