The genophage is consistently handled as the complicated issue that it is. Things left as they are, means the Krogans will die a slow extinction, which is obviously not a very morally good thing especially considering they *were* the sole reason the galaxy survived the bug wars. But fixing the genophage has an extremely high risk of making them the greatest threat in the galaxy. They make no excuses to hide this. The Krogan are displayed as warmongering, violent, with massive temper issues and desire for blood and slaughter and glory in battle at every single turn. Even the Krogan scientist you encounter openly admits they would never be in that business if they didn't have to. They *love* war. Ending the genophage is basically a guaranteed death sentence for everyone else and everyone in a position of scientific or cultural authority agrees. It's a helluva lot better than the way Star Trek and trekkers handle Klingons. Another warmongering race that would never find true peace because they're genetically hardwired for violence, brutality and war. But everyone makes excuses for them all the time, pretending like they're something else than what they are.
Back to ME: Meanwhile humans are one of the youngest, smallest species in the galaxy. Despite their war inventions. Realistically there would be no way for them to win the war against the Reapers alone. I don't think we're getting it at all.
EA took SWToR away from Bioware, so they won't be able to shift funds and budget around, to cover their flops.
Putting the ME team, allegedly, to work on DADW guarantees that the ME game will need to be rebooted post DA's release.
EA won't greenlight the funding for the next ME, and effectively shutter Bioware Edmonton.
That's how I see it, anyway.
Unless Dread Wold somehow manages to be such a good game that propels DA sales past 8 million at launch. It's just not happening.

Mass Effect 2 / SWTOR were in 2011, already affected by the EA acquisition, but the development of which thankfully started before. Since then BioWare has made:

>Anthem
Each game on that list was worse than the one before it. Every single time, BioWare got tons of critique even from professional journos (go figure, sometimes they do know their business) about what went wrong. Every consecutive game, they doubled down on whatever shit the previous game failed at in order to fail even harder next time. I've never been a fan of any company the way I was a BioWare fan, but that company has been dead for 12 years now. The modern BioWare has nothing in common with what once was save for the name, being bled for every last dime by EA.
So all evidence points to the game being as pozzed, as bad, and just fail in every single predictable and criminally obvious way that any random trash gamer could tell them. We all know this. Some of us just don't want to believe it.
It will be a woke, grindy open world experience with lackluster gameplay, and not even a semblance of the legendary character development or story that raised the old BioWare to the top. It will have all the usual EA ponzi scheme trash like multiplayer, probably come with a battlepass or at least some kind of real money store system, everything needed to steal every last dollar from the gamers. But most importantly, it will absolutely beyond a single sliver of a doubt suck, and suck bad.

Correction, Dragon Age 2 was the worst on the list but that was an exception. Still, with its lazy enemy spawns and rehashing the same caves and locations over and over, it was EA's first attempt at saving costs everywhere imaginable resulting in such a horrible experience they had to change. But every game since has shared in that they are not games made for fun, but simply western shovel ware trash made for the express purpose of getting as much money as cheaply as possible.

I think ME4 will be set like 500 years after ME3 with a brand new cast and no save imports. Liara will have a minor role similar to hers in ME2 pre-LotSB, basically just to provide exposition about Shepard and the OT.
Gameplay will be near-identical to Andromeda since reddit loved that part of it for some moronic reason, but everything else will draw from the OT.
The quality of the story will be mediocre and very try-hard, however. They will either try to shoehorn Andromeda's unresolved plotline or they will double-down on the moronic "dangers of AI" theme that Casey Hudson forced into the original ME3 ending.
Judging from the teasers last N7 day it's hinting that it would be set 4 years after ME3. We just have to wait and see
