Most weapons suck in Gen 1/2
Gen 3 truly fixed a lot of weapons
Even SnS, it didn't have the shield bash until Tri
Great Sword is usable because it's so simple but even so, the lack of any follow up moves after the charge attack make it feel a lot less smooth, and Monster Hunter 1 didn't even have the FRICKING CHARGE ATTACK
Is the backstep really that important?
I mean for me yes it's fun but most people went with Striker style in GU even though it removes it. It's still fun without it it's just more fun with it (Which is why I use Guild frick the extra art)
It's pretty kino. I switched to it from the hammer. Hammer got really stale after a while, I don't know what the frick they were thinking with that stupid fricking charging mechanic that adds nothing but tedium to the moveset.
Charge Blade is anime slop frickshit for ADHD zoomzooms. Same as IB and Longsword. Swax kinda is too, but since the players are vastly less incompetent than the LStards and fill the same tailcutting niche, they're cool in my book.
>until GU
You enjoy the taste of cardboard >GU
Trampoline enthusiast >Worldborne
Highest order kino enjoyer >Risebreak
Peak king of chads, bows to no one
The only Blademaster weapons I never really got into are Long Sword, Dual Blades, and Switch Axe. LS because my friend always mained it and I didn't want to jack his style, DB because it seems braindead, and SA because idk it looks complicated
yes, that tiny knife cant blow up a monster body parts, also that tiny shield cant hold back against monster charging directly
t. rare gunlance enjoyer
>run SnS >ask first wyverian for trivia >your weapon is rank 11 (out of 14)
I blame short range and shield doesn't act cool like CB shield does with out of the ass LOL GP animations.
This weapon from P3rd until World is perfection
FU version sucks and Rise version sucks
Luckily I can just play GU instead of ever touching Rise again for what they did to the Hunting Horn
aerial hunting horn is the most fun hh
i hope that if they continue to make more aerial effects then you can actually dodge attacks that have the model under yours instead of the hitbox being an invisible cylinder that is higher than the model, they did it in Gen so why didn't they do it for rise? doesnt make any sense
people call hammer unga bunga but i felt like a sperg button masher playing sns, main damage dealer attack animation even makes you look like a flailing spastic
>those complaints
I actually like that the games don't have that.
Beasts are usually very big and have different areas you can target so lock-on would only get in the way.
No health bar because it's more fun to see them limping or fall over instead.
Slow weapons raise the stakes and require that you actually commit to your hit instead of half-assing and rolling away at any point.
The only thing I would add is recommended weapon power for briefings so newbies won't be confused whether the monsters should take so long to kill or not (unless it's already in the later entries).
I'm so bored of mhr now at investigation level 220. I play sns, I want to switch to another weapon but it would take me so long to build up another gear set and make 7 different elemental weapons and level them all up.
yes i do actually, a good weapon that isn't designed for babies
Well that was a deranged response to a question
No discourse, just trash talking
You forgot you can use items without sheathing. I do too but it's still pretty great.
This shit is the only good weapon in MHF1.
I wanted to use a hammer but it's fricking unusable and only Lance is semi-usable otherwise.

SnS was added in MH4. It does not exist in gens 1-3.

Weird, cause I played it in FU and 3rd and had fun.
Yes. Bullets.

why settle for sword and shield when you can have sword and shield that turns into a giant chainsaw axe

Also

NPC post
Yes because playing it in World is a miserable experience.
the fact that it's the favorite weapon of cryptotrannies is very telling.

You like moves with broken motion values in gen 3
spin2win 2: electric ungaloo
you have extra money to buy another controller

I just beat raging brachydios for the first time. What a fun fricking fight. That's how a hard fight should be, frick rajang's bullshit.
the only answer

Kys secondary.
2nd recital mode is literally peak and Frontier HH is the undisputed best iteration.

The only non-Unga weapons in MH are GS, Lance, and the bowguns. but unga is good bunga is fun
I refuse to play as a lefty
>hack the strongest weapon in game
>every monster still needs 3 hours to die
I regret paying $30 for this garbage of a game
I only played this turd
>filtered by the most casualized entry to this franchise
i remember actually defeating tigrex in this mission because i thought its the objective

A spear.
Hunting Horn bros
How can I improve my gameplay? It's taking so fricking long to kill monsters.
Use a weapon that's not support weapon or use SOS and watch the others kill the monster while you suck their dicks
>HH
>support
If you don't know the optimal way to use a weapon you shouldn't be discussing it.

Why does the shield look like a tamagotchi device?
because you are as old as dinosaur shit and you want to go back there is no going back
Isn't switch axe "gameplay" just spamming the attack that swaps between the sword and the axe.
I feel like most weapons gameplay is just spamming your optimal move whenever you have the opening
No it very much isn't
Yeah, it's morph attack > one or two sword attacks > morph attack > morph attack > one or two sword attacks > etc
a good game
>Can bash
>Can slash
>Can kick monster ass
Do you really need anything else?
BRING BACK AA FLARES OR ILL KICK A PUPPY
