If Meowscarada is 87.5% male, then why is it not called Meowscarado?

because the pokemon design team and pokemon mechanics team work in separate realities
>87.5% male
Oh no, why the frick they keep doing this shit?
So you can't easily breed and give out starters, same reason Eevee and the fossils have the same ratio
if that were the case, they would just make it so that the starter you get is gender locked to male
it should have been called Meowscaradx
Well I know what nickname mine is going to have
oh god
https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mascarada
How do you call a masked man in Spain?
Now, how do you call a masked woman?
Well, there you go. Enough with the mental gymnastics. Gamefreak doesn't even know what that bullshit party that you're talking about is.
moron. Do you think a "persona enmascarada" is always woman?
>GF doesn't know about masquerades but knows what "enmascarado" means
Seems legit
Un gato enmascarado.
Una gata enmascarada.
There’s no “persona” word implied anywhere in the name. Stupiest argument I’ve ever seen. I know how gendered nouns in latin-derived languages work.
You know mascarada and enmascardo/a are different things, right?
Sorry, was meant to
But according to you persona refers to females. So if a call a man "una persona" you're calling him a woman
That’s not what I said at all, stop being purposely dumb.
You’d never use the female adjective unless there’s a female noun somewhere, at least implied. Like in your example, the word “persona”.
But you can use male as gender neutral as well.
I know the word here is actually Mascarada and not Enmascarada, I was just trolling. But your argument is so fricking dumb that I had to answer you seriously.
The point is that just because a noun is feminine doesn't necessarily mean the thing it's referring to is female
so why does it look like a female
Because you're a furgay
The first stage (Sprigatito) does look like a female. But if you still find Meowscarada girly, then you need some help.
Delusional
>n-no it has to be based on my interpretation so it can be wrong
It’s one thing to be ignorant and not know what a masquerade is, but insisting on it to not lose face is just dumb
no one cares about your made-up homosexual party, spaintards
>nobody cares
Considering how popular of a concept it is in media, specially Japanese, I'd say you're wrong
Si no sabes cómo funciona el idioma cerra el pico.
Mascarada and enmascarado/a are not the same thing.
cala a boca hispanico filho da puta.
vai dá o cù nas suas festinha gay de mascara seu viado do caralho
HUE HUE HUE HUE
Enjoy Lula, you fricking moronic monkey
Eu fugi daquele país de merda faz tempo lol. Desses os otários que votaram no lula sofrendo lá de besta.
Mas eu sei que mascarada em espanhol é outra coisa, eu tava de zoeira irmão.
>how do you call
ESL detected
>pokémon conceived as female receiving a feminine-diminutive name shocker
It's not rocket science shithead, the whole franchise has evolved to market them as such, per Game Freak's instruction. It's why they gave the gay duck an name that conjures up female samba dancers, instead of male ones.
A mascarada is a part where people wear masks it's not about it being "feminine"
*party
Torterra and Staravia syndrom
He's a troony
>1st stage is called Floragato (gato = male cat)
>2rd stage is called Meowscarada
>everything is trannies
Gato is a neutral term for cats, moron. I know you've been brainrotted but masculine terms are neutral in grammar.
Gato is neutral but gata directly implies female
this cat literally transitioned
Where is "gata" in Meowscarada's name?
-a as opposed to -o
It's already been said multiple times the name comes from "mascarada" which is spanish for masquerade
And why is it not mascaradO?
Because that word doesn't exist.
Because "mascarado" isn't a fricking thing? A mascarada is. You clearly don't know Spanish so you should stop
Sounds like it's shit for women then therefore gendered
It's not implying gender, anon, it's a play on words like
said.
Gato is literally cat in Spanish. There is no adding masculine or feminine when referring to gender
what's funny is, the morons in spanish-speaking countries have been trying to defy the basic concept that "male" words are actually gender neutral and they want to either genderize all words or use the letter "e" as opposed to the letter "o". so gender neutral cat would be "gate", while "gato" and "gata" would be male and female.
it's like they don't understand their own language, it's hilarious.
It's what happens when your language is shit to begin with
hahaha, english is far worse.
Because the word is "mascarada", not "enmascarado/a".
Why are burgers so moronic?
Why is sprigatito not sprigatita
Because gatito refers to both male and female and gatita refers to exclusively female
The memes "it's male and gay" won't fly with meowscarada, simply because the duck is so fricking gay that everything looks like legit female next to it.
dumbest muttpost yet
To make you reset your game for an hour waiting for a female one.
joke’s on you, I got it on my second reset. but it had a shitty nature, so I reset like 15 more times and got a female jolly one
next time don't make a pokémon that looks like a circus transvestite
>what is Primarina
A mistake
Are we really going to do this every single time we get a feminine looking starter?
when will people realize that the gender % is for gameplay purposes and its not canon to the actual distribution in-world
>muh canon
Your Meowscarada will have a male symbol, you will fap to "her" and call it "she".
who cares
shut the frick up
>not resetting until she is female
weak
Exactly and even if the "natural" gender distribution was 87.5% male that doesn't mean the total trainer ownership of that pokemon would match said natural distribution. It could easily be that 50% or more trainers who own that pokemon have a female Meowscarada. While 87.5% of the Meowscarda (Floragato species line) is male in the wild.
Which would make sense since if the female is more rare it would be more sought after by humans who would keep more them. This doesn't even touch upon how many Floragato in the wild even make it to the 2nd stage evolution Meowscarada due to various circumstances.
troony Propaganda
Because she's obviously female coded like Primarina, and the in-game gender ratios are just a gameplay mechanic
Braixen also comes from vixen. If it looks female then it's gonna get referred to as female, I guess?
I think maybe the name refers to Meowscarada’s face (face being cara—a feminine noun in Spanish) rather than the Pokémon itself, so it’s like “cara” + “enmascarada” (masked) = masked face. Might be the case here.
