open world= no exploration
they just put everything on the same planing field and hand it to the player on a silver plate
Paldea's level design is non existent
>open world= no exploration
Anon, they can't be the same. Open world is entirely reliant on the player choosing what to do instead of following a set path.
>player choosing what to do instead of following a set path
yeah that's the premise, in reality you are just going through the same copypasted crap that remains the same from the start to finish
>solaceon ruins
FRICK THAT SHIT
Going up and down the stairs is like picking a branch in Navel Rock.
Not to mention, in order to collect the Unknowns, they're set to designated rooms that you have to run around in.
The Unknown was Game Freaks biggest mistake.
Such a fricking nothing burger. >FireRed/LeafGreen added punctuation formes ["!" & "?"] >Gotta catch all 26 before gaining access to two more "who gives a frick" variations of a shit Pokémon
Honestly yea, was there anything ever planned with unown that got scrapped? between the ruins of alph and solaceon ruins, it feels like there was supposed to be some big reveal about unown, instead they're just funny alphabet pokemon with no real use or coherent lore afaik
I caught all the Unown in Solaceon Ruins recently, and I honestly think the game gives you enough reason to do so. For starters, the “!” & “?” Unown are only half of the reward for collecting the other 26; there’s a Rare Candy on the exterior of the ruins that can only be accessed by catching all Unown, and it only serves to taunt the player unless they’re committed enough. Secondly, you can create letter seals by showing the little girl in one of the cabins your various Unown, so you can write really fricking goofy messages and put them on full display every time you send out your Pokémon. I don’t care what anyone says, this shit will always be endearing to me. Lastly, it’s just feels so gratifying seeing all 28 Unown in your PC aligned in alphabetical order. I understand if some people don’t think it’s worth their time, but there’s definitely shit to get out of it if you choose to do so.
Hippopotas' spawn rate is also tied to catching unown, as you catch unowns the ruin maniac digging the tunnel digs out more and more which changes the spawn rate from 5% to about 20 when you've caught them all.
zoomers are gay obese smelly
And also troons
YEEHAW!

Gen 9 is literally open world.

By that logic a game based on exploration can't exist period.
Open world of glitches and nothing. Cope more.
Yeah, OP is baiting.

Not every mystery needs a reveal.
If Unown had a linear and conclusive storyline they wouldn't be nearly as interesting.
They aren't very interesting now.
Because they're unused. In Gold and Silver the areas tied to them were by far the coolest in the game.

It's stupid.
You know Gen4 is peak early zoomer
>early
you mean late.
This isn't exploration, this is poor level design.
Only zoomers praise Gen 4 thoughever
Not true.
Comfy
Open world
>noo noo its the same copypasted railroad start to finish
Literal railroad routes
>yup this is 100% factual real exploration
