You have more patience than I friend. I absolutely love Eureka but I've only managed to get like 4 weapons past Pagos, that fricking light grind is atrocious.
Oh, I found a spot to solo light farm as Warrior, I average like a light every 4 minutes, though it's finnicky.
Once I had enough crystals and ice for the weapons, I just focused on a light farm, only doing an NM if it was close by. Because the minutes waiting for a pull could've been another light.
God damn right, and it feels good to have good substats on the weapon. My main has 114 crit/det (after i300 sync) and 84 Tenacity for his axe. The max possible you can get for each.
My alt has picrel, Which is basically on par to his, maybe even better cause the skill speed gives her like .02 faster GCD.
Martialist + Bloodbath on Warrior lets me comfortably mass pull anything to farm Like the level 63 golems that mutate during the night, farmed those a shitton.
I do have a fully geared out monk on my main, and red mage on my alt. Alt also has a healer set but not a weapon.
I'm thinking of getting a full Machinist set done cause I love that job and it'd be fun to be lazy ranged.

The 84 on Ten/Det are a max possible single line roll from the smoldering crystals. There were two lines of crit to go past 114, and the skill speed was just 54.

They already released a statement that content happens at the time in which it is released. It won't cause any story issues if Krile dies in 7.0 because Eureka, for example, canonically took place in 4.whichever patch it was.
For example, there's a sidequest where you take a dragon to visit Tiamat in Azys Lla. If she's freed from MSQ, it ignores that when you start the cutscene and pretends you're doing it at that moment in the story.

It doesn't bring you back to life. Athena's memories and all her drive were inside the Heart of Sabik, and then they latched onto Claudien in order to have a physical body to manifest with. Again you see this play out in the BLM questline with Shatotto. Shatotto is 100% dead, but the copy of her stored memories are thorough enough that they can latch on, assert dominance, and have the whole personality of the original person in tact. Auracites also have reality bending powers on top of that.

With my endless knowledge of 3D and game art (lol, lmao), I'll chime in.
Come 7.0, they're switching over to PBR shaders. The sensible part of me would assume that this is a global change. As such, every material in the game, applied to every mesh or particle system in the world will adhere to that. It's not just something you wanna halfway do. In that sense, I expect everything to change come 7.0. The metallicness and roughness attributes should be reflected even in gear that isn't yet manually touched.
Same goes for lighting and foliage. The lighting quality and points are probably being improved globally simultaneously. Same for weather effects.
The things that will take longer than that? The textures for custom NPCs from expansions that aren't yet being touched up. Think of The Exarch, think of Hien, think of Yotsuyu, think of some boss in Doma Castle or Shisui. Presumably, the new way materials are rendered, the ambient occlusion, the lighting and all that will be present, but the manual touch will not. Uprezzed textures, manual fidgeting and fricking around with shader values, and possibly adding extra edge loops/polys (for humanoid NPC faces)

They can though; the graphics update is optional and you can toggle it on or off; keep in mind ps4 will still look the same as well

Now they haven't actually shown anything on this since the first reveal but I think we can get a good idea on how it'll look by peeking at the new zones and how much they have going on.

I know, but I gave a general suggestion of how it'd be handled. Not actually sure how far they'll go with scattering more clutter throughout older zones. Would be really good if they did (that Thavnair example was good), but we'll have to see.
Mostly, I'm just saying that if my knowledge amounts to anything, there will be some noticeable differents in area of the game. Just that not every area will have the same amount of manual love and care put into it. Improved lighting quality, PBR shaders, global weather effects, foliage, etc. are just examples of what I mean there.

This is so I know how early I should re-sub so I can flow from 6.x patch content nicely into 7.0
It's probably about 60-ish hours of actual story and maybe 120 or so hours to touch all of the content, but if you want to complete everything, it's going to take you months because of time gates. They aren't particularly egregious, but you do have Custom Deliveries, three Beast Tribes, and Island Sanctuary. If you don't care about that, if you consistently play for about a month, you'll probably catch up through 6.5 and have completed all of Pandemonium and Myths of the Realm on Normal.

Ququruka was sentenced to 100 years in prison and just went into meditation, but that's not normal for a Lalafell. He just used a black magic meditation technique to go into hibernation basically.

Weapons scale up automagically, weapons being racially scaled doesn't actually have a lot to do with why they're huge; it's why a roegadyn Samurai often has katanas the same size or even larger than the Dark Knight odachi "Odenta" that's equipped by a smaller race. Some weapons scale better than others, too, Blade's Resolve is a HUGE gunblade on smaller races, a toothpick on lalafell, and pretty proportionally well-fitted to roegadyns and hroths, but then you get Higan Shigan which is a very long katana already for smaller races, and so long it clips into the floor on roegadyns.

The whole facial structure is off, not just from the CG model, but from beauty and symmetry standards period. All the faces are like this, which is strange because the team HAS modeled actual attractive faces on NPCs, so it's a deliberate choice to make players look less than ideal.

Get the ZodiacBuddy and Sonar plugins to make your life substantially easier. Also yes relic weapons in ARR were a subscription trap, the nerf they received for completion in Heavensward was significantly lowering the number of mobs you had to kill on each book. All steps were significantly more arduous seeing as you couldn't cheese them, plugins didn't exist yet, player knowledge was low, and in general you didn't have many, many means that you do now.

Once you get past books and you're having to grind light for steps, by the by, you'll want to do unsynced speedruns of Aurum Vale, that's the fastest way. ZodiacBuddy will tell you if somebody's found a light bonus on some other piece of ARR content that can make it run even faster, though.
