>64gb model is 320 bucks + 1 year warranty
So what's the catch on this? Have you bought other refurbished gaming hardware/peripherals before, Ganker? How did that work out?
Will I risk getting a semen-stained Steam Deck because some fatfrick rubbed his dick on it?
>using wera instead of pbswiss
Valve is finished imagine falling for taiwan tier tools using loose made in czech laws to make your chink crap appear czech.
I fricking love hunting for refurbished monitors and keyboards
Hasnt failed me yet tbh
lol so deck is actually failing this hard huh? Glad I didn't belive you shills.
The hell are you talking about, lad?
what?
https://www.nintendo.com/store/products/nintendo-switch-lite-yellow-refurbished/
how can someone with this poor of a reading comprehension read manga?
face it, tons of fomo steamies jumped at the chance to buy these then let it sit on a shelf for a week collecting dust and realized it is a piece of fad hardware and returned it. Now Valve is on the hook for ten of thousands of these things and has to shovel them back out the door.
How does that make any sense to you? Valve doesn't buy back shit you regret buying. Refurbished items are RMA returns that are fixed and sold at a discount rather than being tossed in the bin, welcome to basic electronics industry functions.
you've never returned something after a week with it realizing you dont need it? I mean I realize you are all jobless neets with no money to buy shit in the first place but come on.
jesus christ, you're the most obnoxious c**t I've seen this year
Someone else's coom and fecal matter is on it is the catch.
>what's the catch?
'omone's 'ick 'as 'n 'e 'eck
>holding a pre 'icked 'eck
does that make you a homo?
That catch is I laid my fat wiener on it nightly.
so buy a 64 gigsbite model and put a 1 or 2TB SSD into it
>banevading moron spams his phimosis every fricking day on the board for years
>gets rewarded by becoming a timeless meme
Why do you homosexuals always feed the attentionprostitutes?

he doesn't have phimosis you ESL fricking homosexual Hispanic, you can clearly see he retracts his foreskin you Black person MUTT
Don't care. I'm not analyzing some dude's microdick you fricking homosexual.
>So what's the catch on this?
Like the store page says it might have some scuffs on the case or something minor. But the system itself is repaired by Valve themselves and guaranteed to work.
However, the follow up tweet saying GameStop will sell Decks that they refurbish themselves is sus as frick, and I would not encourage anyone to get a Deck touched by GameStop. If you want one, get it from Valve themselves.

Yeah id trust Valve more than Gameslop especially for the actual testing
They do have a 2 year warranty though but eh not worth
I bought a refurbished Wii U and New 3DS XL from Nintendo and they were basically indistinguishable from brand new. I imagine this will be the same, especially if Valve is actually repairing them and giving them a warranty.
What I'm personally interested in is if they'll also do sales on these when they do sales for the new Decks. If they do 10% off the 64GB refurbished models, that would put it at ~$287, which is cheaper than a Switch. I'd probably pull the trigger on one if that happens.
someone already 'icked the 'eck
so uhhh....there was this guy who used a chemical to know if someone had previously jizzed on used figure he bought from ebay, maybe we can do this with these second hand decks?
How many hotglued figs did he find?
a lot, people paid him to clean their figures. the one video i saw he was demonstrating how to check if a figure was glassed with a bunny girl erza
Is there a good stylus that works with the Steam Deck? Curious about emulating 3ds games on it.
I bought a refurbished LGC2 at best buy for $650 after tax, usually retails closer to $900-1000 or higher.
Getting 4K, OLED, HDR, 120Hz, and Gsync on a panel for this price is unheard of and it's basically a new panel, very happy with it. I also bought a refurbished 3080ti for $600 a week ago and it came with a two year warranty, so no issues or even risk involved there. Just a cheap GPU that looked brand new when I opened it.
Refurbished hardware is literally just free discounts at no additional risk provided you're getting it from a trusted seller that will provide a warranty.
the only thing you shouldn't buy refurbished is storage
>I bought a refurbished LGC2 at best buy for $650 after tax
You know the LG C2 is going for about 650 new at Costco right now yea? The C3 just came out so the C2 models are dumping in price. I saw the 42" at my local warehouse for 650USD new with a 100 dollar gift card bunbled at Costco. The 55" was going for 800 with the same gift card bundle.
In-store only? Never been able to find it at that price online.
Had I known they had a deal like that before buying my current one I'd definitely have gone with that though.
Happy regardless since I still got a good price all things considered.
yeah
>In-store only
Yes it started Sunday. They still had 5 or 6 of the 42", 48" and 55" models left on Monday afternoon. Also not all stores participate in the gift-card but mine did. Still a superb panel. My desktop has the 48" gaymur OLED from LG and my livingroom has a 2016 OLED from LG with no permanent retention still to this day (it does get a lot of temp retention though but only if it idles on static screens for a long time, that is fixed in newer models).
Was thinking to grab a 55" for my bedroom and another 48" for dual screen on my desktop.
Where'd you get the GPU, eBay?
lmao, no catch.
Being an e-commerce seller (who unironically uses his unit for work, yes, laugh at me), it's kind of insane how much the stupid box and some cellophane is worth. There's even a market in selling those empty boxes so you can put in like-new units into them and sell them as "brand new."
How many ebay resellers actually put their ick on eck before you buy them?
dammit i wanted to enjoy this paycheck to myself and just pig out
should we expect deck 2? valve should be ashamed that chinks can make handhelds that are smaller, bezeless oled 1080p 120hz screen, more powerful, better battery
The catch is it’s made by known scammers who commit false advertising and fraud.
Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta without even allowing users to invite friends like they said they would in January 2021 and does not deserve your financial support for these gross consumer-unfriendly practices.
I wish Valve would frick over dotards more frequently.
>So what's the catch on this?
It's huge, has a shit 1.5 hour battery life and has a poor screen.
Digital gaming sucks. No physical no buy.
You can literally get $1-200 off new shit just by buying warehouse returns that some debt max tard impulse bought on a whim and got the payment declined. Companies cannot resell them as new after shipping.
Think of all the dicks these refurbished decks have been on
well, the catch is that you're buying a SteamDeck that can't even emulate with as much power as a fricking phone.
also dicks and smegma being rubbed all over it is not only a possibility but a very real likelihood.
>also dicks and smegma being rubbed all over it is not only a possibility but a very real likelihood
This.
The ick homosexual ruined any chance of anons buying refurbished.
>a SteamDeck that can't even emulate with as much power as a fricking phone.
homie there's not a phone in existence that has a 15W TDP. they all throttle in less then a minute and then your fancy phone is as good as every other snapdragon phone.
>full 30fps on totk on my ultra23
>deck chug a lugs at 25
hmmmmmmmmm
nope
I buy refurbished laptops frequently.
Ideally what you're getting is an RMA'd unit that has been fixed and is essentially new. sometimes dodgy resellers claim things are "refurbished" but only official stores or warranty agents can provide such units.
I'd be willing to bet these refurb units are the overstock & returns due to early/launch window issues with fans.
considering how many people were returning units due to squeaky buttons and noisy fans it would not surprise me.
Yeah I just meant that anon is right, a huge chunk of these are probably just RMA'd and not necessarily used to any significant degree.
oh no, they wouldn't be. valve wouldn't be selling them like that. if there were gouges on the case for instance they can just replace the whole case.
gamestop on the other hand...
I mean you can't legally re-sell them as new, so there's no point in hanging on to these when you can sell them at a minor discount.
>even cheaper for people to get a deck
That's great!
Not cheap enough.
Won't pay a dime over $250 + tip
Refurbished is when you buy something pre-owned, most of the time they get returns after the first week or month for consoles with major sellers. With secondary sellers, it could mean from years worth of heavy use to brand new.
I have literally never had a good experience with refurbished crap and have had to help repair other peoples' refurbished comps a dozen fricking times.
Lots of refurbished electronics are good as long as they are not laptops or phones unfortunately. Game consoles usually are fine.
The Deck is essentially a latop though
If the refurbished stuff has a warranty and comes from a trusted retailer then yeah frick it go for it
This just doesnt apply to the eck, most refurnished hardware are practically no risk buys on perpetual discounts
Cum stains not withstanding
