I can honestly say joining a faction has harmed my enjoyment every single Skyrim playthrough. It's never worth it past your initial run.
Because Bethesda makes their “rpgs” and they don’t even deserve to be called that, like a roller coaster instead of an amusement park
There is literally no choices or real player agency
In fact my disatisfaction with the bullshit of games and “rpgs in everything but name” these days inspires me to want to make my own games
Unironically if everything sucks you might as well do it yourself
My Dragonborn smited this Black person with his 1K+ damage Dragonbone Sword. The Dawnguard and the vampires die by my hand (while my wife, Serana, watches gleefully).
>be vampire >walk straight into base of vampire killers >literally no one cares >walk up to their boss >"hello pale corpse-like stranger with demonic eyes. i need to send someone on a vital quest to find a magical mcguffin before the vampires do, and you look like the perfect guy for the job!"

why are the silverhand bad guys? it's never explained. it was also cringe how kodlak has been making use of the werewolf powers he's had for his whole life but then when he's close to retirement he then started having regrets, real convenient how he just gets to go to sovengarde for no price at all. why doesn't hircine have collateral that isn't voided by burning hagraven heads even post death?
>it's never explained
They hate werewolves, its literally explained >it was also cringe how kodlak has been making use of the werewolf powers he's had for his whole life but then when he's close to retirement he then started having regrets
He's an old man close to his retirement who realized he sold his fricking afterlife to turn into a dog, what else do you need? >why doesn't hircine have collateral that isn't voided by burning hagraven heads even post death?
Because its not *directly* Hircine, the curse was by the Hargravens, so their heads are the price
literally all of this is said in the questline, anon.
>>it's never explained >They hate werewolves, its literally explained
not him but that's fricking moronic and doesn't explain shit
They're literally bandits that hate dogs, how the frick does killing dogs and werewolves means they can get organized enough to arm each member with silver weapons and disease potions?
Dawnguard Black folk fight for the safety of the people agaisnt vampires and is sometimes supported by Stendarr worshippers or just the general population, and they have 1 fricking fort in skyrim.
Silverhand however have multiple forts outfitted dog/werewolf capturing and torturing devices, they eat dog meat for breakfast (one journal of a cook complained the Silverhand eats nothing but dog meat). They are also ballsy and smart enough to charge into Whiterun and raid a building in there. Shit doesn't make sense how a bandit faction can get that strong.
>why are the silverhand bad guys?
Because it makes things simple and clearly defines the good guys from the bad ones.
If you want to be good you joint he good guilds, Companions and Mage's Guild, if you want to be bad you join the bad guilds, Dark Brotherhood and Theives Guild, ambiguity makes morons confused and upset.
The Civil War and Parhanuxx is their attempt at neutral but even then it's handled very poorly and inconsequential.
Not wrong, the fact that Kodlak gets into Sovngarde is bullshit. People have been wienerblocked from entering for far less than simping for a Daedric prince.
Honestly everything about The Companions questline sucks, can't even finish it unless you decide to become a Werewolf.
they're mean to the werewolves >:(
no you can't join them, no there aren't any unique NPCs, no there's not a single line of dialogue, you will not get anything other than bandits with silver weapons
*raises paw*
The Silver Hand are racists who will stop at nothing to kill our Furry brothers and sisters 🙁
The only way is to stop them, so we can run free, howling at the moon as a pack >:3
Who said they are the bad guys or the good guys..? It's just two factions in conflict, the companions being honorable has nothing to do with being good, its not the same.
Why is it considered a dock against the Imperial side if you boot out Elisif? You are a neutral party and the Empire despises her and her faction. What can Elisif say? >Oh this legendary hero who hasn't picked a side told me to frick off!
Because Elisif is an Imperial figurehead just like her husband, and the Legion headquarters in Skyrim are stationed there as is the Thalmor Embassy, are you confusing the Jarls maybe?
Because Elisif is an Imperial figurehead just like her husband, and the Legion headquarters in Skyrim are stationed there as is the Thalmor Embassy, are you confusing the Jarls maybe?
it's elenwen, not elisif.
she is a thalmor representative. it's a count against you for the empire because she's part of the imperial delegation as a witness to see that the terms of the white-gold concordat are upheld.
it's stupid. tulius really doesn't like her. was going to cut ulfric's head off in helgen just because he didn't want the thalmor getting their hands on him. but at the same time, you are stepping in to say who they can or cannot bring to the negotiating table.
I still think the College has the worst questline, yes, even worse than the Companions. Nothing fricking happens at all, the story goes nowhere. >there are...events...events that will happen...doom and danger...beware >you are not ready...more unskippable dialogue that I read at a snail's pace...knowledge...corrupts >you have stopped these...events from happening...well done bro...
Jesus frick it's so bad
I honestly think the Dark Brotherhood was the only guild questline that actually sticks to what you are supposed to do, killing people and not forcing you to do unrelated shit.
Thieves guild? gotta sell your soul to Nocturnal.
Companions? gotta become a werewolf.
Mage college? can literally do it with only knowing one or two spells if that.
best thing would be divorcing story from advancement and bringing back the ranks from other games. being "the chosen one" for main quests and expansions is fine, but players should have the option to just be a high ranking, but ordinary, member of a faction. so there's a story questline in each guild, which can be ignored. a rank system.yoi can climb through skill improvements and busy work, and becoming the grand giga homie requires both.
>players should have the option to just be a high ranking, but ordinary, member of a faction.
Yeah that was pretty much what the guilds were supposed to be like. The main quest was for the epic story and the guilds were meant to be for roleplaying, doing mundane wizard, cleric or mercenary stuff.
>make a mage High Elf because i want to be magical >150 hours later do the Winterhold quest because i have to, not even care about what happens
Honestly, another point against it is that its on the other side of the map
>Psijiic Order can freeze time and want the Eye of Magnus >they don't just take it from the getgo saving everyone a multitude of headaches
Also how is bringing it to an island not far from Summerset Isles the heart of the Aldmeri Dominion not a moronic idea? Especially when the Dominion sees them as enemies?
It's the worst for me too, particularly because it seems shorter than the others, though Thieves Guild is also ridiculously bad. I don't know who the frick wrote this garbage but it's like it was written by a 3rd grader, must be somebody's golf buddy or something. I hope to christ they got a better tard wrangler for TES6.
No bro you don't get it! Serana charmed you the moment you freed her so you had no choice but to escort her. She also rode you like a bull to make up for her thousand years of abstinence, but you don't remember it.
I just play fighter or full mage archetypes and only join appropriate factions for them
Even back when Morrowind came out I never understood people who wanted to be leader of all factions and it's a shame Bethesda started pandering to these people
Every kind of character plays better if you avoid the factions. >Have to talk to Jarls and townsfolk to earn titles and deeds as a wandering warrior, no lycanthropy >Have to seek out court wizards and do quests for some of them to access training and spells for a mage, no psijic chosen one nonsense >Thieves must build up their speech to sell stolen goods, stealing merely aids your character until then, no Nocturnal pact >Would-be assassins have to seek out scummy characters who want others dead, or kill opportunistically like the wedding goers on the road
I can honestly say joining a faction has harmed my enjoyment every single Skyrim playthrough. It's never worth it past your initial run.
A vampire trying to block out the sun forever sounds really fricking stupid when you realize all life on the planet depends on the sun. You kill access to the sun, you kill the plants people need for oxygen and sustenance. You then kill the people who also absorb its magic and nutrients to survive.
Harkon really does have the most idiotic plan of any TES villain to exist.
It would help if any of it was explained or elaborated on in any way. I would like to think that since it's a magic thing involving vampire blood that it just blocks the "kills vampires-ness" of the sun, but nobody says as much and it's Bethesda, so you can basically assume it's as moronic as it sounds.
The only good implementation of religion on TES is wintersun mod. It'll be cool if you could chose your own religion, get a lot of boons from whatever god that we worshipped, and it will make your role playing better.
Cant have religion is the most wasted potential of the entire TES game considering the lore itself was filled with a lot of deities and such
Most Nords worship the imperial pantheon instead of Shor and Kyne like they're supposed to. That old frick in the mountains who sends you to kill spirit animals talks about it, so at least they acknowledged it, but still.
They do have their own religion. Whats inane and just completely silly is Nords making a big deal out of worshiping Imperialized gods while trying to sell the rhetoric of returning to the "old ways."
It would be like a cult leader proposing that humans should go back to their paleolithic roots to defy the US government but using guns and modern medicine to survive in the plains of Africa.
Maybe it’s my OCD or whatever but sometimes I find it hard to just shut off my brain and just play a game. All the stupid things just fly right out at me and I can’t help but point them. Bethesda quite literally just throws darts on a board for random ideas
Obviously I get that yeah people can convert but it’s such a fricking toddcuckmove to just practically erase an entire portion of a culture. It makes it all less unique and bland
I can guess from here in out the series will always be bland with just the le one religion that every race follows for some reason
Is that part of the O stuff or is that a standalone?
I keep being told O is the way to go but then in the same sentence being told it's barely implemented in anything that isn't hyper vanilla
>hate vampires >finally do dawnguard >neat frick vampires >serana comes out of the fricking thing >instantly want to kill her >can't >dude take me home to where the master vampire is lmao
Dawnguard is so stupid it isn't even funny
I know we're busy shitting on Skyrim but I've just installed a mod that gives every melee attack in the game accurate hitbox, melee just feels 10 times better because the enemy actually react in time with when your weapon hits them, and you can out space enemies too. You can also hit multple enemies or objects when swinging a long weapon.
It's like playing a souls or a capcom game now holy shit.
Shut up and link the mod.
If it's LE compatible.
I only ever bought one Skyrim and I'm not about to go to the effort to redo everything for a slight graphical upgrade.
>slight graphical upgrade.
I don't think they improved the graphics with SE, the main reason to upgrade is to no longer be limited by 32bit architecture
The point of SE was it updated the executable to 64 bit, which makes it far, far more stable, particularly with mods. Not to mention basically every mod uses SE and doesn't have a LE backport. I'm also pretty sure it was free if you had LE.
Oh.
Well still, I'm not willing to start from scratch, I'm pretty sure some of the mods I use didn't get ported to SE because the authors disappeared.
If they aren't really big mods you can likely still run them, MO will yell at you for using form 43 plugins instead of 44 but i run some 43 stuff anyway
To save the noob some grief, from 43/44 literally means nothing and has no impact on your game. Form 43 plugins potentially breaking and/ or damaging your games is a myth started up by a notorious member of the community in order to scare people. You can safely disregard the warning messages in MO2.

its still better to look and see if there's an SSE version on the nexus first, but it has nothing to do with the form number and everything to do with the fact that some assets (meshes, textures) don't port over easily. Some can be fixed by running cathedral assets optimizer on them, but others can't.

>I'm pretty sure some of the mods I use didn't get ported to SE because the authors disappeared.
most LE mods are also compatible with SE by default except for SKSE plugins, but most of those have been officially ported
The point of SE was it updated the executable to 64 bit, which makes it far, far more stable, particularly with mods. Not to mention basically every mod uses SE and doesn't have a LE backport. I'm also pretty sure it was free if you had LE.
precision but the mod author said it's not working for LE so you can try pirating I guess
Well yes it was hyperbole but it still feels a lot better than any combat mod, right now I'm only using Ordinator perks and not any combat mod but it still feels great to play. My biggest issue with vanilla was some attack animation did not sync up with when the hurtbox actually starts so your block don't work half the time. Having accurate hurtbox now fixes that perfectly.
AE brings only some minor content with it, which would be compatible with everything under the sun if it weren't for the fact Todd decided to update the .exe just so it could accommodate the windows store. By doing so, AE is not compatible with SE's SKSE, which means that all SE SKSE mods will not work with AE (even some AE SKSE mods are getting left behind due to it's continuing updates). The good news is that every other mod does work just fine with AE without needing to do anything. The reason the most common advice you'll be given regard AE is to downgrade is because there are a lot of SE SKSE mods that will never be updated, meanwhile there is no functional reason to use AE. The new .exe does not bring any features or optimizations, contrary to a very misguided reddit post, it does not runs better in any measurable way. Even the Creation Club content, the only thing AE was even made to ship with, can be safely run on SE with the exception of "The Cause" which only requires AE's .bsa files to run normally. There are no mods worth anyone's time that are AE only. And if there are, they will likely be few and far in-between. There will however be plenty of SE only SKSE mods as most of those authors aren't in the scene any longer and the source is not available. Again, the entire problem lies entirely with SKSE mods, everything else works fine. The best of both worlds patcher https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/57618 will downgrade your AE without you needing to think too hard. And if you still need the pre-AE USSEP you can use Nexus's archive https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/266?tab=files&file_id=209150
you seem knowledgeable anon so let me ask you
how is the modding for the original skyrim release compared to all the later rereleases. Is it enough to be worth buying the game again, the way Todd intended?
LE is just a name given to the original game packaged up with all the DLC. Meaning all LE mods that don't rely on the DLC for assets can be used if you're working with the original game with no DLC.
I see, it's just the base game + mods packed together with a new name. Good to know.
Why pay for that? Just pirate LE or SE.
I already bought in 2011 when it came out. You can't even buy it anymore, my question was if I should buy the game again if I wanted to play it modded

The starter quest for some of the factions/questlines always crack me up, especially Dawnguard.
>Stroll up to dawnguard base >Hear leader talk shit to vigilant about how they got their shit pushed in by vamps cuz they're weak >Introduce yourself and say you wanna fight vamps >Immediately tells you to investigate vamps that the vigilants got shit on by >"NO TOLAN, YOU'RE TOO WEAK TO GO THERE U DONT KNOW HOW TO FIGHT VAMPS, but this new guy I just met 30 seconds ago? He can fight vamps."
Same, but at least it stopped being intrusive with Vampire attacks and Dawnguard recruiters. You can just choose to never do it.
Skyrim has a real problem with intrusive quests in general.

do you guys think it's possible that the dwemer blinded the falmer by somehow using tonal magic to bind the slaves to their elder scroll reading machine so that they pay the price for learning the knowledge for them?
i remember reading somewhere(might have been septimus himself) that the machine somehow paid the price of sight in a roundabout way.
it could be they did that.
but if the machine is paying the price somehow, it doesn't really make sense. unless it's blinding souls stored in soul gems or something.
it'll probably be retconned due to how shitty modern society is, but they were all pretty much amoral buttholes due to being militant atheists.

The hell am I reading?
>fantasy wierdcore dark fantasy liminal vibes
>analog huskcore liminal vibe
This is it. Officially old. What even is half of this?
>Zoomers scared of open spaces
That's less youngsters and more just citygays being social parasites.
Citygays have always been parasites, nothing has changed.
>agender
All the trees remind him how easily he can hang himself.
>21 y/o Zoomer
I hate that I understood 99% of that. What the frick is huskcore?
I could see people unironically speaking in AI prompts like this within 3 years.
I am almost tempted to input this into SD.
Here's what NightCafe spewed out
your age
did you understand this post
>28
>kinda but not really, I am at least familiar with the use of "-core" and the words liminal, vibe
Not being able to kill Serena and take her elder scroll at the first sight of opening the tomb was a huge miss.
>orc tells me to join them
>tell him nah
>game spawns him at every town I go to
subtle.
>For now we should do what the vampire girl with the Elder Scroll on her back asks. Take her home to her family, whats the worst that can happen
Dawnguard was peak Bethesda writing
It truly was a rock bottom moment, surely we can only go up from here with starfield...
>killed local vampire lord and his servants
>can't loot the castle without stealing
>can't take the castle as my own
>nothing changes in Dawnguard HQ as well, not even a single celebration party
boy Skyrim sure knows how to disappoint
Because Bethesda makes their “rpgs” and they don’t even deserve to be called that, like a roller coaster instead of an amusement park
There is literally no choices or real player agency
In fact my disatisfaction with the bullshit of games and “rpgs in everything but name” these days inspires me to want to make my own games
Unironically if everything sucks you might as well do it yourself
My Dragonborn smited this Black person with his 1K+ damage Dragonbone Sword. The Dawnguard and the vampires die by my hand (while my wife, Serana, watches gleefully).
there should be a skyrim mod where u can betray a whole faction and go to war with them just to cuck them all
>be vampire
>walk straight into base of vampire killers
>literally no one cares
>walk up to their boss
>"hello pale corpse-like stranger with demonic eyes. i need to send someone on a vital quest to find a magical mcguffin before the vampires do, and you look like the perfect guy for the job!"
These guys are dumb as hell.
Play the game moron, he finds you absolutely disgusting if you go see him as a vampire
I did, you pantywaist. He sent me on a quest without even referencing the fact that I'm a vampire.
>Morrowind
>vampires are instantly shunned because of their appearance, player is shut out of almost all dialogue
>Oblivion/Skyrim
>People don't notice the fangs/eyes/complexion, or they do but inexplicably don't make the connection that they're a vampire
Cyrodiilic vampires are canonically supposed to be good at hiding in plain sight. But the Skyrim strain are supposed to be monsters that hide in ice, not savvy socialites.
Name one thing about Skyrim that felt fully realized and not rushed and unfinished.
And don't say Dwemer ruins because you're right and I'm trying to complain so frick you
>Name one thing about Skyrim that felt fully realized and not rushed and unfinished.
i want to say blackreach but its been so long since i played skyrim vanilla i might be misremembering.
Bros i love isran so much i mean look at his eyes.. it's so dreamy
he looks like one of those poor 12yr old syrian refugees 🙁
Not sure if it's intentional, but he his design is the exact opposite of Serana.
I liked the dlc but man does it feel anti-climactic when I kill the vampire lord and everyone just kind of fricks off afterwards.
why are the silverhand bad guys? it's never explained. it was also cringe how kodlak has been making use of the werewolf powers he's had for his whole life but then when he's close to retirement he then started having regrets, real convenient how he just gets to go to sovengarde for no price at all. why doesn't hircine have collateral that isn't voided by burning hagraven heads even post death?
Its Bethesda logic.
>People attacking you is bad guyz people talking to you normally is good guyz huh huh.
I mean
Yeah
Thats how it works
>People attacking you is bad guyz
yeah ? are you fricking dumb
fallout 3 has an NPC-only faction that only exists to randomly attack the player if your karma is too high
>Who armed a bunch of bandits with silver weapons and told them to kill the Companions.
We may never know.
So normalgay can play werewolf and not feel like the bad guy.
>it's never explained
They hate werewolves, its literally explained
>it was also cringe how kodlak has been making use of the werewolf powers he's had for his whole life but then when he's close to retirement he then started having regrets
He's an old man close to his retirement who realized he sold his fricking afterlife to turn into a dog, what else do you need?
>why doesn't hircine have collateral that isn't voided by burning hagraven heads even post death?
Because its not *directly* Hircine, the curse was by the Hargravens, so their heads are the price
literally all of this is said in the questline, anon.
read, Black person
No (You) read you fricking moron
>question was why are the silver hand the bad guys
>doesn't answer the question
I answered it.
>they hate werewolves
oh shit they must be fricking evil. just like everyone who hates vampires.
No, vampires are evil, so people who hate vampires are the good guys.
there are more good vampires in TES than there are good werewolves
>>it's never explained
>They hate werewolves, its literally explained
not him but that's fricking moronic and doesn't explain shit
Paarthunax (?) is not handled at all without mods
but civil war is kino I'd argue
Not wrong, the fact that Kodlak gets into Sovngarde is bullshit. People have been wienerblocked from entering for far less than simping for a Daedric prince.
Honestly everything about The Companions questline sucks, can't even finish it unless you decide to become a Werewolf.
>Kodlak gets into Sovngarde
>gets devoured by Alduin not long after
If this had happened it would've been funny as shit.
they're mean to the werewolves >:(
no you can't join them, no there aren't any unique NPCs, no there's not a single line of dialogue, you will not get anything other than bandits with silver weapons
*raises paw*
The Silver Hand are racists who will stop at nothing to kill our Furry brothers and sisters 🙁
The only way is to stop them, so we can run free, howling at the moon as a pack >:3
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/45103
Who said they are the bad guys or the good guys..? It's just two factions in conflict, the companions being honorable has nothing to do with being good, its not the same.
>Hey there, did you know that killing Vampires is heckin' awesome and cool?! You should kill Vampires. NOW.
Yes sir!
>So we're agreed. The ENTIRE CIVIL WAR will be put on hold until the Dragonborn decides to resume the questline.
Yes
That's how truces work
Why is it considered a dock against the Imperial side if you boot out Elisif? You are a neutral party and the Empire despises her and her faction. What can Elisif say?
>Oh this legendary hero who hasn't picked a side told me to frick off!
Because Elisif is an Imperial figurehead just like her husband, and the Legion headquarters in Skyrim are stationed there as is the Thalmor Embassy, are you confusing the Jarls maybe?
it's elenwen, not elisif.
she is a thalmor representative. it's a count against you for the empire because she's part of the imperial delegation as a witness to see that the terms of the white-gold concordat are upheld.
it's stupid. tulius really doesn't like her. was going to cut ulfric's head off in helgen just because he didn't want the thalmor getting their hands on him. but at the same time, you are stepping in to say who they can or cannot bring to the negotiating table.
>mercer frey steals everything from the thieves guild vault
>vault is in plain sight where everybody can see it with only a single entry point
I still think the College has the worst questline, yes, even worse than the Companions. Nothing fricking happens at all, the story goes nowhere.
>there are...events...events that will happen...doom and danger...beware
>you are not ready...more unskippable dialogue that I read at a snail's pace...knowledge...corrupts
>you have stopped these...events from happening...well done bro...
Jesus frick it's so bad
They are all equally terrible
The main quest was for the epic story and the guilds were meant to be for roleplaying, doing mundane wizard, cleric or mercenary stuff.
>make a mage High Elf because i want to be magical
>150 hours later do the Winterhold quest because i have to, not even care about what happens
Honestly, another point against it is that its on the other side of the map
Thieves Guild questline is worse
at least the first few quests have you steal shits or mug people, Companions or College doesn't require you to be either a warrior or a mage at all.
>Psijiic Order can freeze time and want the Eye of Magnus
>they don't just take it from the getgo saving everyone a multitude of headaches
Also how is bringing it to an island not far from Summerset Isles the heart of the Aldmeri Dominion not a moronic idea? Especially when the Dominion sees them as enemies?
It's the worst for me too, particularly because it seems shorter than the others, though Thieves Guild is also ridiculously bad. I don't know who the frick wrote this garbage but it's like it was written by a 3rd grader, must be somebody's golf buddy or something. I hope to christ they got a better tard wrangler for TES6.
Kill fabricants
No bro you don't get it! Serana charmed you the moment you freed her so you had no choice but to escort her. She also rode you like a bull to make up for her thousand years of abstinence, but you don't remember it.
Isn't there some massive plothole with Serana not knowing about the Empire?
Worst NPC? Personally Sapphire
>hello
>frick you
>hey why are you named like that
>I GOT FRICKING RAPED
>damn, thats sad, bye
How do you anons roleplay
I just play fighter or full mage archetypes and only join appropriate factions for them
Even back when Morrowind came out I never understood people who wanted to be leader of all factions and it's a shame Bethesda started pandering to these people
Every kind of character plays better if you avoid the factions.
>Have to talk to Jarls and townsfolk to earn titles and deeds as a wandering warrior, no lycanthropy
>Have to seek out court wizards and do quests for some of them to access training and spells for a mage, no psijic chosen one nonsense
>Thieves must build up their speech to sell stolen goods, stealing merely aids your character until then, no Nocturnal pact
>Would-be assassins have to seek out scummy characters who want others dead, or kill opportunistically like the wedding goers on the road
Dude gave his wife and daughter to Molaag Baal
Its in character for him to be absolutely moronic
It would help if any of it was explained or elaborated on in any way. I would like to think that since it's a magic thing involving vampire blood that it just blocks the "kills vampires-ness" of the sun, but nobody says as much and it's Bethesda, so you can basically assume it's as moronic as it sounds.
Make better threads ;/
make better games, todd
Couldn’t even give the Nords their own religion because Todd gets confused
Lorelet.
So if 6 takes place with Hammerfell what am I supposed to cope with being a Nord or Dunmer worshipping Black person gods
How hard is it to just have a religion system for each race. It’s not like mods have done that, oh wait.
The same thing as when your non dunmer dude was the Nerevarine, you just move along, thats how it works in these games
>he thinks the nerevarine prophecy is real
I mean reincarnation is different
I only listen to Argonian and Khajiit queens.
>frick the Empire, I want to worship the first Emperor
I never got that attitude, the Empire didn't force the White-Gold concordat on themselves.
Maybe it’s my OCD or whatever but sometimes I find it hard to just shut off my brain and just play a game. All the stupid things just fly right out at me and I can’t help but point them. Bethesda quite literally just throws darts on a board for random ideas
Maybe I have high iq
They retconned the nordic religion to being all about talos even though in oblivion nords apparently didn't care about talos or the imperial cult.
There's one NPC who worships the Old Nordic Pantheon; I think it's implied that Skyrim was Imperailized after the Oblivion Crisis.
Obviously I get that yeah people can convert but it’s such a fricking toddcuckmove to just practically erase an entire portion of a culture. It makes it all less unique and bland
I can guess from here in out the series will always be bland with just the le one religion that every race follows for some reason
Not to be one of those anons but yeah my game is basically going to be Elder Scrolls but good
Certainly, even though you and your group behave like a living cliche, I'd rather deal with you than the other group of living cliche's
If fantasy settings are all about making religion and mythology real, then what is religion and mythology within a fantasy settings
Get Ostim and OpenSex
>Open sex
Anon I’ve been trying to open that file for many years now
That file is locked by ransomware, you gotta pay to play
You'll open it someday pal hopefully me too
Is there an ODefeat yet?
Yeah but it's kinda shite, yamete kudasai works better.
Is that part of the O stuff or is that a standalone?
I keep being told O is the way to go but then in the same sentence being told it's barely implemented in anything that isn't hyper vanilla
>hate vampires
>finally do dawnguard
>neat frick vampires
>serana comes out of the fricking thing
>instantly want to kill her
>can't
>dude take me home to where the master vampire is lmao
You can safely disregard the warning messages in MO2.
shartmoor really has been a stain on the modding community hasn't he...
Yamete Kudasai works with both SexLab and Ostim
And yes, Ostim is more vanilla, if you want the more degenerate shit go with sexlab.
>Don't want that much more degenerate shit because I'm actually pretty vanilla
>However worried that vanilla will be far too vanilla for me
I'm doomed by my indecision
Don't worry, there's always Flowergirls for people like you :^)
Ill Google it when I get home
Please don't be futa
Worse it's _______
I'm not sure what the meme is, seems pretty normal to me so far
What's the bit anon please im scared
I wouldn't worry about it
the meme is that flowergirls is a shitty, obsolete mod
opensex has a huge variety of animations, the "vanillaness" refers to the fact that all the animations are designed to be consensual, and between humanoid adults.
So how the heck would it work with defeat or whatever
You win so haha I'm totally happy bad joyful about this rape now?
I don't know, I don't use rape mods, I only fug my wife
There are aggressive animations already made/ported for it, and its fairly simple to do yourself if you want to do so.
Thanks, I'm not very tech savvy so that all flew over my head.
I guess I'll pirate SE and just move all the non-SKSE mods over from the mod folder I already have and go from there.
>I guess I'll pirate SE and just move all the non-SKSE mods over from the mod folder I already have and go from there.
its still better to look and see if there's an SSE version on the nexus first, but it has nothing to do with the form number and everything to do with the fact that some assets (meshes, textures) don't port over easily. Some can be fixed by running cathedral assets optimizer on them, but others can't.
If you're gonna pirate se make sure you get one with a crack that doesn't modify the .exe, otherwise some skse mods might not work correctly. cs.rin is your best friend.
Shit, I remember having this problem. Where should I get it then? Fitgirl? I hope not Fitgirl.
Unironically fitgirl. Dunno about the default CODEX crack, should be fine but the ALI213 crack works 100%
Yeah what I'm remembering is that SKSE knew I was using a cracked version and was denying me or something. I don't remember exactly. Guess I'll take another swing.
>It's like playing a souls or a capcom game now holy shit.
get real. and yes I've used precision.
precision but the mod author said it's not working for LE so you can try pirating I guess
You mean LE? It's ok.
no, the very first release without any of the dlc.
LE is the first release, SSE is the second release, AE is an updated version of SSE, it is not its own game.
I see, it's just the base game + mods packed together with a new name. Good to know.
I already bought in 2011 when it came out. You can't even buy it anymore, my question was if I should buy the game again if I wanted to play it modded
If you already payed for it once then just pirate the damn thing.
no. I don't want to play skyrim again that badly.
You can buy it, it's just not listed in Steam store in search. First review links the DLC for it
https://store.steampowered.com/app/72850/The_Elder_Scrolls_V_Skyrim/
>Notice: At the request of the publisher, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is unlisted on the Steam store and will not appear in search.
My mistake, I thought they took it down entirely not just stopped it from showing up in searches.
Why pay for that? Just pirate LE or SE.
>base skyrim with no DLC
LE is just a name given to the original game packaged up with all the DLC. Meaning all LE mods that don't rely on the DLC for assets can be used if you're working with the original game with no DLC.
I enjoy skyrim despite it's flaws
The starter quest for some of the factions/questlines always crack me up, especially Dawnguard.
>Stroll up to dawnguard base
>Hear leader talk shit to vigilant about how they got their shit pushed in by vamps cuz they're weak
>Introduce yourself and say you wanna fight vamps
>Immediately tells you to investigate vamps that the vigilants got shit on by
>"NO TOLAN, YOU'RE TOO WEAK TO GO THERE U DONT KNOW HOW TO FIGHT VAMPS, but this new guy I just met 30 seconds ago? He can fight vamps."
I really, really HATE this DLC with a burning passion
Same, but at least it stopped being intrusive with Vampire attacks and Dawnguard recruiters. You can just choose to never do it.
Skyrim has a real problem with intrusive quests in general.
Calm spell?
moronic cope that she somehow threw a calm spell on you without casting it so your murderhobo rpg pc ass wouldn't instakill her with your weapon of choice, rather than admit its just awful writing and hamfisted waifubaiting.
The origin of this is actually from a mod called "Serana Dialogue Addon" and if you know how bad that mod is it makes everything worse.
>SDA
Glad I decided to never install that.
>illusion isn't even one of her primary skills
Even if she casted calm you really think that shit would work on the fricking dragonborn at that point
Illusion does not even work on the Dragonborn. My headcanon always was:
>1. Damn, she is cute
>2. Blood mumbo jumbo from using your blood to wake her up
>two more weeks and i wont be an incel. K bro
do you guys think it's possible that the dwemer blinded the falmer by somehow using tonal magic to bind the slaves to their elder scroll reading machine so that they pay the price for learning the knowledge for them?
i remember reading somewhere(might have been septimus himself) that the machine somehow paid the price of sight in a roundabout way.
no the dwemer just turned them into blind monsters for laughs
it could be they did that.
but if the machine is paying the price somehow, it doesn't really make sense. unless it's blinding souls stored in soul gems or something.
Just how unified were the Dwemer anyway? Were they all evil fricks or was it just one city/clan?
it'll probably be retconned due to how shitty modern society is, but they were all pretty much amoral buttholes due to being militant atheists.
or, well, not atheists. but their behavior is basically what most religious people view a godless society becoming. so it's commentary on atheism, at least.
no booba, no kill
Breed vampires
Why are werewolves so much better than vampires gameplaywise? This is including with mods.
Because they were part of original Skyrim development, Vampires were an afterthought
>instead of becoming an extremely sexy vampire when you get that royal blood you become a disgusting monster
what were they thinking there huh
