Savage Criterion is too difficult, and you need to do Savage raids anyway to get the materials to get Augmented tome weapons anyway.

That was the original point of Criterion dungeons. Be a semi-hardcore version of dungeons. Now it's turning into Ultimate-light.

When people were promised hard dungeons, they didn't expecto r want 4-man Ultimates, not even hardcore raiders. They wanted some alternative to raiding for the people who preferred 4man content. Criterion is not that.

I only did the first one because I took a break when the 2nd launched and I haven't had a chance to do the new one yet.
Took our group maybe 4-5 lockouts to complete blind, if anything it's easier than Savage which is fine since we had bis at the time. I heard the newer ones are harder, but newer Savages are also harder than the first tier

Imagine, for a second, that Criterion normal had unique armor sets that were comparable to Savage gear - you get one piece of gear from each boss you kill every week, guaranteed. This change alone would make it one of the most popular pieces of content in the whole game. But Square Enix is too much of a fricking coward to do it because muh status quo.

Truly casual players prog the raid tier for the whole patch cycle. I know a couple of groups who never finished P8S, or finished it after the last tier came out. They never run out of things to do because they play so slowly that new shit is always around the corner.
Those people are the happiest group I've interacted with in this game. They raid maybe once or twice a week, collect glam, do roulettes and just hang around in the game. And yes, believe it or not, I have talked with people who genuinely enjoy the Island Sanctuary.
I bet you can do it with Zeromus wep and up to P11s gear
but up to p11s gear is all the gear except the weapon
9 and 11 are not really hard, 10 is kinda fricked even on reclears

Bosses are way harder, like Savage Raid-level hard (and this one is harder than the other 2)
Trash is less braindead and require you to actually understand what they're doing and to even (gasp) use your interrupts on some of them.
Rezzes are limited - only 4 resurrection charges at most.
