No. Far Cry 4 is better in every regard except the radio music. Fortresses, enemy variety, cooler enemy camps, much cooler map, more fun upgrade system, more fun side content, more fun stealth...
6 is objectively better. Same game but better looking world and less broken balance. (it's still pretty broken)
Nah. 4 has pretty good atmosphere, but it's probably the most shitty ass single player MMO thing in the franchise. I played around the time you visit your family home and then just flew to Pagan's fortress, captured it way underleveled and watched the ending on youtube.
for me, its rolling for the girl npcs that show a lot of skin because theyre fully modeled underneath their clothes all the way down to textured nipples
I haven't beaten Far Cry 4 yet, and didn't try 5 though I own it. The third game was my favorite so far, along with Blood Dragon which is an 11/10 masterpiece that should have been made into a full game.
I'm sure 5 will be good. I like the setting and story idea.
I like blood dragon, but I think it's short length is an advantage, it end before getting boring or too repetitive, I would have love a proper final boss though
the setting is really good. the companions and gameplay is good, the story is interesting and not just muh cristian bashing like people had assumed just fricking murdering a crazy hillbilly cult and its kino
To me the biggest fault is the forced capture bullshit that happens repeatedly once you've completed a certain number of quests in it. Luckily there are mods that can change the resistance points gain rate though.
Yeah it just annoyed me, plus it made 0 sense. I know it's a game but the whole >We're going to kill you next time!
Then get captured 6 more times was just moronic. Plus how it was completely unavoidable once it was triggered. Like you'd be flying a helicopter, then get hit by some bullet from who knows where.
I always end up modding the game to stop it giving so many reputation points each mission, and it has spread out the forced kidnappings to a more acceptable pace.
I have managed to outlast the attempts a bunch of times too, though they can pop up out of nowhere after that.
Yeah same, I use the Resistance Mod and set it so I have to complete every side quest to get enough RP for it to trigger. Got sick of still having side quests left over in the area then it just triggers the boss fight.
>Got sick of still having side quests left over in the area then it just triggers the boss fight.
i liked this. the game gave you a lot of freedom in how you play the game; the only required missions were those where you were captured. if you wanted to beat the game skipping all side quests and just blowing up convoys all day, you can do that
I always end up modding the game to stop it giving so many reputation points each mission, and it has spread out the forced kidnappings to a more acceptable pace.
I have managed to outlast the attempts a bunch of times too, though they can pop up out of nowhere after that.
Based anon. Vaas was such a great villain. I also loved the setting of three more than any of the others thus far, though 5 is one I'm interested in. The next Far Cry needs to be in fricking Antarctica or something, that would be perfect.
Also staying with Jungle Bunny at the end of 3 was chef's kiss. So delicious she was.
Unfortunately the game fails. I would love to hunt and fish in that setting without encountering conflict. Thus brings the game down from 8/10 to 4/10.
5 sucks and I swear most of you only like it for le epic tradcult choir music. >half the guns are literal tacticool reskins of guns you get earlier with no improvements whatsoever >all the guns that would have actually given variety are cut content or DLC-locked >the game has no content outside of story missions >you can miss a mission in the southwest region from how fast the resistance meter increases in vanilla, but raising the requirements with a mod just makes the rest of the world take forever >hunting was removed entirely, no longer crafting items from hunted materials and harvesting animals is just pressing the use key to magically get the item now >melee kills are no longer cool machete shit, just punches and random objects >environmental interactions are gone >surgery is gone >added full body first person view but you still have no shadow >turned the character into a mute just so you could play dressup doll and make him a female
>end game with a surprising emotional moment where all your friends are dead and you're going to be mindfricked by the cult leader >anon throws a manchild temper tantrum because the sequel doesn't take place in a world where all africans ceased to exist
You seem really filled with wrath over a game that didn't meet your expectations. It's difficult to please everybody, and the company just went with what they thought would work. Take it easy, anon.
I honestly think I'm a ubislop enjoyer but even I found FC6 terrible, dropped it in like 4 hours.
Far Cry 5 was fun as frick though, I absolutely loved the setting.
The sixth hasn't appealed to me, though I wanted to love that Gus Fring was in it. What about it was bad? I'll probably give it a shot once I have nothing else to play and it's on a super sale. The games get such cheap sales that it's pretty easy to rationalize giving them a shot either way. New Dawn is another I'm not sure how I feel about trying, though I own it 'cause it came in a package.
it's the most game-y of the far crys. you can shoot someone in the head multiple times with a sniper rifle and they won't die because you didn't use the right ammo.
NTA but FC6 feels like a step backwards with the NPCs and companions, and the backpack special attack is poorly thought out.
It has a more of a rock, paper, scissors aspect to it with weapons and enemy types. You can shoot at unarmored enemies with an armor piercing round, but because they are unarmored, it's less effective.
They seem to have doubled down with it in the DLC too, so it's definitely something they intended.
I like the idea of having to do more to take down enemies, honestly. The other games were fun with their mechanics and will always remain great, but taking a chance at something new is laudable. Thanks for informing me. It looks like I'm going to get Far Cry 6 as well.
I have no idea what it's about actually, I just remember seeing Gus Fring and that made it appeal to me. That coupled with what else I have read here means I'm likely going to play it in the future.

Yeah, it's just filled by Canadian hate of America. Surprised there isn't a mission where you must suck off trannies to prove how progressive you are.
None of the factions really qualify as communists in any form. They are mostly about "liberty". First one is a farmer/land owner who got fricked by the game's fascist antagonist. You help them to get their lands back. Second one are zoomers that rap about revolution, but one of the leaders just wants to frick off from the country and gets mixed in with a human-trafficking sociopath criminal. They are the Twitter faction, but not really communist. Lastly there's the old school rebel geezers that stuck to living in the jungle, which come off more as comedy relief liberal geezers than anything ideological, and the chapter's theme is really more about tying up the generational gap.

Funniest part is that main character still idolizes USA and dreams of living there, but at every other point devs shit on USA and white people.
Good luck to you, dude. I hope you enjoy it. The environment is gorgeous, and the main baddie does a good performance but is woefully underutilized - it does not mean there aren't fun parts to the game.
>Sucks we have to side with the feds.
What do you mean sucks? You're literally playing as a fed killing thousands of based white men. This game is a humiliation ritual.
>Why are all the most 'murican things ever made not actually made by burgers
because as a 'cultural melting pot' all they can do is take from other cultures.
more like plunged off a fricking cliff. For all the promise the story had, the game just goes about a tired formula in the least inspired way possible, I've never felt as dead to a game in quite some time as to this title, what a fricking disaster.
for me, its rolling for the girl npcs that show a lot of skin because theyre fully modeled underneath their clothes all the way down to textured nipples
All FC3 needs is the ability to fully disable the HUD and fix the fricking ambient occlusion. It has some of the worst AO you'll ever see and this was even noted at the time.
Loved FC3 Ziggy's mod, the extra gun options and more dangerous ballistics made the game far more interesting to me. But then he started removing arbitrary shit he deemed unrealistic and deleting old versions of his mod. I'm still mad about the removal of the gunslinger takedown. Leveling up to finally acquire Man With No Name quickdraw skills was so much fun.
self correction, it was apparently removed because some change he made to another skill caused issues. Still think he should have rolled back that change instead of completely removing base skills instead. At the very least keep old versions up
is there a worse mission than The Cleansing? >fail or die during the holdout >have to redo it for the full 5 minutes
the gold mine one with Kipp maybe, but only because it causes the game to crash when using the Swag Cult mod
The mortar is bait. You are best off just camping the end of the bridge an pop pop watching peggies drop with the odd aim to the right for the dudes in the river. Admittedly I played on PC so lmao mouse aiming which might have contributed to the ease of delivering righteous justice.
far cry 6 hardly had any supernatural shit, which was a shame because 3-5 had little hints here and there. 5 was ambiguous if Joseph Sneed actually heard the word of God but it seems to strongly suggest it
New Dawn - don't play it - heavily indicates he did hear the word of god but got the message wrong. This ties in with the ending of 5 where the Rook is actually the herald, not Joe.
>New Dawn - don't play it
i feel like i'm the only person that liked it. i can see how it being more of a looter-shooter than the mainline games would turn people off, but once you get your powers and some good weapons it can be fun. you can endlessly clear outposts too
Problem is to get enough resources you have to grind those "frick off to a die map and kill dudes" missions which kills the pacing. Plus the two dirt bike baddie girls are moustache twirling evil.
>yes we killed a dude cuz he looked at me funny ain't I evil!? >ahaha yes you are sis stay strong now eat that baby!
The fact that 6 doubled down on those mechanics but had to spread it across a game 3 times as long is even worse.
>i spent extra money on new dawn because you can finally turn off the flashing enemy bodies >everything else sucks
i have to restart the campaign every 10 outposts because of their dumb fricking levels
ALL of the ubisoft far cry games are best played on hardest difficulty, HUD off and going full rambo. Pick fights on your terms, fire and fade for maximum guerilla combat and popping heads to not waste ammo. naturally FC2 is the most refined of this but that makes the game chibi STALKER and normals hated that approach so 3 onwards are turbo moron proof. Still with the above options (thankfully often provided by ubisoft) the games can be wrangled to play in a manner the plot portrays.
No. Far Cry 4 is better in every regard except the radio music. Fortresses, enemy variety, cooler enemy camps, much cooler map, more fun upgrade system, more fun side content, more fun stealth...

That you kill

So what?
Its in Nepal genius
Okay mountain brown people.
Need nymphomaniac helicopter cougar
Kyrat SHIT
Oros SHIT
On paper, it should be.
I just felt nothing when playing it.
I can't manage to explain it.
confirmed
>mfw i made both these webms
>her profile pic vs her on date night
The music in this game was so good
This is literally the comfiest song ever made. Nothing will ever top it.
Far crys peak is either 2 or 4 depending on what version of the series you prefer
I never played anything after 3 but I love 2. If there was a similar game I'd love to play it.
The love for simple rural american life the map modlers have really shines through
Look at this
>oh wow, a house!
do chuds really?

I thought everything about the series now was dedicated to trying to reach the high that 3 reached.

It was a short honeymoon
Jason did nothing wrong.
That's not Primal.
I haven't tried Primal yet either but I do own it. It's good?
Cave kino
Yep. It's definitely the most unique. Bombing outpost with your owl while riding a sabertooth tiger is something else.

once you liberate a region you can do this to your heart's content

You are correct, yes. When I played mostly used the little wheelchair dog or Boomer though so I wasn't forced to listen to too much chatter.

Yeah, it's just filled by Canadian hate of America. Surprised there isn't a mission where you must suck off trannies to prove how progressive you are.
The entire center region is sucking off a troony

bebe tigre
one of the secondary antagonists is killed in a blind rage because she heckin misgendered a valid transmasc
The best bit about that is the actual troony in the game is the sensible one who just wants to frick off because el dictator is doing his evil thing.
Good luck to you, dude. I hope you enjoy it. The environment is gorgeous, and the main baddie does a good performance but is woefully underutilized - it does not mean there aren't fun parts to the game.
Thanks anon. You know what would be really awesome to experience? Far Cry VR...
It just hit me now but if they could make Far Cry 3 or Blood Dragon in VR I think it would be fricking phenomenal.
If we could join the villains then it would be the perfect Far Cry game. Sucks we have to side with the feds.
>Sucks we have to side with the feds.
What do you mean sucks? You're literally playing as a fed killing thousands of based white men. This game is a humiliation ritual.

No thank you fed Black person.

Wasn't bad. The intro was pretty good.
>Villain's name is Joseph Sneed
Obviously
Far Cry 3 is peak early 2010's and I love it. Just give us a fricking remake already, it's not like they'll make anything as good.
All FC3 needs is the ability to fully disable the HUD and fix the fricking ambient occlusion. It has some of the worst AO you'll ever see and this was even noted at the time.
Don't forget that ugly patterned fade-in you get when distant objects enter your draw distance
That just needs pushing the LODs out which might be doable today with some config file frickery (I know it can be done with 4).
Loved FC3 Ziggy's mod, the extra gun options and more dangerous ballistics made the game far more interesting to me.
