What? As far as I can tell it has no magic, demons, or spirits. You're literally fighting humans and only humans, maybe some are more "superhuman" than others I guess, but I saw no mention of magic or a supernatural element in the game.
It takes place during the BAKUMATSU and seems to be more a historical game and less of a spirit/magic/demon supernatural thing. Unless they go for like an Rourouni Kenshin element and you can do all these CRAZY ANIME sword attacks and FLASHSTEP everywhere.

They have a pretty big tolerance of what is a hit, but there is no way this is gonna be a Ghost of Thushima killer. Could be even a worse flop than Wo Long considering that the open world crowd is really picky to graphics compared to their usual audience.

The only games that can do it right are RPGs that fill the world with a bunch of interesting stories and quests not related to the mainstory. About 20 years give or take. It wasn't a total purge and replace, a lot of the samurai basically just got new jobs as higher-ups in the imperial bureaucracy. A lot of the samurai clan feuds would continue into the 20th century and form the basis of stuff like the frickery the Imperial Army and Imperial Navy would get up to out of spite for the other because of who their top generals and admirals were.
