Twintelle was the most likely option, but they went with Min Min. Other than that Nintendo have no notable black characters, nor do any adjacent games that aren't already represented.

Yeah Twintelle was the best option. Everybody else is secondary and would be a headscratcher over other characters (Balrog instead of Chun Li, Barrett instead of hundreds of other FF characters) and even if they went with Twintelle the thread would just say 89 Characters & Only One Of Them Is Black.
