What? As far as I can tell it has no magic, demons, or spirits. You're literally fighting humans and only humans, maybe some are more "superhuman" than others I guess, but I saw no mention of magic or a supernatural element in the game.
It takes place during the BAKUMATSU and seems to be more a historical game and less of a spirit/magic/demon supernatural thing. Unless they go for like an Rourouni Kenshin element and you can do all these CRAZY ANIME sword attacks and FLASHSTEP everywhere.
They have a pretty big tolerance of what is a hit, but there is no way this is gonna be a Ghost of Thushima killer. Could be even a worse flop than Wo Long considering that the open world crowd is really picky to graphics compared to their usual audience.
>SoP is Nioh but FF!
turns out SoP is hot pile of shit but FF >WL is Nioh but China!
turns out WL is wannabe Sekiro but China >Rorin is Nioh but open world!
I don't trust you anymore, you promise to deliver Nioh but you never do
Actually the official shill's narrative is that they are trying something new every time instead of doing another Nioh, and if you didn't like the game it's because you are a nioh fanboy that cries about not getting Nioh 3.
>Combat focused game >But open world
Nope, nope, nope. This shit will suck. Openworld proliferation was a mistake. The only games that can do it right are RPGs that fill the world with a bunch of interesting stories and quests not related to the mainstory. This is just going to be some Ubisoft slop shit where it feels like a grind to traverse.
The stances being effective against certain weapons calls to mind Ghost of Tsushima more than anything, though naturally with much better combat just from what's been seen alone.
I for one cannot fricking wait. But, it's exclusive so I'll just have to
It's not Nioh 3, it's the actual Team Ninja Sekiro clone, unlike Wo Long which played nothing like Sekiro but normalhomosexuals didn't notice. It also shows how much worse Team Ninja animations are
It looks so jank compared to Nioh and Wo Long. I can understand the graphical fidelity taking a hit due to the open world, but I'd expect the animations to still be alright.
>Nioh 2 is so popular that it make >Square run to you and beg to make new FF game, they also give you fat bag of shekels on top of sales >CCP run to you and beg to make new game set in China, they also give you fat bag of shekels on top of sales >Snoy run to you and beg to make new game exclusive to PS, they also give you fat bag of shekels on top of sales
I don't know, it seems TN is so popular that they have no time to make game on their own and do commissions for now.
>to be replaced
Define replaced. The Samurai had their rights curtailed over the 1870s (around 20 years after Perry showed up), with things escalating very quickly after the Satsuma Rebellion in 1877. But almost all of the "founding fathers" of modern Japan and their protegees were from the Samurai class (a few were from the traditional nobility). Additionally, former Samurai and their descendants made up a not insignificant portion of the business and industrial world that grew out of modernization.
>Perry forces the country open in 1854 >Satsuma Rebellion ends in 1877 concurrent to Meiji reforms in the 1870s when officials were sent abroad to study western sciences and the like, including military practice and theory
About 20 years give or take. It wasn't a total purge and replace, a lot of the samurai basically just got new jobs as higher-ups in the imperial bureaucracy. A lot of the samurai clan feuds would continue into the 20th century and form the basis of stuff like the frickery the Imperial Army and Imperial Navy would get up to out of spite for the other because of who their top generals and admirals were.
>looks like an early PS4 title >PS5 exclusive, skipping PC >gameplay looks like a budget version of sekiro mixed with Ghost of Tsushima >release same day as Dragon's Dogma 2
forget this assest flip Nioh game. Where's NG4 at , Team homie?
Nioh 2 is far better than any Ninja Gaiden game.
Please wake up from your brainwashing. We love you and want to see you become cuhrayzee again.
>contrarians seething at the truth
>Nioh

>no kusarigama = no sale
More like nioh assassin's creed with Chinese knockoff sekiro combat
They have a pretty big tolerance of what is a hit, but there is no way this is gonna be a Ghost of Thushima killer. Could be even a worse flop than Wo Long considering that the open world crowd is really picky to graphics compared to their usual audience.
Rise of Ronin's visuals look pretty good to me.
It looks like an early ps4 game moron
Looks fun to me

this. so fricking sick of the open world obsession

I really hope they put out a demo.

Team Ninja really need to stop shitting out new games every year
It looks so jank compared to Nioh and Wo Long. I can understand the graphical fidelity taking a hit due to the open world, but I'd expect the animations to still be alright.
>nioh
failed
>nioh 2
failed, but has an autistic/virgin niche fanbase somehow
>wo long
failed
>ronin
not looking so good
fromchads...how can we help them ?

By making Otogi 3
How long did it take for the samurai to be replaced after Perry made them open up?

I really don't see any way this game succeeds
