I know you don’t want to hear it but you should really build. It will be cheaper and much better and you will absolutely have to work inside of it at some point. A prebuilt is not a console, you will have issues
Normally this is true but currently , it's actually $300-$500 cheaper to purchase a pre built with a 3070 TI than it is to buy the components individually.
>A 3070 is like $800 listed on sketchy stores.
? I can get a 3080 off newegg for $800 now a days. The worst part of prebuilts is they almost 100% are shipping you used parts at a premium price.
Not really. The other components were actually decent with no bottlenecks. The only thing I did was strip the components and put it in my older case with better air flow.
That hasn't been true for a couple years now. Prebuilt is the best bang for buck. Actually a console is, but obviously a PC if you want to play pc games
I might just get a 3080 GPU, how long will that alst?

it depends on how much nvidia improves their next gen gpus. The GTX 1080 came out 6 years ago and it's still a really solid gpu, assuming you play at 1080p

>depends on how much nvidia improves their next gen gpus
kinda but not really, it mostly depends on how long poor people are going to continue to be lazy and not get ahead in their lives and get to a point where they can finally upgrade their cards and developers can finally use new gear as benchmarks, instead of old 2019 shit
In the early '00s AMD GPU drivers were genuinely troublesome. These days they are fine. The real consideration these days is DLSS and RTX, which are worth the NVIDIA tax imo.
I personally purchased the 1650 Super variant of their gaming desktops and I am pleased. It is an excellent machine and the price is an absolute steal.
Do not get this OP, its being shilled all over the board. Go to NZXT or iBuyPower and check out their prebuilts. Get whatever had at least 3060ti and use that, you may want to swap out the PSU though, Ive heard the prebuilt PSUs can be chink shit
Not op but I got a prebuild that ran PS4 generation games and now when I play new games they run shitty so I do I just get any new gpu to upgrade or will that blow it up or what?
> Intel 3.10hz
could you be a bit more specific? I'm assuming it's some 4core i5 (4-7gen) with probably 8gb of ram. If so, your best bet would be to just buy a whole new pc
That sounds pricey do you think anyone will buy my old shit parts?

>do you think anyone will buy my old shit parts?
probably, sell cpu, ram, and mobo as a bundle and the gpu on it's own. Sold some old i5+mobo i had last year to some pajeet with his kids for good money >That sounds pricey
still cheaper than consoles in the long run considering free online and cheaper (or free, heh) games
There are so many builders out there, don't get an HP bro. I'm also incredibly lazy and bought a 30L. Ended up having to rip it apart, buy psu, cooling, etc. Seems like it's no effort, but they lie.
I mean I've been playing Guardians of the Galaxy at the lowest settings at 1280 720 resolution and it's just barely playable I don't know if this is considered a high spec game or whatever.
What if it set it at 480p and lower the frame rate from 60 will that make it play better?
>Unobtanium GPU for $1100 on sketch websites
What the frick are you talking about? Literally $600 for a 3070 on newegg right now. What the frick are you smoking?
The 5600X is only fricking $175 on Amazon/newegg right now. $400 my ass. Jesus christ you are moronic.
Don't give a shit, you got scammed like a moron and now you're telling people to buy pre-builts today when it's FAR CHEAPER to build. You paid $400 for a $200 CPU ffs, you frick
>The 5600X is only fricking $175 on Amazon/newegg right now.
NTA but over here the 5600 were 400dollars since uptil it's release. even checked about 2 weeks ago, it was the same.. something really interesting must've happend for it to suddenly change.
gpu prices are low enough where the just build it yourself rule is back in place. You're going to get pricegouged up the ass for worse components to save yourself an afternoon project. consumer IT and computer support are a scam.
>gigabyte mobo
I thought gigabyte was good? with nvidia and all driver stuff.. should one go for Asrock instead? or perhaps even MSI? any I should really avoid like gigabyte? >no dram, get a p5 or something else with dram
I have no idea what dram is, but I will maybe google it after i've posted my reply, am I perhaps moronic? >I would get a cheaper one (for about ~$150) >buy a 1tb ssd with the difference
Done.
Would this be better? >https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tqBmFg
looks good, but that's an expensive psu. I would get a cheaper one (for about ~$150) and buy a 1tb ssd with the difference - double the space for like $40 more
>ASRock B550M Pro4
nvm the gigabyte one was better. My brother has that exact mobo and it's the worst I ever had. >m2 slot defect >sata drives getting corrupted >rgb controller failing after a week >loose contacts on ram slots
ASSrock is literally the bottom of the barrel. All boards I had from them failed in some form or another.
If you can go with msi. I had the least problems with them over the years.
Rest of config looks good
looks good, but that's an expensive psu. I would get a cheaper one (for about ~$150) and buy a 1tb ssd with the difference - double the space for like $40 more
and thank for help anons, have to go before bear wakes up.

Do you really need anything more than a 1060 or 1660 GTX?
No. If you want 1080/60 that's all you need. The 10xx series has incredible value. RTX cards really shine if you have a high refresh rate monitor; also makes TAA tolerable if you supersample.
Never built a pc before but what I want a "gaming" desktop for is pretty much emulation, up to ps3. Would I even need a gpu if I got a powerful ass cpu with integrated graphics?
It's very circumstantial. You probably still want a dedicated GPU, but I don't know if you are looking to emulate past 720/1080 and 30 fps.
>It's very circumstantial. You probably still want a dedicated GPU, but I don't know if you are looking to emulate past 720/1080 and 30 fps.
I only have a tiny 720 monitor and maringally larger 1080 which I could use if I felt like dual monitoring. 60 fps would be nice and I couldn't care less for anything above.

BustBuy sells some great prebuilts. Got one that plays mostly everything except high end VR games for $750 before covid. Last I looked, they were not too much more expensive still.
Fans are not as silent or good at cooling but fans do not spill liquid into your computer when something goes wrong and are cheap as frick and easy to maintain and clean and replace.
And guess what most water cooling solutions still have fans anyway.
grab a prebuilt shotgun and have a nice day
The cheapest one with 3060ti, 12400F/12100F.

show me.
GPU listed is actually a 3070, but the point stands. A 3070 is like $800 listed on sketchy stores.

Go with NZXT, got mine a couple years ago and it runs great.
What kind did you get?
I went with their Starter PC Plus in 2020
Cool, what GPU did you get and how long do you think your PC will last?
Probably last me a few more years, I’m thinking of upgrading more of my shit in a few years though.
I might just get a 3080 GPU, how long will that alst?

Its amd really trash or is it just a meme?
mostly their drivers that are memes. GPU wise. AMD CPUs are fine
In the early '00s AMD GPU drivers were genuinely troublesome. These days they are fine. The real consideration these days is DLSS and RTX, which are worth the NVIDIA tax imo.
AMD CPUs are best value an the market.
I recommend the HP Pavilion gaming desktop

yeah
yeah>
>i agree
frick of HP! stop shilling your trashcan
i bet you can make better money flipping burgers than shilling for hp
doesn't this thing literally have no way of fricking cooling itself, seriously what kind of lifespan does this have
Thank you sir, I will keep this fine product under consideration.

>people simp for this
The sad thing is she used to be cute. At least she can still make a catchy song every so often, although it took a remix to make it decent
Is NZXT good for getting a 3080? Should I wait for the 4000 series?
Not op but I got a prebuild that ran PS4 generation games and now when I play new games they run shitty so I do I just get any new gpu to upgrade or will that blow it up or what?
Also I checked and my computer says I have a Nvidia geforce gtx 1050 ti so what the next
upgrades from that?
RX 6600 xt and maybe a new psu
also what cpu do you have?
Like a shitty one I think Intel 3.10hz when I went on can I run it it.com seemed to think that was a reason I couldn't run new games
> Intel 3.10hz

Go into speccy you mongoloid, and post a screenshot
How can you even function in society if you can't diagnose what to upgrade from your machine or build it yourself?
Shut up nerd

if you build yourself you get way more performance for less $.
You're just making shit up.
At the time of purchase
$400 CPU
$100 Case
$150 RAM
$130 PSU
$150 MB
$115 SSD
$100 Windows license
Unobtanium GPU for $1100 on sketch websites
all said, prices have gone down the last 7 months
t. I did my research before purchase

I purchased the computer in December of 2021. None of you morons can read.
Sorry wrong anon
well you're not really wrong.. thank you for letting me know that I might just be somewhat moronic, will go talk to my doctor about it. cheers!
gpu prices are low enough where the just build it yourself rule is back in place. You're going to get pricegouged up the ass for worse components to save yourself an afternoon project. consumer IT and computer support are a scam.
New games are worthless just get a laptop with an emulator, deny your current existence and live in the past when things were good.
Thoughts?

literal "works on my machine" machine. paid 600 bucks about two years ago
How do you live with yourself knowing you can't build your own PC?
>Best Pre-built recommendations for a lazy moron like me?
Just get a Steam Deck lol
Based frick PC gays Steam Deck is where it's at
PS5 and an iPhone, forget about PCs

I have a prebuilt from ibuypower. It's alright for what it is, I kinda wish I got more storage and RAM though.
>16GB
>not enough ram
Frick off.
it really isn't
having a few tabs and programs open while playing already uses like 85% of ram
whats worse, fan cooling or water cooling pcs?
Fans are not as silent or good at cooling but fans do not spill liquid into your computer when something goes wrong and are cheap as frick and easy to maintain and clean and replace.
