Most romhacks are better than the best Pokemon games. Brand monkey gays seethe about this indisputable fact constantly.

What if I don't want to use Tera on my Kilowattrel? I wasn't restricted to only one Hidden Power Pokemon prior to Gen 8.

      STAB isn't everything.

      >when a move that has been in the series since gen 2 got cut in gen 8 for it to be rebranded in gen 9 as a gimmick

      >rom hack makes changes to movepools or base stats
      instantly dropped

What's wrong with Meganium for example not being outclassed by NFEs as a starter Pokemon for once?
Why not expand the movepools of weaker Pokemon, and not with worthless filler shit?

and what's wrong with it being outclassed by NFEs you fricking sperg? it's not competitive in any way anyway

Because Meganium is a fully evolved starter Pokemon you twerp. In my opinion, a starter Pokemon shouldn't have to be excessively weak. And it doesn't help that Johto was a piece of shit towards the Chikorita line.

I'm sorry but this should be inexcusable.

A Pokemon should not have its movepool fricked because it has a certain type.

there's no reason to think this way. it's totally okay for types to generally have weaknesses and strengths.

    >conveniently cutting out the egg move list where it gets weather ball for watery rain goodness
come the frick on, this is clearly meant to be a rain mon given that it has STAB thunder and hurricane.

Blame Game Freak's anti Johto bias. They don't value the Johto starters because they see Johto as a backyard to make KANTOOOOOO look better. Gatr managed to be a function pokemon water is such a broken type its impossible make sabatoge one, and its only competition is Blastiose so game Freak doesnt feel the need to actively gimp Gatr. Meganium has to compete with Bulbasuar (Masuda's favorite start), while Typhlosion has to compete with fricking CHARIZARD (the shillmon that created the concept of shillmons).
