Zoomers and Nostalgiacucks who have been begging for this really don't remember that the original Assassin's Creed game was not very good, do they?

We remember that this game didn't used to have female protagonist bullshit.

They all happen after Desmond "died". Now that he's alive there is no more reason to prolong this pointless meme, unless maybe you want women drafted too in real life.

          What meme?

Miltary contractors claiming female protag video games as war-crime simulators kind of meme. Can't really blame them for coming to this conclusion. No one would expect female protagonist in games like these.

              >military
What. These are games about assassins doing assassinations and parkour shit. How did they even come to that conclusion?

                >war-crime
Who knows what does this word even mean? It's about crime against humanity, if you ask me. But is that how real life works?

Kek. If it's not popular from memes or streamers, they don't know it exists.

zoomers will never know the feeling of making your way through the treacherous canyons of the Holy Land and finally reaching Damascus with this song in the background as the city sits in the hot desert gleaming in the refracting horizon

the atmosphere was great and fricking around the cities was fun, i miss it

I wish they would have stuck with the assassin premise more with the sequels. 1 was great and its only major fault was the repetitiveness

Replaying the first game makes me appreciate what the sequels changed/added/improved. Up to Unity at least.

I'm just glad we're getting something to make the wait for Red seem shorter
if that game has all of Japan with every historical major city it will be exactly what I've wanted from this series from the beginning

      Less bloated Unity?

Yeah, I remember how Ezio used to teleport to assassinate multiple people at once

It's not about "what it was" but "what it could've been".
AC1 is more similar to Unity than any other game in the franchise.

I remember being so excited for AC1. The premise sounded amazing. Then I played it for 4 hours (more than it deserved) and have been raging about it for over a decade.

The main issue with original AC is that the quests to get Intel on your target didn't matter and you could counter spam your way out of infinite guards so you didn't feel very assassin-y
Also that dogshit "ackshually it was aliens!" ending, what the frick was that horseshit
