That's a very low bar and I'd argue chalice dungeons had more variety.
I liked chalice more because they at least had some sense of progression to them I guess. Elden ring dungeons feel like a total waste of time

No they didn't, you just traveled through actual template dungeons fighting bosses until the queen. The bosses could be unique but were more often bosses you already fought. Hmm.

The caves and catacombs get progressively more elaborate and confusing as you progress through the game. Some of the ones near the end are real head scratchers

I liked the caves... but crypts were to samey lookwise and they should have had more unique enemies beside the little stone fricks.
