No thread? Did you grow bored of it already? Or just waiting for the new cup to arrive?
Anyway, F-zero 99 thread. How's the races been going?
No thread? Did you grow bored of it already? Or just waiting for the new cup to arrive?
Anyway, F-zero 99 thread. How's the races been going?
>play dozens of races in stingray
>manage a 13th place at best
>play my first race with fox
>would have had 4th place if I didn't frick up and blow up at the very end
>play my first race with goose
>get 10th place
Why did they make Stingray so bad?
Isn't Stingray basically unchanged? It just can't really cope with the newer mechanics.
All of the vehicles are unchanged, but the X/GX boost mechanic and boost costs made Golden Fox a top pick because it has max recovery, while Stingray suffers from mediocre recovery and the highest boost cost of all four.

STINGRAYYYYYYYY STINGRAY
DOODLE DOO DOO DOO DOO
I don't even vote before races anymore
wow who could imagine that another "old nintendo game...but 99 people at once" would fall off so quickly
wow who could imagine that you're a b***h?
seem a bit rustled
You're boring.
>another
What's the first one?
The Mario one.
Show me Mario 99, I'm sure it doesn't exist. Show me where Fzero 99 was announced with an expiration date like Mario 35 was (since I assume you morons are thinking of that).
>cant even remember the mario one
pottery
I can't win with the goose. I'm always getting good results, but never a 1st place
What's the monetization for this game? Or is it purely free (with sub)
>Or is it purely free (with sub)
Yes, if you have NSO you can just download it.
None because it is not a game, it's a market research tool. They are clearly doing this to drum up.interest for f-zero and seeing if people want this kind of gameplay.
If things go well we will probably see s new game with features from 99 like the Rival system and car customization.
Totally what happened with Mario 35
Mario 35 was a temporary anniversary game, fricking mong.
Purely free with the sub, no DLC yet and the only DLC for Tetris 99 and Pac-man 99 are single player modes/cosmetic skins respectively so I really doubt they'd sell tracks
Something needs to CHANGE about Mute City, I'm seeing results like this way too often
>21st place
>2/22 Stingray players
Be better, b***h
Be best gayget
Goes to show how oonga boonga Mute City is.
only way to win on mute city without being a braindead golden fox player is to get a skyway at the end that uses the shortcut, boost panels and the turn at the end. and even then, you probably won't.
Where do you go to the skyway specifically? I try to do it exactly here, it lets me get multiple boost pads usually and brings me after the final turn every time
there and the turn before it are both good. if you have a high position and can maintain it on that straightaway the one you have is probably better. but if you're really far behind you'll get more distance out of using it at the turn before the straightaway
Place the arrow right at the beginning of the gravel, it will still take you all the way past the last curve before the finish line. Also, add a second arrow right at the end of the healing pad, it takes you to the beginning of the straight where the ramp is. From experience those are the best Skypath start points in Mute City.
If you use the Skyway at the apex of the jump ramp it will carry you all the way here
if you stretch it just a bit more, hit L to get the first boost pad, you'll even get to the boost pad before the finish line
1000 years in Paint, these are the best spots to use Skypath on and how far they should take you.
>doing so poorly that the skyway goes that far
kinda sad tbh
I can use those skypaths while on the Top 15 and they will always extend that far, those are the best spots to use them.

>guaranteed fox kill strat
>but it's luck based
So it's not guaranteed?
Did I do it right
THARR SHE BLOWS
>Reserved boost usage
>Leveraging Skyway to overcome a mistake
>Clean elimination of a racer to keep your health topped up
Good fundamentals.
It is now impossible to win grand prix if you aren't an autistic golden fox player. Pack it up, boys. Compgays ruined it.
I won one yesterday with the Wild Goose and I didn't get more than 1 kill lol
A new day dawns and my bloodlust cannot be sated. The universe bids me to kill and I must heed the call.
I've gotten 3rd with the Goose, and 1st/2nd were also Geese. You just gotta keep racing. Also helps to watch people better than you.
you didn't get top 3 because of skill. you won because of pure luck. the golden foxgays with 99+ wins got screwed over by lucky bumpers somewhere in the grand prix.
I got 1st on Silence that GP. That's not luck.
You can git gud too anon. It is within your power.
I have several wins on silence. By the time silence comes round and the golden fox Black folk have mute city, big blue and death wind victories handed to them, your placing in silence does not matter
Maybe you should get better at playing.
I got 2nd Place yesterday with Wild Goose, and the 1st Place was also playing Wild Goose, just git gud. Fox drops out hard in the GP because a Goose with kills under its belt becomes a boosting monster and it has a better time at Silence.
I almost never see fox players win anything, much less a GP. What are you people smoking? Or are you not in the S+ ranks? Maybe this is a B phenomenon I'm not familiar with?
rarely see foxes win GPs or even MPs, goose seems to be the fav for that. foxes are broken when you only have one match to add kos to your meter
when queen cup drops, that'll be your chance just kidding the tryhards will have been practicing on snes fzero
I've seen more geese and falcons in the top 3 than foxes. Don't think I've ever seen a stingray though.
I have only ever won a single race and it was a team battle...
everyone’s too good now
How do you actually get kills without it just being dumb luck?
There's so much shit going on I never seen anyone smoking, just a dozen people glowing gold all the time. My only player KO was on the first day and I've never gotten another since, and even the bot KOs I get are by accident. It feels like I need a third eye to play this game.
>mute city
>do my usual strategy
>2nd place
>do the same thing again
>35th place
>do the same thing again
>3rd place
>do the dame thing again
>29th place
I've come to absolutely hate this track. It's the only one that feels like it involves a lot of luck.
Maybe your problem is you’re not adapting to the circumstances
I genuinely don't see how I could adapt outside of picking fox.
Adapt per race rather than blaming the machine or the track.
I can never get first place
>git gud
sure, do people know the best skyway paths yet?
Can someone post the link to the maps of the tracks with Skypaths?
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/switch/426398-f-zero-99/faqs
someone include booster pads and optimal spots, plox
>paths for tracks that aren't even in
does his uncle work for nintendo?
good question. didn't notice and now I wonder how this is possible.
Stingray is going to dominate fire field so hard it isn't funny
>that MASSIVE skyway cut at the bottom right
Holy SHIT
This was from yesterday's Grand Prix. Look at this cheating homosexual.
>as fast as a boosting stingray while smoking
>doesn't die on hit while smoking
>doesn't die from the walls either
>*teleports behind you*
>doesn't die from ramming me which should at least result in a double ko
Just looks like a shitty internet connection to me.
Also you fault for boosting that much as Stingray.
It was a sure kill and would have recovered all my life.
>Boosting gives everyone the same speed regardless if they're smoking
But the speed should have gone back faster than it did here. Especially when there's already black smoke.
>It was Fox
It's a Falcon.
And all this shit was far too convenient for him.
>as fast as a boosting stingray while smoking
Boosting gives everyone the same speed regardless if they're smoking
>doesn't die on hit while smoking
>doesn't die from the walls either
It was Fox and was already inside the healing pad, by the time it starts healing it already has enough health to survive
>doesn't die from ramming me which should at least result in a double ko
I never saw him spinning, most likely he had it saved, meanwhile your bar was still almost depleted when he hit you and your spin didn't recharge on time
You overcommited, wasted all of your energy trying to get a kill and paid for it. It happens.
>It was Fox
That's a Falcon, my dude
Blinking and smoking means they're out of energy. He was only smoking, which means he had still had at most 1/4 left in the tank, that's why he didn't get KO'd by your bump.
Keep the room well lit while browsing F-Zero threads.
Keep your distance from the monitor.
Thanks Captain! Oh, hey. You kind of look familiar. Have you gone to Bart's bar recently?
He must be a regular there. I see his cart in the neighborhood all the time.
Familiar? Of course. Everyone has heard of Captain Falcon.
I don't frequent Bart's bar much due to my busy lifestyle, but he's kind of my biggest fan. The Falcon House is in quite a convenient area so if you see the Blue Falcon passing nearby, you're in luck. If you're in the area, I recommend the cake there, but don't eat too much unless you want to grow fat.
Wow! An endorsement from Captain Falcon himself! Looks like it's time for a quick promotion!
Falcon House is your breakfast pit stop in Mute City. Coffee is only 280 credits, and breakfast is 480 credits. We're open most days* of the week, so stop on by!
For those who want racing tips or wish to share their general enthusiasm, you can also write us a letter using our virtual inbox using the power of e-Mail! Just send your correspondence to [email protected] and keep an eye out for your letter in a future classroom segment!
And to you, Captain Falcon, thank you so much! Your next cup is on me!
*Closed during F-Zero GP hours.
>literal pseudo science with no impact on eye health
Watch out for your table fan running too long so you don't choke to death!
It's advised because of the epileptic seizures caused by the Porygon episode of Pokemon. Kids were watching it right up to their TVs and so got the worst of it.
>enter a Mini-Prix
>Mew2king is there
>don't see him all race
>he crashed out on lap 1 of Mute City
Genuinely what is wrong with him
Is this what 20 years of Melee does to someone
It's what happens when you play for 24 hours straight, sleep for 2 hours and then play for an additional 36.
Are you happy, lucky bumper? Are you happy that you suck ass and obstructed me as a reward?
Yes.
>Gotten 3rd twice
>Gotten 4th and 5th a handful of times
Unless you are a demigod, no matter how good you are at the game it still feels like too much luck is needed to get 1st
Wait is this game actually developed by Nintendo? I always thought this was some shit fanmod--guess I'll give it a try
It was developed by Nintendo Software Technology, it's an American developer.
It's an official game developed by NST, the American branch of Nintendo. Comes included with NSO, so if you don't already have it you can see about a 7-day free trial. See you on the track!
I've got twice as many wins with Blue Falcon as I do with any other machine, but I can't fricking win with it on 99 Mode.
I remain convinced that the only reason they opted for a 99 modelled off of F-Zero is because they couldn't hit upon a way to make a functional race with Mario Kart and its famous item system. The skyway just feels very much like an MK sort of idea, rather than something you'd devise for F-Zero. Not that I'm complaining, I've been having a blast. I just don't see it as the harbinger for some kind of franchise resurgence; I reckon this only came about through sheer luck.
>Yes, yes, yes! I'm going to make it!
>Boost boost boost! YES!
>It was the 3rd lap.
>mfw
Don't worry, it's nothing a few avoidable crashes won't fix.
>Use last of the boost to cross the finish line thinking it was final lap
>Only the 3rd lap
I immediately died
It happened again! Fricking Sand Ocean, I get too into it.
I finally got my first GP win as goose. 3>1>1>19>9
Tips would be to save Skyway for laps 2 and 4 (except Death Wind and Silence) Start boosting midway through laps 3 and 4 to catch up. Monitor your golden pellets and move forward/backward if you gain too many pellets at one time. You'll know what I mean when you start practicing. Also, practice silence.
Also for the love of god, please don't miss boost pads on Death Wind, you will rank out.
>Also for the love of god, please don't miss boost pads on Death Wind, you will rank out.
Can confirm, I've choked on Death Wind and ranked out like 5 times now
I don't get the pellet tip. Do you mean, if you don't have enough sparks, you should actually slow down and let people pass you so you can get more sparks?
Yes. Lap 1 you're going to want to use 3 boost max to get towards the front of the pack. By the time you get to lap 2, you want to stop boosting and wait to use it during lap 3&4. Enough people are going to pass you so you'll be able to use the skyway at the end of lap 2. Usually, you want to stick to rank 15-20 during lap 3 so you're not gaining too much or too few sparks (and possibly miss out on boosting bc of early Skyway). As you get closer to using a skyway at the end of laps 3 and 4, start boosting so you can catch up with everyone else and use your skyway at the end of lap 4 to finish consistently in the top 10. The only thing stopping you from 1st is a good stingray or fox.
I placed third at the Mini Prix. Got 2nd at White Land I
mew2king just flew over my falcon
Did you Up-Air him
New blue falcon buff: you can jump out and raptor boost other player’s machines, killing them instantly in real life.
look at the guy in the skyway lol
>AAAAAAaaaaAAAAA
that's some bullshit
it sure is bullshit. you can bypass it with a super boost before you land, or going not quite as sharp to the left.
You’re frickin’ NICKED me ol’ beauty
Congratulations, Picobros! But your rivals are vowing to get their revenge on you! Do you have any words for them?
*unzips dollar store alien costume*
IT WAS ACTUALLY ME, CAPTAIN FALCON. ALL ALONG!
All of my detractors will die by my own hands!
Are you still alive?
>grand prix
>mute shitty 1
>doing really well for my standards
>get ranked out because I got bumped like 500 feet into a pile of gravel
Frick this game.
GUESS WHO HAD A TOP 10 FINISH AT GP MUTE CITY AND THEN A LUCKY BUMPER KNOCKED HIM INTO A WALL ON THE FINAL TURN AND WASTED THREE TICKETS
Do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down?
And people shit on this one why?
No one does, GX is an amazing game, it's GXgays being obnoxious idiots who think only that game matters, they're the Meleegays of F-Zero.
It is the damnedest thing. Gamecube has tons of great games with the worst fanbases.
I don't actively shit on it I just don't like it compared to F-Zero X. The controls and dense of speed was just better in X imo
lol nice dodging nerd
>Fox pisses and shits itself right before the finish line
This brings a smile to my face
>AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-
>his last moments
Fox are the orange cats of the game
I've only been playing 2 days now exclusively with the fox and the best I've gotten is 3rd place. Should I try the goose? How much different is it?
Goose is the complete opposite playstyle.
>one boost per lap until the final
>wants to stay ~20 cars back to make sure you have skyway right before the finish
>murder death kill
Might give it a try just for something different. The only KOs I ever get though are by complete accident
For GP purposes, grey bumpers are great fodder if you can target them. They don't fully refill your boost like a player does, but it gives you a permanent increase for the rest of the GP. A good Goose can enter death wind/silence with an absurdly long boost meter and run away with easy wins.
Goose is really dependent on getting KOs to consistently place above, like, 4th or 5th place. Play for Skyway, look for KOs on pilots or bumpers, and be smart with your boosts until lap 4.
They're polar opposites in terms of how you play them. While Fox wants to frontrun as much as possible, Goose benefits from staying around other enemies taking advantage of its superior stability and resistance to attempt to steal KOs since it has the lowest boost cost of all vehicles, so one single kill gives it so much gas that it can boost through the entire lap, but you also have to be aware of its very low recovery, so you have to be smart with your boosting. This becomes less of a problem on harder maps where boosting is not as common.
Join the Stingrays, brother.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
I HAVE ENTERED KNIGHT LEAGUE 45 TIMES I NEED THIS FRICKING ONE WIN
GP Death Wind is such a b***h because only one frickup is all it takes to completely squander the whole thing
Death Wind filters yet another poor soul.
Not him but Death Wind filters me hard at the very beginning when there are no boosts.
good thing you start with boost power. I open with 2 boosts.
>you start with boost power
you know, you can boost from lap 1.
>hit the booster before the start line (absolutely necessary)
>boost when it expires into the gravel on the right side
>boost again because it wont last you through the gravel
The problem is the funnel before you hit the lap marker. Stingray has the worst acceleration and there are no boost pads in the 40 player version of the Death Wind funnel, so they'll be at the back of the pack automatically. You can boost when you hit the starting line, but so can everybody with a sizeable lead in front of you. It's an uphill battle to even survive that map in a GP.
In the original games you had to do one lap before you got boost power iirc.
How is death wind the filter? My races with falcon in GP did get me my first and only rank out there but that’s just because I missed a boost before the finish into lap 4 and had a skyway I was saving before I realized “oh wait I’m gonna rank out” and it was too late. Every other vehicle dominates it and even falcon isn’t too bad and possible to get a top 5 with. I honestly think Mute City and Big Blue are worse since your entire GP depends on that foundation.
Because there's only 20 slots so people that suck at racing perfect get filtered. It kills 50% of the lobby each time.
>No thread? Did you grow bored of it already?
The person who made the previous thread did not write F-Zero anywhere in the op so I too thought we died after the synced GP tournament.
>doing well in death wind during gp
>hit all the boost panels
>boost when appropriate
>still rank out
I just don't know anymore.
Captain falcon will never be ballin.
Sup BEACHES
Correct me if I'm wrong. The optimal path for tickets if your goal is the GP skin is to do pro tracks when they're there, regular F99 when not, and ignore the mini prix, correct?
If you care about leaderboard points, especially for custom unlocks, Mini Prix is important too.
the optimal path for tickets is to do one position better each race until you get a 1st since you get a bonus for new best rank.
What's the best car for someone always behind the pack and grinding for skypath orbs ?
Goose by far
Goose
The gameplan for Goose is exactly that.
Goose ia best in the 15-30 ranks bouncing on frickers for constant skypaths and kills
Goose, not even close.
Fox: super autist tryhard that memorized perfect line and perfect boosts, does not touch bumpers under any circumstance.
Stingray: sweaty SNES speedrunner that wants the highest top speed AND best cornering in the game, can still handle bumpers but doesn't want to risk certain death on a single frick up either
Goose: mild sweat, will pick the most consistent car that works in any circumstance and also excels in GPS with early bumper KOs
Falcon: either clueless or a masochist, some people pick it anyway despite it being a poor man's Fox that has the cornering of Stingray with none of the other benefits (top speed).
Captain Falcon is the coolest.
Be a basic b***h like the rest and go with the Goose.
>what's the best car for a Goose player?
I'll give you 3 guesses.
If you don't put F-Zero 99 in the OP subject or text, we are not going to find it
At least put the word "zero" in there please.

My Blue Falcon is now a Blood Hawk.
F-Zero 99 is not a battle royale. If you want to frick over the guy in first place, the only thing you can do is drive better. You can't just ram into them and kill them guaranteed; they have to be moronic as well for that to work. If they're not moronic, it won't kill them.
Hey guys, so I'm thinking Saturday for the next Ganker-zero cup.
No time yet. At work right now so slowly working on Google doc.
BUM

So new tracks this week?
Yup.
Nice
I just won two of my last three matches, one on Port and another on Big Blue
Hit S rank too
If I could win one GP I'd be happy with this
I've literally started dodging any fricking game where I see the Golden Fox troony in.
I already got all the skins
What do I do?
You can't just find joy on racing for the sake of racing?
Now? Now you can race however you want.
This and the other 99 type games are literally why i want a switch. Everything else can be emulated or it's shit.
How the frick do I win on Mute City
Goruden Foxu
Everyone talks about the White Land II jump, but the real chaos will be in the Mute City III corridor and minefield. Thank heavens the good lord made me a Goose man.
Goosechads have never and will never touch disgusting mute city sand traps or mines. All other plebs can eat our scraps.
>go in mini gp as falcon
>play very nicely, end up in top 3 for the final race with 2 kos
>port town II, be first for most of the race
>no astral skyway because i'm in front
>end up being 12 because people were flying above you
the astral skyway should be disabled on lap 4. i understand its purpose but the fact that people can just cheat their way to victory is stupid
That is a very good point, but I think that means you just need to learn to master the skyway in addition to the rest.
Ok bros I switched to Goose and I got 3 top 10. The win is coming SOON
Was at work when I saw the message but I got a 1:43:92 on Mute with Falcon for that one guy grinding it on practice/time trial, and yes i'm mildly confident in saying Falcon cannot beat a halfway competent Fox, let alone a good one. I'm at 1:41:77 with Golden Fox, and I can't see how I can beat that with Falcon.
NOOOOOOOOOOO
Grinding when I get home.
It took me a little bit, if that reassures you.
But yeah i'm not seeing how i'm beating my Golden Fox time any day.
You can't, I was only trying to lower my Falcon time and was kinda pissed itnwas higher than my Fox which I ran on one attempt.
Falconchad beats carried fox shitter, you love to see it
test
did it work?
Does anyone already win 1 GP with Falcon ?
Yes, many people.
Didn't even realize I was playing with Ganker last night. Not my best race on Silence but I'm happy with 9th.
>taking a photo of a game on a system that has a dedicated screenshot button
It’s way faster to take a photo and phone post than go through whatever rube Goldberg machine gets your switch pictures onto your PC/phone to post
It's so fricking inconvenient. You have to open your camera, scan a qr code, click the confirm button that opens your settings, go back into your camera and scan another qr code that opens a web browser, then save your video. And you have to do this every single time with every video you want to save.
You know you can take the SD card out of your Switch and just pop it on your PC, right?
How quickly can you do that vs take a photo with your phone and post immediately? Without leaving the sofa? All so some homosexual doesn’t b***h about the quality of your picture? I have chores man and reaponaibilities man, I can’t frick about.
Twitter post is faster with a higher quality result image.
I know how to balance golden fox. Make recharge speeds universal.
No, he just needs a small nerf. The other three cars are well-balanced against each other.
The big reason why GF is so busted is BECAUSE of its recharge speed. The only way to nerf it is to make recharge speeds universal or nerf only his.
Yes, nerf his. It should be only half a point above Falcon's.
Do you guys think we will ever get new ships?
I'd prefer a slight rebalance and no new ships
I don't think Nintendo are willing to put in the effort to redesign any of the X or GX machines in the original SNES style, which basically means the only candidates are the machines from the two Japan-only SNES sequels. And all four of those cars would be dreadful additions since they're basically better versions of the original four, whilst also being much uglier. Given the risk, I'd rather ask for all the courses from the other 2D games instead just to have more places to race. Throw in some OSTs and we're gold.
>They actually named it after the technology hating psycho that killer dozens
Based.
I think it's just a very Japanese sort of name. The others are called "Blue Thunder", "Fire Scorpion" and "Green Amazone". Not amazon; "Amazone".
When you're ahead in first place, you're in the amazone
>I don't think Nintendo are willing to put in the effort to redesign any of the X or GX machines in the original SNES style
Don't tell this guy about GP Legend.
That was back when Nintendo was desperately trying to make F-Zero a big series.
GP Legend's machines weren't in the SNES style. They were more in-keeping with the X and GX style, rather than the original's more bulbous machines. It'd be a bit weird to just port them across with no changes.
>no Wild Goose
It was underneath, along with Wonder Wasp. I just didn't feel like moving the capture.
Okay I never played X because I didn't have a N64 growing up
Why does the Twin Noritta have to wienerpits, does it have two pilots or something
Isn't that a bit unwieldy
>Why does the Twin Noritta have to wienerpits, does it have two pilots or something
The best guys. Always play Twin Noritta whenever I'm tryharding in GX.
There is such a thing as Too-Low-Hanging-Fruit trolling.
It has two wienerpits because the pilots - Gomar and Shioh - come from a race of aliens that are basically born as a pair and do everything together. When they get married they split off to form a new pair with their spouse, so they want to race together in F-Zero while they still can. They had to petition the F-Zero committee to allow them to race, since more than one pilot was against the rules.
These two actually give one of the cuter interviews in GX.
>Weird pinocchio aliens
>Still ripped as hell
Jesus Christ, GX.
You need to be in peak physical condition in order to pilot a F-Zero machine. No matter what the body shape, every single pilot in the franchise is fricking jacked, a super athlete, magically/cybernetically enhanced or some mix of the three.
The only exception that comes to mind is PJ, but he's makes up for it by being goddamn insane.
Don Genie, Draq, and Dai/San/Gen are all fat though. Daigoroh also doesn't have much physique but makes up for it with pure gigachad energy.
Don Genie is probably cheating. Dai San Gen are actually acrobats and very athletic. Draq makes up for it with F-Zero enthusiasm and a love for racing.
>probably cheating
>"probably"
"BOOST: B"
Dai-Goroh really shouldn't be behind the wheel of an F-Zero racer.
>Draq
Have you seen the arms on that guy?
Draq DOES comment in his GX interview that he needs to go on a diet, since he finds it difficult getting in and out of his machine. I guess because it wasn't built for him, whereas Don Genie probably had his p2w Fat Shark made to his exact dimensions.
You don't have the guts.
iirc the fat Shark is the only machine in GX that has a different driver's seat, a big recliner with arm rests instead of the usual pilot seat (not counting Spade's hidden wienerpit or QQQ)
Someone saw Empire Strikes Back.
Thought these were shoes
GP Legend is just weird as hell
Name another Nintendo game that tells you to watch Fox Box on the cartridge box, because I certainly don't know of one
Maybe the Kirby's Adventure remake maybe since that was a technical tie in as well.
Nightmare in dreamland might have, they even had fox box e-reader cards made for a promotional stunt
What the frick is Fox Box?
There was an F-Zero anime dubbed by 4kids that aired on Fox. FoxBox was the name of the timeslot for their kids shows at the time.
I just looked at my box, it doesn't mention that. Must have been a USA only thing, European box doesn't feature the anime art style at all.
American box for comparison.
Fox is an American TV station so it would be strange for them to advertise it outside America.
We had Fox, Fox Kids and Jetix here in the UK. But we didn't have Foxbox as far as I remember.
FoxBox was just what they renamed Fox Kids in the early 2000s, it was a programming block on Fox not its own channel.
Defunct 4Kids successor to the Fox Kids programming block designed to compete with Toonami. It turned into Jetix, which is also dead.
They aired like 15 episodes and just stopped
Poor ratings. The dub VA of Captain Falcon attests that they did record all 51 episodes though, so there's an English version of the Falcon Punch scene just sat on a hard drive somewhere.
Sucks that we'll likely never see them. The Safari Zone and Porygon episodes of Pokémon were dubbed too but didn't get permission to air. At least they're not completely lost like the Beyblade OST that were destroyed in a studio fire.
They sure did. I remember watching the series starting at like episode 12 or something of the sort.
The funniest part is that the GP Legend game has pretty much nothing to do with the show outside of new characters and designs. No idea what they were thinking.
The game was made while the show was in development, so the staff had no real clue as to the plot of the show and just did their own thing. I think it came out around episode three of the anime.
the screen that shows machines has room for like 20 of them on it, there's a bunch of ? placeholder spots for more machines so it's likely they are going to add more.
I'll be fine either way. I just really like the four-car ecosystem; it feels cosy.
Did someone really made this on the first 2 weeks of F-zero 99?
Reverse image search has it as at least eight years old.
*make

"Did someone really make this within the first two weeks of F-Zero 99?"
Pretty sure it can be done in less than a week, especially if the artist know what he's doing and not getting addicted to F-Zero 99
Like I did postponing my Black Shadow fanart.
I’ve been through many F-Zero threads and I don’t know why but I just find this series mainly about race cars extremely funny, I don’t know what it is, the hilarious WEBMs, People making fun of each other on here or the fact that F-Zero finally fricking got something after practically 20 years of nothing AND THAT FRICKING SOMETHING IS INSANELY ADDICTING AND POPULAR, I don’t understand why people compare it to Federation Force because at its core, F-Zero 99 is still F-Zero
F-Zero 99 feels like the original SNES game reaching its true potential.
I feel like it's the entire series reaching its true potential. There's only so much you can do with gameplay that's just about going fast. Expanding on the combat and survival aspects would've been the next logical step if it didn't take them 20 years to think of it.
It’s almost more f-zero than any one before it because you can actually play with other people for once.
>Whilst also being much uglier
Shut up you’re ugly
>Bullshit F-Zero
Maybe the BS machines should they implement BS cups at some point?
They can’t do that! That’s BullShit!
>hurr durr le racing game where you can't control your character because there are too many other players on the track
played 1 race and uninstalled this trash
So you didn't get past the tutorial?
skill issue
yeah, this game is too hard for you sissy. better go away and never look back. let us men handle the fight
>admitting to giving up at the first sign of adversity
Back to Ubislop with you
Have you tried not running into the other drivers? Or more importantly have you tried not being a little b***h?
>he got filtered by the CPUs
I'm going to kill myself
I actively played this game for about eight hours without a GP win, I think I did seven Knight Cup attempts since early last night
I pray that the next track update has a balance patch too
8 hours without a gp win on a weekday where there isn't a gp every 20 minutes? doesn't seem like you played that much.
That's eight hours of play spread across like eighteen hours, so I did more than just four Knight Cup attempts
I have one win out of 60 GPs. That's life.
>had a dream someone else won knight cup with stingray on my switch account
I need to stop
They're never gonna add new vehicles to this, but I would like them to make the Generic model playable. Maybe they can make it a 'challenge' selection, poor stats but increase the rewards should you have any success with it.
>alright let's do a mini prix
>65
>60
>crash out
I am complete garbage
Practice some more.
The only way to improve is to keep at it and try to identify your shortcomings along the way.
You can do it anon.
IT FINALLY HAPPENED
I AM FREE
Congrats, anon!
Make sure you get wins in the other cups so you have 1 1 1 1 on your record sheet.
>Gold Falcon
I am jelly
3 falcons on podium in a gp??
we can't stop winning falcon chads
In a race, anything can happen. But it's racers who make it happen.
WAY TO GO!! A Falcon triple-threat!
>3 falcons
IMPOSSIBLE! THESE SHIT THREADS TOLD ME FOX WAS BROKEN! ONLY FOX WINS!
Single races are going to heavily lean in favor of the machine the track was built for. Fox wins 99 mode the most since Mute City almost always wins the vote and Fox is the best at Mute City. The game was clearly balanced around the GP format where you'll see a lot more diversity in the top runners at the end. Also it's Ganker we're talking about so of course we're gonna be shitters.
t. carried fox shitter
it's okay if you play the baby mode machine but don't act like a falconchad's hard earned victory means you aren't terrible and just abusing an overpowered machine
>he thinks I play fox
You're such a desperate shit racer, holy frick. Nah, I play Falcon and Goose. You just make excuses for losing endlessly. Git gud.
yeah okay, definitely not doctor stewart
Hmm, looks serious. Mr Falcon, prep for surgery. It’s an anal fissure.
Bro is this assblasted about losing to shit machines.
I recognize you from a couple of my GPs. Good job
I just started this today, I think I do decently enough, can consistently nab top 25 or so as Goose, but what's the best way to do even better? I'd assume the strategy with Goose is to be more offensive since it has so much HP, but I usually don't see opportunities to kill other players.
If you aren't seeing smoking players, you can bully grey bumpers, too.
>Golden Fox
>Wild Goose
I don't care what anyone says, Stingray is comfy.
>consistently place top 10, but it never satisfies unless it's first place
>can't pull a win against people who have played SNES for more than a decade
>time trials don't adequately prepare you for bumpers or other players ahead of you making mistakes and incidentally slamming into you in the process
>going for any of the precise skips and aggressive corners leaves you wide open to get fricked by anyone making a mistake ahead of you
>Lucky Bumpers
>Can't opt out of playing a Lucky Bumper automatically
>Frontrunning completely disengages with KO fishing
>getting absorbed into the pack of other players quickly becomes a crabs in a bucket scenario
>can't escape the pack without wasting boost or getting a Skyway
playing this game just makes me hungrier for a real F Zero, or at least an alternate offline mode where I can bully CPUs and rack up 5+ KOs a track. Also brings out the worst of my perfectionism. It's like a mosquito bite I can't help but scratch even when I'm not enjoying it anymore.
and my favorite vehicle to control is Blue Falcon which is easily the worst of the four in the current tracks so that doesn't help
That's why I try not to take things too seriously and play for fun. If I ever get a 1st place it'll be because of dumb luck.
yeah I can't help it, even if it's stupid to fret over it because everyone in the match is going to have a placement and I ought to be happy just consistently surviving all the way to Silence.
I liked doing time trials though, only a couple seconds behind WR in some tracks that dumpster me in actual play like that damn White Land 1 cut where you either get half a second of advantage or you get shoved into the dirt. It'd be a lot of fun to get decent times with bumpers spawning in, or doing a GP against CPUs and getting to Silence with a ridiculous energy gauge like
this guy
>>Can't opt out of playing a Lucky Bumper automatically
You can always press + to detonate immediately.
Don't even want the damn thing to pop up, just get me in the next race faster.
Me, a monster?
No, I am a Goose
Can...can it get even bigger?
This was with 9 KOs on a mini grand prix. I think it was about 5 real cards and 4 small ones.
I did not get any more as I decided to say "frick it" and just boost like a mad man through the whole thing for the fun of it. I didn't win the race but I boosted more then anyone.

i miss when giant bomb was good and fun

if that Fox ahead of you desynced even a tiny bit more you'd have gotten trash compacted, dang
Nice corners on the slip zones
Magnifique mon ami.
That is the first time I've seen the gold bumper in first, last place was really behind huh
Yeah, he lapped like 3 players after the jump.
on another White Land race i managed to pass like 5 other people as i finished., it's always funny when that happens. i found the video but it takes a while to get on my phone, then my pc, then into a webm, so i'm posting this while it happens.
there it is, i don't play as well in this
Nah that’s bullshit, the disqualification machine should’ve moved you back for doing that jump skip like it did for this anon here
sorry, i landed .1% closer to the turn than that other anon, therefore i deserve to keep playing.
Just don't go as far to the left, you can still cut off a massive amount just don't get too greedy.
>player named Dad, Mommy, Timmy or Samantha

Fricking embarrassing.
>Rival named #girlpower

My favorites are names like X's Wife/Girlfriend. Someone who doesn't even care enough to think of their own username.
>tfw KO'd by Daddy
Two of the most striking player encounters i've had is seeing both players called Meteos and Tetris close together on a race, and another was a KO a player named Cecil got on another one named Golbez.
Really makes you think.
You are using rocket start to frick over the people next to you and get a speed boost, right?
Too inconsistent, not worth it if you actually want to win or are next to laggers.
>Golden fox Black person next to me
Oh yeah of course I am. Enjoy expending all of your boosting to make it past all the pico Black folk now 🙂
No, I just get a regular boost at the start and frick over the people next to me by dodging that dumb bullshit and not giving them a bump.
EVEN SPEEDRUNNERS DO THAT TOO
Anyone miss the comfy old AGDQ Videos? I do too
?si=xaLxf6_d4lqcweXq
WHY THE FRICK CAN'T I WIN
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG
WHAT MACHINE DO I PICK
Goose until you figure out how to play the game, then swap to Stingray or Fox or stay Goose since he's consistent with reasonable grip.
but I want to play falcon
all the other cars suck
Snagged a win earlier
Sting King!
How do I win a 99 race with a GOOSE ?
KILL, BOOST, THEN KILL AGAIN FOR THE FUN OF IT
Break before the last turn on Mute City and boost into the blinking guys. You won't get 1st, but you'll be the real winner.
finally cracking this game open after putting it off for so long. what should i expect? any tips? ive played the frick out of x / gx but never gave much attention to the original
Don't be discouraged if you place badly a lot, you're up against about 100 players so it's only natural. It uses the boosting mechanics of GX rather than how the SNES game actually worked, so you should be familiar with it. Just don't overextend and you should be fine.
give me one reason to not use blue falcon

I'll return for the Queen cup. 4 stages in normal rotation is just too few
I don't understand how I'm supposed to win a grand prix as Stingray. It fricking sucks at mute city, you'll be lucky to get top 30. Which makes the rest of it an uphill battle.
Don't boost on the offroad section
People will bump you back to your top speed
With that precious boost stored, you'll do so much better.
Bullshit. Taking the long way just means you get left in the dust and have to play catch up again. The shortcut is the only viable option. Just make sure you spin as you go through it.
You misread my words
I said don't boost, I didn't say don't take it.
Take the path, and let yourself be bumped.
My consistency has gone up tremendously since applying that strat.
t.S5 99+ wins
It's worked for me so far
>It's worked for me so far
It works like 50% of the time for me and that's not enough.
Besides, it's not like there's a better place to use a boost on any of the maps with boost-worthy offroad areas.
No you aren't.
I use the boost to keep up in the pack precisely to ensure that strat works and also to ensure 2 skyways. That's my gameplan for Stingray Mute, and since applying it I don't think i've had a bad race with it
I've tried that, it rarely works. Offroad sections are wide enough that most will just go right around you.
I also skip the jump. You’re faster on the ground supposedly.
You actually accelerate more while in the air, I believe.
>You’re faster on the ground supposedly.
Jumping always accelerates you if you're not already at 478 KMH. It also replenishes your spin. There's no reason to not go on it. That being said, you have a 478 speed cap while you're in the air, so if you boost during a jump you're wasting the boost.
mute city doesn't matter when you'll just get ranked out on death wind because there is literally no way to go faster on that track
who the frick thought it was a good idea to put death wind as the fourth grand prix track
one missed booster and you literally just lose with no way to recover
>one missed booster and you literally just lose with no way to recover
laughs in golden fox
It's designed to be a winnowing. Literally half of the racers are culled, so it's tough to stay alive.
You say this every thread. I am a garbage racer and miss boosts all the time and still qualify. Your lines must suck or youre using bad boost spots or something. Practice instead of complaining.
try getting out of C rank
>lol ur bad
Black person you're the one getting filtered by wind oval
it is purely luck based
sometimes when you try to hit the boost it happens to be covered by 2 spinning gooses or whatever
if this happens you have no way to catch back up to everyone who did hit the boost, because there are no skyway shortcuts
Is it that hard to admit you might need to practice and improve?
>just like get better lol!
i don't see you offering any solutions to the problem
almost like you don't know what you're talking about
that does nothing if other people are also spinning, you can still get bumped. or you can get bumped immediately before you spin
Literally go in practice mode. Learn the course better. Play regular 99 mode. Play until you understand it better. Improvement is persistence, education, and practice. Put hover to the pavement.
there is nothing to learn about a fricking oval
again you are ignoring the problem i am stating to you
stop talking out of your ass
Apparently some people have no problems with the oval, so maybe you don't know everything? If you're hitting gravel, missing the boosters, boosting in the wrong spots, or sucking ass at avoiding other cars, then maybe you need to work on those things to get to Silence?
i am done engaging with you, you pretend to know what you're talking about while dodging the subject matter entirely
i accept your concession
Skill issue. Complain more. Surely blaming others will get you that W one day.
Soooore loser
Sting King here. I boost through the gravel and if I miss one arrow I’m ranking out. Unless I get a KO or have a bigger tank because of one previous it’s going to take a lot of luck to do well. Skyway isn’t much help either.
>there is nothing to learn about a fricking oval
Yes there is. Knowing the best line and when to boost on each track makes a huge difference. The timing of when you skyway is huge too, it'll last longer if you end it on a corner. Only one track is straight oval and it still has those boost panels and wind push to contend with. Spin when it's crowded around them and save your boosts for when you're in danger of ranking out of the GP.
>there is nothing to learn about a fricking oval!!!
>Loses at the oval
>there is nothing to learn about a fricking oval
Death Wind is the Knight Cup filter for a good reason, it's not just about driving on an oval, but about doing it as optimally as possible while 39 other players are trying to do the same and doing their hardest to survive in order to reach the final stage. If you know you need to hit the boost panels, save your spin attacks so you don't get bumped away; if the wind is causing you trouble, drive at an angle so you can strafe more easily and avoid the gravel; there's only one good Skypath point and it's between the finish line and the first gravel spot so use it optimally; save your boosts for the gravel patches if you're unable to dodge them and maintain your energy for the last lap as everyone will be rushing to get into the Top 20.
Stop understimating the oval.
You're right, theres not much to learn about an oval.
What you DO need to learn is how to control your machine, when and where to boost/Skyway, and how to manage your spins. And it sounds like it's going to be a long, rough journey for you.
Idk I've never had an issue hitting the boosts as long as I had a spin in reserve. Sounds like a skill issue.
Save your spins for the boost pads so you don't get bumped off.
I have raced more than 200 times on Death Wind and never once ranked out. The only time I have been in danger of ranking out was when I was trying to get the badge for it. Literally get better at the course.
I'm A+ and I have slow reflexes. It's not hard. I don't even play a ton.
There's no matchmaking. All ranks play in the same lobby.
It's very deceptive. Actually, it's worse on the original SNES because you never got the wind lines indicating what direction you'll be pushed into and there aren't 98 other racers beating the pulp out of each other giving you a shot to catch up.
As for the '99' version, Death Wind offers two extra-long straightaways giving you the chance to use a boost should you actually miss a booster, on top of the one time you really should, which is during the start with the roughs going in an alternating pattern. Also, are you using the L and R buttons to slip and slide, because I think you can reduce how far to the side you are pushed if you slip in the opposite direction of the wind, kind of like how you can resist the magnets in Port Town.
Death Wind is also one of the most skyway friendly courses since there are no key points to activate it, meaning you can trigger the Super Boost as soon as you acquire it, giving you the ability to leapfrog back into the front of the pack.
Bros, no matter how helpful just one last boost seems, always think twice.
His mistake was wasting the spin on the corner before his final boost. If he saved it he would have been fine.
>Did all Time Trial unlocks
>Got over 40 1st places
>Made it to rank S
>Won Knight cup
>Won Mini GP
>Got all skins with Fox
There isn't anything else to do, mute city / big blue gets old after so many times
Wait for the new tracks to drop. It sounds like you've earned a breather.
I hope this eventually gets a track maker like in Climax on the GBA. A Mario Maker-style community coming up with new ways to race would be a dream come true.
Well, that and a party system.
>place 1st on 3 of the first 4 tracks in GP with Falcon
>ahead by a good margin, just need to place top 10 on silence
>take first jump
>hold down on d-pad to get a little air
>shit fricking trash pro controller d-pad also reads it as left
>fly off out of bounds while in a massive lead
I hate this game. I hate this controller. I hate this company. I hate myself.
skill issue
>shit fricking trash pro controller d-pad also reads it as left
Don't scare me like that, is the D-Pad in the Switch Pro controller that bad? Joy-Con user here.
It is pretty bad about it. You have to open it up and use some tape to make the d-pad less over-sensitive. I did forever ago, and am doing it again now because if I don't do something that requires me to calm down I'm going to break something over a game for the first time since I was a small child.
Use stick instead
Mew2King should stick to Melee. I've beaten him like three times for first.
He's sleep deprived. Dude needs to stop boosting every minute and strafe more around bunpers.
I really am tempted to change my name to HallwyBeep to let others know I’m from the ‘Chan.
>HallwyBeep
Qrd?
I too let others know I am from the 4chins with the name "KateHikes"
>use goose constantly, consistent top 10s
>swap to falcon, feels far better to drive overall, enjoy it far more
>consistently dip out of top spots to around 30th
anything particular about this ship I might be missing? always the tail end of a race where I flounder with this thing
Imagine getting filtered by the wind oval because you can't turn your camera 15 degrees.
>Team battle on Death Wind
>1st and 2nd for the entire race are me and a team member as a duo of Foxes
>3rd is an enemy Goose trying to harass us literally the entire time
This is to shitters like a cross is to a vampire.
LIVE IN FEAR OF THE OVAL.
AAAAIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>join grand prix at the last second to try and get a lobby with less human players since it's comfier that way
>hopelessly outmatched by THREE (3) separate 99+ win players
>play it out anyway
This game could use a spectator mode
It does, you just have to die first
But then I'm throwing matches that someone else could've been participating in.
Reminder not to drive over the corpses of your enemies. Those burnout patches act like gravel.
when's queen cup?
Hopefully this week. 7 courses, 3 of which are limited time only is a joke.
>3 of which are limited time only is a joke
Which ones, again? Only Silence is meaningfully limited.
You have to wait for pro tracks to open up to get white land or port town.
Goddamn I just can't take this song off my head
>going for a win with every cart for the badge
>save falcon for last
oh boy, I can already tell this is gonna take a while
Falcon is the most consistent machine for placing top 25 but miserable to win with. I'm doing Falcon first and getting a generic 1st place victory wasn't that big of a deal but GP feels like a complete crapshoot. Fox/Stingray completely outclass it in terms of aggressive play and once they get ahead you're not going to see them again unless they choke, but Goose also performs better in the thick of things, so it's an uphill battle any way you slice it. It's immensely frustrating because you can't afford to make a single mistake AND you have to pray your competitors DO make mistakes.
I feel the opposite. Once i'm in a groove I can get consistent Top 10 with Blue Falcon but yeah i'm probably not winning unless the Foxes left by Death Wind are all frauds, or Silence if the room is extremely incompetent since I don't actually play Silence fair, I bag that track for a skyway.
yeah, consistent high placement, but actually landing the 1st place win is what's so much more daunting
Mr. Stingray where are you going?
Oof
Jesus Christ what a disgusting KO, executed to perfection. This is pretty much what it takes to kill a Fox and that is not an easy task. Maybe Falcon can do it?
There's like a 70% chance his controller is smashed now
Am I crazy or is stringray affected more by bumps than even Fox.
Feels like whenever I try to play it if I'm stuck in the pack I can randomly get shot out into a wall but playing Fox and Falcon I never have this issue. Could just be bad luck or Fox's frequent boosting leading to less bump issues.
Crazy. Weight is directly correlated with durability.
I've started playing Ray a LOT and yeah I've been noticing it, I think I saw some anon last thread mentioning something about speed?
>Who you played in X/GX
>Who you play the most in 99

For me, it's Dark Schneider in GX (despite it not being that great), and Fire Stingray in 99.
>Who you played in X/GX

>Who you play the most in 99
My turtle homie
Completely opposing playstyles but kills are a lot more valuable in 99 than the other games so I lean toward this playstyle
>X

GX
My man Deathborn
>99
Blue falcon/Wild goose
>Who you played in X
Super Piranha and Deep Claw
>Who you played in GX
Super Piranha until I want to stop hurting myself, then I switch over to Astro Robin.
>Who you play the most in 99
I switch between Wild Goose and Fire Stingray.
I just think the Super Piranha looks awesome and I can't really deal with any machines that have a low grip rating. Having the machine piloted by a qt like Kate is a nice bonus too.
>F-Zero is finally getting the attention it deserves
It most likely helps that the hoe-girlve girls are getting into it
I think being a free game has more of an impact than vtubers playing it
Who's playing it?
>it's simply a matter of, sometimes you get bad luck and miss a boost, which means you lose
I suppose that is a real problem when dealing with a flat 20-racer cut-off point in a Stingray.
It's an unfortunate drawback to using the original SNES order of Grand Prix courses. Since there were only four racers that mattered and none of them were intentionally rough with you, it didn't play out like the filter from hell this one is. It might've benefited from a move to, say the 3rd course in the order.
yeah it's not a problem in the mini prix because the cutoff isn't an issue
but in the grand, sometimes you just get fricked with nothing you can do about it
Honestly, i like it.
I feel like Death Wind is usually a pretty boring track, but having it be this big elimination round before the finale makes it feel much more tense, giving its name justice.
>S3 without a single GP win
>Every single race I lose to 3/4 of my rivals in a top 10 finish
Why should I keep going
Dark Blue Golden Fox makes me pretend I am actually playing Death Anchor.
>racing against Lunaaire and three other 99+ players
>get 70th place after a massive frick up
>I beat three of my rivals because three fricking died
lol
lmao
enjoy your 5 gorillion rank points
and for those of you still subscribing to the "bro you just have to spin on the boosters!!!" argument
okay moron, how about this part where there's two boosters in a row and your first spin will still be on cooldown
strafe
yes let me just look into the future and know what random direction the crowd is going to knock me
there definitely won't be a goose player knocking my teeth out to the extent that no amount of strafing will do anything
this is f-zero 99, it's always a frickfest
You're complaining while that Captain Falcon who did hit the booster got passed by you. Typical.
Spin when it's a frickfest, try to strafe in when it isn't
I really like how you made this video and everyone responded by dunking on you. The Fzero99 threads are magical and I love them.
really highlights how nobody has actual arguments and is just talking out of their ass
Spoken like a true ovallet.
>is downwind of the boost
>wonders why they get easily shoved further downwind away from it
what inane shit are you dribbling out of your mouth now
how do you expect me to get anywhere else when there are 4 players to my right, one of which is spinning
NTA but maybe this will help a little. When the wind is pushing you to the left, when you exit the previous turn, stick to the right side. That way it's easier to slide into the boostpad and there's less of a chance of being pushed off
I'm a diehard goose pilot so this doesn't affect me nearly as much, but hopefully this is good advice
If you're so shit at positioning, and you're in the middle of the pack, then save your spins for it.
>save your spin
not the anon getting his ass blasted by Death Wind, but he wrote in that very post that he can't save the spin for two separate boosters. There's just the one spin.
>so shit at positioning
what could i have done to "position" better o wise one
>you're in the middle of the pack
this is always on death wind
>save your spins
oh i'm sorry i haven't unlocked the powerup that lets you save 2 spins
that's quite easy to say watching it in hindsight
in the moment strafing there made no sense, it would have gotten me closer to the racers to my right
easier said than done, sometimes the crowd just doesn't let you through because they all have the same idea
>easier said than done
Yeah, true. I'd say this is definitely a bigger issue on lap 1, so it might be better for you to use that lap to try and collect as many orbs as possible so you can use the skyway to catch up if you miss it. Once people start using the skyway it thins the field out a little bit and you have an easier time hitting the boosts, at least until the frickery in the last lap
usually by the time i get a skyway it's too late to catch up and i get ranked out
I remember this. In my reply to you I specifically told you to strafe and spin. Where is your strafing?
>S8 with 99+ wins ends mute city in 60+ place
this fricking course man
It's getting fricking tough out there in Mute City
>want the golden skin for every car
>kind of like the white skin you get for 9999 rank points
Damn.
Did anything get datamined about potential future colors and machine design customization? I wish there was some more
There's more decals you can see on the loading screens.
>zero new tracks
>zero new race car models
>zero new soundtracks
>not even all SNES tracks available
Literally another lazy nintendo project
Thats why its called Fzero, Dummy.
>realize i cant win
>feel my mindset instantly shift
>just start fricking blasting people
is this the natural course of action?
no it's cope
So then I started blastin'.
>we could've gotten full 3D tracks
pain
I think this would have looked worse.
but it could've allowed for other games tracks
Anon, the entire game is in 3D but made to look like Mode 7.
I'm not sure if I would have preferred this, but I do wish they could've enhanced the graphics a little more by making the sides of the track feel like it's actually way below the track.
>need 50 team wins for the final badge
Sigh
It's annoying as it is nothing but luck but at least you don't lose anything in-game on it, no ranks and no levels, only time, which might me more valuable though
It upgrades to 99
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
that was my reaction at 50 wins as well
>look at thread while waiting for match
>forget to vote
>it's fricking Death Wind 1
thread is cursed
White Land sucks, pick Port Town.
you won't be saying that when the last remaining players learn the jump skips and the game turns into f-zero nitro fuelled
frick that bumpers are aids on port town
yeah I genuinely have no idea how to deal with them on the magnet part sometimes besides skyway
Just tank the damage from the magnets and boost through the sides.
Holy mother of shit taste.
White Land > Port Town
They're both great courses.
the worst courses are easily mute city and death wind, luck matters more than skill on those courses.
Maybe you should have leveled your luck stat then. That's a you problem.
>beat out rival DrkSchndr by 30 positions

FALCON, SHALL I TELL YOU SOMETHING BEFORE YOU DIE
BOOST, AND HEALTH, THE TWO GREAT FORCES WHICH MAKE UP OUR UNIVERSE
THESE TWO UNIVERSAL FORCES ARE CONDENSED IN EACH OF OUR MACHINES
DIDN'T YOU KNOW?
AT THE MOMENT WHEN THE TWO FORCES BECOME ONE, IT IS POSSIBLE TO SEIZE THAT POWER
THEN I CAN TURN THIS WHOLE GALAXY INTO A PILE OF ASHES IN AN INSTANT
What was Deathborn's problem anyways?

Is this anyone else's favorite song in GX? I think it's because it most resembles the soundtrack in X, it's so good
>lost lead to a Fox because a lucky bumper and two reds fricked me on the narrowest road in the game
I mad.
Lucky bumper is fine as a mechanic. Regular/red bumpers are fair. Both together is utter bullshit and should not be in the game.
It was the first time I saw all three line up so you couldn't go between, man it's kind of fricked that it happened on the final Port Town chicane. Didn't get hit but it slowed me down too much.
>get a KO
>primed to steal first with a skyway and a full energy bar
>skyway drops me into a lucky bumper who knocks me into a red bumper
how are you actually supposed to recover on death wind? i feel like i always fall behind right at the start and then thats it
That's the funny thing
You don't
Getting a kill is the only real way.
Good skyway use hard carries. Make sure you use it in a section with triple boosts lined up up top.
Skypath on the middle point between the goal and the gravel, then just hope your opponents are hitting each other enough to let you catch them up.
I figured out how to consistently get a good if not perfect place on Death Wind I as Falcon but I'm not telling any of you because I want to keep winning.
you ay this as though falcon has trouble getting good places
it's winning that's the problem
