Why did they make it such an unusable shitmon?
Nobody's been this unusable in a long time I don't think. Maybe Gumshoos.
Right? The last few gens they've at least tried to make things decent, Thievul was pretty shit but this is a whole other level, this thing has the stats of a gen 2 mon, its already as worse off as legendary shitmons like Ledian

Masquerain is waaay better than it for webs since it has intimidate and most speed.
It sucks both in battle and design. I have no idea why they'd do this.
I can only think of one way people will be able to use it...
Statwise it's equivalent to Parasect, Ariados, Kriketune etc so it's not entirely surprising.

It's a shame because it's based on a really cool family of spiders. They use their webs to make nets they hold with the forelimbs to grab and enmesh prey in.

I like the idea of this design, a humanoid looking spider that uses thread to lay traps, but the actual execution is god awful and it looks like some shitty calarts character.
Whenever there is a new ugly pokemon and someone says they actually like, I think they are contarian. But I really love this pokemon, actually one of my favorite this gen. Love how it is a different take on a spidermon. Nothing reddeming about the stats but this game is easy enough and not every pokemon will be meta relevant.

I don’t hate him design wise, he looks like a funky toy story character which I don’t mind. I do hate that someone decided to give this guy truly useless stats across the board though? Did they think they’d have the next aeigslash if they have it even remotely decent stats because of its signature move?
I like it a bit more after seeing this. Still disappointed that our first eight-legged spider evolves into some low polygon humanoid, though.
