If everything you believe comes from looking to the morality of your peers and authority figures, adopting it unquestioningly, and enforcing it on others, then you will never face the consequences of wrongthink, because your entire philosophy is based around denying wrongthink solely because it is wrongthink.

it's basically a tracking device designed to "predict user behaviour" and "infer cognitive state" by measuring brain activity, body signs and who knows what else

turn arround and see what collecting data did so far... did it ever improved any product? Helped any consumer on anything at all? and then see the news and look what it did to the far bunch of homosexuals and C6's with overdrive when they imposed on "how you should think" again... did that helped anyone with anything apart from being pushed in line?
Do i really need to give you a history lesson about data collection and idea implants? or a history lesson at all... Holy shit you are beyond saving.

So you admit that survey and vague analytics have improved products, and that brain and body activity is even more precise, and therefore would result in even better products.

I'm not him but you're a fricking moron (not that you're being paid to argue in goodfaith on your break right now) if something as simple as
                >Have noticeably different reaction to *something*, that stands out from what your reaction should have been
Somehow hasn't occurred to you. It's how lie detectors worked in the past, and despite those being seen as moronic and designed to incriminate people at random, some third world countries US included use them

(Fill in something with anything you want and it's another potential digital excuse for any would be powertripping government. Spend too long looking at that balaclava or crowbar advert from a hardware store after reading that news article about some local protest? Both of these have been noted.)

Giving the assumption that this is real, this is probably just one of those EMF readers that can read the EMF your brain gives off depending on how hard you are thinking but can't really parse that information in any useful way, and will ultimately damage it by compromising it by providing it to you.

Honestly, boycott any of these companies that aren't going to give any sort of incentives for harvesting your information and compiling them into human profiles. That's it in a nutshell and really the secret to all this information harvesting and how there's any value in it. They can unironically usher in UBI and have these data-harvesting stunts be the cost of it. They're already doing it anyways (like Google), so why not?
