The best Ys game since Origin, and the only Seven Engine title that can actually compete with the Napishtim Engine trilogy in terms of quality. I have no clue how modern Falcom pulled off a game this good.

Adol's life is harder; he and Dogi can't go anywhere without having to save the world from some catastrophe. He even loses all his weapons, armor, accessories, special attacks, money, consumables, and levels between each adventure.
He also dies alone in the middle of a frozen wasteland.
The version I read was that he disappeared trying to reach the North Pole, so he could still be alive. Who knows what he found up there.
