Zelda 3 has got it right. Not too much action, not too much puzzles.
That's also why you can't speed-traverse the map, because in every screen there is 5 fricking animals.
If I want to go from A to B in Zelda 3, it's easily done.
I only played ALttP a few years ago. Everything after beating Ganon is pure kino. Best ending in the series.

I hate how this game tries to have a Z-axis despite not really having one. Enemies "fly" but it's functionally no different from an enemy on the ground standing further away from you, you still need to stand in the same position you would to hit a grounded enemy, but bwcause it looks liks their flying it looks like Link shold just be hitting thin air despits doing damage, you can't walk under enemies and when it looks like you should you just take damage. If they couldn't get a Z-axis to actually work they should have just abandoned the idea of flying enemies, it just looks moronic and adds nothing to the game.
