Aggressively mediocre. Think Borderlands if there wasn't any gun variety, only one playable character, and the writing was up its own ass instead of merely stupid.
It's a middling AAA-priced shooter that came out during the most saturated month of last year (a year already saturated with big releases)
I don't care for the game personally, but sandwiching it between Baldur's Gate III, Armored Core VI and Starfield was so moronic it borders on sabotage
>more dog shit
Yeah those fricking apes have lost their minds. No way I'm renewing my subscription once this shit lapses.
lol
lmao
Im glad I switched to pc after ps4, dodged a bullet there
Oh, expect to see Ganker calling it a hidden gem soon
It's all so tiresome.
Never heard of Skul, might check it out. If the Minecraft game is that diablo clone might try it too. No idea what Immortals is but just from that poster I will be avoiding it.
Bad game, but at least we can comfort ourselves knowing we got a 12” BBC realistic dildi at home
It's just Doom '16/Eternal with more cutscenes and 3 basic "guns"(semiauto rifle, shotgun, the Needler from Halo) plus a bunch of crowd control spells and the odd movement ability upgrade. It's a very 7/10 game. It's not awful but they probably could've done more interesting things with a smaller budget and less emphasis on story.
There's no shortage of actually interesting boomer shooters which is its biggest problems as a full price AAA production.

I played Skul in early access years ago, it was an interesting little side-scrolling rougelite. Fun powers if janky, full of stolen IPs, and poorly balanced. Metaprogression was grindy as hell too.
should I give Legends a whirl? I tend to like action RPGs.
Skul is alright. It's like a budget Dead Cells with overly grindy meta progression. instead of weapons you get shapeshifting forms which is a fun concept, but the balance seems very poor on them
>action RPGs.
Its a console strategy game, a very bad one at that made for children. Im not saying that as an insult its just such a simple game because they designed it for children.
Just a heads up that the game starts with a half hour walk-and-talk tutorial with a black chick, then another half-hour walk-and-talk tutorial with a different black lady, and THEN you can start playing the game. Also the performance is absolute ass but maybe it's slightly more stable on console.
>the game starts with a half hour walk-and-talk tutorial with a black chick, then another half-hour walk-and-talk tutorial with a different black lady, and THEN you can start playing the game
this is the most CURRENT YEAR game I've ever heard of.
nothing wierd about it
there is no collusion
there is no mailing list or chatroom or any sort of communication between these journalists
stop being a bigoted conspiracy theorist
it's harassment to point out the games certain people worked on even if they had a list of said games on their site
just consume product and get excited to consume next product
i played Skul on the Switch a few years ago when i was obsessed with roguelikes/roguelites. combat can be fun at times but it's one of those roguelikes where the permanent progression is way too slow from run to run and the game doesn't feel like it gives you the fun options to play with nearly as often as it should. Like, i felt like i was constantly getting the shittiest perks/weapons/abilities in like 80% of my runs. i have no idea if they fixed this or not.
"free" feels like the only acceptable price point for Immortals of Aveum so... i dunno. If i wasn't already trying to juggle playthroughs of 5 different games at once, maybe i'd give it a try.
I don't understand how people came up with Immortals of Aveum and thought it was a good idea. How can that happen? Did business people and black woman dream up the game with nothing but empty business buzz terms?
>delisted
If you add it to your library you have it as long as you have psn. Yea it's not free but ultimately I saved money with all the games I played through it
Holy frick what a shit month. Skul is the only interesting thing on it, and i have never heard of it before. It just looks like the type of game that may or may not be a hidden gem, the mystery of which already puts it above the other two games. Worst ps+ month i've seen in years.
Well...
Honestly if they lowered the initial pricetag, focused less on graphical fidelity and more on giving it a more interesting artstyle and released it towards the end of the year the game would probably find some sort of audience
rollerdrome looked like a neat idea but the character moves in such a sluggish way. the sense of speed and excitement is kneecapped too badly for me to play it more than the 20 mins i did
>Rollerdrome
Dog shit. >Sifu
Actually fun as frick. I had been waiting for it to drop in price to at least $20 but it ending up a PS title before then. Literally almost bought it during the Holiday sale but I was convinced it'd eventually come to either PS monthly games or Extra. Sony is pathetic. They'll continue to throw out slop and the masses will continue to shovel it into their mouths and be thankful. I'm done with these homosexuals.
I haven't played Rollerdrome yet but it was a solid game to give out and it was literally never on sale prior to be added to PS+.
In case you missed the trends, most PS+ games are $10 value or below and they probably assume people will only play maybe $30-40 worth of the $60 they used to plop down for the "service".

Yeah I beat it after 2 days. The first and third boss whoop'd my ass but the 2nd and 4th boss were easy. Final boss was meh. Still managed to beat it under age 25. I plan to eventually playthrough it again so I can clean up some trophies. I thought about platting it but I heard that 20,000 score trophy is an absolute b***h. Currently finishing up Dark Pictures House of Ashes rn tho. I was honestly hoping they'd put Devil in Me or The Quarry as a title since I missed out and didn't finish Quarry when it was on Extra and I refuse to pay for "movie games" like Devil in Me...although I did pay like $5 for Until Dawn, which I still haven't played yet.

I minmax Sony hard. They deserve it.
I mean I'm not expecting $70 day one release games like Game Pass but my god there are so many fricking games that isn't literal slop that they could throw on there as a monthly title that I'm sure isn't pushing sales anymore. Off the top of my head: >Pacific Drive >High on Life >Wo Long >TLOU Part 1 remastered >TLOU Part 2 remastered >Spider Man 1 remastered >GoW: Raganarok >Cyberpunk 2077 >Atomic Heart >Bloodborne >The Order 1886 >Gravity Rush 2
I'm sure there are plenty of other games in between that anons could name that would fit perfectly as a monthly title as well. But instead they flop out slop shit like Lego Nascar and fricking Minecraft Legends and Destiny DLC, like cmon.

Also forgot to add: keep in mind that this is AFTER they hiked prices up and we still haven't seen an increase in quality of games...usually when people increase prices you expect an increase in quality of service no? If a restaurant increases its prices do you not expect better food or better service? What about if the bus or subway increases its prices? Do you not expect better service? Cleaner buses and trains? And this is also without even bringing up the fact that PSN just went down last week as well too. It's just a fricking joke at this point.
Is Immortals really that bad? Or just mediocre?
Aggressively mediocre. Think Borderlands if there wasn't any gun variety, only one playable character, and the writing was up its own ass instead of merely stupid.

Made by Koreans. Something to avoid much like Sanabi.

@671544089
No (You) for you, you mouthbreathing underaged bait shitter 🙂
>work on a game for 5 years
>6 months after launch it's free to play
kek, kwab even
this is the worse month ive ever seen. im glad im not renewing my sub
I guess I'll give Immortals of Aveum a try, I like FPSes and nuSaints Rows wasn't nearly as bad as I expected for the price of free.
Just a heads up that the game starts with a half hour walk-and-talk tutorial with a black chick, then another half-hour walk-and-talk tutorial with a different black lady, and THEN you can start playing the game. Also the performance is absolute ass but maybe it's slightly more stable on console.

Can't believe g*mers killed single player games
Weird how they never make articles like "Suicide Squad proves it's a grim time for GAAS".
Stop noticing things.

>delisted
If you add it to your library you have it as long as you have psn. Yea it's not free but ultimately I saved money with all the games I played through it
*sony revokes your game licence*
whoops haha, no game for you
Never has happened so far
Holy frick what a shit month. Skul is the only interesting thing on it, and i have never heard of it before. It just looks like the type of game that may or may not be a hidden gem, the mystery of which already puts it above the other two games. Worst ps+ month i've seen in years.

Good lord how badly did it bomb that EA just accepted the lowest tier of psplus pay.
Well...
Honestly if they lowered the initial pricetag, focused less on graphical fidelity and more on giving it a more interesting artstyle and released it towards the end of the year the game would probably find some sort of audience
Nah. Nobody wants quippy apes.
they really want the game to flop and they will never learn
I bought Minecraft Legends on release and I can assure you it isnt even worth having in your library for free.
what's with of the utter slopshit that comes out always being GAME: Legends
>Minecraft: Legends
>XCom: Legends
>Magic: Legends
any others?
Elder Scroll Legends was the shitty card game they made right?
Gauntlet legends is alright
Apex Legends
League of Legends
I'm ashamed to admit I spent 60 bucks for Immortals of Aveum when it came out.
Is it any good anon?
It's not bad at all. Gameplay is decent. Think a slower doom but using spells and shit.
thanks anon might give it a try
It sucks but not surprising after giving us Rollerdrome and Sifu.
rollerdrome looked like a neat idea but the character moves in such a sluggish way. the sense of speed and excitement is kneecapped too badly for me to play it more than the 20 mins i did

Based. I'm in the same boat with Sifu, been curious about it since it came out but never felt like buying it. I'm having a great time with it.

Minecraft Legends is unironically the best game there.
Also holy shit stop paying for this trash "service".
surprise surprise more cheap trash well at least ps plus costs more!
