Alright, it's not a 10/10 with that act 3, even if it only starts falling apart near the end it's still a problem. Realistically it needs another year in the oven, so if you've managed to not buy it yet, then just wait for the Enhanced Edition to come out.
Still, the game is a monumental effort that will be on all the lists at the end of the decade.

It's packed with content you haven't found. I encountered only a handful of bugs throughout the whole game. You aren't even being specific in your complaint, you're just saying "ACT 3 BAD."
NTA but you don't know how autistic I am. The only content I haven't found is content that is mutually exclusive. Act 3 is undeniably quite buggy (rescuing the hostages was one of the buggiest things I've ever done in a game, for instance) but still pretty much playable. I'm just sad I killed the Strange Ox and got cucked out of the Karlach romance because of it, only bug that really bothered me in my whole playthrough.

I know there's stuff I haven't found and I don't mind that. I don't mind small bugs either, but they've started piling up and it's getting a bit too much. Steel Watch aggression is definitely wonky and even pools of blood haven't been clearing between long rests for me.
I also like doing stealthy shit in this game, especially with invis I've done some incredible infiltrations, and the game has barely accounted for this playstyle in Act 3.

The branching paths for companions leads to very different outcomes for some people.

Some people actually liked the setting of Baldur's Gate in the Forgotten Realms and the final end reveal pretty much ruins the entire thing for most people.

It's just bugs and unaccounted for choices accumulating over a 30-40 hour unpolished act. It'll be fixed in time, but right now it's rough.
Same reason why I only play these games 6 month after release, CPRG are just not the best experience at release, plus you get mods.

Act 3 is unironically the best thing I ever saw in gaming. It's not only unpredictable with a lot of insane plot twists, but it also is insanely fun.
The first part of Act 3 is already an easy 10/10. Never thought Act 3 can even top Act 1 and Act 2.

It released in a completely different environment where most other games are kinda shit. Like the best games this year for the most part have been remakes, even TotK uses the same map. BG3 is damn good, it's a Witcher 3 tier game. I realize Ganker is contrarian and loves to shit on Witcher 3 but if's that level of quality, scope, and immersion.

I think the praise for the game is way overblown, but once the ball gets rolling they all just roll with it. Same with totk. And every Nintendo game you can imagine. They're secretly funded by Nintendo, each and every "fansite," for the purpose of bloating scores for marketing purposes.
Since metacritic, and most game journalists, don't see a problem with this, then they can all be safely discarded as untrustworthy. They don't want to question these things because they don't want to risk their cushy jobs, so any review they give to any game should be suspect.
