futa sfm starring anabella
watching the flashback scenes of her makes me wanna give her the dick, shes so fricking hot
Wonder what she thought at this point while watching Clive priming. She basically had exactly what she wanted, a strong capable decedent with her very own "elite" pedigree and the most powerful dominant power, and she gave it up to be a side b***h lmao
>she gave it up to be a side b***h lmao
Because she thought Clive was a fricking failure
She's a power-grubbing c**t who's mainly interested in puppeting around a Phoenix dominant from the shadows
He id a failure but he is the jrpg game mc so it has to be alien ifrit jesus
Is she his biological mother or not? Her complete dismissal or Clive aside she says there were rumors Ewin had his firstborn with some concubine, saying she birthed him to dispel such rumors would kinda put and end to that.
She was his mother, that's the whole point. Clive not having the phoenix shamed her so much that there were rumors going around he wasn't actually her son but just some bastard that was brought in by the Duke. The problem was that HE WAS her son, and she couldn't stop seething about it.
>be me, shapeshifting space alien demon
>masquerade as a clinically moronic drooling child and pass my days sucking on an evil noblewoman's breasts
dangerous based ayys
not final fantasy
dead final fantasy
raped final fantasy
Frick you
This is not FFXV
People like you should just go kys
This is probably the most final fantasy final fantasy since 6
How hard does it grip?
Im about to do the mission in Oriflamme, having a lot of fun. Side quests are meh, basic jrpg stuff with some nice snippets to the world here and there. The ones in Royal Meadows (the missing "pet" and the rich kid with the wolf) are kind of funny even if it wasnt intended to be that way. Music goes from good to amazing. Also, some of the facial animations are great, while others are typically janky
>laying it on thick that the branded are treated poorly
do all nips know no subtlety or is it just the hacks who wrote this game?
it's the country that gave birth to hideo kijima, what do you think?
Subtlety is for cowards
They sure as hell remembered to be subtle once someone's survival is concerned
this is really my main gripe with the game. seems like every RPG ever made has a racism allegory but i don't know if i've ever played one where it was this hamfisted and over the top.
also it's completely moronic, the people who can use magic without crystals should obviously be the ruling class while the no magic people should be the serfs serving them. the idea that a mother would throw their baby away because it can use magic is laughable. and the magic slaves are shown doing mundane shit like using wind magic to blow dry laundry. who the frick wrote this garbage? At least it gets a little better after the first third of the game when you don't have your brand anymore
Tales of Rebirth was over the top on racism in its world, but the game never left Japan.
It's all just to push an allegory that muh hard work is good for you. The kid in the end lighting fire with a flint and steel is supposed to be like an achievement showing that mankind has matured.
but that would fit even better if the ruling class was all magic users. would just need to change the story so that there were no small crystals to let people use magic, the big crystals instead are the source of magic for the people who can use magic. fits better into the climate change allegory too
>Using too much magic turns you into stone and everyone knows this
>towns are running out of crystals
>crystals do literally everything
>have a baby
>it has the gift of magic and can do it without crystals
>oh god get it away from me!
Yeah pretty dumb. The magic part is probably an allegory about how they are strong if they hand together and they just don’t because of systemic suppression.
you forget that using the magic too much literally kills you, which is probably the main reason why the branded are treated as lower class and disposable.
>ou forget that using the magic too much literally kills you
Yeah how's that a good reason to hate them?
It's one thing if using too much magic kills not just you but the people around you too, or if it spreads some kind of desiase... but it doesn't.
It only affects the branded. If anything, they would be more likely to be seem as victims.
Even people who were born with birth defects weren't necessarily hated in the past. People with gifts are envied but rarely hated
It still doesn't make any sense and you know it
Anon this may come as a surprise for you, but slaves are indeed treated poorly
I bet you would scream about "muh subtlety" while reading Turgenev's Mumu too
this may come as a surprise for (you), but slaves aren't treated as poorly as you think they are. slaves aren't cheap, and working them like mules is what an amateur slave owner did, and being too harsh on slaves almost always backfires in history, as it did in the servile wars (led to some legal checks and balances to restrain abuse of slaves, and improvement of QOL for slaves), Haiti (caused most new world plantationers to improve the QOL of their slaves), and so on.
You're repeating the most basic conservative grifter rhetoric. Grow a brain, kid.
>I bet you would scream about "muh subtlety" while reading Turgenev's Mumu too
no because that is literlly a story for little children
>make 20 different hints that Clive lives
>also make an entry for the crystallization curse and say there's no cure
Does it not stop once it starts, or are you good as long as you stop using magic?
I think it's tied to magic use, but once you hit a certain point then you're done. Magic is dead in the world after what Clive does, and him failing to summon to flames I think is meant to showcase that. Clive's hand is gone, but I don't think it'll spread more than that.
From what I understand it progresses only if you keep using magic, beyond that the fact that Clive is alive is beyond obvious.
>He didn't survive that explosion just to die on the beach
>Jill's wish
>Only his left hand was petrified, which not coincidentally was the one he used to cast the spell at the end
>Literally last seen alive and not even in that rough of a shape
>Clive narrating
>Someone had to have written the book, and Joshua isn't alive unless you are delusional
Don't forget
>Jill and Clive's dialogue during the ''Priceless'' side quest
>Clive getting a quill from Harpocrates to write down his story in the future
Ambiguous endings are dogshit either way
There's also the fact Clive really liked heroic tales of adventures as a kid, to the point of reciting and playing a scene from a tale with his uncle
God tier scene by the way
>Someone had to have written the book
Joshua wrote the book because it didn’t happen. He was just a cringe self insert that wrote a bunch of deviant gay fetish fanfiction about alien troons getting fricked by dudes.
>…in the end it truly was a Final Fantasy, available only on PlayStation 5
Clive literally gets a quill gifted to him in one of the final side-quests, he wrote the book
>b-b-but he had a p-pen and totally looked at a book longingly one time, I swear!
Prove it, the ending says otherwise.
Everyone died including the “author” and your headcanon author.
It's incredible that most FF14 gays didn't understood it.
FF16 didn't happen because the "game" (aka the book) is from our own real world. (basically treating FF16 like the bible).
I see nobody talking about that, so I guess it's time to say it: at the end, the game make a tremendous effort to show that the world of FF16 is literally in the milky way. Which mean it is earth that we are talking about (blue planet with a moon at the same distance and size).
Knowing that, FF16 story cannot exist, and this is why the term "mythos" and "the game is over" is over represent in the dialogue, aka, the book is the equivalent of a game in old time.
You are 1 week behind brainlet-kun
1 week behind what?
I'm the one who write the book
There's a shit load of Bearers who are alive and relatively well within the game despite having it far worse than just a left hand crysallized.
It's there to show that Clive didn't escape godkilling unscathed but there would be no reason to show him on a beach in one piece if he died.
I think a lot of people conflated Clive saying he is not strong enough to use Ultima's power for long to him being guaranteed to die after a short amount of time, which isn't actually the case if we go by the way the sentence was structured but it's an easy misunderstanding.
I WANT TO HAVE SEGS WITH TARJA+5
same but with Martha
Jill should've been gangraped.
How do ffgays cope with the fact that ff hasn't been good in over a decade?
With the fact that it's good again at least
Oh, what good instalment released?
SOP and FFXVI
Both trash dough ;/
FF13-2, Lightning Returns are fun
FF16 is pretty fun too
Cant wait for FF7Rebirth
>a decade
try two
by hating ~~*what*~~ destroyed it like with every other thing that I love that ~~*they*~~ destroyed
So did Anabella's phoenix pussy corrupt the Emperor, or was it just Ultima/Olivier?
Annabelle was just a huge b***h, Ultima just had to sit back and watch, and he would hopefully get the throne thanks to her bullshit.
So how long before someone comes out and confirms Clive's fate? They won't leave it ambiguous forever, nips aren't capable of that.
Ben already hinted at him being alive when he was on with some youtubers playing the demo
Probably a dlc with Leviathan
I think we will get a DLC about Cid meeting Bahamut in the Empire when trying to break in before. Reuse area, Cid moveset and flesh out one element, and a big eikon fight.
I'd like to see one with Shiva but I am not sure where Jill could fit in
Where do you set it though? Post-game it confirms Clive's fate, but Clive isn't exactly up to combat anymore. Mid-game, and it unlocks a less ambiguous ending?
Jill's search for Clive could be doable
Jill had no time to even get away let alone search for someone lmao. And if that was before her capture, she didn't have any powers.
I was thinking post-game, to clear up Clive's fate
My bad, still I don't see why Clive wouldn't be able to return on his own, but if they write in a decent reason it could be pretty good.
You can make the DLC in a way where Clive is stuck on Leviathan island, and can't get back because ''something something'' Leviathan is keeping the magic there alive for itself
This, give us Jill's game
>A whole DLC where you have to play as the one of the most bland FF heroines ever
no thanks
>hating on Jill, one of the sweetest girls in the franchise
Imagine being THIS much of a fricking homosexual
Yeah she's really sweet, but she's an incredibly boring character
She fulfills her narrative function extremely well and her relationships with Clive are among the best in the franchise. You don't need to be a fricking clown to be a good character.
>her relationships with Clive are among the best in the franchise
lmao
Jill and Clive are less interesting and have less chemistry than basically any FF 7 or higher.
Horseshit. Clive and Jill share more tender moments than five Clouds and Tifas put together.
The only romance better than theirs is in X.
What romance? Most of it is offscreen, Jill says more to Clive in letters than she does in the hundreds of cutscenes they're together in
Jill and Clive are both more conceptually boring than even Noctis and Lunafreya, although the execution is certainly better because, for instance, XVI isn't an incomplete game made out of scraps of a better, canceled project
Luna is also cuter imo
>XVI isn't an incomplete game made out of scraps of a better, canceled project
XV is an incomplete game but still manages to have more content than a complete game with all the optional dungeons and shit
Lol lmao, NTA but no point to do the content if the game is horrible
True, but the combat is trash, rendering that content useless
The combat in XVI is at least tolerable
I can't help but agree. Clive has that moment of reenacting childhood stories he loved as a child to his uncle and it does a lot for me to like him in such a humorous poignant moment. If Jill had a moment of levity, it would've done wonders to endear her. As it stands, it's mostly lovey-dovey fated to be together stuff and not much else.
She just doesn't chime in much, its weird because you look at 7R, Tifa and Aerith chime in all the fricking time.
Ff16 is a man's world an there is no place for Jill. She knows her place like a good waifu.
Part of me thinks that Jill was not intended to be around as much as she was, but they had to respond to complaints about no party
It's crazy how she's also a dominant but she does nothing. You could say that after the prologue and during the Liquid Flame fight are the only moments she does something
And not just as dominant, but as character.
I got that impression too. The part where you go back to her home is very weird because she never shuts up while going through the dungeon when before I forgot she was there half the time due to her being so quiet.
As far as the western audience go
>Pure love = Boring
If she was some giga bawd Ganker would love her
Correct.
>and then magic leaves the world
Frick off.
Every single time this has happened in Final Fantasy it's hackneyed bullshit.
It sucked when FF6 did it.
It sucked when FFXV did it.
FF7 shrugging and going "i dunno" when humans don't have magic sucks.
FF8 having an excuse for normies to have magic while the Sorceresses have real magic sucks.
Frick OFF, stop plagiarizing Lord of the Rings.
And yes I think it sucked when Lord of the Rings did it too.
>It sucked when FFXV did it.
Magic didn't leave the world in FFXIV, the star scourge did. Noctis had to kill himself and thus end his entire bloodline to do so.
Anyone else finding performance mode to be pretty solid? Keep reading about people having big problems with it, but so far really smooth for me while maintaining nice graphics.
>smooth
its not, its fluctuating between 30-60 with terrible framepacing
Literally drops to 720p. I hate pcgays but snoybros this is fricked
SEX WITH CHIRADA
Clive and Joshua really should've gangbanged her for rehabilitation's sake.
fricking sauce
Takasugi Kou if that filename isn't enough
>one of two good villains in the game
>disappears for 20 hours at a time and then kills herself
>good villain
She was basically a cartoon villain with how much of a heartless b***h she was.
And she was still better than Ultima and Barnabas
I'm about to go to Drake's Breath. How far into the game am I?
>DLC is Jill's postgame adventure to get her husband back
>attunes with Leviathan for the last one push towards her and Clive's happiness
Would you play it?
Yes
Give me a CliveJill kid
Jill obviously had kids but it wasn't with Clive.
calm down cuck-kun
>>DLC is Jill's postgame adventure to get her husband back
only if she starts wearing short shorts and low cut Ts
>Aventure involves a lot of seafaring and water adventures
>forces her to undress a bit
>Mid in a bikini as a companion
>a new goth girl companion
i'll play it
God give us a FF16-2 cringekino
I'd pre-order the Deluxe version
>I never knew a smile could bring so much joy
>all the suffering, depression and suicidal tendencies led to that moment
>the sidequest where Jill tells him she knows he'll always come for her
KINO romance
I'd be super butthurt if Clive died especially with how much of a cute couple he and Jill are.
So far Anabelle is clearly just written for the player to hate, she's absolutely smug as frick and a c**t about everything. She knows she's getting away with everything and playing all the men/kings and shit for fools. She calls Benedicta a "common prostitute" even though Anabelle is literally a prostitute herself. She essentially feigned romance for Erwin and had son with him all so she could groom Joshua into ruling the world, but then when that backfired she betrayed Elwin, but sleeping with Sylvester and siding with the empire since Joshua was dead her plans were ruined and she had to start over, so she went to Sylvester, had a child with him to replace Joshua so her plan could start again, but she also knew the Holy Empire was a stronger force in the world.
The women is fricking insane and I hate her so much, she isn't even on fricking screen very often but when she is, even for 5-10 seconds, it's obnoxious. That scene where they're in the royal court and she just smugly starts at Dion while petting Olivier. She knows Dion doesn't like her, and she doesn't care. She doesn't even like Sylvester, she just slept with the man to get in his good graces and become empress. She's a massive manipulator/user.
Even Benedicta wasn't that bad. I'm like 50% through the game and I still don't know what her ultimate motivation is, or why she hates people the way she does. I guess she believes the world should only be inhabited by nobility, she seems to hate peasants, and what's strange is Clive is highborn, but she hated him because he was firstborn and wasn't the phoenix dominant. I figured she believes "firstborn sons" should be the most important, but since Clive was passed over I guess the gods deemed him worthless or something? So in her eyes he was essentially a peasant? Either way it's obvious she never loved Joshua, or probably even Oliver. She wants to manipulate them and use their power/status to control the world.
was there ever an olivier even? how did ultima overtake him?
I told your ass I'm only halfway through, next time spoiler something like that, that's obviously a pretty massive spoiler and you just spoiled it for me. butthole.
The only thing I knew about Ultima is that Joshua sealed him inside him but thanks to you I now know something I should have learned myself later on in the game, and now the shock value is ruined for me.
Why are you in this thread.
Do you not know how to use spoilers on Ganker? It's not hard. It's a discussion thread yes, but you can at least have the courtesy to spoil stuff. Not everyone is finished with the game, and some of us didn't just watch a movie of it on Youtube. I'm taking my time to play it.
Jill dies.
Not that guy who spoiled you, but I'm mobileposting so spoilers are a b***h. Also just get the frick out of here moron and play the game.
boo hoo
They're trying to do a Cersei, but just shit cause they didn't get it.
Was Anabella in on the empires attack at the beginning?
Anabella should have pulled a Kuja and usurped Ultima to be the main villain.
So far the only fight that I've had trouble beating is the first Hugo fight dude has like 80 fricking attacks and apparently one of the attacks is an INSTANT KILL regardless of how much HP you have, the only way I knew to survive it was to enter prime mode, because you can't die in prime mode and from what I can tell you can't parry/dodge the attack, it covers the ENTIRE BATTLE AREA and it will one shot you, an absolute bullshit attack because the player has only one actual way to survive it, they don't even let you fricking dodge it/block it.
I think Hugo took me about 5-6 tries, he killed me at least five times, and three times was to that gay ass instant kill attack. Frick him.
Bro you can just jump over it
You're bullshiting me? You can JUMP OVER an explosion that takes up the entire screen? It didn't look like you could jump over it.
homie it doesn't cover the whole area, just run out of it.
>ultimate theme of the plot is just "status quo good"
I hate this shit. I hated it every time every nation in XIV is kicked into globohomoism and I hate it here. Frick off with this non-magical agenda.
>every nation in XIV is kicked into globohomoism
This might be one of the most nonsensical reads of FFXIV's story and theme of cooperating cultures I have ever read
Endwalker alone slaps your face with its fricking wiener about this being an objectively incorrect read of the story
Do you, like, get sexual gratification from misinterpreting the story
Sorry did Ishgard, Ala Mhigo, Bozja, and Dalmasca not become republics? Are Limsa, Ul'dah, Garlemald, and Doma not soon-to-be republics? There was an entire scene about the second coming if the Crystal Braves in the form of a united Grand Company of Eorzea, except now the plot has just forgotten about the concept of corruption so it's okay.
Frick Endwalker too. Oh every alien race ever just sucks and kills themselves, turns out the key to happiness is that diversity is our strength. Yeah fricking thanks Yoshida.
Ishgard became a pseudo-republic with a House of Lords and House of Commons but no specific figurehead
Complaining about Ala Mhigo becoming a republic is hilarious when there is not a single Ala Mhigan on the planet that actually wants a monarchy to return
Bozja is modeling itself after Garlean rule, specifically Gabranth's policies, and its interim government isn't specified; they haven't even gotten far enough to make any judgment calls in that regard, and their entire culture revolves around Queen Gunnhildr's legend still
Dalmasca/Ivalice is nonexistent right now
On paper Merlwyb is an elected official, already was a pseudo-republic
Ul'dah becoming a republic being a fricking horrible idea drove the entire plot of post-ARR and Heavensward and Nanamo has no current plans to abdicate power
Garlemald literally does not exist right now
Doma is not becoming a republic
The Grand Company is an alliance you dipshit
Merlwyb is unironically a dictator that's like ten years over her elected term. The setting is literally age-of-discovery so actually it makes sense many governments are moving to democracy and republicanism, however the writers forgot that clusterfrick known as "the french revolution" set the stage for all of that so somehow whenever we're involved it's boring and bloodless.
GCoE is as the name implies an international Grand Company, which is exactly what the Crystal Braves was. Again, all the corruption and political complexity in Eorzea is forgotten.
I can fix her
I sincerely hope Clive is alive at the end or I will remind them of kyoani
So is it ever explained how She gave birth to the Mythos or what Ifirit is? And the Pheonix?
Jill lives.
Clive lives.
Joshua lives.
Torgal lives.
They all get their happy ending.
What about our golden lad, Dion?
Sure Metia can magically bring him back along with Clive and Joshua
Nice.
Metia didn't bring back anyone moron, Clive never died, he was just saved thanks to her.
Metia is there for symbolism, but even then morons think he died
Whether it's just symbolism or she intervened somehow we can't really know nor does it really matter, but Clive never died that's for sure.
I told you guys the story would suck. The Heavensward guy was only good compared to ARR which came before. Now where is my Ishikawa-written FF17
15 years from now when America is dead from nuclear warfare and collapsed economy.
Putting Clive alive/dead bullshit aside, I've just completed the game and...Who is the secret uber-boss in this one?
Me.
shit fanart, doesn't fit jill's attitude at all
Blame japs
Her frozen eggs are OVULATED with the sole purpose of being inseminated by Clive's fiery seed.
I talked shit about the Berserker Ring when I first saw it in the previews but this shit is BUSSIN FR FR
There's something about Jill that makes her extremely huggable
Clive agrees too
Agreed, Jill is too cute
>game is about destroying a corrupt world order drinking the planet's lifeblood for shekels/power/prestige
>directionbrains think they're being propagandized by the global warming agenda again
Why is the entire "gaming community" like this?
(you)
She'll never be the head of a major corporation
>PS5 exclusive until november 2024
Pretty much dead to me. I'm gonna dodge spoilers for more than a year.
evil women make me rock hard, pls send help
>not my final fantasy
>continues to pretend bravely default and octopath don't exist
you're forgetting the real heir to Final Fantasy
>Hugo is already more popular than Clive in porn (rule34 paheal amd twitter)
MY FRICKING SIDES
I've seen porn of Clive but none of Hugo yet, you're lying
Lying? Go to Rule34 paheal. Baragays are already lusting for Hugo
Well of course they would, they are baragays. Clive and Barnabas are for women.
Poor Barnabas then, because gays are far better artists than women and I like him.
Me too anon, it's a shame. I think him being a mothercon puts off most guys
True. Hugo should NEVER be antagonist. He should be the anti-hero. He is too hot to die.
https://twitter.com/StanGArtAD/status/1672487053680947201?t=e6pPjEBSt_aZH6LTQAdolw&s=19
Everytime I saw Hugo turn into Titan I wished he would step on me
Joshua's going to get most of it
The scene with Clive and his uncle was legitimately incredible
You size queens, hugo has a tiny pecker
Who has the biggest one? List them in order
Cid>Anabella>Clive>Gav>Barny>Dion>Hugo.
Ultima doesn't count since he can shapeshift to be as big or small as he wants to
Torgal>>
else
Clive
Well that doesn't matter when his breasts are huge and his ass plump.
Wait, I thought people can't use magic of any kind in the deadlands. how did hugo prime?
He was right next to the mother crystal and that a huge thing of aether
there's a mothercrystal near the original hideout?
Frick this big b***h but I finally hit 50k stagger damage https://streamable.com/u1ry9j
That Liquid Flame fight was so good, mostly because I got to stare at Shiva's pits so often.
I'm enjoying the game, but it's super weak as an rpg right?
>mfw Hugo fight
Holy frick, this brickhead had millions of moves.
Hugo is actually quite competent. His entire problem is having wiener instead of brains.
Barry win again even that shirako guy agrees with mmo devs= mmo game
https://www.reddit.com/r/FFXVI/comments/14hz9pj/thoughts_on_shirrakos_review
>8.8
Kek, he knew what he was doing here.
I don't really disagree with anything here.
at least it wasn't kingdom hearts devs = shittier kingdom hearts game.
Well, you dont need to be a hater to see how this game has its entire pacing and level design made like it is a mmo.
The weirdest thing is how when people heard that CBU3 was doing this game, they expected big zones with tons of things to do.
Instead they did a really linear game with 2 "large" zones that dont even justify having a Chocobo.
And Rebirth seems like the game that will be large zones focused
Reality is always crazier than fiction.
>Mmmm, oh Hugo, Benedicta's PUSSY is soooo tight! Are you enjoying the show?
How did they get away with this? Good god.
>surgically remove the brand
>the scar still looks like a brand but a bit fainter
whom are they trying to fool with this shit?
I thought it just symbolism on their part at first, but no, they actually talk about how they can go out and no one will know they're a bearer
>I thought it just symbolism on their part at first, but no, they actually talk about how they can go out and no one will know they're a bearer
A side quest reveals that brands actually have poison in them or some shit so most people probably think you can't remove them at all. Hell, they admit in that side quest that half the people they did the operation on to remove the brand from in the hideaway died in the process.
The box thing is pretty funny. The only point was to show how evil a character who has only had 2 cutscenes (one a flashback) over the course of 25 ish hours is. By the time you fight Hugo for the second time the only thing that matters is someone killed her and the box doesn’t matter at all in the situation.
now, we need a alternate timeline where she's not evil and you play as Elwin
A Final Fantasy with him would be pretty neat. He'll have to fight using crystals and medieval technology and succeed through sheer power of will
Can someone who owns the soundtrack tell me the name of the song that plays during the FIRST part of the Titan VS Ifrit fight? The one that goes "FLASH OF LIGHTNING SOMETHING SOMETHING DUN DUN DA DUN" like a rap or something?
It's catchy as frick and driving me crazy, I gotta keep listening to it.
Please respond. I know the digital deluxe edition has it and I know one of you homosexuals bought it, so you gotta have a copy of the soundtrack. The DD edition came with a copy of the soundtrack.
Does anyone know wtf this is? I found it while fricking around exploring and Clive said it’s not ready yet or some shit, looks like the arete stone at cids town
I found it in the area before the benedikta section
Just keep playing. It’ll unlock shortly. It’s the training mode/arcade section.
Chronolith trials, challenge mode.
Kill the dragon
Oh, and genderbent Clive
Velvet is more based than clive
That was never in question, she has breasts
And a better breast window than odin
don't mix that american GoT slop Black person together with our queen.
wtf I thought you guys said this was just GoT low fantasy shit and piss setting with no wacky FF hijinks
Didn't you see the part of GoT where Arya injects steroids into herself, grows extra arms, loses her legs and pile drives the Night King into a pit?
if that actually happened it would redeem got's shitty second half
>That intro
>That fight
>That OST
The previous area were disappointing, but this is when the kino start
>Yoshit Piss sells this game as an uber dark Game of Thrones ripoff for the west
>Fully armoured knight Izuna dropping Clive
>Torgal doing 360s around Benedikta's neck
>Kaiju fights
>Growing wings and fighting Bahamut in space
>Final Boss literally has a "this really was your final fantasy" alongside a kamehameha beam clash
I shouldn't have been worried, this shit is insane
Sounds stupid.
And that's a good thing
Then frick off homosexual
But when you inevitably come around I expect an apology
>Bene goes semi prime and throws giant blocks of a building after Clive
>Kicks the dog off the roof
>He teleports in out of nowhere and they're having sick combos on her
What I like about this game is that whenever Jill is not standing next to Clive, she quickly trots over to be standing next to Clive.
What I dislike about this game is that there is no option to pet Jill.
This moment would have been better if the party had been helping Dion take control of the city and was with him when he confronted Ultima and subsequently primed. Why did they put it in a flashback after the fight...
The flashback is so weird, because they reveal the kid is ultima with a bad cuscene then present the plotwist of how it happened. So fricking weird
That flashback should've happened before Dion throws the lance at Olivier after the fight
Just a small example of how badly tied the narrative is.
Or just made Dion throw the lance at the kid without any explanation. The problem is how they reveal with a POV cam how Olivier is Ultima, then the whole flashback gets ruined.
This guys is a literal homosexual. I almost droped the game because of him
What was the point of this character? Does Yoshi P just hate women?
They just dont know how to write them to be honest. When they arent straight up the devil like Anabella, they dont have much going on, like Jill.
>When they arent straight up the devil like Anabella, they dont have much going on, like Jill.
I realized how every time jill is going to open her mouth i already know what she's going to say.
It is to talk about how dark her past is, or something related to Clive.
I have no idea of what this woman even likes or dislikes.
>likes: clive
>dislikes: her cumdump years
It's not rocket science
yeah...i guess.
I just expected her having at least as much as characters writen 20 years ago in this franchise.
Her simplicity is a side effect of her character going basically all in on the childhood friend archetype. It's part of her charm, sure she would be more interesting if she had more things going but that's not what they wanted. She is basically the ideal as far as a romantic interest goes, but that doesn't make for a particularly exciting character.
I guess I'm disappointed that the characters in this game are either ideal people or evil caricatures. I was hoping for more nuanced characters since they claimed this was going to be a more mature FF.
> I was hoping for more nuanced characters since they claimed this was going to be a more mature FF
You are not wrong honestly, although some characters like Hugo and Benedicta I would argue are a bit more grey, but the rest are quite clear. At its core it's still a FF game.
>At its core it's still a FF game.
I feel like that's not fair to other FF games that have had more nuanced characters.
Yeah but then if they dont want to make the only character who is at all times with you nuanced, who the frick will they develop?
Surely it wasnt the other dominants. Only dion and cid( who got killed early) had any development
When you have a ton of characters, sure you can rely on tropes. But why would you do this when you have only her as party member.
Writer obviously spent 90% of his time on world building, the characters feel like an afterthought tbh
Dont think this was the right choice. Valisthea is cool but what carry these games are the characters.
The writer even said it himself.
Man, now i remember. They really said that.
And the game also shows it.
They could have gotten somebody else to flesh out the characters or at least an editor to edit the whole thing, Jesus
I'm sure they were extremelly confident in their narrative skills, as their level design. I'm sure that 16's criticism will at least open their eyes now.
>I'm sure that 16's criticism will at least open their eyes now.
I hope so, I feel like Yoshida's been getting kinda full of himself lately.
Has he? I think people are just projecting theor perceptions of him at this point because of his success with 14 much to the dismay of some people. Unless I am missing something he hasn't done anything but hype his game, which is what every dev does.
>mmotroony cultist slop
I haven't played his mmo or any game by him for that matter anon, sorry to disappoint you
way to cast off the idea you're projecting like a motherfricker, anon
I feel like he should have a better grasp that a mmo and a single player game are two different beasts
I think the narrative elements in are good, even Ultima, but the way it's structured is weird.
I don't think that's the issue. If anything, I feel like he's way too much of a people pleaser. It's like he wants everyone's experience with the story to be a exciting and pleasant one, but for a story that presents itself as "gritty" and "mature" story, I feel like you gotta have something to say to justify all that shit.
The story feels like it's deathly afraid to confront, or even ask anything of the player/audience, which is fricking crazy since on paper, this has the most adult themes, at least on the surface.
Ok, come on, let's not go that far. Lunafreya, even with all the tacked on stuff, is still a non-entity. A fair comparison would be the rest of the XV posse, that's where the love clearly went to in terms of that game.
>Lunafreya, even with all the tacked on stuff, is still a non-entity
At least she had enough agency to go off and do shit by herself unlike fricking Jill who doesn't have anything at all without Clive
>At least she had enough agency to go off and do shit by herself
Nothing I said was incorrect. I never said she was a good character or XV was a good game.
She was a non character my dude, the game would have been the same if she wasn’t in it at all.
Dude I don't care I don't like Lunafreya I'm using as an example of how fricking shit Jill is

I was searching for the interview but I didn't find it, I found the interview where he says he first wrote the lore and then the characters.
https://blog.playstation.com/2022/11/04/final-fantasy-xvi-interview-worldbuilding-differing-viewpoints-and-favorite-characters/
What the hell were they thinking? I mean worldbuild is extremely important, specially in a game whose plot has political turmoil, but unless you are Tolkien or God himself while writting the Bible, characters always come first.
Your worldbuilding is useless without good characters.
Also, it baffles me that they would bother with compelling world building and the game doesn't even show that properly.
You learn the lore by talking to some boring ass npc in the hideout. Wtf
>"Sir, we'll not have a party in this game, only jill and torgal"
>"Sure. This means we'll have a bigger development arc for her and make her nuanced, right?"
>"Nah, she will be less developed than previous heroines that were in a party with 9 other characters"
I don't disagree in principle, but the execution was poor.
A childhood friend whose personality revolves around the protagonist can have other interests than just her traumas and her love interest.
She could have a hobby, like sweing for example, or feeding poor children, groing flowers in a garden.
Maybe she likes riding horses, or strolling in the forest, or she's very social and likes talking to people...
That and her role as the protagonist's ideal romantic interest are not mutually excluive, it actually makes her a better ideal.
They could have done that.
Also Clive is a fricking insecure pussy himself, always mumbling about his traumas of killing people - which we did not see by the way because the game barely shows anything about his years as a branded soldier.
She has a hobby she weaves dresses and stuff.
You can't see it in the MSQ tho, they only tell you in one random sidequest (one of the many bad ones).
Really? I don't remember that. I might have been so bored that I overlooked it.
I don't understand why Square even bothers with side quests still
Likes:Clive, Joshua, Rosaria and her people
Dislikes: Slavery, Anabelle, Iron Kingdom
Jill is a simple girl, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. She didn't want much out of her life other than to be with Clive and the rest of her family.
The thing is, i do believe that her scenes with Clive are really good. But at the same time is like she doesnt exist ouside of that.
It's not really that weird if we view this in context. The only good years of her life were spent with Clive, everything and anything outside of that was literally torture, after reuniting with him again it makes sense she has probably lost all interest in engaging with other people.
which is weird considering she was a princess
They're written as either traitorous harlots (Anabella, Benedikta) or pure virginal perfect wives (Jill)
Just like real life.

>tfw in old ff games benedikta or hugo would become your evil guys turned party members
Nah, they wouldn't have joined. They'd probably bullshit up a reason for Mid to inherit Cid's powers though.
I do think that older FF games would've used gav, mid, joshua and jote better
I agree. Benedikta and Hugo give me LeBlanc's Syndicate vibes if the setting of the game allowed more light-heartedness and humor. I'd love to see Benedikta's face when it's revealed Barnabas has just been shagging Ultima.
>Clive, Jill and Joshua were all very close growing up together
>Jill and adult Joshua barely interact
disappointing
Anon...
I know I just saw the second I clicked submit frick.
>FFXIV
isn't that 16?
It is, burgers can't into roman numerals
>fighting the magical Coerl in Rosalith with Torgal and Jill at my side when suddenly, Hugo and about a dozen men show up without any of the three of us knowing and capture Jill
SHE WAS RIGHT THERE FIGHTING WITH ME SWORD IN HAND AND ICE MAGIC AT THE READY
>not long afterwards, prison guards are sent to bring Clive to the courtyard to witness Jill's beheading as Hugo would watch joyfully from atop as I stood powerless to stop it. But when Clive finally gets there, the beheading is going forward anyways despite the fact the prison guards have yet to return with Clive
C'mon!
>oh and Clive is too tired after his fight with Hugo, who only semi-primed his Titan form to fight Clive even though he could've just gone full Titan and crushed every in a mile wide radius with Clive and Jill, to cut off Hugo's head when given three chances to do so when Hugo tried to attack the sword-bearing Clive with his fricking bear hands
You know, I this isn't the only time in the main story I'm constantly finding issues with out events play out. The choice of what they put into cutscenes, what happens in the cutscenes and what characters do and say has been bothering me throughout the game's main story. I'd also like to add that Clive is a fricking moron. I know they just took the Meteor-kun and added a little bit of backstory to him, but Jesus Christ is Clive dumb.
This game has millions of players.
There is no reason why you shouldn't help find out how to go to the other dimension in order to join Gaius.
To join Gaius, you have to find a way to communicate with the Warrior of Darkness early in the story. It's like finding Glitches. Pic related is how I implemented it in a videogame.
I'm currently waiting to hear back from Square Enix Support to see if the ff14 development team will give me religious mercy and just warp me to the other side instead of paying a monthly sub just to create characters mindlessly for years. (I've been trying to go to the next dimension in videogames for 4 years. It started in 2019)

Did anyone else find it odd that Bahamut did not use the spell Holy? he is the light eikon and that's the signature light spell
Sorry, they could only have him use Akh Morn and dive bombs because they gotta reference FF14
weird choice for bahamut to be a light eikon tbh
I'm so disappointed Barnabas and Dion never had any interaction even though they set them up as opposites and rivals on the battlefield
This cutscene was so fricking stupid. Only there because Dion and Barnabas aren't relevant until 40+ hours in.
More stupid is that they just exchanged their ranged attacks and frick off then you have titan punching shiva
Not so weird he trained the warrior of light class Evolution in ff1
It's a FF game for actiongays. I don't see the problem
IM GOING AKASHIC
Barnabas was right. Ultima was right. Mankind should just have been purged
Odin's massive tiddies are the best part of the game
Why did they give Odin a boob window? What was the purpose?
Chad genetics
He's a big guy
Only dominant to get a height boost had primed, Odin is for manlets
*half primed
>BRANDERS BRANDERS BRANDERS. HOOO ITS A NEW MORN BOY DO I HATE BRANDER. IMAGINE BEING A BRANDED LOVER.
Kek fricking hilarious is this supposed to make discrimination bad? It's hilarious
Yes. Did we also mention that discrimination bad?
>been playing game nonstop
>decide to take a break for meal
>let’s see how others are playing
>no decent let’s play uploaded
>surprising
>realize game only been out for 3 days
This is incredible. I don’t remember the last time I just sunk all my time into a game. Of course it’s been a while since a game came out on my day off so I can just play it non-stop. Hard to believe it hasn’t been been 5 days since release. Anyways, is there a good let’s play somewhere? I just want to see what others think of certain sections of the game so far
>Dion is an anagram for Odin
>Barnabus is kinda spelled like Bahamut if you squint really hard
>Dion is Bahamut and Barnabus is Odin
Why do they trigger my autism so?
lmao I thought I was the only one bothered by this
This game could really benefit from a sprint button and being able to switch enemy lock on.
>he uses lock on
Pleb. Also press L3.
this should be a main quest...
I’d come again and again, if you know what I mean
>and you've come again and again
wow, jill's pussy that good, huh? Or is it just a side effect of fricking nothing but your right hand for 33 years?
That pussy is perfectly shaped for him anon, of course it's that good, he fits in like a glove. Their elements even perfectly compliment each other like yin and yang.
if they do dlc it should make the other dominants playable and also include Leviathan and Diabolos
The only DLC i realistically see is Jill getting Leviathan and sailing to get her husband back
Diabolos could be a new gravity element
Another eikon wouldn't make sense in lore but he doesn't really need to be an eikon, just a really strong enemy or superboss.
>just a really strong enemy or superboss.
I'd be fine with that,
>Diabolos
Not happening, the element thing has no space for him
Why not? He could be a second eikon of dark
There are no second eikons is the problem. Clive was a very specific case to the point where he isn't even really an eikon.
I'm sure the devs will come up with an excuse
never doubt the israelite. Zoomers and Black folk already bought the game, DLC is secured.
>Thinking this failure of a game will have DLC produced for it
shittier games have had DLCs in the past
people who bought flopspoken collector's edition got it for free
I don't think it sold more than 500 copies as a standalone dlc
Game seems to be doing well and not majorly popular titles like strangers of paradise got dlc, I’m sure this one will be getting some as well. They probably already started working on it if we’re being honest, a lot of games start dlc development before the actual game even comes out and they know if it sold well or not
Still waiting for XV's final two DLCs. Any day now, right?
I want to cum inside Mid until I die of dehydration.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH I'M GOING AKASHIK
fricking xvi spoilers in my xiv thread. educate yourself you frickers.
For a guy who's bad at writing characters, I think he did a really good job at writing Clive.
Bro, at least some character needs to be good.
And i would say Ben Starr carries Clive a lot.
clive is alright, but i think it's more due to his va than to the writer
Only good character in this game is Byron, and maybe Gav
So was she controlled by Ultima the whole time I feel like she barely made sense as a character unless she was controlled or something.
>supposedly loves Joshua but doesn't give a frick when he dies
>when Clive tells her Joshua is alive she starts acting like she loves him after all
Like what?
She doesn't love Joshua as a person, she cares about him as a status symbol and tool.
Nah then she would had treated well clive in the timeskip

Not again pls.
So who is Clive's antagonist in the next dissidia game (copium)?
Either Dion or Barnabas
Dissidia has villains that aren't actually villains sometimes like Golbez and Jecht
Barnabas Dion isnt antagonistic against clive but you bet they can pull him as kain 2
Barnabas for sure
we need 1 more new mainline for another dissidia game. I've got a hunch next MC is female as a response from 16's outrage from trannies.
hope not. 13 was trash
Barnabas. He'll have a massive fight boner from all the strong guys he can fight like Warrior of Light and Sephiroth.
Why the mommy gotta be cartoonishly evil for no reason?? This is slander, mommies are gentle and loving.
I think it’s funny they wanted give an early game shitter like ifrit his dues but then they turn around and have fellow early game shitter Garuda job horrifically

Why are people saying the side quests bad?
because doomposters sounds very close to dumbposters
Virtually everything relating to the characters as actual people are relegated to the sidequests that people skip. Like Clive guilt tripping a little girl to tears
>Like Clive guilt tripping a little girl to tears
I mean does that even count as a guilt trip? He just told her the truth
Just got another one dealing with Otto and cid, you can really tell folks have no idea what they talking about when they say all of the sidequests are bad
The story from the sidequests is usually never bad, and will either give in-sight into the world or the characters, but the objectives are bad.
I was really hoping Clive was going to lop the head off the dude who was feeding bearers to wolves, but thankfully the wolves took care of him and his butthole kid.
The problem with the quests isn't the results, it's the fact that they're incredibly straight forward and didn't need to be quests at all. For example, hunting the stalker should've been a side quest, feeding the bearers shouldn't. In the same vein putting two functionally identical side quests back to back also cheapens the point
Love is illogical
Surely this wouldn't he the first time Hugo ever dealt with seduction? He's extremely wealthy and powerful, in a nation of merchants. He's never had to deal with hot women before? It's not like the guy is ugly
What is with this excessive fricking motion blur? its actually the only thing that I dont like so far.
How did Hugo find out Cid was Clive
>don't meet byron before the timeskips
>don't meet mid until after cid is already dead
Feel it would have been better if we had
Have any of you let one of those countdown attacks happen
Are Jill and Jote basically the same character, personality-wise?
Yes, the Rosfields have the same excellent taste in devoted slightly murderous women
>Hugo somehow captures Jill offscreen
How
She's useless that's how. Remember when Typhon attacked Clive and she just stood there and did nothing?
Didn’t Clive go to a completely different world then?
Before that. Cid attacked it even though he was dead on the ground while Jill did nothing even though she's a Dominant too.
Jill seems to be really bad at actually transforming into Shiva for some reason. Probably due to overwork, we really don't know.
Although, Cid was already transformed when Typhon shot him so he was the right call for that one. Jill has no excuse for the Ultima attempting to mind frick Clive part and Cid had to bail them out though.
I think the weirdest part is Jill just goes "hold on!" before Cid finally does something. Hold on for what? You weren't doing shit.
She's probably just super weakened from being forced to prime all the time under the Kingdom's clutches. She did say that she unlocked her powers by accident in the 13 years off screen.
>for some reason
Don’t the ironbloods basically force priming or some shit. Kind of makes sense to not be good at it when it’s always been done via threat or that priest shit
>Kind of makes sense to not be good at it
Cid says in a cutscene that priming comes naturally to all Dominants and it's weird Clive has trouble with it. Jill doesn't disagree with this (not that she ever chimes in) so we can assume Clive is the only exception.
Jill is obvious the type that doesn't like to fight if she can avoid it and the first transformation on screen was out of distress.
I mean according to Clive she primes several times during the 5 year time skip when the situation called for it because he couldn't but of course we never see this.
She's also very obviously much further along in the curse progression than most other dominants, even Tarja comments about the curse progressing a lot.
It's why Clive feels so guilty about not being able to prime.
isn't that only after the time skip where she was priming a lot offscreen?
That's when it's explicitly stated, yeah. But I got the impression even before that though that she wasn't in the greatest shape given how short the time span is from her being a slave and then getting her ass kicked by Hugo and Clive consecutively.
Not letting us experience anything in that 5 year period is absolutely stupid, they just handwave shit like "oh btw Jill was cool but you totally don't see it", "yeah we figured out how to remove brands but enough of that" etc
So how many kids do you think Jill milked out of Clive?
The more I think about it, the more it feels like the only point of the second time skip was to provide an excuse for a more established Hideaway without needing to show the building process.
>Not letting us experience anything in that 5 year period
you bet your ass there's gonna be dlc for that shit
Yeah the five year timeskip felt really dumb. Didn't seem like there was a point
Finding and building up a new hideaway after yours got destroyed would've been great. It's one thing I like about Dragon Age Inquisition
I really think there was no reason for the timeskip. Too little happens during that time for it to be of any use, and what does happen (like Clive rising up to be a leader) should have been shown
The problem is how the way she is sidelined isnt just happening in her Dominant aspect. The game is constantly putting her aside or taking minimal roles for someone who is as much as Clive in the story.
Jote and Jill probably have the same level of relevance in this story.
There's a scene where the ayylmao is just hovering over Clive, it's hand in his face, and Jill doesn't do shit. Cid who is literally dying musters the energy to stab it
>game makes a big deal out of fatally injured cid saving clive by stabbing typhoon
>when jill is right there and could have done it herself
It's very weird
I like how every nation has a different stupid salute
how many will rope
After they can't cope
Once the seethe does cease
Do they ever explain why the frick Hugo is obsessed with Benedikta? It's not like he's a dumbass, he's intelligent in every other thing else he does. Did he really think that a foreign spy genuinely loved him?
garuda pussy was just tooo tight
She whispered sweet little lies into his ear, and he completely fell for them. It was that simple.
That's the kind of question you wouldn't be asking if you had gone through that.
>waifu fricks Barney behind his back and is STILL in love with Cid
>goes on a self-destructive crusade to avenge a woman who didn't give a shit about him
>gets his hands cut off
>cuck fantasies of Benedikta getting the dikta from his mortal enemy
What the frick was Hugo's problem?
If Hugo was gay he would still be alive
He would die to Barny's wiener

Did Hugo ever succeed at anything?
Having a pretty cool boss fight
The quest that actually made me care for Otto
How is IGN this moronic? How do you miss the half dozen hints that Clive isn't fricking dead?
They're fricking game journalists. They probably didn't do the two side quests that add more fuel to the fact that Clive survived, and the fact that someone had to come back from that fight to write down the tale, and it likely wasn't Dion or Joshua.
wdym none of it happened it was all a story. Nobody had to "come back" from the fight because the fight wasn't real. Did you even beat the game?
Room temp IQ take.
It's literally just the Heavensward writing team doing the Heavensward ending again
Doesn't really work the same way though, HW basically had interludes in the form of Fortemps narrating from the book all throughout the expansion.
Hell, it even fricking opened with it. XVI doesn't have that framing device. This is closer to Frodo writing LOTR at the end.
Clive does narrate at the start and end, definitely should've had him do it a couple more times though, just to make the implication even more obvious for the morons like those mentioned in
he died, stop coping
moron
I'm not even saying narration in general, like in HW, it's explicitly endmarked as "from Heavensward, the memoirs of lord fortemps", it's explicitly meant to be an in-universe thing instead of just a monologue.
Stormblood's area intros are also kind of that too, with them being like, Lyse's journals or something like that, before they just made it a straight up non-diagetic narration by Emet.
FF already did this type of narrative in FFT and FFXII and we know that Yoship is a huge Matsuno fanboy.
What was Joshua even doing for a decade? Did he ever plan on saving Clive and Jill?
Granted I'm not done with the game yet, but after reuniting with Joshua it's weird that the game seems to be glossing over this. Did he think they were dead? Did he know they were slaves?
It's also weird that there's a secret Rosarian order of knights and they never bothered to save Clive?
>we don't give a shit about you if you're not the Phoenix
Holy shit it's an entire order of Anabellas
I think he knew they were alive but the game should've definitely had another section where we played as him. Honestly the game only letting us play as another person in the prologue then completely abandoning it is baffling tbh, it would've been a more acceptable kind of filler
Does Jill ever talk about the Northern Territories? She matter as well have just been Rosarian. She never beings up that she was a hostage
She mentions it a couple of times, but she was taken so early that she's basically Rosarian. She even prays to the Founder and shit like Clive does.
Do we learn anything about the North at all
Not really, no. There's some stuff mentioned about their war with Rosaria but then they got annihilated by the blight. There's also some small stuff about their history like their mythical first queen being protected by Fenrir.
Enormous wasted opportunity for her to transform into a good looking monster hot girl.
So I just unlocked Ramuh and it seems really technical compared to the other two Eikons.
Smoothbrain here. I only uses Ramuh for extra attacks on staggered bosses and switched it out as soon as I got Titan
It's just shit, I replaced it for Titan as soon as possible
>FFXIV
?
So the sole purpose of dominants was to create a vessel for Ultima?
apparently, I wonder if the eikons themselves had any sort of sentience
Medicine girl and the attendant is the same person? Future timeline shenanigans?
No? Medicine girl is a different character
>Literally the only final fantasy where people have sex with Garuda
>not even Garuda just a host
Who is Mid's mother
so now that the game is out is Jill a virgin when the MC claims her?
Yes. She explicitly says she was going to get raped but awakened Shiva before it happened.
>she was going to get raped but awakened Shiva before it happened
what stage of the almost rape before it got stopped?
cuz if rape just means vegana penetration this could mean she sucked wieners or got fricked in the ass which makes her just as worthless
Is this game good to play if I don't like FFTactics all that much?
When do i kill this b***h
That's the neat part
Nobody tell him
>mid and clive first meet offscreen
Weird, why didn't she pop up pre timeskjp
She was off studying
She kinda gets mentioned in a quest
Didn't you do the sidequest where you get the letter for the courier? Mid was going to school and writing letters to Cid.
Just felt an actual in person meeting would have been good, its not like anyone actually died when Hugo attacked
People died, just no one actually plot relevant. Just like when the Crystal Braves decided to shit the bed at the end of ARR.
The problem is Yoshi-P is a massive Matsuno fanboy but he doesn't have the ability to maintain political intrigue in the way Matsuno does on a larger scale.
seems to me like matsuno can't even do that anymore either because the ivalice/bozja storylines in xiv are dogshit
I'd blame that more on the fact that he had to try and make a storyline work within FF14 than his own inability.12 is evidence that Matsuno struggles the most when he has to make compromises for other peoples visions. If he's not writing what he wants he tends to either give up or concede in areas he shouldn't.
>"The Crystalline Dominion sits at the heart of Valisthea, built around the tallest of all the Mothercrystals, Drake's Tail. Many bloody battles were fought for control of this small plot of land due to its strategic importance, till the warring realms finally agreed to an armistice. As part of the peace treaty, the islands around Drake's Tail became an autonomous dominion led by a council of representatives from the surrounding nations—each realm enjoying equal claim to the Mothercrystal's blessing. No Dominant makes their home there."
Feels like in another game, the Dominion would be the secret bad guys, but they're completely irrelevant in this game. There's not a single major character from there
does she have a sex scene or any bit of skin showing more? (please respond)
Made to be raped by Clive and turned into his incestuous cum dumpster.
Clive is for Jill only
Jill is for loving, having procreating baby making sex, for loving and having as queen and living happily ever after.
Anabela is for raping and abusing, for breaking her brain with Ifrit Dick and bruising her thighs with thrusts, leaving her twitching on the floor collared up in front of everyone like a prostitute, her face used as Jill's throne while Jill shares tender kisses with Clive.
it's funny because this game is literally, LITERALLY a movie game. Half the game if not more is cutscenes. The game has UNIRONIC "cinematic dodge / strikes." The game has literal items that pretty much auto-play the game for the absolute most casual players. There's no strategy or skill involved at all in this game, you basically can't die. You mostly just spam the eikon abilities until they're on cooldown and then mash square and triangle with an occasional circle depending on the eikon you're switched to.
The thing is, i like movie games so it's good for me, but I actually laugh at the people who probably praise FFXVI and shit on games like TLOU or God of War which unironically require A LOT more skill to play than this does. You don't even have to think when playing this game because every boss fight has all these cinematic pauses, or the eikon fights which are literally all cinematic the entire way through.
I'm about 3/5ths through my first playthrough and I do really like the game but I'm also cringing a lot at the really poor copying of western fantasy tropes and especially just blatantly taking stuff from game of thrones to incorporate it into FF. The voice acting and dialogue is also no where near as good as I've seen it praised, I honestly can't believe it's been so widely praised because it's pretty awful in many areas, and the animations are pretty bad at times too. Compare that to a game like the last of us 2 for example, the quality of the voice acting, and the animations and the graphics still is greater than this game and it came out years ago and honestly I feel like it had more gameplay than this too lol
Regardless, I think it's a solid 8/10 game, just way too easy. Maybe final fantasy difficulty changes things? But I don't want to play it again once I finish, I see no reason to honestly.
It amuses me that the councils of both Sanbreque and Dhalmekia are comprised of the exactly the same stupid old fricks. Not exactly the exciting small council meetings from game of thrones
Yeah it was a clear attempt at political intrigue but came across as really flat. Kanver gets another "council argues" scene
what is Ultima's eikon supposed to be?
Ifrit is a goat dog werewolf thing. Bahamut is a dragon.
Ultima looks like neither.
Braska's Final Aeon
Ultima is Ultima
Ultima Prime is dragon-humanoid demon thing.
Doesn't lookk that much different from Ifrit, but winged and with a more anthro posture.
>imperial soldier who enslaves clive
>rosarian traitor who kills elwin
It bothers me they got away with it
>Give birth to two powerful dominants
>Your older son was going to frick a third one
>Throw it all away because your first boy didn't get Phoenix
What the frick was her problem
"Muh Status"
She had too many woman moments
>iron kingdom doesn't use magic because its a sin
How are they a threat at all, before they captured Jill
Bro, most people in this world don't use magic. It's just bearers and Dominants.
Barely anyone in the setting uses magic outside of crystals and the mages are the people that are turning into stone from over use.
it's for the best she didn't know Clive was Mythos
she would've tried to frick him next
I'm gonna keep it real with you.
Everything is fine in regards to the climax and ending and all.
But this thing about the end of magic is bullshit. Feels like the game is preaching you to get out of escapism.
Do what you have to do, give up your powers and shit. But ridding the world of all magic? Even transportation and daily conveniences? Come on, I fought to save the world, not to doom it into becoming IRL.
>clive's fake voices
Clive was born to be an actor
Byron and Clive in the inn is the best scene
What does she do again?
receive clives load.
She's Clive's tradwife.
pet character
Clive's emotional support wife.
Stands there while Clive + any other male characters discuss and perform plot relevant activities.
She tops lava that one time. Its actually hilarious how underused she is in the whole Eikon shit. People were thinking Garuda was the one to be cut, but Shiva actually fits the bill even more.
Arm candy.
Jote gets to do more than she does
Clive
clive's onahole
Why is every other hugo scene one of impotent rage
He got unironically more than 80% of the dominants. At least he did some things or had agency
>agency
Is that what you call getting his head stroked by a gay guy
Hmm, he destroyed the hideaway, got some cool bossfights. Had some dialogue scenes
Compare that than what Benedikta, Barnabas or even Jill got.
Hugo was at least a major antagonist for some considerable part of this game.
Dont misunderstand me, he is pathetic as frick. But at least the writers did something with him.
>Complaining about Benedikta when she radiated early game midboss energy and did it just fine
I think benedikta could've got more, but i wouldnt mind her death if instead we had focused in the other dominants. At the end of the day her death was only used to cause roid rage in Hugo for the rest of the game
So yeah, i wont say it was amazing.
She doesn't deserve anything more than what she got. You're just saying that because she's hot.
Nah, she's is insteresting because we dont really have any fierce female characters in the game who doent act like a cartoon villain like Anabella. She isnt good, but she also isnt a demon.
Benedikta is interesting because of that. We dont have many female characters at all to be honest.
The misogyny allegations are funny but the writing of the game doesnt help at all their situation.
We have
Demon - Anabella
Trad - Jill(does nothing)
And sidelined - Jote and Mid
Because he's hot when he's angry
someone post the screenshot of the review complaining about no black people
So I just finished the game, I did all of the sidequests and hunts etc. Or at least I think I did, every area shows that i've finished all the quests and hunts in them. Despite that there are two things in the wall of memories I'm missing, one of them is the final one.
Any idea how I get those? I can't see any sidequests that cropped up postgame.
Also the story is pretty good and I disagree that the characters are all underdeveloped, Jill is a little bit but the rest are fine, unfortunately most of the cast is locked behind sidequests for their characterisation and the sidequests are very unfun to play, but quite well written. I'm never doing all the sidequests again though if I replay the game, they're fricking miserable to play through.
>Man the Typhon fight is pretty easy
>Get nicked at the last second
Damn
It's funny how plain and honestly garbage Garuda's boss fight was in the grand scheme of things. Even Ifrit vs. Phoenix had a lot more going for it. You just fight some whacked out broad in the middle of an open-field. There's way more they could have done with the spectacle of it all, especially with what comes later.
Its basic tutorial Eikon fight. It does feel weird how slow/weak Garuda seems when you see some of the other dominants. Then Shiva shows up to remind you nah Garuda is still better than Shiva
Ramuh and Shiva aren't very strong compared to the others narratively because Cid was on his deathbed and Jill has the least combat training out of all of them.
I think it also ties into Jill was already pretty burnt out by the time she got out of the Iron Kingdom, like using her powers seem to be a massive drain on her, and it's even mentioned after the Iron Kingdom arc that her curse had spread.
Haven't gotten to the sex scene yet but was any of her body petrified?
Show her petrified skin like Cid did. I think her getting sick felt like a cop out for sidelining her randomly. I can understand a young kid like Joshua, but she is like high 20s by the end of the game.
It's a cop out, but we really don't know how much she was forced to prime during those 13 years with the Iron Kingdom, but the dialogue seems to imply that she was forced to do it quite often.
Cid was coughing blood from the simplest of his Ramuh tricks, Jill probably wasn't that far behind him.
Random thought - lets say post-game that Clive decided to amputate his petrified hand. Would he still feel curse-pain? Is it all isolated to petrified areas?
>Tired from fighting Cid while semi primed
>Had a massive fight with Clive who then proceeded to sap a significant chunk of her energy to acquire his own powers
>Benedikta lost her mind from a combination of stress and aether overload sending her into a state similar to Akashic
>A ton of Garuda's energy was basically dispersed on the nearby area in the form of Egis
She was completely and utterly gimped narratively so the fight reflects that.
Man this game in particular really highlights just how bad the Japanese are at writing. If the characters had a more anime skin instead of euro medieval I feel like it would have masked this better.
people trash talk Genshin but if FF looked like that or Granblue Fantasy Versus people would've creamed their pants.
nips have to stop westabooing.
I'm all for creative experimentation but sticking with what you know is indeed best.
Ifrit screaming frick all the time is very funny
I want the PC version already bros... I don't want to pay 800 dollarydoos for a PS5 just for this game. 🙁
You're better off not even entertaining the notion of buying it on PS5, the gameplay is made atrocious by its unstaled 45~ fps, or locked 30 with resolution still dropping to shameful 720p
I'm buying this game at full price on Steam when it comes. But on PS5 I wouldn't get it even at 50% off.
