i live among commie blocks
its not affordable but at least its fricking shit
in the winter it keeps you cold, in the summer it keeps you warm, you cant move the walls, and the layouts are fricking terrible most of the time, they have anti sound proofing, and generally look ugly as frick
Old commie blocks have great sound proofing actually. It's the modern apartment blocks that don't.
Also they're very warm during winter months so I don't know what you're on about, they're designed specifically for cold weather and central heating. Not so good for hot summers.
They are ugly though I'll give you that.
America used to actually have urban housing projects but they were ruined by a combination of 'gros turning them into unpoliceable crime fortresses and NIMBY boomers not wanting cheap housing to make their houses worth less money
>NIMBY boomers not wanting cheap housing to make their houses worth less money
Sorry I don’t want a bunch of hoodrats loitering around the house that I paid a fortune for?
Eagleland is America. They just retconned the name for the sequel. But it's still a sequel to the first game, it's not subtitled Giygas Strikes Back for nothing.
Unless you have a convincing argument that there's actually two continents with the same exact shape on this planet somehow then you should shut your dumb mouth.
Mother 2 is pretty much a re-imagining/reboot/whatever of Mother 1 >Same archetypes of main characters (besides Poo) >Takes place in NotAmerica >About finding 8 melodies to stop an evil alien

or Mother 1 isn't canon (which it isn't)
your theory is really dumb. how can giygas strike back if he had not striked a first time?

the Mother 2 Japanese title screen isn't canon either

Giygas isn't the same as giegue, he's what happens after the latter one's defeat in mother 1.
[...]

would be a bad move.
Sure, it was a remaining and adaptation for the usa and snes (reason why it works as a standalone game), but it also completely works as a sequel.
the Mother 2 Japanese title screen isn't canon either
Oh, come on

they're the same, they have the same name in the japanese games.
giygas transforms into a being of pure evil after the bitterness and shame of being defeated in the first game

No, I'm aware of that. I'm talking about giygas (earthbound) being an adaptation of giegue (mother). Just different names for different regions. Reading my post again, I expressed that in a weird way.

You realize there are other... many other locations in Earthbound than "NotAmerica," right?
>Eagleland is America. They just retconned the name for the sequel. But it's still a sequel to the first game
So what happened to Ninten & Company during Mother 2?
Also >Twoson is the second city you go >Yet Threek is more near of Onett than Twoson >And somehow Twoson is in not-South America, And Threek in Not-Mexico.
LOL
>So what happened to Ninten & Company during Mother 2?
They're still there, but 10 years older?
Regarding the map, it should all be happening in a single region for it to make sense, but lol vidya logic
2 takes place in an alternate world
It was until I read this and other thread this week that I realized that there are many interpretations about mother's timeline
I think that all three games can fit into a single timeline without any issues. Even then, time traveling isn't even a video game logic problem, more like a pop culture one.
You would be jumping through hoops to make 1 and 2 work within the same world with your "everything is retconned" coping when it is more than clear that 2 is alternate. I don't care what youtuber is influencing you to think otherwise.

hey, calm down there partner, I don't base my opinions on dumb youtubers, and I'm not implying retcons
>I think that all three games can fit into a single timeline without any issues.
I tought that same (And maybe it still is), but there are some issues:
Mother 3 Nowhere Islands might not be in the far future, but in another dimension/Alternative Earth. Porky didnt just travel throught time, but also throught dimensions, and game says that he is trapped on the NoWhere Islands cut from other Universes, not just the past or even more far future.
And maybe another no-joke theory, unlike OP one: Mother 3 ending restored the Earth into a new one, Not the EarthBound/Mother 2 one but real life or at least the more similar to RL....MOTHER 1/Beginnings
But that is a theory
>game says that he is trapped on the NoWhere Islands cut from other Universes, not just the past or even more far future.
Wait, where does it says that
Cute pic by the way, I remember it from another thread

Leder says something to that effect. The phase distorter also travels time+space which we know from M2

Hey, you're right. Although I wonder if this could mean something else, but what?
And how does this theory

could explain giygas being present in mother 1?
I have a theory that female-to-male trannies have giant clitorises that need sucking

i have a theory that 'mother' refers to your mom because she sucks real good
IS THAT AFFORDABLE HOUSING 15 MINUTES AWAY FROM A GROCERY STORE
IM GOING INSSAAAANEEE
>Anon moves to Sukablyatnikgrad, Russia

o-oh we got a live one
Someone referring to a house as "housing" is a red flag (literally).
>referring to a house as "housing"
an apartment isn't a house
>affordable
Nobody tell him.
>Old commie blocks have great sound proofing
If you are deaf.
>15 MINUTES AWAY FROM A GROCERY STORE
A lot of good it does when there is nothing in the store.
Coyл
I have a theory that you're a moron.
show me a single place in america that looks like that
Never been to detroit, huh?
detroit doesn't have that much grass it's mostly asphalt
America used to actually have urban housing projects but they were ruined by a combination of 'gros turning them into unpoliceable crime fortresses and NIMBY boomers not wanting cheap housing to make their houses worth less money
the architect for 9/11 also designed affordable housing that would be used to radiation testing
Also car industry propaganda mindraping several generations worth of lawmakers and city planners.
Nah.
>NIMBY boomers not wanting cheap housing to make their houses worth less money
Sorry I don’t want a bunch of hoodrats loitering around the house that I paid a fortune for?
Housing should not be the stock market, sorry.
Seethe, rentoid.
You will hang from a lamp post so whatever.
Actually it takes place in Eagleland which is an idealized/parody version of America.

Wrong game, Black person

The game is not about them anymore.
2 takes place in an alternate world
you've sort of contradicted your claim of Eagleland being America by calling it Eagleland,
Seems to me Eagleland is Eagleland and you're a dumb midget.
Meixco is Threek?
They only call it Eagleland in 2. America is explicitly named in the opening of 1.
It can't be.
Hippies, crazed rednecks, and escaped convicts are all over, and the Soviets wouls never tolerate that.
But that's just a theory
Unlikely because Ness and his party are implied to have souls, something russians would never have
mother also looks like a commie suburb in Bosnia.
It's Sweden actually
>meets pippi longstocking
>gets lost in ikea factory
hmm you're on to something
Why does the building have a gigantic paper towel tube next to it?
>lifelong mother fan excited to play it for the first time.
admit it, you just watched a bunch of youtube videos on this title at best.
It's Japan, idiot.
