From one of the biggest video game IPs of all time into an obscure mismanaged failure of a series in the span of a decade. If you told anyone back in the Halo 3 days that the IP would fizzle and die, they'd laugh
From one of the biggest video game IPs of all time into an obscure mismanaged failure of a series in the span of a decade. If you told anyone back in the Halo 3 days that the IP would fizzle and die, they'd laugh
True, but that's in the past now. This timeline ruined the Halo series for good.
The Star Wars of video games.
SOMEHOW
fricking why? is the didact such an amazing, deep villain you need more of him?
say what you will about star wars and bringing back the emperor, but atleast he was a compelling villain, this is the equivalent of bringing the green guys from episode 1, 2 and 3 back
there needs to be some level of commitment to developing the lore or the 343 games will have no identity of their own. scrapping everything for each new entry is not good for a franchise
Absolutely. It's one of my biggest gripes w/343's Halo. Infinite was the most interested I've ever been in Halo's story since 3. But now it's all gone. They needed some kind of roadmap. A way to keep making Halo trilogies for the foreseeable future while allowing for experimentation to keep things fresh.
The way Nintendo (as much as I hate them) treats Zelda is a good example of what Halo could/should have been for Xbox. A game that FANS are guaranteed to love, is released infrequently and only when it is ready, maximizing sales is not the goal - it doesn't matter if it doesn't sell 10mill copies, it's purpose is to hold up the brand and ship hardware.
Every tendy knows that if they buy a Nintendo, then at least Zelda and bingbing wahoo will be good. Sony fans know that when they buy a PS, at the very least God of War and Spiderman will be good. But if you buy an Xbox, there is a 90% chance that you will hate Halo.
Why is that Microsoft? 343?
343's ability to take good concepts(story, gameplay, or otherwise) and frick them up so hard that people reject them entirely is genuinely impressive
They can't even design something as simple as a human gun correctly, they just take a CoD weapon and give it a cute nickname that's out of place with everything else in the series
Its because they pandered to lore gays like you. Halo was great originally because Bungie understood that story is just an excuse to setup cool levels and enemies. It all went to shit as soon as MS started whoring the franchise out with the books.
That has less to do with the lore itself and more to do with the fact that 343 are completely incompetent at telling a good story. It's not a bad idea to say, "Wouldn't it be really cool to make a game where chief fights with blue team from the books?" but another thing entirely to say "Wouldn't it be really cool to make a game where chief fights with blue team from the books?" and then proceed to do absolutely nothing with them by making them the most cookie-cutter, one-dimensional carboard stand-ins that are featured for a fraction of the story while you spend all their time shilling their shitty spartan OCs.
Disagree. Blue team from the books was gay as frick. The story of the original trilogy was just good campy fun. I don't want to and shouldn't need to read extended universe BS to enjoy the story. And the games tone never should have turned serious. The books and extended universe shouldn't exist.
>And the games tone never should have turned serious
you mean the entirety of halo 2 besides the comedic moments? or halo reach? or ODST?
Even Halo 1 had a pretty serious plot. I don't know what he's getting at.
I assume he means character-driven melodrama, which is a pretty far departure from Bungie's more action movie-styled plots
OG trilogy like:
nu trilogy like:
What goalpost? What game are we playing my dude?
There are plenty of valid comparisons to make to shit on 343, and you had to go and cherrypick ones with completely different story purposes, as if you couldn't find 2 scenes within Halo 2 alone that had wildly different tones
Really not making people think you're less of a homosexual here
Show me a cutscene in the entire catalog of Bungie made Halo games anywhere near as boring or cringe as the one I linked from 4. I could easily give you several more that are just as awful from 4 alone.
This is a new goalpost.
Pic
You're probably autistic honestly. Not even trying to flame you seem to be very literal.
>Kino story vs a bunch of lame book characters and cutscenes like this
You're too dumb to even understand what you're trying to say.
I've been saying I think Halo went to shit because 343 turned a fun campy story that existed to setup cool gameplay into a boring cringy overdramatic pile of slop that is also meant to sell a shitty extended universe.
The fun campy story thing is obviously moronic.
>halo 4 cutscene
the fact they copy mw2 ending still makes me laugh
>Make dishonest argument
>Get called out
>Change argument
>Get called out
>Pull the pretending to be moronic card and act like everyone should have known what you 'actually meant'
uh huh
>Kino story vs a bunch of lame book characters and cutscenes like this
Ahh yes, quite a lame boss fight compared to
>shoot guilty spark 3 times with a laser while he stands still and does nothing
Anyways, the entire point of this is not that 343 is completely fricking inept at writing, which everyone agrees on. The point being that it was 343's writing alone which makes nuHalo so shit, not the fact that the extended lore exists. And then we have morons like
shadowboxing because he can't fricking read, much less pay attention for any longer than 2 reply chains.
>not the fact that the extended lore exists
That is what we disagree on. So many IPs are ruined when the company caters to super fans that care too much about lore and want a cohesive narrative universe. It restricts what can happen gameplay and story wise and always devolves into increasing serious worldbuilding.
>Comparing one of Halo2's many light and fun cutscenes to one of Halo 4's many boring and tryhard dramatic cutscenes is a dishonest argument.
No those cutscenes are both representative of the story and tone of the games as a whole. Their entire trilogy's even.
>So many IPs are ruined when the company caters to super fans that care too much about lore and want a cohesive narrative universe.
Name 3.
League of Legends (Although there are plenty of other issues)
Halo (LOL)
Star Wars
>league
OK, true
>star wars
star wars was ruined by the removal of lore and the extended universe.
Alright Star Wars is debatable fair enough. I think we can all agree that Disney is the biggest factor one way or another. That said autistic super fans taking over an IPs lore and turning into super serious tryhard lore is a factor in many IPs downfall. But it is probably impossible to truly prove that is the biggest factor in any specific IPs decline.
>Star Wars
fricking what?
i dont know what is going on with it now, but last i checked disney did not give a rats ass about lore or consitency.
>League of Legends
I what possible way? It's a competitive multiplayer game. The lore has nothing to do with the game.
>Star Wars
I knew you were going to say this. Star Wars has the inverse problem of ripping a part the lore and making it incoherent to appeal to the movie going audience.
>lore never mattered in league
Maybe it matters more now than when I played it. I doubt it has done much to alter how the game is played, at least not to the point that the entire IP has been ruined.
Warcraft
elder scrolls
fallout
fable
>elder scrolls
elder scrolls has only done less and less with it's lore over time since morrowind
>fallout
also just bethesda ignoring established lore and timelines
>fable
idk never played it, maybe
Doom
Quake
Any Warhammer game
Doom is healthier than it has been since the 90's, and Quake is shit because arena shooters are shit.
>Warhammer
The whole selling point of this IP is its cohesive narrative universe.
>Warhammer
>the IP known for pulling out asspulls with every new piece of lore
>"cohesive"
Nah. Warhammer is the utter embodiment of "rule of cool". None of that shit is cohesive.
GoW i think is the most egregious example.
gears or god?
That wasn't even close to my point
You're fighting someone who agrees with you because you're too stupid to read, homosexual
Do you just block anything that wasn't marine dialogue out of your mind because you have a hard time following what's going on in the games?
>blah blah blah covenant backstory political intrigue blah blah
Man this shit is so boring. Remember when halo was just about shooting aliens? Loregays are to blame.
this actually was what most people thought when halo 2 came out, every kid was like "whos this gay lame alien I wanna play as master chief" they were wrong.
>That has less to do with the lore itself and more to do with the fact that 343 are completely incompetent at telling a good story.
The eternal mistake of assuming story is important of videogames
>It all went to shit as soon as MS started whoring the franchise out with the books.
so, before the first game came out?
Between 3 and Reach, there were 4 comics, two books, and an anime series released
Between Reach and 4 there were 4 books and a live action marketing tie-in web series
Google confirms this interesting. Honestly this just re-enforces my idea that was pandering to lore gays that killed the series. Under Bungie the books may as well have not existed. I'm thinking it was lore gays complaining about Reach not following the books that causes MS to want to stick to extended universe lore when they took over.
>Guys aliens are invading "hoo rah lets gem guys"
vs
>Oh noes my research stop everything so I can cry or the commander can be rude for no reason so the drama school rejects writing the story can feel like they contribute to society.
The funny thing about Reach retconning the book is that Reach still references The Fall of Reach more than Halo 4 does the books it draws from- and those books were literally commissioned as part of the buildup to Halo 4
The difference is that 4's is directly relevant to the plot in one scene that was also written horribly, whereas Reach has its own separate dramatic story to tell involving mostly unrelated characters
weird how that goalpost keeps moving
The story was always a big part of Halo, and Bungie is the kind of company that sees story. Like the plot was very involved in Marathon as opposed to Doom.
sees story as important
>cat poster is a fricking moron
Who could have known
Honestly at this point I just want a story about some Headhunters back during the Human-Covenant war. That or a video game adaptation of Contact Harvest.
Because modern hack writers all need their Thanos.
Halo's identity was military fiction that happened to take place in a sci fi setting with the dressings of Biblical imagery and references.
All 343 had to do was not frick it up. How can you not manage the simplest thing in the world?
The Didact is in fact somewhat cool outside of Halo 4, if a bit one-note
He's like an anti-christ mirror of Chief, where his ability to survive impossible odds was a curse that brought him and his species nothing but suffering
Why
Because that's how Halo 4(and the moronic follow-up comic that basically just had the same thing happen again) ended
I knew the series was dead the moment they let Greg Bear rewrite the Forerunners with this shitty ass book series.
Wasn't bad at all, though.
Literally peak, 343 did not deserve it and I'm certain it only happened because 4 hadn't come out yet and the series was still riding on Bungie's coattails
>Reach and Rogue One
Based on the Clone Wars animation paired with ODST, this is a quality comparison. If it is, I haven't seen the animated series or Rogue One but heard the former is OK and the latter sucked ass. Reach didn't suck ass in my opinion, it was OK but had the signs of an impending downfall.
How different is the DMR from BR REALLY? Both games are better when the equivalent gun isn't something you spawn with.
I guess I could also see this as a nod to the limited amount of decent Star Wars media.
Rogue One is used as the point of comparison for Reach in that image mainly because the bleak tone and the main thrust of the plot is pretty similar and people didn't like it as much as 3 so it's convenient for what the image is trying to communicate
Though if this was really like Star Wars, we would be getting a genuinely kino high effort prequel spinoff story about Noble team next year
Halo Infinite is getting better and it's coinciding with the fact that 343i gave more power to the community
It's not fixed until I can choose my colors freely and play as an elite
they need to fix the goofy physics and the vehicles too
>morons are going to pretend a once great video game franchise has fallen from grace like this hasn't happened to a dozen franchises.
>Inb4 name 3
Even you can name at least 12.
>Play as an elite.
Oh, you're one of -those- homosexuals.
Yes, I am. Female spartan ass is too small as well.
>fellow elite bro
we are a rare breed of based if i say so myself
Better in what way? The campaign was boring with a shit story and total lack of mission variety. Meanwhile multiplayer only gays only complain about it. Who likes it besides some random anons on 4chins?
>Better in what way?
Forge is great, and there are some playlists where you can play players-created maps, or even remastered maps from Halo 2/3. Custom games with unique modes and maps. The sandbox is nice when you get to play AR slayer on the new maps they've been releasing (I know a lot of maps are poo poo nonetheless).
They make free events where you can get some customization with new gamemodes.
>Day 1 problems like desync still there
homie I play with +100 ping on american servers where did I say it was the perfect game? I said it was getting better because it IS getting better
It's getting better but it's losing players and ranked gets worse and worse. Again kys. Failed game.
Desync is a smokescreen for sbmm and rigged hit registration
>ranked
So you're literally not a Halo player then? Figured as much. It makes sense why you wouldn't understand how the game works. And sbmm affects casual shitters like you as well because it's in social.
>So you're literally not a Halo player then?
>playing with br and thinks he is a halo player
why don't you go play colodoody instead?
>remastered maps from Halo2/3
You know what I can also do? Play Halo 2 or 3 and not have to play with the absolute DOGSHIT weapons in Infinite
I too thought the weapons from infinite were dogshit but after replaying it only the commando is trash. Also the bloom is annoying but it's in every Halo except Splitgate
The most unforgiveable shit was the boring level design in infinite.
I don't know why but Open world + Grappling Hook basically guarantees the devs don't even try for an interesting level design for fights.
Day 1 problems like desync still there. There's no way you're this delusional. And there hasn't been any updates in months. Kys
I'll only concede that they've give power to the community when those Black folk at 343 disable mouse aim assist
How did 343 frick something that prints money? This is oddly enough a parallel as to how Disney raped Star Wars. Households names aren’t killed on accident.
It was done on purpose
i remember halo 2's launch being the biggest fricking video game related event in history. mainstream news outlets were reporting on it, calling it the 'biggest entertainment launch in history.' it was mentioned in a massive adam sandler summer comedy ffs. it takes a sustained effort of abject failure to sewer something at that level
It all started going to shit with Halo 2 though. Really though, as soon as MS acquired bungie it was over. Same as bioware. The team that made the first game possible was slowly pushed out by unqualified hacks that knew how to play corporate politics.
fricking have a nice day
Yes, it was done on purpose. 343 Purposefully found people who hated or didn't understand Halo to run Halo. Their goal from the beginning was to shit down the throats of Halo fan chuds and make the series corporatized trash.
Why does this happen. It happened with Dragon Age 2, Fire Emblem, Diablo and the results never end up good.
Selling out. The endless search for the fabled Blue Ocean of mass market.
>343 Purposefully found people who hated or didn't understand Halo to run Halo.
The fact that they weren't fired after successive & ever more disastrous frick ups proves this.
Same as how any other decent thing turns to shit: Water it down by having people who don't care or understand the series manage it.
Halo 1 to 3 fanbase is in their early to mid 30s now at the youngest and early to mid 40s at the oldest. They have the most disposable income, but they also have the highest standards and greatest amount of scrutiny on tap they can use to make meaningful change.
Children on the other hand are weak and can be fed propaganda and turned against their older siblings and parents to act as ingress vector to make FRICK LOADS OF MONEY. Which is what 343i and Microsoft execs are after: a new generation of manipulated and easily exploitable fanbase that will willingly shell out huge amounts of dollars in support of microtransaction efforts with negligible amount of push back. Delivering a "Halo experience" to "Halo fans" was never the goal. Delivering a monetizable strategy that generates recurring long term revenue was the goal, and whoever was trampled in the process was simply collateral.
That kind of mindset and hubris is what leads to the leaked email where Phil Spencer thought he could just do an indirect hostile takeover of Nintendo and call it a career defining move. They don't give a shit about the fans, the community, or the longevity of the product: they want money and everything else is a stepping stone to the prestige and money.
So how much longer until we reach the final stage of this incestuous-cannibalistic process and see the massive die off and everything hitting public domain? Yea right.
>The biggest exclusive of its brand
>now multiplat, with shitty games from shitty dev studio and completely lost its attraction power
This is why xbox is a dead brand; didn't take care of its biggest IP.
In all honestly Halo 3 was basically a conclusion.
Imagine spending years of your life shitposting in a glorified subreddit for a dying franchise that hasn't been relevant for a decade and seeing even that finally succumb to entropy and lack of interest. Half the people in that thread are just repeating tired in-jokes to an empty stage. Frick me that's depressing.
This is just the process for videogames, sadly; constant decadence of old IPs as the new products are defunct in their inception unable to surpass the previous works of old
>mfw just playing Halo 3 on my 360
I don't understand the moronic mindset of smartphone era. If it's good there's no reason to move on, you can still get the brand new thing perfectly.
I'm just enjoying beating the campaign with skulls on Heroic/Legendary by myself
>playing games on meme difficulties
they got you good anon. it took me a while but i learned not to play games on difficulties they weren't designed to be played on
Halo was designed to be played on Heroic
This is literally stated in the menu options themselves
really only 2 is completely unfair and ridiculous on legendary and that's due to bungie running out of time to test it.
library is fricking ridiculous though i can't fathom how speedrunners do it.
>meme difficulties
The game outrigth says it's meant to be played on Heroic, you double dingus. Legendary is for actual challenge because Halo 3 is really easy
the game series was already done when that dogshit reach came out
Reach is the only good one after CE
Happened to Battlefield
Happening to Call of Duty as we speak
It's all rotting away
Call of Duty legitimately got an IV drip specifically because Warzone + Covid. It was a complete fricking accident it got popular again.
it is crazy how much i absolutely dont give a shit about any of the newer games, considering i literally play the first 3 religiously. I dont know how they managed to frick up every aspect what made this series so beloved, its like they lost a bet.
>halo 3 was 20 years ago
I saw it coming after I saw the same people that used to call Halo 1 their favorite game of all time suddenly call it gay when Halo 2 came out. I wasn't surprised the same people dropped Halo 3 only a couple months later once they finally got their realistic present day shooter with no sci-fi/fantasy elements in COD4.
Shit's fricking fricked M8. Microsoft should put it in the freezer for at least 10-15 years and fully focus on Bethesda IPs.
Todd must be promoted to "Customer" for this plan to have a chance
there is no fun FPS on the market that people actively play and it genuinely makes me upset
What gets me is how close they come
If it were truly irredeemable shit with nothing at all to like about it, then it would be so easy to just stop caring entirely, but there's always just enough to give some hope
Even something like that garbage fricking TV show still managed to have pretty good armor and ayys for a live action adaptation
Anyone else waiting for Halo Wars 3?
CA is dead
>Concept art for ship combat
>They fricking cancel it
I'm still mad
Holding out hope we get a good ship game someday
Sins of the Prophets will have to do.
It's not good enough
An RTS is fine at simulating larger strategic conflict, but misses out on the smaller scale heroics and tactical genius that makes naval combat in Halo enticing
Also I just fricking hate them
So all games are on steam sale..which Halo should I buy ?
halo died in part 3 and battlefield started in part 2142.
That's what happens when you give something to a bunch of talentless hacks who self-admit they hate the very franchise they were given on a silver platter
Atriox.
Back in Halo 3 days I thought it was gonna end with 3. Finish the fight and all that.
I don't think anyone really intends to kill a cash cow or a big IP, counter to what some people suggest when SW/Disney, etc. comes up. I think certain companies just think that if they just make some kind of close-enough approximation of the product they think people want and then dump enormous money and effort into marketing, the IP will just make money. And when it doesn't, it doesn't prove they did a bad job, it just proves there's no money in that IP (to them). Basically they either don't want or don't know how to make a good thing, but they also don't seem to notice that, or care
A majority of Microsoft's flagship titles are mismanaged. Within a solid decade they killed Gears, Halo, Fallout, TES and refuse to do things with the stuff they own.
Too many pajeets at the helm.
I like the more recent lore in the books, but the games are kinda clusterfricks that can't flesh out or commit to anything. Infinite was fun and did many things right, but it was also a confusing and uninteresting mess when it came to story. I get it that people didn't like 5 for a bunch of reasons, but skipping over Cortana's reign in the games was just moronic.
God I wish Arbiter wasn't stuck with that frick ugly Halo 5 design
The truth is that only the first game was ever good. Only online play zoomers will disagree.
>they'd laugh
no id believe it,
that is just the nature of things anon.
Halo 4 was the first step of destruction
3 had really shoddy story pacing and structure.
Reach had just objectively bad and unfinished writing. Bungo threw Halo under the bus in favor of Destiny just like they are now throwing Destiny under the bus in favor of Marathon reboot and whatever the frick that chink piece of shit Matter is supposed to be.
They slapped the title Marathon on their weekend project to attract attention to it. It's a PvP game with no campaign. Bungie is just a dead as 343 is shit.
>3 had really shoddy story pacing and structure.
I don't see a single issue outside the cutscene before killing Truth and Cortana mission. Only specific enemy wave placement here and there
>Halo 3 turned 16yo yesterday
honest opinion on odst and reach?
odst good
reach - if you told me 343 made it I wouldn't doubt you
Reach's gameplay, level design, character writing, music, and artstyle is way too good to be 343
>gameplay
lol
>level design
a step down from the trilogy
>character writing
are we gonna pretend noble team aren't just one-note characters? More importantly what side characters do you actually remember from reach?
The measuring stick was 343, you don't get to back down from this
>what side characters do you actually remember from reach?
Halsey, who is essentially the only side character, and this is not a bad thing
>the only character from the books
Fitting. And even then she's portrayed as unnecessarily confrontational just like in the 343 games, even if they techinically weren't her spartans she doesn't have a reason to be so b***hy towards them.
Meanwhile in the trilogy you had johnson, half jaw, guilty spark, captain/miranda keyes, foehammer, etc.
>IP is managed by dudebro programmers looking to make cool games
>Massive IP with an iconic trilogy
>IP is given to a woman
>Now complete dog shit, religated to “hey remember Halo?” conversation.
>If you told anyone back in the Halo 3 days that the IP would fizzle and die, they'd laugh
Not at all true. I remember it feeling final and halo reach was good but it was just an extension at that point. No one planned to be into halo after that.
Halo ended after Bungie stopped working on it
Why do you people jerk off the character defined by rampancy as a font of inarguable fact so hard
anon I'm a defender of humans as forerunners not being that important or interesting, but the lines from guilty spark were clearly meant to go towards that, yeah the games themselves were conflicted about the whole thing but it's pretty obvious at least who wrote those parts wanted it to be humans = forerunners
Different Anon but it was clear as fricking crystal that the humans were meant to be the offspring or continuation of Forerunners. That is not a hard leap to make.
Sure, that was the intention from most people at Bungie for most of their run
That's just different from the autistic "a character said this and I believed it so therefore it is canon"
Also weird how none of this type of thinking applies to all the weird shit that was in CE before they settled on a lot of the series' concepts, like how everyone acted like Chief was fricking dracula unsealed from his coffin after years as some sort of hail mary last resort
>You are Forerunner
Hmmm what did they mean by this exactly?
Never ask an internet janitor to write anything for your game, ever. Otherwise he will irreversibly damage your franchise and a bunch of bootlicking morons will treat it as gospel.
Now 343 Black folk are shilling on Ganker, grasping for straws are we homosexuals?
Your game will never be good, just like you will never be a woman.
No matter how shit Halo becomes, you can never take those years playing Halo 2 and Halo 3 multiplayer as a teenager away from me.
Halo 2 is and will always be one of the greatest games of all time.
I hated how slow & clunky halo 3 was compared to 2
2 really is the Melee of Halo
>He doesn't like minor jank in his games
Every good game must have some jank/clunky in it
That's Guilty Spark lines from Halo 3 iirc
It was always shit. From the voice acting to the weapons, sound effects, you name it it was shit. It also stole from James Cameron then Gaylo fans had the nerve to say Cameron stole from Halo. Fricking morons.
All they need to do is make Halo 3 2.
that was infinite, but they fricked up the campaign and the MP introduction
A lot of little things that 343 does with UI and player interaction mean that infinite can never really have the same sense of community 3 had, which I think is what a lot of people miss the most aside from just basic gameplay
You get what you fricking deserve halogays, just as you destroyed the og boomer shooters, the current battle royale zoomers are destroying your game. Feel the pain.
All they had to do was basically copy Halo 1,2 and 3 and make it slightly more “modern”. They took all the worst aspects of modern games and completely ruined the franchise. I’m 35 and played halo on xboxconnect (before Xbox live). I was a huge fan but I will never touch another halo game after infinite unless the original halos are released using the new unreal engine or some shit. Frick 343. Everyone there doesn’t deserve another job.
>If you told anyone back in the Halo 3 days that the IP would fizzle and die, they'd laugh
nah, i'd believe it. i was only 12 back in '09 when i finally bought a 360, but i had seen it happen a couple times. things change
This is what happens when you start making sequels to a franchise that already concluded, reach and odst exist because while microsoft wanted to milk the cow, bungie already knew halo was a trilogy and 3 was the ending of master chief story. Maybe next time if there is a next time for microblunder now that their console is irrelevant they should move on to NEW franchises or at least limit themselves to spinoffs, halo and gears were at their prime on the 360 early life and now they are at their 6th game and counting, total shame
>they should move on to NEW franchises
i hate when companies spend assloads of money on a new ip then try to force it as their new flagship. shit has to come naturally, fricking spend less money and i don't mean by cutting corners
>or at least limit themselves to spinoffs
the master chief fricking died in 3. there's so much more shit they could have made games about and as long as the quality was at least somewhere between reach and 4 fans would've eaten that shit up. it'd also be easier to get newbs into the series than with a subtitle instead of a big 4 on the box
>the master chief fricking died in 3
he literally didn't, he went into a cryo chamber.
Original games were made by mostly nerdy white men who were super passionate about the game they created. New halos are made by pink haired dykes or pajeets who don’t give two shits about the franchise. Microsoft is truly incompetent to allow them to continue ruining the game that literally saved them. No one would have bought an Xbox otherwise.
I can still find people playing Infinite for some reason, quick play and big team battle. i assume they are just casual hispanics though.
People have been coming back to infinite since the game's in a much better state and is finally seeing the kind of regular content releases people were expecting at launch
The real halo killer was halo itself
Halo CE - Reach, 9 years, 5 games.
Halo 4 - Infinite, 9 years, 3 games.
343 fricking sucks.
