It runs at a pretty reliable 60fps on the ancient jaguar cpu in the xbone x so I'm not surprised it runs well on an actual computer.

when considering how fricked up halo 5 was. halo infinite did its best trying to destroy what halo 5 established

Original Halo codebase was written by boomer demigod devs. You would have to put in spectacular effort to funk up its underlying performance. Constantly needing to backport to the 360 also always kept 343 on their toes.
Likely Microsoft will end up using the codebase in some form for Windows 2030

What are you on about? Infinite has absolute trash optimization and looks like shit.
If I can run a smooth 60 at 1080p at max settings in Hitman 3 (which looks far better), I should not be struggling for a consistent 30fps at 1080p lowest settings in Infinite…

Naw frick that. Unity runs like shit. Doesnt even have a real fullscreen mode on PC. Have to use a third party hack to get that, to get proper VRR. Even with a 4090, I see dips below 100fps at 4k in some areas.

        Anonymous

        >Even with a 4090, I see dips below 100fps
considering PC doesn't even support over 60FPS, whatever hack you're using to unlock the framerate is causing the issue. git gud.

But the consoles generally have less graphics options available, they decide the graphics settings for the console.

it was developed to run on Xbox One, so really it should run on any 2013 CPU too

this is also a reason split screen was never delivered even though it was promised.
as always idiot MS execs pushing for cross gen games, on that ancient, underpowered console trash
