This. I spent five hours today doing raids so I could get the tera shards to change my injected Pokemon's tera types (I had to inject them into SS and PLA then transfer them up through Home so they'd have legitimate home tracker data). That alone was hellish and I still got to skip most of the steps, plus two of my Pokemon are from gen 9 so I was able to inject them right into SV. If the phrase "dreadfully boring" is how someone would describe your game, you've done something seriously wrong.

It's not really that nebulous you're just moronic. He means that good Netflix that provided a wide range of movies and shows conveniently for a low price (which it doesn't anymore because of moronic bullshit like the account sharing crap and all the movies fricking off to those other coal services) was better than piracy for normies. And he's right. Another example is Spotify, I much rather pay them 6 (or 11 if not a student) bucks a month and get access to their wide ass library and all the other features rather than have to find all the shit i want on sketchy websites or youtube.

Please don't tell me you're actually LARPing as a different anon that magically knows precisely the moment he's talking about, since that's pathetic. Regardless, account sharing isn't some recent development so it's laughable you'd try and paint it that way. Netflix just finally had enough because it was overpaying for movies, shows, and stand-ups over the years it thought it'd make the money back on so started cracking down on already commonplace account sharing to attempt to salvage its finances. Netflix putting its foot down didn't mean account sharing was recent, it meant they were finally starting to hurt enough to address whatever was in their power to address. They already tried raising the price several times but obviously that's just a fractional improvement compared to making freeloaders pay full price.

Idiotic take. Breeding is super tedious so IV removal would be great. Just make us breed for Natures and use EVs for stats. That way nobody has to soft reset for a 0 Speed IV Cresselia or Enamourus. Just use a -Speed Nature and don't invest EVs. I don't know a single person who actually enjoys breeding unless they're shiny hunting and even then it's still mind numbing.

They made an objective of catching pokemon in PLA, so you can complete the dex, after all the story in these games is that you are meant to catch them to help with the proffessor local research. That's all your motivation needed to catch more of them, despite them not having different IVs. They already added caps, mints and else. It is the next logical step and would absolutely end all cheating forever.

They could just normalize them to 31 in multiplayer battles, the way your level is normalized to 50. Yeah, you'd miss out on things like +Atk Beast Boost Stakataka, but, as we saw with the loss of level 49 Pokemon to underspeed in TR, it's not that big a deal and people adapt to the new rules.

I certainly think so, although digital piracy and hacking aren't the same thing. Look at Clover, everybody's undisputed favorite romhack that does nothing wrong. On first learning about its anticheat I was disappointed and thought it meant the creators just hated their audience. This opinion shifted on reaching the postgame and finding all the convenient tools given to the player for EV training, level grinding, breeding, etc. The integration and ease of high level strategy is fantastic, the player can half fill a PC box with viable pokemon with only minimal autism and be justified in doing so. The PC transitions from a trophy shelf to a toolbox. Even better, there are enough challenges in the game to make breeding and grinding worthwhile; a stark contrast to official mainline Pokemon titles. 100%, I had more fun being able to legitimately raise my own 31 IV pokemon with carefully allocated EVs, arranging them into bespoke teams for each battle. Compare injecting, which is something I'd turn to more out of frustration and would qualify much of Clover's postgame as a trashy difficulty hack. Clover struck a balance for me between being attached to my team and being able to know they are performing at their absolute peak. I can hardly wait for the Battle Channel update (Coming Soon™). This is why I love Clover and think GameFreak could learn a thing or two from it in this field.

Difference is that rules in those games have reasons to exist as a benefit to the game.
Pokemon also has rules that benefit the player, but the genning rule ultimately doesn’t need to exist. Pokemon/GameFreak could 100% put a teambuilder in the game to allow you to make teams, but choose not to anyways.

Competitive Pokemon is not a test of how well you can play singleplayer Pokemon, just like how competitive fighting games are not tests of how well you can play arcade mode to unlock all the characters. That's not the skillset valued by the playerbase, nor by the audience whose money Nintendo wants in return for sponsoring competitive events. In every single other competitive e-sport players are given access to consoles or copies of the game with everything unlocked, by the venue, for the sake of convenience. It's literally only Nintendo and a tiny contingent of their cumguzzling manchildren fans that think any competitive player gives two shits about getting their teams "legit".
