Astraloud is actually pretty good. Its summoning condition means that even if your stuff got negated, as long as you have one visas and a visas clone in gy, you can summon a big guy without activating anything.

I have both, Lab for sure is more fun to play but this is because I enjoy control decks overall. Floo is still pretty good but the only way to play the deck optimally nowadays is by abusing floodgates like Pachy or cards like Feather Storm and it's very prone to brick or die to a single interruption because it lost a lot of search power.

I've always wondered why Pot of Greed has always had such nostalgia surrounding it. The card has been banned for eighteen years. It came out in the first fricking set released in the TCG (LOB in 2002) and was banned three years later. It has literally been banned for six times longer than it was playable. I would bet money that 99% of people playing yugioh today never got to even play with it. Is it some giant meme that I'm missing?
Because Expulsion got banned FAR quicker than the strategy got banned in paper. Sanctifire was created before they decided that strategy shouldn't be around, so they're obligated to release it in MD. They'll ban Ido+Puppet in a couple months.

Is this card a meme? There's a fun interaction with assault synchron and any Bystial turning into Dis Pater and Baronne, but that requires you to run Stardust Dragon and Dis Pater's negate is really weak. It might as well not be there.
It seems so much stronger to just go into Chaos Ruler and then extend from there. You also have more extra deck space.

I've done done it! Though to be honest, you only want the blue/green fusion. Being able to negate spell/traps twice per turn is busted, and the field spell not being a hard once per turn is great for thinning you deck and getting the fusion out fast.
It's overrated by some and underrated by others. People either think it's shit or amazing, but it's just another board breaker of which there are plenty. I'm sure there will be some meta in the future where it's worth playing.
It's good. But people simply giving up on it since it's still semi-limited so even gren maju hesitates to play since 2 copies is easier to banish with desires.
It's an unsearchable non-engine card. Being limited doesn't matter for whether or not you play it. If you banished both copies with desires then it's exactly the same as having ran 0 copies of it.
Every non-engine card is searchable with thrust. The strength that raigeki has over any boardbreaker is that it isn't once per turn without weird restriction so either it's good at 3 or it's whatever on hit restriction(semis or limited).
Raigeki not being OPT is not a real upside in practice.
Most spell negates negate activations so opening 2 Lightning Storms or 2 Talents or any other OPT board breaker against a Baronne is not any different from opening 2 Raigeki. The first copy gets negated and the second copy resolves.

Witchcrafter decklist that uses 0 Confusion, which is quite a nice bonus. Taught me the lesson to stop depending on MDM decklists so much, especially for less popular archetypes.

Ratpier milling ramram gets you to udf on its own. Its a really good engine in decks that can afford the space

I had regularly been seeing Runick Stun and occasionally seeing Runick Fur Hire and Runick Naturia just last format. Hell, I think Runick Stun won some big event in either JP MD or OCG.
I love Nadir so much just for the fact that it pops backrow shit without me so much as having to commit a monster to my board and I don't actually have to play dedicated backrow removal that is dead in my hand, which is why people seethe over Nadir. It's partially backrow Black folk mad that now people are "just playing backrow removal" like they always smugly say. I always wanted Konami to print some generic staple that was basically do x good effect or be an MST and Nadir is even better than that.
Don't play funny decks if you reach Diamond, that's pretty much the rule, stay in Plat or go to Casual so you can scoop freely. Even getting to Diamond with meta decks is demotivating, this meta just sucks ass.

Tear format was the closest to grinding an EdoPro bot. 95% of decks were Tears and what wasn't was weak to the same shit. 1% was Branded, not counting Branded Tear variants.
The worst format of the past year was Runick Stun, 2nd worst was the past one with Mathmech, Lab, Purrely and Kashtira.
Yeah I played floodgate decks and it was alright (plunder too, plunder into tear was surprisingly not that bad of a time) but in the current meta everything is so ass to face

Evenly and Kaijus cover everything but Lab and Mathmech.. VS isn't any different. They can't stop Evenly without Baronne and if you Kaiju a lone Rock they're fricked. They need VS names to tag out and to activate their S/T, and they're force hold on to Bystials, Ash, Maxx etc. to maintain VS effects. If they're forced to use the handtraps they just cripple their engine.

Don't bother, with fountain to 1 Stun is the only version worth playing. The funniest part is stun was ALREADY the strongest Runick deck before the banlist, and its the only one that doesn't care about 1 fountain.

Smart man. Yes, Fenrir banish on opponent's turn on top of Noir spins is nasty. Getting the other Fenrir in my hand for next turn just in case, is really nice as well. In total, Fenrir synergizes. I tried putting in more Kash and it simply did not work.
To expound a bit on this since I'm bored: yeaping on your opponent's turn into Noir for Sleepy draws, while Stray is up, is basically instant win still.
You can only get Noir up consistently using Yeap now. Delicious isn't reliable enough.

Shotgun Droll is fine but Droll kind of doesn't get as much value if they have a certain hand because Borger and Jiaolong both are QE to draw and search. Ash on Razen is always correct even when they go Stake your Soul. You're gambling if you Imperm/Veiler Razen but if you think they don't have Borger or Caesar it also works, I would rather save Imperm for next turn on Rock if I can help it. Razen is the only real chokepoint.

Is this card a meme? There's a fun interaction with assault synchron and any Bystial turning into Dis Pater and Baronne, but that requires you to run Stardust Dragon and Dis Pater's negate is really weak. It might as well not be there.
It seems so much stronger to just go into Chaos Ruler and then extend from there. You also have more extra deck space.
You are supposed to make Seals to play around Nib, not Baronne. Most hands can't even make a Baronne under 5 summons and still continue to combo.
Pater really shines in Mannadium post support. In everything else it's very meta and matchup dependent.

It's overrated by some and underrated by others. People either think it's shit or amazing, but it's just another board breaker of which there are plenty. I'm sure there will be some meta in the future where it's worth playing.
It's good. But people simply giving up on it since it's still semi-limited so even gren maju hesitates to play since 2 copies is easier to banish with desires.
It's an unsearchable non-engine card. Being limited doesn't matter for whether or not you play it. If you banished both copies with desires then it's exactly the same as having ran 0 copies of it.
Every non-engine card is searchable with thrust. The strength that raigeki has over any boardbreaker is that it isn't once per turn without weird restriction so either it's good at 3 or it's whatever on hit restriction(semis or limited).
Raigeki not being OPT is not a real upside in practice.
Most spell negates negate activations so opening 2 Lightning Storms or 2 Talents or any other OPT board breaker against a Baronne is not any different from opening 2 Raigeki. The first copy gets negated and the second copy resolves.
Well lightning storm and talent has weird restriction. Also sprightslop and plantroony has its cases with effect negation instead of activation.
Also the most prevalent one probably cyberseslop with diameter.
It's one of those cards, you aren't expecting others to play, so it can catch you be surprise when you see it.

Witchcrafter decklist that uses 0 Confusion, which is quite a nice bonus. Taught me the lesson to stop depending on MDM decklists so much, especially for less popular archetypes.

Don't play funny decks if you reach Diamond, that's pretty much the rule, stay in Plat or go to Casual so you can scoop freely. Even getting to Diamond with meta decks is demotivating, this meta just sucks ass.

I unironically had more fun in Tearlament format (and I hated it since I like playing GY decks)
Tear format was the closest to grinding an EdoPro bot. 95% of decks were Tears and what wasn't was weak to the same shit. 1% was Branded, not counting Branded Tear variants.
The worst format of the past year was Runick Stun, 2nd worst was the past one with Mathmech, Lab, Purrely and Kashtira.
Yeah I played floodgate decks and it was alright (plunder too, plunder into tear was surprisingly not that bad of a time) but in the current meta everything is so ass to face

Evenly and Kaijus cover everything but Lab and Mathmech.. VS isn't any different. They can't stop Evenly without Baronne and if you Kaiju a lone Rock they're fricked. They need VS names to tag out and to activate their S/T, and they're force hold on to Bystials, Ash, Maxx etc. to maintain VS effects. If they're forced to use the handtraps they just cripple their engine.
Also, the deck brick hard without Razen NS.
Lab and Mathmech are so fricking obnoxious to face going second without running the jank called Red Reboot,
VS is probably gonna drop off for a while as long as people are playing Branded again. The Branded matchup is fricking ASS for VS.

Don't bother, with fountain to 1 Stun is the only version worth playing. The funniest part is stun was ALREADY the strongest Runick deck before the banlist, and its the only one that doesn't care about 1 fountain.
You only play 1 fountain in that version anyways, bro. You usually use boss stage as your field spell and use runick cards just to puke out 9s for world legacy monstrosity

Nobody was running Fenrir in Purrely decks before. You might see it the odd time, but for the most part you'd only run into Ghostrick Purrely or pure Purrely. I haven't seen many people at all slot Fenrir into Purrely.

Smart man. Yes, Fenrir banish on opponent's turn on top of Noir spins is nasty. Getting the other Fenrir in my hand for next turn just in case, is really nice as well. In total, Fenrir synergizes. I tried putting in more Kash and it simply did not work.
To expound a bit on this since I'm bored: yeaping on your opponent's turn into Noir for Sleepy draws, while Stray is up, is basically instant win still.
You can only get Noir up consistently using Yeap now. Delicious isn't reliable enough.

Shotgun Droll is fine but Droll kind of doesn't get as much value if they have a certain hand because Borger and Jiaolong both are QE to draw and search. Ash on Razen is always correct even when they go Stake your Soul. You're gambling if you Imperm/Veiler Razen but if you think they don't have Borger or Caesar it also works, I would rather save Imperm for next turn on Rock if I can help it. Razen is the only real chokepoint.
