why should I care unless they redo all the rules I dont want to look at my opponent combo for 20 minutes while wearing a helmet
This. I always thought about a hypothetical world where they made actual duel disk or something close, and if they did that and managed to hit a world wide phenomenon like what GO did for Pokemon, they would have to rebuild from scratch. I'm not saying this is what going to happen with this VR thing, but it would be great if it did.
Within one week of release two young black men will stab each other in a Dennys Parking Lot after they both attempt a turn one Exodia. Screencap this.
How do they even know how to read to play this game.
Yugioh is THE black card game, moron
Oh they will duel for cards alright, just not yugioh duels.
I'm more surprised it too THIS LONG for them to make a VR game
Considering VR has had such a difficult start and most titles are rather hit-or miss I figured a company like Konami will try to make it as "flawless" and appealing to normies as possible.
>VR for DL
DOA
>shitty tabletop view
I ACTIVATE POT OF GREED TO DRAW THREE CARDS FROM MY DECK
THAT'S NOT WHAT IT DOES
>with monsters such as the blue eyes white dragon
..........
I will not be satisfied until projection tech comes far enough for us to have duels like in the anime.
Magic shit aside, Zexal is pretty much the best case situation where they used AR glasses to see the monsters and stuff.
>zexal
>not 5Ds
Imagine being so much of a homosexual you don't want to duel at 75 mph
TFW we will all be too old/dead to witness duelists blazing down highways with hologram monsters
VR is shit, wake me up when they are holograms.
The answer is spatial computing. You can play video games while driving a Tesla these days
>think to myself this is what 8 year old me always wanted
>seeing the monsters come to life like on TV and dueling shit
>realize that that was 20+ years ago
>game has evolved to dramatically
>haven’t watched the shows in a decade+
>realized I’m too old and slow to understand these new rules and cards
>reading the small text hurts my eyes and brain
I’m happy but I kinda want to die
>having any amount of faith in Konami
This shit is going to be ass.
here it is lads
>spell card in the monster zone
Didn't even embed the video.
It's better be automated as frick, otherwise it's going to be flooded by shitheads like
VRchat could have an excellent YGO lobby but unfortunately, people are completely moronic.
You could easily filter homosexuals like that by just actually playing the game since they clearly don't know how. Hard stomps is the most effective gatekeeping.
The problem isn't beating morons, the problem is having to waste time explaining to them why they're not being funny here.
That's the sole reason why automated duels had to become a thing when dealing with online even back then.
MAKE A NEW TAG FORCE GAME REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
konambo doesn't make games that aren't gacha or slot machines
I SUMMON POT OF GREED
all they showed off was a scripted experience though, it wasn't even an actual duel but a test where kaiba tries to kill you by continuing the test of letting blue eyes attack you and dark magician girl because that's the kind of guy he is
>he doesn't want Kaiba to try and kill him
ngmi
i never said that
If you read this carefully, you'll see that they're talking about putting an earlier format of the game into the VR game. Probably GX era or when Synchros were first introduced.
I'm personally more interested in the AI part, dueling my own shitty deck could be funny.
>Time to have a duel with 3D monsters
>Lose all interest when the opponent is a metagay using an omni-negate board
No thanks.
Are they finally making a new PVE Yugioh game? I'm tired of al lthis P2W PVP bullshit.
Mad cus bad
yugioh is the only gacha game where people defend that the game company can ban your paid cards in pve/pvp.
What they need to do is make like a Duelist Kingdom format.
Limit the card options to decks and booster packs up to a certain cut off date.
Those that want to try to feel like they're 10 again watching Yugi face down Kaiba outside Pegasus's castle can do so, while the autists who understand Synchro and Pendulum can have fun in their corner.
Unironically this has been a direction I've wanted VR games to go for a long time, to get out of the FPS space and use VR for other genres. Card games are an easy move.
yugioh fricking sucks so I don't care
If this isn't a VR duelist of the roses, then it's fricking shit.
sure thing grampa
the OST is still so fricking good
good luck making 3d models for thousands and thousands of different monsters.
>Konami
>YGO
>VR
>Unity
LOL this is going to be funny to see fail
VR will never take off.
