NTA but you're forgetting how competition used to work, games and platforms were often released at reasonable prices and steadily declined in price in response to competitors.

Not sure I agree. Exclusivity is the reason a lot of games are even able to exist nowadays due to funding/deals. Golf Story on Switch for example is exclusive because Nintendo was willing to fund the studio. Same story with Bayonetta 2 and 3. Either those games would never exist, or they would be Nintendo exclusive. Either way non-Nintendo players wouldn't be able to play the games, so exclusivity doesn't matter. In a lot of cases exclusives are also tied to unique features of the hardware as well.
