The best AC will get is some sort of "action game" category award. But even in this category it will have to compete with RE4 and since the games can't be reasonably compared in any way it's pretty obvious which one has broader appeal.
Baldurs gate has the same genre apathy problem but is being received very well by most right now. Unfortunately other shitter devs have made it clear that we shouldn't expect other similar games to as good as BG3 and so I don't expect any crpg revival anytime soon. Baldurs gate has the same genre apathy problem but is being received very well by most right now.
