What age do you guys think the Courier would canonically be ? I always thought he'd be in his late 30s. akin to Ulysses since they sort of mirror one another.
He has covered a lot of ground, knows the NCR, has been to Arizona, Utah, the whole Lonesome Drifter dialogue choice too.
I have the impression he's somewhat old, perhaps bordering middle age, but the npcs seem to address the player character as being rather youthful so maybe the Courier is just some kid that went out to find adventure and is just somewhat competent and knowledgeable about the world, as much as a courier should be anyway.
>watches his wife getting a train ran on her by a whole squad of legion as he jerk offs >post nut clarity enrages him, causing him to kill his wife
what did they mean making the NCR companion a canon cuck?
That must be why even rural americans are becoming increasingly cynical about enlisting, and the army is becoming exceedingly desperate for new recruits that they're lowering the standards down to highschool dropouts.
Why does the NCR in NV feel like a structured military with a society while the BoS in 4 doesn't? They're pretty similar but the BoS didn't feel like a society. None of the factions did. I can't really say why.
The Broyherhood was pretty brutal the slaughter the institution and that scientist that builds prime. They were also infiltrated by synths. They commandeered local villages and killed the other factions.
The minutemen were all but killed before you show up.
Because Bethesda has shitty writers that put no thought or effort into their factions.
What even was the institute's fricking goal?
Why does the railroad all hang out in one place with a centralized leadership that can easily be targeted if they are found?
How do the BoS plan to operate so far from DC without the means to resupply and reinforce themselves?
Why do the Minutemen make you their "Leader" if they are just going to tell you what to do and send you to fight all their battles for them anyways?
Bethesda just decided they wanted factions to fit into whatever archetypes they could think of and never asked themselves how on earth they could ever work or function in a practical sense.
>Why does the railroad all hang out in one place with a centralized leadership that can easily be targeted if they are found?
what do you mean anon? everybody mildly important hanging out at the same place is exactly how you fight a guerrilla war or rebellion
Ah, I too love getting to finally live out my deepest fantasies about being a laboratory test rat tasked with navigating my way through a maze before a timer hits zero and kills me.
You have to understand how INT works in the fallout universe >1 INT = 40IQ >2 INT = 75 IQ >3 INT = 100 IQ >4 INT = 120 IQ >5 INT = 150 IQ >6 INT and above = hyperintelligent alien with IQ beyond comprehension
It's important to know that depression and alcoholism can impair your ability to think so I think Boone is more burdened by those things more than anything else.
I've always viewed 5 int as average inntelligemce. Anything lower as dumb or straight up moronic at lower levels as in FO 1 and 2 it turns your character into a caveman level reatard.
Maybe Arcade is straight up "smarter", but that doesn't mean he has the same skills or mindset as House. Plus, the S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats probably don't really mean much.
And after hearing his backstory it was obvious he wasn't very intelligent
>26 in game
>shot his own pregnant wife at 21
Who's the homosexual on the upper left?
The maker's OC courier if I had to guess (he has a bullet scar on his forehead)
Cass is 37? What a fricking old hag. Atleast veronica is still young doe

38 years old. He's the Chosen One's bastard child from New Reno in my headcanon.
but that would be Mr.Bishop then, that's this guy's boss
Issac mentions Bishop has quite the wanderlust, and I think you could say thats a character trait inherited from the Chosen One.
38 years old does seem like the best choice for his age though
The Chosen One could had multiple bastards.
The Chosen One's wild penis will save the wasteland
Courier spent quite a bit of time in new reno at least. He recognized this guy.
mid 30s, but looks more youthful than average
Early 30's. Old enough to be experienced with the wasteland but still young enough to thrive effectively
Cass is fricking hot. I don't care if she's 37.
>Is the equivalent of a typical military "muh patriotism" zogbot marine
NCR is the NPC faction. Raul mogs him
If he were a hopeless zogbot, why would he feel suicidally guilty over bitter springs?
Humanizing raiders is zogbot behavior.
>9 INT
Let me guess, she's not a pure maiden?
She banishes the player character to hell for no real reason
You didn't answer my question
That is a completely different game, you moron.
She makes smalltalk about some dude she fricked while you're on a date
Gey. I'll stick with the galahad path then
that's a girl? the armor is that of a man
That's only a little below average. Probably higher than the average person who uses this board.
>watches his wife getting a train ran on her by a whole squad of legion as he jerk offs

what did they mean making the NCR companion a canon cuck?
so that all companions in new vegas are lgbt+
>no happy ending for Lily
I failed my gramma.
Leo is alright
>Literally any soldier archetype has spergs going about Le ZOG
You can't make me enlist.
its a core part of the young moronic "counter culture" aesthetic (trust fund suburban)
That must be why even rural americans are becoming increasingly cynical about enlisting, and the army is becoming exceedingly desperate for new recruits that they're lowering the standards down to highschool dropouts.
Not enlisting zogBlack person
Why does the NCR in NV feel like a structured military with a society while the BoS in 4 doesn't? They're pretty similar but the BoS didn't feel like a society. None of the factions did. I can't really say why.
Because NCR has flaws like bureaucracy and nepotism and petty leaders sabotaging their own efforts
The Broyherhood was pretty brutal the slaughter the institution and that scientist that builds prime. They were also infiltrated by synths. They commandeered local villages and killed the other factions.
The minutemen were all but killed before you show up.
Because BoS are supposed to be a group of militaristic schzios whose main goal is just hording tech.
Because Bethesda has shitty writers that put no thought or effort into their factions.

>What even was the institute's fricking goal?
Next generation Gorillabot 2.0
>Why does the railroad all hang out in one place with a centralized leadership that can easily be targeted if they are found?
what do you mean anon? everybody mildly important hanging out at the same place is exactly how you fight a guerrilla war or rebellion
Because Bethesda can't write for shit?
Because Bethesda literally has no one with any military background to bother asking
Ulysses companion when?
Already a mod for that. He even grabs your face like the other companions and monologues to you about your life choices.
vault 22... home
I prefer Vault 34
Ah, I too love getting to finally live out my deepest fantasies about being a laboratory test rat tasked with navigating my way through a maze before a timer hits zero and kills me.
>Stay the out
Did someone translate a reddit post?
"The" is part of the statement below "stay out". there are two sentences on that sign.
Based Randall nearly annihilating these buttholes.
You have to understand how INT works in the fallout universe
>1 INT = 40IQ
>2 INT = 75 IQ
>3 INT = 100 IQ
>4 INT = 120 IQ
>5 INT = 150 IQ

Most NCR soldiers have five INT. Are you telling me all those privates are geniuses?
Yeah, they become more moronic the longer they spend in the army
3 int and bellow are considered mentally moronic in Fallout 1, 2, and NV. So yes, canonically Boone is moronic. Maybe 70 IQ.
It's important to know that depression and alcoholism can impair your ability to think so I think Boone is more burdened by those things more than anything else.
I prefer the head cannon that he has down syndrome. Have you seen him without glasses?
That's only a joke for the courier, for NPCs i think it's just their abilities in-game, Frank Horrigan has perfect stats
I've always viewed 5 int as average inntelligemce. Anything lower as dumb or straight up moronic at lower levels as in FO 1 and 2 it turns your character into a caveman level reatard.
Makes sense. He's NCR.
As expected of a man wearing a beret.
>simps for NCR
>also a moron
Checks out.
He's a depressed alcoholic.
>shoots his wife
>grunts
This guy has better characterization than anything bethesda has shat out and he's not even close to the best character
Have you talked to him? He isn't very bright.
Neither was Arcade, but he was Sawyer's self-insert so he has a higher INT than fricking House
Maybe Arcade is straight up "smarter", but that doesn't mean he has the same skills or mindset as House. Plus, the S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats probably don't really mean much.
The same could be said of Boone, though I think it's a stretch that anyone would be on House's level
>Josh Sawyer's self insert was a wienermongling homosexual
yep, checks out
Hard Pete.
go away troons
Boone is cute, leave him alone
>3 INT
>shoots his wife instead of the legion soldiers
3 INT checks out
[Speech 100] West the east east west. Frick off.
