Is this another thread where we pretend that James is an emotionless piece of cardboard because, despite his voice acting having an emotional range, his date PS2 model only had six points of animation? Even though they bemoaned this limitation in an interview about SH3, which is why that game looks as good as it does and has no pre-rendered cutscenes.

Not in the real world, but we can all pretend Gankeredditor zoomers are right for now I guess. Everyone here loves a good outrage over games they haven't played.

Is that supposed to the vivid expression you're trying to prove?
          You're literally proving yourself wrong.
Or just look at Maria in cutscenes. She's literally designed to be the opposite of his dying wife, and also plays the opposite of James catatonic expressions.

Fuck, even if people wouldn't make the point the James was supposed to be "down", people simply have different characters and some are more emotional than others.

And if you don't see that James Lynch isn't a completely different character, then you can't be helped.

Ah yes of course, James is definitely portrayed with the same level of exaggerated expression as the other characters within the FMVs, how could I have been so blind.

nah they were supposed to make james really sad looking on that save screen but they simply forgot to do so

this expression is perfect. james is emotionally locked because he is simultaneously both happy and depressed. killing mary gave him relief and guilt which are locked in a stalemate in james' head.

You see Eddie in sh2 actually being expressive. James is supposed to be detatched, he only reacts when he sees Maria about to be killed
Also nobody fucking screams while doing that pose, only Tommy Wiseau and Telenovela actors do that shit

Came here just to check if you're still copy pasting this nonsense.

You've been debunked in every thread.

      >pretend that James is an emotionless piece of cardboard because, despite his voice acting having an emotional range, his date PS2 model only had six points of animation?
For the 64th time: we're not talking about the models.
Even in the CGs every other character is full of expression except for James, who keeps his apathetic state except for the necessary motions. The only one who does that amongst characters full of expression.
The supposed emotional range in his voice you're talking about, is also way less pronounced than you make it out to be, and he's mostly speaking flat.

And that is because it's important to the story.

Stop being butthurt, and stop copy pasting your nonsense. And every single time someone proves you wrong, you just insult them and move to the next thread.

Silent Hill fans are the biggest perfectionists on the planet considering it's a clunky survival horror game. I mean, they get angry if it's made more playable or if there's even a pixel out of place.
I wish the Crash fanbase was that autistic about how bad the N Sane Trilogy was.

      Actually not true.

Most fans would be excited for this remake if
      >it wasn't made by blunder team of all Devs
      >if they hadn't changed James from an apathetic, dreamlike wanderer into a crying Hollywood actor
      >if they hadn't changed a scene like the rope puzzle, which was originally a just a camera trick, into an epic moment about sad man contemplating suicide
      Legit criticism.
