Official map that came packaged with the game.
what's with boomers reminiscing about spending time drawing their own maps when 80% of it is already laid out for you? what about shit like metroid where there's countless reused rooms and no indication for how much space you should set aside on the paper? i feel like nobody does this shit outside of actual dungeon crawlers
are thoese boomers is the room with you as we speak?
I truly believe this game’s reputation for being so cryptic comes from the botched translation and the fact that people today are playing it without the manual and map that came with it. When you look at the original dialogue, the manual that tells you the different enemy and location names, and the map, it isn’t too bad.
The only really questionable parts are finding the entrance to level 8, and needing the silver arrows to kill Ganon.
These parts are hinted at but even in the original Japanese the hints are pretty bad.
Full overworld map with dungeon and item locations. Contains spoilers.
Just recently replayed LoZ and while I don't know all the secret burnable bushes by heart, I still have no idea what
>Secret is in the tree at the Dead-End
is in reference to
No shit? Well I guess I didn't need the hint.
Besides, who hides a whole labyrinth under a bush anyways.
>Besides, who hides a whole labyrinth under a bush anyways.
Gentlemen with a backyard who kidnap teenage girls.
This game came out in 1986, and had that much incredible content and area to explore...
And on top of that a second quest with a few new game mechanics added.
I'm actually dumbfounded how Nintendo pulled that off.
I want to see what someone can do today with 128kB. Can they make something that good?
Pic related is bigger than Zelda 1's data.
Let's not get too circlejerky, we had 3D vector games in 79, a bunch of ugly 2D screens in 86 isn't THAT impressive
Yeah and those games sucked and led nowhere.
>ultima
>inspired zelda
why are you nintentards all the same.
god i hate you morons so fricking much. you drag a good game like zelda down. no respect for any other developer.
You have just started a new quest.
What is the first thing you do?
Call me a pleb but I enter the cave and get the sword obviously.
The wooden sword is actually optional. You can skip straight to the white sword if you know what you’re doing.
>get the candle
>get the bombs
>get the big shield
>get the bait
>get the red potion
>get the blue armor
>get the white sword
>get the power bracelet
>clear every dungeon in order
>destroy Ganon
mute my TV and put on a phantasy star soundtrack
Get the sword and do the beach loop for keys and bombs
>get the sword
>enter level 1
>do a 360 and walk away
>now have an extra key
Reminder that Capcom is pure garbage outside of Mikami and Kamiya and all their Zeldas suck. Just dropped this shit at picrel
OK nintendtard drone
Peak Auster
Inferior to Zelda II
You think the rumored remake is this one?
I really hope it's not OoTslop and chibi trash again.
this is the same Link that's in Link's Awakening
What's the best port of this game? Is the original still the best version?
NES version is the best, but the GBA version is still pretty good.
Anyone ever done a three heart minimalist run in this game? I always get wall'd by the wizzrobe rooms in Level 6.
I’m not that good. I’ve beat the original Zelda once or twice, but I always stock up on potions and take a shit load of damage at the end.
