Really RNG-heavy without the use of seeds, it's good as a game to play from time to time but getting obsessed with it to the point of engaging in the same sort of dickflinging with the ascension tiers like it was one of those shitty esports-focused multiplayer games is odd.
Besides, the derivatives are cooler.

Honestly, it's not really doing much for me right now. I just picked it up early because it was my only decent damage option to carry my first elite fights.
I like or at least respect Slay the Spire.
But high ascension runs kind of killed the game for me. And now I struggle to enjoy the game at all no matter the difficulty level.
The higher ascension you go, the fewer types of decks remain viable. And go high up enough and you'll eventually pretty much only have one or two viable options. And it kind of makes the game extremely repetitive and sucks practically kills all creativity and variety out of the game.
I had fun unlocking everything and beating A0 with each character. But there's no way I could dedicate the time and effort it would take to beat the upper ascensions. Not badmouthing the people who do, if anything it's incredibly impressive. It's just the nature of a game with an astoundingly high skill ceiling
Is there some way the relic drop could be glitched on switch? i’ve realized i’ve literally never seen some of the rare relics in my 300 hours of playing even though i have them unlocked
what's a cool modded character that isn't broken
the only one i have played is cardcaptor sakura. it was fun but she like if i had two brain cells to rub together she'd be broken.
RIP in pieces. Despite having phenomenal STR gain and Reaper, I never managed to draw Reaper at a decent time, not enough draw power. I should have picked up that Dark Embrace early on perhaps.
Also I think I managed to get Feed on Fatal a grand total of... maybe twice at most.
Yeah, you should be willing to waste turns and take hits to maximize feed gain.
It may seem liek you are losing out, but the gain fro many rests or act transitioning will be huge.
With power through, sentinel and wild strike, you mneeded more ways to exhaust than sever soul and non upgraded true grit.
Some burning pacts could have tied this together well
Got the game during the steam sales and did a handful of runs, the magician girl is awesome even though i didn't understand half the mechanics I made it to the heart
game's fun
I don't get the hype for this game. I played it for like 5 or 6 hours, it seems like a completely random deck builder with just 4 or five decks to play with. Does it open up later or something? I definitely didn't get hookee even after two play sessions.

No, just because it's ugly as shit.
If you aren't going to have an actual game
>bbuh card games are games!!!
lol
at least make tour 2D images something other than an eyesore.
I think it's a pretty damn good game, and yet
is right. It's less aesthetically pleasing than flash games on Newgrounds and it's off-putting as frick.
nope, you’re both wrong, sorry lol
>digital card "video" game
never in a million years
Good morning sir
And I'm tired of pretending it not.
>slay the spire thread
After dying in A1, I'm just going to do A10 runs now. Guess I'll go with Ironclad today.
Act 1 went nicely. No AOE, so I'm probably going to die in Act 2.
I have never made perfected strike work. good luck to you if you can pull it off.

It's nice if you get a few pommel strikes which are amazing cards anyway.
It's usually more of an act 1 problem solver
Surprisingly few AOE fights in the rooms I encountered, though I did pick the path with as many ? as I could fit.
Alina of the Arena is the best Slay the Spire like game, and it managed surpass the inspiration.
>Slay the Spire is THE GOAT
Maybe one of the greatest. DS1 won the title of THE greatest of all time.
I like or at least respect Slay the Spire.

Just... don't play at higher ascensions? That's what I do, I stick at A10 and enjoy it as is.

why do you think anyone cares what you think?

Which ones? You know some relics are class specific right?
i’m aware. for instance i’ve literally never seen the specimen
Cards aren't games.
>2 hours worth of content
>but it's shuffled around and requires unlocks
>500+ hour playtime 10/10 GOTYAY
Worked for elden ring
>>2 hours worth of content
What the frick does that mean, you braindead moron
I'm not on the spectrum, so no, in good conscious I can't agree. I don't think I've seen anyone who isn't on the spectrum like slay the spire.

Some of the 2hu ones are alright. I think Marisa was decent.
Anyway, going into time fricker now. I think I got this.
Hermit is good enough he could be added to the base game
Either this or FTL are the greatest games ever made.
Slay the Spire is the greatest game of all time
t. guy who played 5 games before
>I have 2 HP
>time fricker has 1 HP
>no energy
>no cards
>tfw combustion
>win with 1 HP
Holy fricking shit.
Also, Eternal Feather is totally carrying my run, not going to lie.

Sure, if by game you mean slot-machine.
If it's so great, why haven't I played it yet?

You do unlock some more cards and relics, but the main draw to me is how tight and balanced it is. How far did you get?
That's underselling it
