It's good, but Baiken's theme is yet to be beaten
All of strives themes are slightly catchy on the first listen and then become clearly inferior once you compare their instrumentation to prior entries and are no longer blinded by le based engrish dadrock vocals.
The vocals get tiresome so fast. It was funny in Xrd and BB when the occasional theme had vocals that people would start memeing over, but when every single track has vocals it loses its charm. Strive is the only fighting game where I've had to turn off the music because I couldn't fricking stand listening to it anymore.
It's good but safe. Vocals aside it's one of the most GGXX-like themes stylistically in Strive. Plus it integrates elements of Symphony and Keep in Gates, which is neat. Seems like Daisuke falling back on the old familiar GG composition style, whereas so much of the Strive OST was him pushing to do something very different with mixed results.
That opening riff is literally Flash of the Blade
