My 3DS is bugging me for an update. Is it safe to do?
Also I need to update my Luma. My Luma updater isn't working properly for some reason.
Update all the firmware first then do the update. It's probably safe.
Then again, at this point why would you even enable your 3DS's wifi?
At this point any update is just designed to mess with pirates.
So I don't need to pop out my SD card to move content onto the console, I can just use FTP.
It's pretty slow but less hassle.
Enable wifi after you enter the ftp app and it doesn't phone home to N
>At this point any update is just designed to mess with pirates.
Could not be any further from the truth, the last several 3DS updates have done jack shit to CFW
And Nintendo doesn't have any means of detecting hacked consoles unless you go online and use cheats in multiplayer
They've totally given up on stopping 3ds hacks.
exactly, so no one should fearmonger about updates being a risk
Update Luma first and then update the system firmware
luma updater has been deprecated
use universal updater or update manually
unfortunately, universal updater is pretty mid. still doing it manually via ftp isn't so bad
Nah I emulate this shit on a PC with hd upscaling.
Not portable, homosexual.
So what?
Enjoy your objectively gimped experience, graphics blown up to ungodly resolutions so they look ugly, and having to awkwardly switch between controller and mouse. Yeah I think I'll stick to my 3DS.
>phone
No controls.
>steam deck
Not portable.
>Enjoy your objectively gimped experience, graphics blown up to ungodly resolutions so they look ugly, and having to awkwardly switch between controller and mouse. Yeah I think I'll stick to my 3DS.
You've never emulated a 3ds before have you?
Also
>No controls
You can buy a controller
>Not portable
How's it not portable?
Thank you for confirming your moronation.
>How's it not portable?
It's literally the size of a small country. What are you gonna lug it around in a backpack?
Portable doesn't mean handheld you moron. A laptop is portable.
Where are you going where you will both have time to play a video game and also not have your backpack with you anyway?
If you want something "portable" then get a fricking GBA micro
That's what I did and it's great, thanks
DS Lite is about as big as a handheld should be
Problem with the Micro (besides not supporting GB and GBC games) is that the faceplate gimmick doesn't actually work very well. The plates are prone to breaking (especially at the tabs), the mechanism that holds them in place is also prone to breaking (which necessitates a lot of work to replace), and even while working the plates don't really do a good job of keeping dust out of the screen. I have one myself, but I hardly use it these days. I was using an AGS-101 that I had reshelled, but I finally got a custom GBA with an IPS screen. That's my new handheld of choice. I can't lie though, I have chinkshit handhelds that can do everything this can, plus numerous 3DS systems, DS Lites... etc. Still, there's something pleasing about playing on it. Also I like that it uses AA batteries.
I have a very specific question regarding it. I'd like to play Eye of the beholder and ultima underworld stygian abyss. Both of these are dos blobbers. I would really like to play both of these games using touch controls and since both of these games can be played entirely on a mouse they should transfer over to touch controls easy. Can this be done on the steam deck?
Oh wow, it's been a while since I've seen (You) around here.
If I wanted to game in public, I'd just use my phone or steam duck.
>duck
Nope. They're too small, and i can't find the charger.
Emulation is far superior than using those shitty conrols on that screen for ants.
>i still live with my mum and i'm not allowed to use the TV sometimes so i have to have my own portable bideo game system
Ohhhh poor Timmy.
>Emulation is far superior than using those shitty conrols on that screen for ants.
Learn to write and lose some weight fatass, then maybe your sausage fingers won't take the entire pad. Embarassing.
>durr i emulate dual screen games on a mono screen computer. truly the ideal way to play these games!
If only someone would write a 3DS emulator for the Wii U...
>You can't use software to emulate dual screens. That's not kosher of you
Cringe
this but unironically. emulation is soulless as frick. at least hack a 3DS and play it on there if you’re gonna pirate.
>Muh souless
Absolute cope, nice try
I emulate now. I still use it from time to time but then I see my screen and think "why am I playing on a 3" brick instead of a 32" with the ability to FF?"
Also my A-Stick rubber thingy fell off and it's annoying to use now.
>he doesn't have a vertical screen
Ror
Yeah. Playing etrian odyssey V.
Yup.
Playing through Megaman ZX.
This form factor is so nice for playing in public transport. I wouldnt even care if they rip it out of my hands
Nah I just emulate
I do but I've run out of things to play and plan to hack it soon.
You definitely should. There's no reason not to do it.
Not very often, about once every 8 months when I suddenly feel like playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky again.
where's a decent place to get a non-xl new 3ds? i still see them going for 200-300 USD on ebay
you missed the boat dude
You might be better off grabbing a refurbished one at this point.
I got my non-xl new 3ds from Facebook marketplace, some guy sold it to me for 80 dollars last year. Guess he didn't know how much these go for.
Either go on Facebook marketplace and hope someone doesn't know the true value of 3ds, or a Japanese product site that ships from Japan to USA.
get a japanese one, you can swap the region but just know it will mean you can't use the eshop at all
You can go online though, just need to make sure the country in the system settings matches the region you swap the 3DS to
Lost my charger unfortunately and not really worth it to buy another one. I really liked playing Animal Crossing on that thing
Can I have your 3DS then?
usb cables are like $4
Just buy a usb cable and use your phone's charger, they're like $1 on ebay
I have an original 3DS with that weird connector. Not USB
i meant those usb to 3ds cables you can use with a regular charger. They go for around $1-5
Yeah it might be worth it
More than switch, i am playing picross 3d
Yes, but the online is so fricking shitty for some reason, and it never happen to me until I started homebrewing it.
Some time, it works as well as it intended, other time, it refused to connect to internet as I couldn't go on Sudomemo.
sell me your 3ds
Bro I live in a shithole and have two. Burgers have no excuse to not own one at this point.
i have 4
you have zero
lmao
I have 4
Two are new 3ds xl (broken)
2ds (works)
new 2ds (works)
I regret buying the New 3DS XL over its smaller counterpart.
I don't.
I felt the same way but I course-corrected as soon as I could.
do the small New models have IPS screens? I only saw TNs
I might be wrong, but I remember seeing posts claiming some units had "better" screens than others. It was all a gamble really.
afaik, only XL models had IPS
sad
I own a N2DS and its baffling how my 15+ year old DS Lite has so much better colors
DS Lite is an anomoly. Probably the greatest handheld ever conceived by man.
Yeah, i do. I have a New 3DS XL and an original 3DS, but i find myself using the original more than the New, though i never found the smaller one in stock even when it was new. Besides that, great console with great vidya you can easily get for free.
nope. sold mine a while back.
I can't willingly subject myself to 240p resolution nowadays. The few 3DS games I want to replay I just emulate with proper resolution.
>"proper resolution"
is not the proper resolution 🙂
Somewhat. I hacked it but honestly I play most of my 3DS stuff on PC or Deck
>walking around picking up Street Passes
I miss it.
>go to first day of college with Street Pass enabled and 3DS in my bag
>think "this is college, nobody is going to have a 3DS"
>get like 30 in one day
I've got a 3DS but certain games aren't acquirable in my country so I recently got into emulation and have been playing Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl and it's been great fun.
I tried playing SMTIV:A since I liked SMTIV but that games just not as fun.
SMT4A has best girl tho
>died protecting this chick
>her entire gimmick is being useless and getting us into trouble
Eh.
Mostly only to emulate DS games through Twilight++, games that would be a pain to emulate through PC.
Those scratch pins on TWEWY really are doing a number on the protective film i had on there so i order some new ones.
Any YouTube tutorials you would recommend for installation? I wanna do the same for my 3DS
Anyone else get the weirdest eye strain after using a 2ds xl? Any time I use mine for more than an hour, the next day I wake up all I see are the lines from the 2ds display. Like everywhere, and it’ll last for 30 mins but while I’m awake after playing it I don’t see it at all.
my 3ds is hacked but imported sonipro and new love plus+ anyway
genuinely frick nintendo for region-locking it in the first place
New 3DS
>Firmware: 11.13.0-45U
>Luma: 10.1.3
So how I go about updating my 3DS so I can still play online? I know it's ending next year but my friend got a 3DS too and we wanted to play some classic MonHun online.
update luma then update your console
They're shutting down online services for the 3DS?
No, the top screen went to shit like 5 years ago.
Still the GOAT handheld for me
I haven't played my DSi in like a month or two and Switch in a year
I'm playing clover on ot right now actually
Anyone port the Sonic Mania decomp to 3DS?
Wasn't this already ported?
Oh that's right, it runs like shit, I forgot.
Load times are HORRIBLE.
I use my Steam Deck to emulate it.
Way more efficient
love me 3ds, hate me switch(its too fricking big)
im playing advanced wars 🙂
Any good GBA emulator for it yet other than the Virtual Console injects? Not being able to remap the controls is kind of a bummer.
I use Mgba and it works well for pokemon romhacks
Lastest version of mgba seems to improved performance a bit
Just a little bit
thread reminded me that I need to play through DQM2 with english patch
Yeah, thinking about doing another Kid Icarus Uprising run.
>3ds stops turning on
>buy new battery
>it doesn’t fix it
motherboard might be shot, aniki.
I'm considering going back to finish ultra moon but I doubt it will ever happen. I think I was just prior to it's version of the e4
yeah but I wouldn't play Sm4sh on it. I'd destroy the analog stick
Is there any reason to update luma? I had my 3DS hacked sometime before the they got rid of that pokemon picross method so I'm probably just behind by 1 update.
>taking your 3DS to work and walking extra far on your ciggie breaks for play coins to pay Charon in SMTIV in case I ever got bullshitted without saving
I miss it.
I'm using my nintendo 3ds alright
>will never know the joys of using the stylus
>will never know the despair of losing said stylus
You haven't lived.
I lost like 8 DSlite styluses but never the 3DS one. No idea how since the 3DS is far more annoying to pull out/store.
Not often, but when I do it's the small n3DS like in the OP. I also have a black n3DS XL and a Samus n3DS XL. Thinking about buying the SNES n3DS XL but it's expensive. I've mostly been playing my GBA recently, and thinking about putting together a custom Game Boy.
Fellow normal N3DS chad I see, got mine from the Black Friday deal
God I dread the day when I'll need to change the battery for it, since Nintendo barely sold N3DS specific replacements and the only ones to get are pure Chinesium
yeah it's my emulation handheld, been playing SMRPG and White 2 randomized.
I've got an old 3DS and recently hacked it. I understand that the new-3DS has more powerful hardware.
Will this be an issue if I only really care about playing GBA / GBC games rather than DS / 3DS games?
no, it only matters if you want to play more hardware intensive games like xenoblade
Does this mean I will be able to play (some) DS games OK on my old 3DS too?
Yup, the 3DS is backwards compatible, you just need a to make forwarders instead of installing crap like Twilight Menu.
kek, I was just about to install that as well
What does it mean to "make forwarders"?
Go to Universal Updater and search for ndsForwarder. It's an app that let's you add shortcuts to you DS games on the 3DS homescreen, but you do need to have Twilightmenu installed iirc .
Sweet, thanks man.
🙂
>you just need a to make forwarders instead of installing crap like Twilight Menu.
quick rundown?
Rec me some good DS games, I'm into JRPGs mostly but I just want some classics to DL
Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and Zelda: Spirit Tracks are pretty decent.
Radiant Historia.
To follow up on this, the 3DS version is a meme and you should play the original DS one. On top of falling into the usual new perfect ending nonsense of Atlus's "New Girl Edition" re-releases they also make a bunch of unnecessary changes
>EXP and gold earned from battle are both decresed
>Prices of items in the shops are increased
>The aforementioned changes are in place because there are two DLC items that double these, and they want you to pay up
>Rest of DLC is either hot springs bullshit or minor interactions between various characters
>A new bonus dungeon with its own currency (that disappears if you don't spend it on the trip its earned) and item shop offsets the higher gold prices somewhat
>No dual audio
>Character art is different and mostly inferior, particularly with the character Eruca who goes from a short-haired freedom fighter to a Disney princess, which is out of place even if she's actually a princess.
TWEWY
Ghost Trick
Ace Attorney series
Castlevanias
Pokemon HG/SS and Black and white-black and white 2
Sonic: Brotherhood Chronicles
Strange Journey
Inazuma Eleven
These are the best JRPGs on the DS
>Sonic: Brotherhood Chronicles
>Sonic: Brotherhood Chronicles
If you got an actual working DS then do yourself a favor and play The world ends with you on original hardware.
NTA, but what are the differences between the DS version and the Switch version? Any major differences between them? I’ve had my eye on TWEWY for a while so I’m interested
im not him either but the dual screen combat is completely unique to twewy as well as being relevant to the themes of the game. there's also sort of a ludo aspect to it where as you get more accustomed to the weird controls and combat the protagonist also develops and progresses through his arc
if you want examples that are less pseud bullshit and more concrete, you only control one character in the switch version, and some attacks require using the microphone. in the switch version those attacks have a lot of overlap with other inputs which otherwise aren't an issue on DS
Super Robot Wars Endless Frontier.
Also, the sequel Mugen no Frontier EXCEED got a fan translation patch a couple years ago.
Nostalgia
It's kinda like Skies of Arcadia
Stella glow
Any of you fools use TWiLight Menu++ to play DS games?
what else would you use?
Old-school flash cart. I still have my AceKard 2i.
Ah so do I, I never knew they worked on 3DS
You need some sort of update to make it read properly.
Mine reads as "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian". It's also a little testy about getting picked up.
Truth be told this is mostly down to how I haven't converted my collection to TWiLight Menu++ (although I'd still need my old DS to play Guitar Hero: On Tour).
I use twilight menu idgaf, it just werks
no, mine got a bloated battery
I was so busy the last 2 years I didn't know Nintendo discontinued these. Now if I want a decent one I gotta get assraped on ebay.
My 3DS AC adaptor quit working in 2017 and I never got aroubd to buying another one. Oops.
i just sent my 2ds xl in to nintendo for repairs
i hope they dont figure out that it's softmodded, h-haha...
Of course. It was a great system and still has some fun exclusives
any of you install the japanese keyboard?
does it frick anything up?
nope but i use citra + this
Hey! I have this and citra. Works pretty great. Have a few other emulators mainly for psp. Very comfy.
'tis the season, lads.
Thank you for the reminder, fren.
Playing through Oracle of Ages linked save.
funny you should say that. i've recently opened my 3DS again after maybe 3-4 years of non usage and suprisingly it still has 3/4 of its battery.
the a button doesnt work half the time and the rubber cap on the analog stick has dissipated
Nah, charging port is half-dead and I'm scared playing the console too much will kill it. It held a LONG time but yeah.
Is Citra alright? The one game I tried on it the cutscenes lagged like frick.
Works on my PC at least. Despite all the devs moving to Yuzu it keeps improving.
>SO MUCH FOR STEALTH
No I bought a Steam Deck
We all make mistakes, anon.
I haven't for a while, hell I only really still use it because I haven't figured out how to put citra on my steam deck, in the event that I did, I wouldn't bother with even turning it on.
Oh wait, do you not have to transfer shit from a real console to use citra anymore?
Where can I download DS roms?
Not for the past few days. Been wanting to get back i to muh ps3
It deserved so much better
Bought this game for a fiver when Argos was getting rid of 3DS stock. Still not played it. Thought it got mediocre reviews, is it actually decent?
I don't know what hacks you saw giving it medicore reviews, but it's a great game, especially if you're at all familiar with the Mana series
Are they still worth getting? Used to have a modded normal New 3DS and played through some bangers.
one of the best budget drawing devices ever.
hasn't been surpassed since
Are these things still absurdly expensive these days? Grabbing a 2DS XL or a New 3DS seems like it can't be done without spending exorbitantly.
Yep. Sold my old 3DSXL for as much as i bought it new.
Yes, these things are more expensive than a Switch Lite here in my third world country
Is it safe to update games if you have the latest Luma and Firmware?
Which one's better, N2DS or N3DS?
>Hrm should I buy the one with less features or the one with more features
The only difference in features is the 3D mode which is used by pretty much nothing
And the shittier build quality
Also no idea why people shit on the 3D, there's lots of games where I think it looks great. Playing SMT IV right now and the cutscenes look fantastic with 3d on
Shovel Knight makes excellent use of the 3D effect. I can't play any other version because it looks so bland in comparison.
n3ds or 2DSXL
N2DS has terrible speaker placement and build quality, but being able to access the microSD without screwing off the back is pretty nice.
Yes, It's just a basic 3DS XL though.
I'd like to replace it with a Dual IPS new3DSXL and a DSiXL at some point.
Never had one, never wanted one, but still have my DS Lite. Also have a GBA SP laying around somewhere
Not really much anymore, played something on it last year and my hands were cramping up like a b***h.
I have no idea how I could hold handhelds for hours on end even a couple years before that. Is a few years enough to end up feeling this decrepit?
no, the screens are ugly and the games are low res. i'd rather emulate them on my phone.
I actually use my DSi more these days. I wish they'd had taken DS content more into a count when designing the 3DS, as is it makes for a really shitty way to play DS games
same. ds game catalog is so much better than 3ds, i end up going back constantly. currently playing Orcs and Elves
New 3DS XL, i dont use it much since i got my Switch
i still use it once in a while but i just dont bother much anymore sadly although i'll never get rid of it
I need to get around to hacking mine but I'm too lazy.
God I wish I were
i want a n3DS but they are literally impossible to get now without paying insane prices
i got lucky as frick, i got a New 3DS XL for £140 in box, unused since 2017 with sealed cards, all the manuals, etc
still a lot of money but considering for what i got its usually closer to £200 and the only other New 3DS XL ive seen was literally just the console for £150 i got lucky as all hell
YOU HAD TEN YEARS TO BUY ONE
BUT YOU SPENT THAT TIME SHITPOSTING ABOUT NINTENDO
what a coincidink. i just dug up my n3ds today and updated all homebrew apps along with the firmware & cfw
any essential game recs?`ive played all the pokemons, skipped the zelda remakes, really enjoyed a link between worlds. not a big fan of jrpgs but ive been recommended chrono trigger so i downloaded that although that was released for the ds
no
I don't want to get brain cancer from the 3D effect
you have no idea do you
you ignorang goof
absolutely laughable
i would delete this post tbh
your the ignorang one, buddy
enjoy your japanese brain cancer
>ignorang
its like a boomerang only less knowledgeable
even if you are more knowledgeable than me rn
your braing cancer 3D effect machine will see to that
I hope its worth it
m8 I'm just poking fun at the word ignorang. I turned off the 3d effect on my 3ds years ago and have never used it.
it might already be too late if you looked at it
I've been playing pokemon gold on mine lately
which 3ds is the best one for hacking? Is there a specific model to get that runs some games better than others?
bump
bump
They all run the same firmware. Just get whatever one you like best.
I got a refurb Black N3DS XL off Nintendo's online store a few months before they stopped selling them.
>got the n3ds xl instead of the regular n3ds years ago
Should I just hang myself?
is there anything wrong with the new 3DS XL over the standard? i did get a standard but the buttons were broken and they said they lacked the parts to warranty it so they offered to exchange or refund and there was a New 3DS XL for the same price but with everything included like a box, manuals, VR cards, etc which i had none of with the standard as well as being unused since 2017 so i exchanged it for that which they allowed for some reason
ive not had any issues with it, its dual TN panels but i dont really care since ive never been too fussed about visual fidelity anyway
N3DS xl has
>worse screen
-shit ppi and sprite warping
>worse portability
>bulky if you don't have manhands
(Not a problem for me but I prefer smaller handhelds cause of the DS lite)
>feels cheap in the hands
tbf the N3DS XL still has a PPI of 120, better than your average, for reference a 24 inch monitor at 1080p is about 90
as for spritie warping ive never noticed anything in particular and the size isnt a problem for me since im 6'7 and ive got massive gangly hands
as for cheap, it feels different from the standard, more glossy and smooth whilst the normal N3DS plastic felt a bit like the old biege CRT plastics i found, but i wouldnt say it really felt cheaper
XL screen is noticeably worse than N3DS especially if you play standard DS games. N3DS has a ppi of 215 on a sub 5" screen.
ive never really even thought of playing standard DS games on it to begin with if im honest, i do have Twilight and a couple games installed but ive never really bothered since the scaling even on the standard N3DS i had was always crap to begin with
i do accept it is worse but it was hardly ideal from the start, far better ways of playing og DS games than the 3DS, its just an acceptable alternative really
You can easily augment effective PPI by holding the device closer or further away. Anyone complaining about PPI is moronic. I prefer the XL simply because it's bigger and the non-XL model gave me hand cramps.
>worse screen
It looks fine with 3DS games, for DS games you'll indeed need to rely on filters, some better than others (personally I think the sharpen filters look the best)
Playing DQ7 that made pick up a N3DS since that game has so much text and the font is kinda small for the default model.
So essentially your opinion is that it's bigger and it's made of plastic (kinda like the non-XL)
>...and typed in the resolutions for the New 3DS (800 x 240 and 3.88") and you get 215ppi.
...and the New 3DS XL (800 x 240 and 4.88") and you get 171pp
That's almost a 50ppi difference. Very different for handheld games.
>800x240
First of all, you are using the parallax dimensions.. The actual resolution of the screen is 400x240.
Second, it's really not that big of a difference. They are both awful in terms of ppi, especially compared to any mobile device made in the last 10 years. And you can hold it further away if the pixels are too big for you. I have the opposite problem in that text is often hard to read unless I hold it closer.
>just emulate the physical difference
https://files.catbox.moe/9h0g6n.jpg
>just emulate the physical difference
Considering the actual resolution isn't different, yes, that is what you do. For the same reason that 1080p on a 5" phone and a 42" TV have different PPIs but are designed to be viewed at different distances for the same effective pixel density. Meanwhile a 4K 42" TV would still have worse PPI than the phone but it would have 4x more resolution
I don't know why everyone who buys a non-XL has to justify it by shitting on the XL. It's like small dick syndrome. Just say you like the smaller one, there's nothing wrong with the bigger one
The DS Lite has a 3.1" screen.
The New 3DS XL has a 4.8" screen.
Any way you look at it that is not something you can fix with software and visual tricks.
>tries to justify it
I bought an XL and regret it because it feels worse than a handheld that was released half a decade before it.
>The DS Lite has a 3.1" screen.
>The New 3DS XL has a 4.8" screen.
I am talking about the N3DSXL vs N3DS. Dunno where the Lite came from, but it has a different aspect ratio so that alone will make the screen size substantially different. The N3DS was 3.88" which is an inch different than the XL. Again, if there were some resolution difference here, then ok, but complaining about PPI at such trivial differences just reeks of pedantic
And the DS Lite had a slick design. It was also light weight and very portable. The entire thing felt solid as a brick, too. The N3DS feels substantially cheaper in this regard. The edges are beveled so it doesn't line up smoothly the way the DSL clamped together. The exterior is much cheaper plastic, and the top display still wobbles on its hinge, solidifying the cheap toy feel. I honestly prefer the glossy exteriors of the XL because it feels a lot less cheap than matte plastic. Though it still has the same build quality issues.
>dunno where the lite came from
Look at the catbox link in one of my earlier posts. I use the N3DS XL to play old DS games, sprite and model warping is a deal breaker.
>sprite and model warping
I don't know what you think this is
My 3DS does not and is not warping
The DS and 3DS were my favorite gaming devices, I still play picross on them now and then.
I played picross like twice, what picross games you recommend?
Not that anon but try Picross 3D and Picross 3D Round 2
I have a deck now so no
I feel like I've played everything good on both the DS and 3DS, what now
Mod it and look for more.
Either try to find something via emulation (NES, SNES, Genesis, PS1, GBC, GBA) or shell out on some new expensive portable video game machine that you can use PC emulators.
so does everyone agree the 3DS was better than the Switch?
For handheld yes it is 100%
I wanna play The World Ends With You, is it rare or expensive? Or should i just jail break my old 2ds?
How is a hacked 3DS better than just using a flash cart?
Flash cart is fine if all you do is play games.
With homebrew you can do stuff like install TwilightMenu++ which allows you to emulate way more consoles or install custom themes with a built-in app browser
No, there's some frick up with my SD card and now all my games crash at launch.
yes, best console for playing Pokémon games. On the cellphone it's just not the same, I take them more seriously on console
which 3DS is the most powerful. I've been told that the first generation ones have slowdown issues with some games.
"new" 3DS
XL or the standard one?
both are good as far as performance is concerned
the non XL new 3DS is much rarer if you live in NA since it only got a release for some limited edition version
I bought one, hacked it and put it full of games but never play them.
My 3ds sc card corrupted about 3 months ago and I don't know how to fix it
Any advice
SD cards have limited life span of ~10 years.
Where can I find a guide on hacking them? I'd like to hack mine.
Just do what everyone else in this thread did and Google it
thats fair. I'll go ahead and look it up.
I'm playing bravely default right now as well as spirit tracks with the ds emulator. I'm considering what to play afterwards, codename steam became boring so I didn't play past scarecrow
>spirit tracks with the ds emulator
DS games play natively on the 3DS. It's not an emulator. The GBA VC games are also native btw
I see, I just assumed that twilight menu was an emu but you are correct.
No-one ikes the 2DS no?
I mainly play DS games off a flash cart and make music on it
using the Korg synth
I find the 2DS a lot more comfortable to hold. It's currently my go to 3DS.
I only have a base 3ds, how's playing Monster Hunter 3U/4U on the base? I know the loading screens are garbage but wondering if I should try get a later model for the circle pro or the nub thing.
>if I should try get a later model
good fricking luck
there are a whole bunch of them on ebay. they are from japan but I assume that doesn't matter.
As long as you don't mind paying $200+ for a used device that was never that much when new, go right ahead

Will my nip 3ds explode if i use EU charger for it?

Are you able to hack those and have it work with hacked games or are the nip 3ds' different?
how many people but me actually use the 3D
Eh, sometimes. Except when I'm playing Monster Hunter, then I always enable it.

I love it but I have the eye tracking model
