You'll have to go back to 2010, pick up an iPhone 4, and download all of the non-gacha games that existed back then. Then perfectly preserve the phone, come back to the present, and have a phone full of old games that may be shitty and also costed $1, but have no gacha autism.
They still exist as Deepsilver fishlabs but yeah, GoF3 was such an insulting slap in the face and you can tell it was done with nowhere near the passion as the second one and they generally don't seem to care, it's just a product of the marketing team, I can't believe I actually bought into it from the hype.
Though a lot of the developers made a new studio called Rockfish, the developers of Everspace 1 and 2, and you can definitely see the Galaxy on fire influences there.
Galaxy on Fire 2. Yes the HD version is worth it because the original looks like shit and the DLCs are worth it too if you liked the main game. Of course it's not on the level of actual desktop games but considering this is a 2010 mobile game it's insane how close this comes to a real PC game experience. In the early 2010s this was insane to have on your phone and it still holds up even though the limitations are a little more apparent by now
2048 (look for the F-Droid version)
Angry Birds 1 + all the expansions (pirate the apks)
Dead Space (is not a port of the original Dead Space, is legit a different game that happens just before 2, pirate the apk)
Final Fantasy pixel remasters
Dunno how hard it is to actually install them or if you can at all, but the Doom and Wolfenstein RPGs were top tier mobile gaming but because they were iOS exclusives of an age of software that Apple no longer supports, dunno.
For iOS, you would need an older device that is on an older firmware. Newer firmware/devices have their autistic 2016 rule built into their code to automatically delete apps that were part of the purge. >tfw my favorite mobile game was part of this purge and my old hard drive with the iTunes data got the clicks of death
Black Box technology. Stuff that is incomprehensible and mysterious is 'cool' to normalgays. If you can take something apart, you can learn how it works. If you can learn how it works, it stops seeming so mysterious and all-powerful. A large part of why Apple can get away with their absurd pricing model and obnoxious treatment of their customers is because they have cultivated an image of making devices that are so powerful and complex that normal people cannot comprehend them, and so when someone has n iPhone or Macintosh they feel like they are being given the keys to work a machine far more powerful than it actually is. Tickles parts of the monkey brain.
In effect, Apple stuff is like the big black slate from 2001 a Space Odyssey, and their customers are the monkeys losing their minds throwing poop at it and worshipping it like a god

t. android mf who dropped their phone and their battery slid across the room
this is especially stupid because the battery and back cover coming off absorbed a lot of the force when you dropped your phone, making it resistant to any real damage unless you got incredibly unlucky
t. used to own an S5 with an aftermarket backcover that had extra space for an double size battery
I wanted to make a mobile game when I was younger, just a simple helicopter flight sim that uses the phone gyrometer to move around. Basic vector graphics like Asteroids. Just fly around blowing up tanks and avoiding getting shot down by SAM.
I wanted to make it so you held your mobile in portrait mode, so you could play one-handed.
Apple homosexual toy bug people think this is an own when really you shouldn't be buying your phone for the camera. Buy a fricking camera for taking pictures. This shit is beyond me but I'm not as narcissistic as your average zoomer.
>why is it all gacha
Because in app purchases are literally two or three button presses away
Your phone even stores payment information so you can just click away and spend all of your money so the games are designed in a way that you will be coerced into doing so
Vampires Fall: Origins is a solid mobile game, simple enough to grasp and there aren’t really paywalls until the very ass end of the game
Then legally make me able to download my purchase in your store to my device.
You can't?
Frick You, dog. Never buying another game from you nor buying them from Apple ever again
What a bunch of morons. I had so much playtime on these games. Too much soul to be kept alive. Now you have to go out of your way to jailbreak your device among other moronic steps.
>it's just a bejeweled 3 port with all the music and everything >one time payment to remove all the ads, or just turn off wifi and block cell use and it runs ad free
i have spent hundreds of hours on this app. Not that it hasn't gotten stale, I just haven't found anything to replace it yet
its his game anon.
or he stole the webm from the anon in the game dev threads who posts it, I haven't seen this one specifically, so its probably him and his game.
if you play the original pixel dungeon sure, but you should be playing shattered pixel dungeon anyways. and even then, there are a frick ton of forks of the original game, each adding some new unique shit. you could try out the various versions and get variety out of them that way.
theres shattered pixel dungeon, into the breach and bloons tower defense 6 on mobile. theres also various vampire survivor likes including the original that are very well suited for playing on the phone imo.
There are better games out there but they're hard to find just by browsing the store (unless you have Play Pass). Google only promotes shit with ads and mtx.
Some of my favorites are Roto Force, Rusted Warfare, HyperRogue, Mindustry, Solar Settlers, Slice & Dice, Bad North, Militia, Path of Adventure, and Ice Cream Disaster.
backgammon machine
it's an ML powered backgammon. Set machine type to 2.1, it's pretty hard but fun.
Better than the other backgammon apps, especially the optime software one, which just gives the computer more doubles to make it harder.
Same goes for Iron Marines from the same devs. It's best to pick them up on Play Pass, tho, because otherwise all the good heroes and other stuff is paywalled.
Phones, much like PCs, are general utility devices, so gaming isn't their primary function, and most mobile games are more like a coffee break distraction than a proper medium. I mean, computer gaming was and continues to be treated like crap, and phones have even less going for them, because there isn't anything they excel at compared to PCs, home consoles and portable consoles.
Their biggest asset is being portable - you probably have a phone near you at all times - so you can do some rudimentary gaming wherever you are.
Yeah, but at the end of the day, the few good games I have are enough for me so far, because I don't play all that often, mostly when away from my PC.
I think most players also stick to the same replayable stuff, which is why good games aren't exactly in high supply.
No that's true, it's quite niche to find people who both want a deeper investment than candy crush, but also aren't already sated by real desktop games. Well, me and my friends on the train to school in the early 2010s perfectly fit that target audience for games that were almost as deep as real PC games, but perhaps kids these days don't do or care about that anymore
The only things worth playing are things ported from elsewhere but these touch screens are shit for games in general and touch screens in general are not a replacement for tactile controls so there is no such thing as a good game on mobile even if it's something that is otherwise acceptable.
Dozens at least. Anything in particular you want?

Just succumb already. We know you will.
i'd rather fork over the goy tax for a japanese vita than buying chinkshit that'll break within a month
There is nowhere to place you pinkies so they just hang off. Great console.
Pic related.
Kino.

t. android mf who dropped their phone and their battery slid across the room
Sucks that most phones today don't have removable batteries anymore.
The EU is working on that.
I wish my droid had a removable battery still
why are apple morons literally brainwashed into hating being able to change your battery?

There are exactly 2 good mobile games; You Must Build a Boat, and Desert Golf. Everything else has ads, mtx or is a port
I wanted to make a mobile game when I was younger, just a simple helicopter flight sim that uses the phone gyrometer to move around. Basic vector graphics like Asteroids. Just fly around blowing up tanks and avoiding getting shot down by SAM.

Also does anyone have any good suggestions for mobile games with controller support?
Yes it's called gameboy
Delta Touch(Doom engines including doom 3)
Zeta Touch(Build engine games)
Quad Touch(ID2)
Nuclear Throne
Hollow knight
Rainworld
Luftrausers
shovel knight
Amnesia the Dark descent
Skyline Edge(switch emu)
you should really find more about the world of unofficial /official android ports and emus
i would add evil factory aswell but that was taken of the play store with no way of playing it
>your phone vibrates
>there's a green bubble from that one guy in class

How would Ganker react?

Marvel Snap
Start emulating OP.
just emulate.
That's all you need. If you're not on a israelitephone you can even emulate up to switch.
They try to play games on this.
>laughs, stands up, bends over, points to phone
This is only for making calls!
>why is it all gacha
Because in app purchases are literally two or three button presses away

The Room series is pretty great. Takes advantage of the capabilities of being on a phone too.
>Can't play Infinity Blade anymore even if I bought it
FRICK YOU DOG PIECE OF SHIT.
Prease understand, Epic good, otherstore bad
Then legally make me able to download my purchase in your store to my device.

Pixel Dungeon is good but there isn't a ton of run variety
if you play the original pixel dungeon sure, but you should be playing shattered pixel dungeon anyways. and even then, there are a frick ton of forks of the original game, each adding some new unique shit. you could try out the various versions and get variety out of them that way.
there used to be a really dope Robocop game that played like a 3rd person view Time Crisis. It was dope.
Fantasian
There can't be a good mobile game since people refuse to pay upfront for mobile games and microtransactions ruin games by default.
>skyburger
>it's not the original version
The updated version suck(s/ed) ass. The original was really fun, however.
No there is not
Simon Tatham's Puzzles
Won't it make more sense to use your phone with steam?
idle games
theres shattered pixel dungeon, into the breach and bloons tower defense 6 on mobile. theres also various vampire survivor likes including the original that are very well suited for playing on the phone imo.
just buy a switch homie.
>80$ games.
nevermind.
>canadian
just use a skyline edge
Can't you just emulate Switch games on your phone?
Phones still aren't THAT powerful even if the switch is a weak console
There are better games out there but they're hard to find just by browsing the store (unless you have Play Pass). Google only promotes shit with ads and mtx.

My honest recommendations
O kurwa dink smallwood xd
homie Dead Cells has a mobile port, if you don't like that game then you're ultra-gay certified.
Kingdom Rush series are good tower defense games on mobile.
Same goes for Iron Marines from the same devs. It's best to pick them up on Play Pass, tho, because otherwise all the good heroes and other stuff is paywalled.

Their biggest asset is being portable - you probably have a phone near you at all times - so you can do some rudimentary gaming wherever you are.
Which makes it all the more exceptional when they actually do have some substance, because you're not used to from a mobile game.
Yeah, but at the end of the day, the few good games I have are enough for me so far, because I don't play all that often, mostly when away from my PC.
I think most players also stick to the same replayable stuff, which is why good games aren't exactly in high supply.

All the fun ones I had can't be played anymore because they didn't update to new IOS shit.
I've unironically had plenty of fun with cod mobile and diablo immortal.
>diablo immortal
I heard anons say that the game was trash but the community was nice.
The only things worth playing are things ported from elsewhere but these touch screens are shit for games in general and touch screens in general are not a replacement for tactile controls so there is no such thing as a good game on mobile even if it's something that is otherwise acceptable.
