Wouldn't surprise me because of Ryne's escapades into Botany and didn't one of the Crystarium kids want to do something with plants in a post-ShB sidequest?
>You don't get anything based on your patron deity
This is such a missed opportunity, I don't fricking understand why they don't give you a title or fricking anything
A single line of throwaway dialogue on a choice I made 10 years ago that I was waiting on the outcome of. At least I know that I fricked my patron deity in my past life and she is/was a figurative and literal hottie.
When are people going to admit that the only reason everyone praises this game so highly is because they're too attached to their custom character?
If the story of FF14 was turned into a normal videogame and not an MMO and had the Trailerguy as the MC it would not be nearly as loved.
Can you even imagine having a character as barebones and lacking in any sort of development or characterisation in the position of protagonist?
WoLs are just heroic automatons.
That's why other characters always get the emotional focus.
It's only weird if the only RPGs you play are J. WRPGs have had silent protagonists forever and since Mass Effect there have been only a small burst of outliers.
>If you are anything other than an Oschon-gay than you get cucked because all the other gods die except him
God I wish I picked Oschon as my patron because then maybe I wouldn't feel so utterly fricking betrayed by the writing this patch. Did they seriously not think that 99% of the playerbase that chose every other other god besides Oschon might be pissed off to find their Patron-deity just fricking self-terminates at the end of this storyline?
And that's why they left, they're still ancients with their mindset.
Shit that's also why they didn't take an active role in our development outside of fixing calamities.
>You don't get anything based on your patron deity
This is such a missed opportunity, I don't fricking understand why they don't give you a title or fricking anything
I got a single line of dialogue from Menphina during the optional "speak to the gods then progress by speaking to Deryk" sequence and saw a screenshot of Oschon acknowledging his patronage during one of the post-raid cutscenes. Do you really just get told to go frick yourself if you picked Llymlaen or Thaliak?
>yeah lol Hydaelyn made us >Deryk is Oschon >we're gonna sudoku now
Every single piece of lore EW developed has irreparably soured my opinion of this game. This is the worst expac by an infinite expanse.
Doing what for free? Hating this dogshit expansion? Only slop eaters and trannies have enjoyed EW. Fricking trash. If it weren't for Nidhana and shameless OV fanservice, I would have finally unsubbed.
>Entire lv. 90 MSQ is about confronting civilizations that committed collective suicide >But the guardians of Eorzea commiting suicide by WoL is fine
This questline isn't even consistent with the themes of Endwalker MSQ. There was literally nothing on the line, unlike Hydaelyn that went all out as the final test before Endsinger.
I saw it more as the typical ancient way of looking at life as "Well I did my job time to return to the planet by offing myself" and Oschon was changed enough by his involvement with the life they protected that he moved past that attitude. Oschon is an Hermes that didn't become depressed.
I dislike that no other deity decided to remain, they should have given a better reason such as "We are actively consuming more aether than we are worth, we should be going and our dissapearance will be a last act of love."
It really undermines the theme of the benevolent deities that deeply love us that the rest of the alliance series was doing, it's like it's telling us that people like the former Fandaniel were justified in killing themselves.
>"We are actively consuming more aether than we are worth, we should be going and our dissapearance will be a last act of love."
They're doing that, minus the consuming aether bit.
They're a massive frickton of aether and hopeful dynamis.
The reason they're returning to the star is to die and setup the mechanism by which the hopes and prayers of man don't summon primals, but is channeled into the lifestream.
Lifestream. Not aetherial sea, not the underworld, the lifestream.
The difference is that they were constructs, they had lived for 12,000 years, their disappearance WAS an act of love and sacrifice (more life can be born EXPLICITLY because they're not using up prayers), and because they now know humanity are suitable stewards that can be completely trusted with the world. There's a reason Answers played during a part of it >To all of my children in whom Life flows abundant >To all of my children to whom Death hath passed his judgement >The soul yearns for honor, and the flesh the hereafter >Look to those who walked before to lead those who walk after
It was less a case of society basically LowTierGod'ing them when they did their job and more >Holy frick it's been 12,000 years of this and we now know beyond a shadow of a doubt that mankind doesn't need us and are probably better off without us >Time to bow out and trust the star to them, like they deserve
>And now we'll die, to let all the aether we took to exist return to the natural cycle. >Ok well that's sad but I guess it does make sense, after all if your mere existence is a detriment then I gue- >Btw Oschon is just giving up the aether but is gonna continue living and travelling because he doesn't want to die.
THEN WHY THE FRICK IS EVERYONE ELSE DYING TOO?!
Frick, they really just went for cheap nonsensical tears with this one.
I believe after 12,000 years of nonstop duty they would feel the NEED to rest and rejoin their loved ones who got killed and/or sundered after a terrible calamity. Oschon was similar to Azem, too attached to the people and the world to fully let them go yet, so he had some reasons to remain for a few more years.
>THEN WHY THE FRICK IS EVERYONE ELSE DYING TOO?!
Because they didn't travel around and change much.
They're still ancients with the ancient mindset.
Oschon got to wander and see the world, but unlike Emet he wasn't a nostalgiagay.
They're constructs (read primals) created from memories of existing ancients by Venat to watch over the Source. In the end they collected so much aether from prayers they decided to pour it all into the star, created a device that will relay energy from prayers to the star as well, and went into lifestream (read killed themselves). All except Oschon since he got too attached (to opo-opo, the star and (you)) and decided to live the rest of his days as a mortal.
>Spoiler
I fricking called it as far back as 6.1, it should have been obvious for anyone paying attention during the first scenes with the gods and after what happened in 6.0. The ending of their arc feels like a complete asspull though
and this happened before and we witness past events, or does it literally happen as we finish the raid, making us the reason why all gods are gone and people's prayers won't be listened ever again?
>collected so much aether from prayers
Dynamis.
Hopes and prayer shapes gods (and primals), aether gives them form.
That's why Ishgarde doesn't summon Halone every Sunday. >went into the lifestream
I'm genuinely curious why more people aren't latching onto that since the lifestream is only mention in the use of flow, rak'tika, and now.
Ancients called the aetherial sea the underworld
Dynamis doesn't give you aether, it gives you dynamis. Limit Break isn't powered by aether, for example, but by dynamis. It's specifically stated that they accumulated aether from prayers.
I didn't say dynamis gives you aether.
Dynamis shapes aether that is there.
That's why you need a frick ton of crystals AND lots of prayer to summon a primal, and how the final days reshaped the less aether dense creations. >Limit Break isn't powered by aether, for example, but by dynamis
Aether is released in vast quantities during combat. That's why they fought us to release that aether. Limit break uses that vast amount of drifting aether shaped by dynamis to unleash whatever effect you make of it.
That's why it's a limit break, you're using far more aether than you alone can often use. >It's specifically stated that they accumulated aether from prayers.
It's specifically stated that they gained power from prayers, not aether.
Consider Thordan, he had the aether from the eye and a thousand years of prayer, and during the fight he takes in more aether from the warring triad.
The prayer empowered him, he specifically says so, but it doesn't give him any aether.
The twelve are creations, they don't need to leech aether to maintain their forms.
>lifestream
This is why i think we are getting a 7 stlyed story of a shard of advanced technology that is going to figure out how to use it for power.
The usual Magic is outlawed but theres mega corps.
>I'm genuinely curious why more people aren't latching onto that since the lifestream is only mention in the use of flow, rak'tika, and now.
What? Lifestream is a synonym for the aetherial realm that originates from Miqo'te religion. It's used constantly throughout the game.
>Your argument is that because every storyline in the past 13 years leads to Allagans and Ancients that the storyline should never connect to any other possible civilization across 12,000 years of world history.
No it’s not, you are a disingenuous schizophrenic. Have a good day, be sure to take your meds.
Let me copypaste what you wrote. >We are in direct contact with allagans and the ancients why are you mad the story doesn’t randomly pivot to unrelated things.
That is what you wrote. That because the story only talks about Ancients and Allagans that it would be 'random' if it ever talked about anything else.
Since fricking when does prayer create aether???? With the Primals they always needed aether already, you couldn't just use prayer alone.
And why the frick do the Twelve even exist? Venat's whole thing is letting go of the dead and rejecting false gods and letting humanity find their own way, but after the sundering she suddenly 180*s on all that and recreates all her dead allies as gods to guide humanity? And then they basically never show up through the whole game anyway until they decide to kill themselves (something we spent the whole expansion ideologically opposed to but don't even raise an eyebrow at)bin order to pump more aether into the Lifestream, when the Lifestream is already unstable from all the aether Zodiark's death is pumping into it? But then one guy just lives anyway because I guess all the rest were created with strong Ancient sudoku energy despote Venat hating that idea, so now we have this guy around that could reasonably relay the entire world's entire history but he just walks into the sunset with his monkey?
the twelve exist as worship conduits and a planted religion for humans, as primals already summoned it renders humans unable to summon them in times of duress
The Twelve were a foolproof method of providing a greater power to appeal and pray to that wouldn't destroy the world or temper homies.
But that didn't stop the 10,000 other times Primals have been created. Remember how Ramuh was good value Rhalgr?
In fact aren't we forgetting that an Ascian actually tried to get the Ala Mhigan refugees to summon Rhalgr as a Primal? Why the frick would he do that if it was literally designed to be impossible? Did the Ascians even know the Twelve existed? If they ever knew why wouldn't they just manipulate society into different religions with their skinjumping butthole tactics, since the Twelve seem contractually obligated to not interfere and tons of human societies and basically all beastman races never worshipped them anyway?

they could have tried to summon rhalgr but it wouldn't work, the ascians aren't omniscient and the twelve are moron secretive by design

Far east homies don't summon kami to do their bidding either, that's pretty explicitly a western invention in the setting. Hell Susano is a "pure" primal years before summoning magic was even stated to be corrupt since he was brought in by his artifacts coming together and wasn't actually summoned by anyone.

Why? It should have been incredibly easy. Skinjack prominent religious figures, or start new cults. They've literally created entire civilizations before.

>Why?
because it glows in the fricking dark and their thing is secrecy, subverting existing civilizations through any means that isn't raising up an empire to crush them isn't their forte. emet doesn't hang around in civilizations he starts, lahabrea prefers the direct approach when possible, elidibus eats his own poo, and smaller ascians wank about their golems being invincible

Everything they do glows in the dark, never stopped them before. Also Emet ruled Garlemald for like 80 years.

And hold on, human Primal summoning magic was fricking created by the Ascians as offbrand creation magic anyway. Did Venat create the Twelve in response to that, or did she create them before? If the Twelve were stopping Primals of themselves from being created because of the one summon rule, why didn't the Ascians just remove that rule, since it's just an arbitrary condition that wasn't part of creation magic originally anyway???

summoning and creation magic works differently when summoning the XIV rendition of an eidolon and i don't think they have to or even should explain it beyond their existing given "somehow the lifestream just knows which specific soulstuff in it makes up the core of a specific primal, and that soulstuff can't be in two places at once"
I thought the whole storyline was really good. Even outside of having Oschon as my patron. >gods always watched over the world and did their best for it >genuinely loved mankind and the world >were so moved by mankind's ability to protect their world from the end of days, they're able to trust mankind as full stewards >realize they're no longer needed >willingly relinquish their power to mankind so new life can be born and man can fully steer the world >Oschon, whose job was to walk among man as a god to let the others know what they needed, grew so attached to those he met that he didn't want to leave >so he gives up his divinity to live a full life as a man before joining his compatriots or 12000 years
Honestly made me get a bit teary-eyed. It's kind of bittersweet and interesting to see the gods portrayed with simultaneously so much humanity and so much benevolence. It's really rare to see a pantheon that are so inarguably well-intentioned, so it made me really like all of them. Especially because I think they did a good job conveying their personalities and staying true to all of the established lore. It's definitely my favorite Alliance Raid series.
Myths > Ivalice > Void > Crystal Tower > Nier (as somebody that loves both actual Nier games)
My ONLY gripes are that I honestly feel like the Twelve were often neglected in the story beforehand (there wasn't enough stuff in-game dealing with them other than obscure side stuff in books or visual things), and I do think it kind of sucks that EVERYTHING goes back to the Ancients, including the Twelve. I guess there was no other way to do it after establishing the whole plot with the Ancients, which itself is great, but I do feel it kind of makes them less important if they're just some dudes made by Hydaelyn (even if she is technically the "creator" of the world).
Post-EW has fricking sucked.
To be honest everything since the start of ShB has fricking sucked besides Werlyt and some parts of EW's MSQ.
But the Alliance Raid is I think the most absolutely egregious part of it all, and has genuinely killed the remaining interest I have in XIV's writing.
Getting rid of the 12 and all other 1.0 writing baggage has been their plan for a long time I think, especially since most of the people and the original ideas for the setting are long gone.
The problem is they’ve barely set anything up to replace all of the tied off plot threads, lore, and setting elements that they finished off in EW.
>Sure. But as of right now it feels bad.
Because as of right now, all they're doing is tying up loose ends and making the world we know get smaller in doing so, but you should let it end and see what comes up next before you decide if that's a bad thing for real or not. Mind you I still fricking hate they just offed the gods instead of at the very least letting them roam around like Alpha, understanding why they're doing it doesn't mean I have to agree with every single part of it.
I mean look at it this way, we're seeing the most unexplored continent of all next, and there's four more shards each of them bigger than the First, and now also a whole universe of potential places to go to. Right now the plot and lore could be anything they come up with.
>The problem is they’ve barely set anything up to replace all of the tied off plot threads, lore, and setting elements that they finished off in EW.
That is probably what Dawntrail is, it's going to be an expansion about mainly world building most likely, like an ARR 2.
The whole EW patch plot also seems like it's going to be a new beginning point for players, using Zero as an excuse to reintroduce the Scions and going through lots of places to have a general idea about what happened before so you can have a minimun amount of context.
>Getting rid of the 12 and all other 1.0 writing baggage has been their plan for a long time I think
Which is fricking stupid. Turning everything into "Lul it was akshully teh ancients" is fricking garbage writing. We know more about the fricking Ancients than we do about most of the post-Sundering civilizations. They've genuinely tried to strip all the mystery and mysticism out of the game in favor of absolute garbage.
Tying everything back to muh ancient allagans or muh actual ancients has been pretty shitty, yeah.
And if they keep doing it in DT, I’m gonna do a flip.
>"Lul it was akshully teh ancients" is fricking garbage writing.
careful anon this is exactly how FF7 is written, it's either the planet, the cetra, or jenova
Yes anon, and FF7's writing is garbage too outside of Cloud's twist in the original and Barret's backstory, both of which I expect to get fricked up in the remake.
FF7 is a 30 hour game with a narrow focus, not an entire MMO world with many different storylines and countless fallen civilizations throughout history.

That's exactly it. There should be a lot more going on than Ancients and Allagans. The only thing we maybe know about the Second Astral Era is Ivalice, and that's not even confirmed, it's just speculation based on some lore clues.

Like imagine, in the context of EW, if myths of the realm ackshully uncovered the 12 were creations of the grand lala wizard Scrimbla Schala from the hidden kingdom of Zeal centuries past. Like what the frick Black person that would be moronic. You need prior buildup.

Think about what you've just written here. Your argument is that because every storyline in the past 13 years leads to Allagans and Ancients that the storyline should never connect to any other possible civilization across 12,000 years of world history. When they first revealed that the Ascians had their own civilization before recorded history was that a random pivot? Of course not. How would it be a random fricking pivot if some side content was written to shed light on any other era of history? >You need prior buildup.
So something like... making a piece of side content that connects to an era of history that isn't the Allagans or Ancients.

If XI got them they probably would've. XIV tends to go with the token versions of everything lately. I don't know why yoship is so allergic to adapting tropes to fit with xiv instead of just ctrl + v'ing things from other FF games not caring if they fit the style.
Everyone has huge tit options though, I think its weird that the devs don't add an ass slider like they have for breasts, it could even pull double duty and give gays, women and trannies something to look at when they make male characters
Nobody but idiots expected hulking bodybuilders. Even the OG Ronso women are basically just roegadyn/highlanders with fur, so them expecting hunchbacked giga-beats was fricking stupid. You know the people who wanted it - it's either people who coom to big lady (I'll respect that) or the kinds of people who want mannish looking women and womenish looking men.
I'm no furry but it fricking sucks that hroth are plagued by permanent scoliosis. Every pose they do where they straighten their fricking back makes them look ten times better. As they are, they look like shit to me. I hope the female ones at least have a fricking normal spine.
We are most likely going to get that, or something approximating it. Assuming the placeholder isn't fricky the girl has a waist close to an au ra male's.
I'm no furry but it fricking sucks that hroth are plagued by permanent scoliosis. Every pose they do where they straighten their fricking back makes them look ten times better. As they are, they look like shit to me. I hope the female ones at least have a fricking normal spine.
Absolutely. It's stupid and devs should understand nobody (worth a damn) likes hunchbacks. They let orcs fix that and I doubt any orcs run around with the OG hunchback in any meaningful numbers.
Yoshi said Guin was an inspiration, and let me tell you, hrothgar are not guin.
If they allowed hroth to run around with a straight spine it would become too obvious that they are just male Roes with a new head, fur, claws and a handful of new animations
I kind of hope they look good so I can fantasia to one for a while, but I doubt I'd stick with them. The gear designers have an obsession with capes when half the players have tails resulting in tail clipping.
The clothing actually looks really good. The materials look realistic and the textures aren't jagged at all. I just hope the updated player models have good looking hands and feet because they look fricking horrendous right now
>character that is meant to be insufferable and hyperbolizing her complaints >the only responses you have to her are "Will you shut the frick up if I make you a chair?" and reluctantly offering help
Could have picked better examples.
They're saving the reveal until we return to the Void in DT exploratory content and we'll get to fight the real Golbez when he's extracted from the Memoriate crystal by a bad guy and corrupted
Now that would be cool, I'd really enjoy Bozja XIII since clearly everything going on in the Matsuno stories has been dropped forever to the point of characters dying offscreen.
When are people going to admit that the only reason everyone praises this game so highly is because they're too attached to their custom character?

The wol is just supposed to be a self insert not an actual character. People cope by saying that it gets better but your character is just a way for you to be immersed in the world and that's not a bad thing.
>Do Zeromus for the first time >Fun ass fight, enjoyed it >Warrior MT couldn't stop talking and complaining about the music during the first phase >Called everyone else tasteless zoomers for liking it >Left saying that the only good music was the last part and that he was the only one with any taste there
Which one of you was it because I haven't seen a biggest display of shit taste in a while
I'd find it really funny if you were actually him because he was straight up writing like he was in these threads, I did it yesterday evening and on Light DC.
>Lunar Subterrane
kino dungeon, one of the best ones this expansion. I think it's cool how they implemented the flashback as a dungeon instead of being just a cutscene. >Zeromus
Cool music and the fight was ok, haven't done the extreme. >Thaliak
El rotador 3.0. Funny mechanics, dies way too fast. >Llymlaen
Probably my favorite fight of the raid, I really liked the obstacle course mechanic. She still dies a bit too fast. >Oschon
At least this one takes more time. This one gave a lot of troubles to my alliance. Other than that, I can't say anything that grabbed my attention. >Eulogia
Very disappointing, I like how it uses mechanics from the 12 previous bosses but the execution isn't good.
I fricking hate the Azem crystal so much. It was cool the first time but it's totally lost all of its charm by now. We don't need to have an explanation for where our 7 other trial buddies come from every time, and if we have a consistent one we at least don't need to make a big deal of showing it every time. We will never have a threatening antagonist ever again because there's no reason we can't just instantly turn any conflict into an 8v1 and slap their shit in on the spot.
>Wow WoL is sure was lucky that there were 7 adventurers with the echo that were chilling and fishing in Azys Lla, a previously undiscovered floating island, just in time to help you deal with Thordan and the Knights of the Round I don't know what we would have done without them!
>The other 7 players aren't there in the Thordan intro cinematic >Duty finder doesn't mention gathering other adventurers or the like to fight him
Canonically the WoL fights him alone, the other players are there just for gameplay related reasons
The WoL fights Thordan alone, that's why he's scared shitless of you at the end of the fight and asks you what you are. In hindsight, you could say that Haurchefant's death was the catalyst for a powerful surge of dynamis within the WoL (or if you don't want that, just think that the WoL was mad as frick and was able to kill all those primal-like knights without any problems)
Thordan was a fricking old man that had no idea how to fight, as powered up as he was, he still was an upjumped clergyman with zero combat experience. Only the Heavensward were actually dangerous and being the combat autist that WoL was he probably figured how to kill half of them before even reaching Thordan. Considering that WoL makes a fricking hobby of killing primals, turning into a fricking primal was quite possibly the worst thing Thordan could have done, killing him was a victory lap for WoL, kek.
Every time I see a hroth player they look so fricking unfitting with the game. Not only does every other race look more or less human so they stand out a lot, but they also look borderline unfitting in their artstyle and design itself, like they came from a Disney movie instead. Every time I see one I feel some serious uncanny valley creepiness shit.
>WoL needed 23 other adventures to poke Cloud of Darkness in the eye and run >A c**t that was killed by 4 12 year olds
WoL is the weakest FF protagonist.
Having the ability to summon an army of meme potatoes, bikini catgirls, scaly edgelords and naked musclemen to fight for them whenever they want makes them the strongest regardless of their individual strength.
Four twelve-year-olds with the power of the Crystals. Not some shitty mothercrystal aether bullshit, the genuine Pillars of Creation. Juan Fantasia is a WoL only in name.
At this point Green Mage has it in the bag. The clover earring leaves as little to debate as the glimpses we've seen of the Corsair AF in the first trailer.
It has to be a complete reimagining of the job though right? None of this shit is compatible with FFXIV. It will more likely be a druid/shaman type job.
Earring is a red herring that just relates to the story, not Krile's job. She already confirmed her actual job change right before this. It's puppetmaster.
>Another limited job
Unless they fix BLU and/or show that they have learned from their mistakes with the system in the past, it's just going to be another dud that will have a frickton of players at release but have no one interacting with it at all after the first few months, just like IS.
The fact that they STILL haven't taken the free wins from allowing BLU to run around in DD content or even just allowing them to play the MSQ should tell everyone that they don't even wanna bother with the system anymore and would rather just have people forget that it exists entierly. The fact that they are trying to force more 2-min buff/debuff windows onto the job is also telling that they are thinking of maybe turning it into a normal job while just allowing the old spells to exists as cosmetic options for players to chase
>It wouldn't be a limited job
That would be even fricking worse since the devs don't want pet AI anywhere near normal jobs anymore. The quintessential pet job would be completely ruined by it
In all its (limited) appearances in the franchise and tie-in content, Green Mage has had a three leaf clover motif.
The speculation is that the earring is actually Krile's new job crystal.
>The speculation is that the earring is actually Krile's new job crystal.
I don't think that's how job crystals work but I can definitely see people speculating that.
>Leave one male god alive for gay/fujo shipper-gays >Don't leave at least one female god alive for the rest of us to ship our WOL with

There's a gleamer (erenville or vald or whatever, they have like two erens, the black bunny one) outfit too. I suspect that one, the black bunny gleamer one, is going to be cash shop. The one you posted shouldn't be cash shop if they were fricking decent.
>tease characters for 10 years >turns out they are bros and first non-evil entities in the universe that are not WoL's close associates >have them off themselves as a slap to the face >except one fujobait because of course
>go to the American servers >visit balmung >it's literally nothing but psychopaths screaming "PUNCH NAZIS", "trans rights", "if you like lalafell you're a pedophile since they're clearly children" followed by "looking for futa mommy to rape my femboy bunny + cum inflation"
>Make a fight against Llymlaen >"The Navigator" >God of the sea >Doesn't use starboard/larboard names for her attacks >"Left strait / Right strait" instead
They had one fricking job.
>Doesn't use starboard/larboard names for her attacks
That's the English localisation team fricking it up again. She uses port/starboard in other languages.
Dawntrail is going to be the Treaures of Aht Urghan of FFXIV, i don’t see it being anything other than unbridled kino that will save the game from dying and it will probably even get the bald man and his audience playing again
entire AST job quest already established them as basically eastern astrologians, so wouldn't work as cool as it would be
just make it pictomancer, or honestly anything BUT green mage. SE is creatively bankrupt with classes and absolutely will make a green mage actually just a fricking druid which is the most boring shit imaginable
>Both Pandaemonium and the Twelve series have major character deaths at the end >MSQ meanwhile has zero deaths
This has been a recurring pattern with side content having actual consequences and suffering for the characters involved whilst the MSQ is utterly teethless. Why is this the case?
Only the twelve series barely counts, everyone in Pande was long dead and couldn't be saved. Eric, Laha, Bussy, all dead. Eric's reflection doctor could have died, he didn't
Because it's side content and it's more convenient for them if they remove any new character they create so you don't have shit like characters who are closely related to 13th not appearing when the story is about that.
>That spoiler
God that's such a forced fricking meme. She showed up for a patch. Nobody gives a shit about her except they give a shit about Urianger. She's literally getting more press time than Papalymo and Ysayle and Haurchefaunt at this point. Someone on the team has a serious donut-steel-love of Moebrynda, and if not for knowing there's no way some localization gajin has that kind of power I'd blame it on Kate
Well, then you should be able to date her sister, or Yugiri or whoever. The game treating major plot NPCs as completely invisible outside of the MSQ is dumb.
Remember when Urianger showed up for a seasonal event?
Remember times like when Nanamo showed up for the PLD quests?
Why won't they just do that more often? Hell it'd be a great way to let characters keep more relevance as the game goes on instead of having a million who just sit on their asses until the day they die.
Alliance Raid ranking based on story, my opinion is clearly superior to everyone else so it's the best ranking.
Myths of the Realm > Shadows of Mhach > Crystal Tower > Return to Ivalice
I skipped everything on Nier.
Really hope the green mage reveal comes first so can be disappointed faster.
Nature mage is so fricking gay, and that's undoubtedly how SE will theme it since they can't actually make Green Mage how it's supposed to be because that would add depth and complexity to the class, and SE is allergic to that.
>because that would add depth and complexity to the class, and SE is allergic to that.
They are going to end up doing the same to Corsair and you fricking know it. At best they might turn GRM into the first actual support caster that isn't a healer
I don't mention Corsair mostly because I just don't really care about it. The aesthetic is okay if it's a pirate/cartographer sailor kinda vibe, but I can't see the playstyle appealing to me at all. Monk is the only interesting melee DPS imo.
I love casters though and was really hoping for Pictomancer, since paint mages are super rare to see in vidya and often pretty cool, so I'm "losing" that to a stupid ass generic fricking druid.
I would love it if it was a support DPS at least, but I think SE is afraid of making RDM players screech anymore then they already do.
>Yoshi-P suggesting you play the Eden raids actually had a pay off instead of just a one off non voiced line mentioning Gaia/The Empty
Thank you based Yoshi
>Voiced optional interaction if you finished Eden >Can actually mention Unukhalai and Cylva to Zero >Bespoke animation for shaking Zero's hand for Lalas
Is this how it feels when the bare minimum is done? It feels real fricking good guys.
Damn son why are you triggered like a Black person by a word? Would you have been happy if he had said "custom-made" or would you have screeched like a pig that he used stupid dum-dum words instead of something more simple like bespoke?

I know a lot of people are going to bash you over your ignorance, but they need to understand that illiteracy is a very real problem across the globe, especially amongst the poor and minority communities. I want you to know that I stand with you and I hope for your eventual inclusion in intellectual spaces despite your limitations. God bless.

Square, it's like you're TRYING to squander the island's potential.
AST, and SCH for sure. My third would probably be DRK, but Oblation is a necessary evil. I can see an argument for NIN or DRG but neither are jobs I'd call having 'too many' buttons.
If you think DRG has too many buttons you need to rework your bindings; DRG's real issue is being so fricking busy during 2min because of holding spineshatter for burst and having Wyrmwind so it has a shitload of weaves to execute.
PLD doesn't really have a 'too many buttons' issue because its additional buttons are mitigation tools that you're realistically not going to be pressing super often; you're most likely going to be hitting Passage and Divine on separate instances and if you're at all competent about rotating mit the fourth personal mit CD is just kind of useless outside of shit like DSR/TOP - where PLD is miserable anyways because your invuln is a 7 minute CD. I'd say tanks can't really discuss the button issue in any reasonable way because if you don't do ultimates as a tank you never really have to struggle with mitigation and managing the cooldowns. Even then its not till EW where you have to actually consider how to rotate your mit and when to use what where. EX is 1+25 for 90% of TBs, savage is 2+25 or invuln. TBs aren't frequent enough for you to need to be competent about rotating them. If anything, I think you could argue DRK has 'too many buttons' of the tanks, but Oblation cannot be attached to TBN for obvious reasons.
You use it to condense entire combos down into one button because you lack the ability to multitask and your ADHD brain can't handle pressing a few buttons in sequence.
Why pretend like you're "just using it to remove redraw bro i swear"? Why lie?
Yes, going 1-2-3 and then ctrl 1-2-3 changes everything and is a true skill. Please fricking reflect on moronation you spew out.
I actually didn't think it was tbh, but then I learned that there are people like you that cannot manage to do that and solve mechanics at the same time, so they have to get plogon to dumb it down to one button for them

>being this elitist over 1-2-3
if you want to talk about skill go play an actual game that isn't a glorified simon says. You're like the tryhards that take Souls PvP way too fricking seriously when it's just a dumbed down fighting game.
The fact that Viera will forever be terminally associated with xiv instead of any of the actual ivalice games still rankles me on cold winter evenings. didn't you gays have fricking cat girls and dragon girls and shit, wasn't that enough? stop stealing good ideas from other games for your kingdom hearts fanfic tier shit
>noooooo you can't just bring back races from the series!!! they were SPECIAL and UNIQUE to that video game!!!!
you sound like such a fricking dork, anon
au ra are lizard girls, and the creator of Ivalice himself wrote his own world into FFXIV, including things like the clockwork city of Goug and Rabanastre
It's actually insane how disgusting and loathsome the playerbase is, unironically asking people in shout chat to shit and piss on them, "troony rights" this, "troony power" that, homosexual pride and "femboy twink catboy looking to eat shit out of hrothgar daddy's butthole". But mention that lalafell are hot and watch all them them immediately explode into mad hysterics about imaginary and implied pedophilia and how deeply it the very thought offends them.
I guess when your entire culture is built from filth, you're forever paranoid that the one thing you still haven't managed to make mainstream might be the one to bring the whole thing down.
Are you intentionally running into ERP freak venues because I never ran into this, most Ive seen is your typical homosexual shouting stuff like trans rights and nobody reacting but thats hardly exclusive to this game since its just everwhere these days since it's some gays' whole identities.
It's kind of a form of "keep telling yourself that". If he posts it enough times it'll come true. Only weird ERP adjacent thing I've ever seen or personally had in this game was a midlander asking me to rape her in Rhalgr's Reach during Stormblood. I told her I was saving myself for marriage to a lalafell and she went away.
homosexual furries have always been hypocrites. They will ask for horse wieners, dog wieners etc and refer to them by certain names while they are up in arms and calling for the police if female genitalia is depicted. That only changed thanks to MLP, but only partly. They will still question someone who has too realistic art. They don't believe in equal degeneracy for everyone. Never have, never will.
You always need someone more pathetic than you that you can punch no matter how much how weird or creepy you yourself are, and pedophilia is one of the last "safe" targets. For Ganker it's the exact same thing except with trannies.
FFXIV is mostly known for being the world's largest open-air insane asylum. most people who play FFXIV belong in padded jackets. if you try to e-date a girl who plays this godforsaken game... you can't be helped
>burnt out on the game wasn't going to bother playing this patch >friend suggests fishing
its so fricking tedious but somehow super addictive. i just sat at a hole for 15 minutes pressing hook again and didn't get a single ferocious bite but somehow i want to continue
Now that all the 12 have been revealed, who's the sexiest?
Clearly you're not a mount autist otherwise you would have been subbed for your PvP track, so if you don't care about that, I'm gonna say no. If you come back in January when we get the last of the story content, you'll have enough and then some to last you until the expac comes out.
Wait a minute, are you telling me this Patch was only the MSQ and the Alliance Raid and at the end of month the new variant criterion and then nothing until January that is only Hildi and a few quests more?
if yshtola wasnt a catgirl she would be the most hated character in the game
she has been in the game for a decade with absolutely 0 character development, any kind of arc, and exists solely to provide plot device fixers and spout exposition
name one aspect of yshtolas personality other than being knowledgable
if krile wasnt a lalafell she would be the most hated character in the game
she has been in the game for a decade, having more content that *any other character* including the entirety of Eureka with absolutely 0 character development, any kind of arc, and exists solely to provide plot device fixers and spout exposition
Krile isn't part of the main cast, and the scene where she talks to WoL before the Scions leave for Ultima Thule is a more personal scene than any Y'Shtola is involved in
She’s stern, caring, a strong leader, and unmoved even in the face of impossible odds. She breaks before she bends. The children of the night wouldn’t have survived without her leadership.
>The children of the night wouldn’t have survived without her leadership
[citation needed]
They existed long before she arrived on the First, and we're only told she did stuff, but none of it is ever shown. Realistically she's the exact same character as in ARR, and the only real difference is that she's memed for getting bonked on the head with a book and doing a magical girl summoning.
Alphinaud, Alisaie, Thancred and Estinien are all very different than when we first met them. Urianger is much the same, but he's a reserved guy who has shown more what he's really inside.
>and we're only told she did stuff, but none of it is ever shown.
Do the Pixie quests and watch the ShB trailer. They literally did show every detail of it.
she doesnt ever lead, she leaves everything up to the wol or minfillia before that and just smugly spouts exposition.
unmoved in the face of impossible odds is true of every single scion and main character in the game
Sassy, caring but takes absolutely no shit from anyone, martyr syndrome, slightly vain and prideful, likes food (not that you'd find out ingame when she gets eclipsed by G'raha and Zero in that department).
Green mage would imply we would have to deal with the elementals and the p*djals even more, frick that.
Unless they do a surprise reveal of making p*djals a playable race
Why are you equating Green Mage with Conjurer? We have no prior mention of Green Magic in FFXIV lore, it could be a South Island lalafell or New World or Meracydia thing for all we know.
>four (4) years after release >still can't wear visible hats >mod made by one guy supports over 1500 hats and they all have practical ear hole
I dare you to defend this.
Now that Endwalker is completely over I can easily say that it is the worst expansion the game has ever had. It is honestly extremely disappointing how horribly they handled the game.
>I'll ask again why people think Y'shtola is an actual character! >Surely this time I'll get the response I actually want instead of the same one I got the previous 50 times.

Iridikron and Xal’Atath will open the way for the void lords to consume Azeroth so most of the planet will be covered in void. (In the sense that some zones will be separated by void while other completely engulfed by it). It’s the best way we found to make a revamp without having to do everything at once. So we’ll start by having access to a few zone and we’ll expand with time. It’s done that way because we started all the zones from scratch. We realized very early that old zone are about 1/3 - 1/4 the size of modern ones and keeping them this size felt off.
The focus is not ONLY on the void. The xpac takes place in Lordaeron and Quel’Thalas/Quel’Danas (Quel’Thalas is gorgeous). Scarlet are a problem. What’s left of the Scourge is a small problem. And having everyone stuck in this small zone is a problem because of resources. And of course void creatures.
Lordaeron City is the main hub. Main cast is Thrall, Jaina, Velen, Calia, Lilian Voss with some familiar faces having smaller roles as well.
Fun fact: We made the Vindicaar crash at the beginning to explain why we don’t use it to go to other zones. That’s also why Velen is there.
The point is having more zones opening with time and finding out what happened there during that time. These zones will have their own issues as well so not everything is related to void. We didn’t want a Cata 2.0 in 10 years. There’s an in-game explanation as to why we can’t open portal to other zones. I think it was because of leylines corrupted by void or something, unless they changed it since I left.
Also, Bronze dragons allow us to go back in time to the normal, now old, zones. Cause we still gotta have access to capital cities and stuff.
All that to say that we’ve been working our ass off in the last couple of years making this. I see a lot of assets getting leaked and there are MUCH more. I hope you guys like it.
True.
Too bad they stop doing anything to bosses after you leave arr and regular enemies in the overworld are so pathetic you don't ever have to use the potions on them.
>Expect a full reimagining like Sage.
Oh boy, can't wait for it to be >Cast spells while gauge fills >Use gauge to cast bigger spells >Repeat for entire fight
No the colors never made any sense, they just called them by whatever attire they're wearing. Green Mage is a buff/debuff job as far I see but there's no chance of that being a thing in FFXIV.
It's a job dedicated exclusively to buffs/debuffs (see pic rel). How they could translate that into XIV is a complete mystery. It will most likely get the Sage treatment and be Green Mage only in name.
What the literal frick was that 24 man? It's like they just gave up or didn't have enough devs to work on it because of ff16 dlc. The final boss song wasn't even good compared to the first two.
I assumed it would be us fighting all the twelve, but having it be a combination boss is pretty lame. Do something else for once, like have 3 targetable bosses on the arena and have them swap with bosses outside after they do a mechanic. Then you could focus on nuking one of the bosses that has annoying moves etc.
Same, but they've been cutting DoTs out every where they could, so I really doubt a new DoT job is in their future plans. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they finally take the plunge and nuke BRD DoTs with Dawntrail.
Imagine if they added a DoT job and on the patch day you ran alliance raid roulette for the XP and you couldn't even use your abilities because your alliance had 15 dot jobs because everyone wants to level it and the boss only has 12 debuff slots or whatever dumb shit they have.
>Imagine if they added a DoT job and on the patch day you ran alliance raid roulette for the XP and you couldn't even use your abilities because your alliance had 15 dot jobs because everyone wants to level it and the boss only has 12 debuff slots or whatever dumb shit they have.
That's exactly what happened with EW. Every Bozja FATE/CE had the boss saddled with three dozen instances of the RPR debuff and the SGE DoT.
Although it is only a problem in content that goes beyond 24 man. In a 24 man, the current debuff slot limit is enough for everyone to get their debuffs off even if every single DPS in your party were a Bard.
>don't do hector strats
I am so glad I was almost done with P12S reclears the week he shat out his "guide" for it. People started using the most moronic strats just because he talked about them.
>the same person that wrote 6.x will write DT and 7.x
at least shartwalker had few moments in the msq, but DT will be a clean slate that this writer will meticulously smear with his own doodoo caca
6.X was written by a team of newbie writers supervised by Ishikawa and Oda. It was a test for a new batch of writers. Hiroi (the DT writer) has only written Pandemonium this expansion.
Its the opposite
I dont remember which stream it was on but i can guarantee that post patches are written by "kohai" under Ishikawa and Hiroi is full on Panda+lead writer for Dawntrail

I think we're agreeing, Ishikawa hasn't written the MSQ after 6.0 but I don't remember seeing them naming any names for 7.0 besides saying it's new people. So I don't know if you can say the same dude who wrote the patch quests will do 7.0, or that DT is gonna be by the guy who wrote Bozja or any of the speculation above in the quote chain.

They said that Hiroi will be a new lead writer for DT(basically Ishikawas role in shb) and showed us what he wrote for the game(Panda, supporting position for Bozja and Ivalice raids, bard and blm quests after 50-60 and something else)
And on the same stream i think they said that Ishikawa is promoted to be a supervisor and she will watch a new team of writers developing 6.1-6.5
>Ryne explains to Zero how the Night's Blessed don't use real names because they believe your real name being exposed is a curse and it will become tainted by the light. >Literal first thing Runar says on meeting is your name.
I'm the motherfricking Warrior of Darkness. The goddamn dude he was worshipping in that funeral scene. Even the Crystarium and Eulmore citiziens call me like that.
What, does he think the night sky just randomly happened to return to all the world at the same time I arrived from another world by pure chance?
That's a title, not a stage name for the religion's purpose. As far as Runar knows you did give him a fake name, or he doesn't care and acknowledges you're an outsider who just won't, since he doesn't ram Dark worship down anyone's throats.
>6.0 >rally the alliance and non-tempered garleans to retake their home from a fandaniel possessed varis >fight unending waves of laboratory abominations (fandaniel is a master flesh crafter) >7.0 >endwalker with total apocalypse >all side content buds come together to assist in the defense of their world
Why not rewrite dynamis as a god particle instead of the space emotion magic? Hydalaens sundering fricked with the dynamis and caused it to split into the six elements we see today. Eithyris is stuck in its own pocket dimension.
>the 'does it for free' Black person who revealed he doesn't even play the game is still shitting up threads
You probably still think we're on 6.1 don't you buddy?
you don't
you accept that SE has made healers an optional job, only really needed when bad randoms are around.
you instead hope that SE just removes healers as a whole because they clearly aren't going to make them mandatory or at least fun to play, so may as well delete them and redesign fights around not having them
you then realize that neither of these will happen and healers will only get more boring to play
🙂
I wonder if the gods dying is a frick you to all the forum morons who insist that the moment a character's storyline is complete they should get killed off.
>oh god they are gonna make accidentally create Sin
Spira expansion
Get ready >Blitzball is the melee job >the sword in the trailer is actually for the magic job >tropical setting
The frick did the twelve ever do anyway besides being Koji's go-to for funny ways to curse? The last time they were plot relevant was probably 1.0 and I didn't play that shit.
And hold on, human Primal summoning magic was fricking created by the Ascians as offbrand creation magic anyway. Did Venat create the Twelve in response to that, or did she create them before? If the Twelve were stopping Primals of themselves from being created because of the one summon rule, why didn't the Ascians just remove that rule, since it's just an arbitrary condition that wasn't part of creation magic originally anyway???
what if theres major gameplay changes coming 7.0 and you can actually reduce boss accuracy and increase ranged/physical vulnerability, and you can choose to increase dot potency or reduce mp cost for abilities of other jobs with green mage
doesnt sound that hard to balance
>reduce boss accuracy
So it does 10% less damage for 10 seconds.
>increase ranged/physical vulnerability
Also magical and it's 5% for 10 seconds.
>you can choose to increase dot potency
Ok this is too stupid to even try to brainstorm into current XIV.
>reduce mp cost for abilities of other jobs
This is just pointless since no jobs have problems with their MP.
iterating again on this:
GRN >you can constantly put up a debuff on the boss to increase melee damage or ranged damage, PLD is better with ranged and GNB is better melee etc etc >on a 120 cooldown you can choose to increase potency of dots of other people or you can just use some high potency skill, both share same cd > on a 60 cd you can refresh mp for everyone or reduce boss damage for 5 secs and 10s of less accuracy, both share same cd > on a 240 cd you can remove all range and positional requirements for all jobs and increase damage by 10%, or you can cast giga dot on the boss with 20% damage reduction. Both skills can only be activated after 240 seconds have passed in combat and both skills share a cd
just setting myself for disappointment but hey its fun to speculate
i cant tell if i'm just burnt out or the last few patches have just been genuinely that bad
the wrap up of the story was fricking atrocious, it was SO corny/cheesy and you could have predicted every single aspect of it several patches ago. Really fricking boring.
the dungeon was ok aesthetically but a joke mechanically, and the trial just felt like reskinned Zodiark.
i pray to god the alliance raid is at least somewhat adequate
>play a game meant for children and families >surprised that the themes and characters aren't anything deeper then Saturday morning cartoons >get actively upset about it
You guys are doing this to yourselves, you're supposed to laugh at it while talking to your friends. Here's a free tip, if you can tell the writers don't really care about consistent tone and characterization in the very thing they're paid to write, then you shouldn't either.
>literally one singular event in over a decade of story patches was somewhat unexpected (Haurchefants death) >is still the most talked about story moment to this date, 8 years later
hmm i wonder if theres anything that could be drawn from this...
not my fault its mandatory for everything else that we sit through this fan fiction tier drivel
I didn't understand it back then and I still don't understand it now why people pretended to care about his death. It's absolutely overblown.
it is quite literally the only event that has happened in the MSQ at any point that could not have been deduced by a toddler several patches in advance. The MSQ has never had a shocking, surprising moment, a clever twist, or anything of the sort. Even the lore reveals in EW just made the overall worldbuilding objectively worse. Horrendous expansion

A single line of throwaway dialogue on a choice I made 10 years ago that I was waiting on the outcome of. At least I know that I fricked my patron deity in my past life and she is/was a figurative and literal hottie.
It's only weird if the only RPGs you play are J. WRPGs have had silent protagonists forever and since Mass Effect there have been only a small burst of outliers.

How about I fufill these NUTS on your forehead?
Isn't that the exact mindset that the ancients had and was responsible for literally everything?
And that's why they left, they're still ancients with their mindset.
Shit that's also why they didn't take an active role in our development outside of fixing calamities.
Uh no, Hermes is portrayed as a villain anon and his reflections are completely insane
>You don't get anything based on your patron deity
This is such a missed opportunity, I don't fricking understand why they don't give you a title or fricking anything

Endwalker was pretty bad. Whatsitsname hopefully leaves it all behind and never brings it up again.
>Entire lv. 90 MSQ is about confronting civilizations that committed collective suicide
>But the guardians of Eorzea commiting suicide by WoL is fine
Opo-opo > twitter bird, simple as
The difference is that they were constructs, they had lived for 12,000 years, their disappearance WAS an act of love and sacrifice (more life can be born EXPLICITLY because they're not using up prayers), and because they now know humanity are suitable stewards that can be completely trusted with the world. There's a reason Answers played during a part of it
>To all of my children in whom Life flows abundant
>To all of my children to whom Death hath passed his judgement
>The soul yearns for honor, and the flesh the hereafter
>Look to those who walked before to lead those who walk after
It was less a case of society basically LowTierGod'ing them when they did their job and more
>Holy frick it's been 12,000 years of this and we now know beyond a shadow of a doubt that mankind doesn't need us and are probably better off without us
>Time to bow out and trust the star to them, like they deserve
>And now we'll die, to let all the aether we took to exist return to the natural cycle.
>Ok well that's sad but I guess it does make sense, after all if your mere existence is a detriment then I gue-
>Btw Oschon is just giving up the aether but is gonna continue living and travelling because he doesn't want to die.
The 12 didn't kill themselves because they got too bored from a perfect existence you speed reader
wait can I get the rundown on this whole gods alliance raid? they're not gods?
They're constructs (read primals) created from memories of existing ancients by Venat to watch over the Source. In the end they collected so much aether from prayers they decided to pour it all into the star, created a device that will relay energy from prayers to the star as well, and went into lifestream (read killed themselves). All except Oschon since he got too attached (to opo-opo, the star and (you)) and decided to live the rest of his days as a mortal.
Can't wait to have to deal with another twink I don't like
>Spoiler
I fricking called it as far back as 6.1, it should have been obvious for anyone paying attention during the first scenes with the gods and after what happened in 6.0. The ending of their arc feels like a complete asspull though
and this happened before and we witness past events, or does it literally happen as we finish the raid, making us the reason why all gods are gone and people's prayers won't be listened ever again?
>does it literally happen as we finish the raid
Yes. They are basically commiting suicide by WoL
>collected so much aether from prayers
This was shit.
ZODIARK
TRANCE
the twelve exist as worship conduits and a planted religion for humans, as primals already summoned it renders humans unable to summon them in times of duress
Nothing that happened before shb matters
have a nice day.
Uuhh shbbab melty
>Did the Ascians even know the Twelve existed?
Yes. Emet-Selch straight up says it
Then why did an Ascian try to get Rhalgr summoned?
Lahabrea is a dementia addled moron. That's why
That's dumb. I don't want the story to get worse and the characters turn into bigger morons the more I think about it.
sylphs aren't summoning rhalgr, they're summoning ramuh, a separate entity inspired by rhalgr
they could have tried to summon rhalgr but it wouldn't work, the ascians aren't omniscient and the twelve are moron secretive by design
trying to nudge eorzea away from their predominant religion would probably not end well for the ascians
Rhalgr straight up says Ramuh is an approximation of him
So what, are you telling me every culture on Etheirys has the exact same image of Rhalgr in their heads?
All the far east homies don't even worship the Twelve.
Far east homies don't summon kami to do their bidding either, that's pretty explicitly a western invention in the setting. Hell Susano is a "pure" primal years before summoning magic was even stated to be corrupt since he was brought in by his artifacts coming together and wasn't actually summoned by anyone.
>Far east homies don't summon kami to do their bidding either,
Why? Doesn't that mean the Twelve were unnecessary from the start? Glorious nippon culture is clearly superior to the Eorzean gaijin.
Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?
>trying to nudge eorzea away from their predominant religion would probably not end well for the ascians
Why? It should have been incredibly easy. Skinjack prominent religious figures, or start new cults. They've literally created entire civilizations before.
>Why?
because it glows in the fricking dark and their thing is secrecy, subverting existing civilizations through any means that isn't raising up an empire to crush them isn't their forte. emet doesn't hang around in civilizations he starts, lahabrea prefers the direct approach when possible, elidibus eats his own poo, and smaller ascians wank about their golems being invincible
>because it glows in the fricking dark
Everything they do glows in the dark, never stopped them before. Also Emet ruled Garlemald for like 80 years.
Supplanting an existing religion should be an incredibly easy project given their abilities.
clearly you're interested in talking about this and not giving your mission statement over and over
Yes, I am. If I don't think you're giving a good argument I'm not obligated to agree with you. Are YOU interested in not just repeating the same logic and refusing to be open to opposing ideas?
And hold on, human Primal summoning magic was fricking created by the Ascians as offbrand creation magic anyway. Did Venat create the Twelve in response to that, or did she create them before? If the Twelve were stopping Primals of themselves from being created because of the one summon rule, why didn't the Ascians just remove that rule, since it's just an arbitrary condition that wasn't part of creation magic originally anyway???
The Twelve and the Watcher were created from the Souls of Venat's group.
That doesn't tell us when they were made.
summoning and creation magic works differently when summoning the XIV rendition of an eidolon and i don't think they have to or even should explain it beyond their existing given "somehow the lifestream just knows which specific soulstuff in it makes up the core of a specific primal, and that soulstuff can't be in two places at once"
The Twelve were a foolproof method of providing a greater power to appeal and pray to that wouldn't destroy the world or temper homies.
Prayer diverts aether to the object of worship. This has always been the case.
I thought the whole storyline was really good. Even outside of having Oschon as my patron.
>gods always watched over the world and did their best for it
>genuinely loved mankind and the world
>were so moved by mankind's ability to protect their world from the end of days, they're able to trust mankind as full stewards
>realize they're no longer needed
>willingly relinquish their power to mankind so new life can be born and man can fully steer the world
>Oschon, whose job was to walk among man as a god to let the others know what they needed, grew so attached to those he met that he didn't want to leave
>so he gives up his divinity to live a full life as a man before joining his compatriots or 12000 years
Honestly made me get a bit teary-eyed.
Are you a woman
No. Are you a homosexual?
Post-EW has fricking sucked.
To be honest everything since the start of ShB has fricking sucked besides Werlyt and some parts of EW's MSQ.
But the Alliance Raid is I think the most absolutely egregious part of it all, and has genuinely killed the remaining interest I have in XIV's writing.
6.0 was absurdly bad as well, let's not mince words.
There were good parts, but there were also incredibly bad parts too.
That's what DT is for.
Sure. But as of right now it feels bad.
I will happily change my tune if DT “fixes” this.
They've genuinely tried to strip all the mystery and mysticism out of the game in favor of absolute garbage.
troony spotted
Silence, ShadowBlack person.
Sounds like there’s more narrative to uncover then, tell me about the specifics of the second eras.
That's exactly it. There should be a lot more going on than Ancients and Allagans. The only thing we maybe know about the Second Astral Era is Ivalice, and that's not even confirmed, it's just speculation based on some lore clues.
We are in direct contact with allagans and the ancients why are you mad the story doesn’t randomly pivot to unrelated things.
Like imagine, in the context of EW, if myths of the realm ackshully uncovered the 12 were creations of the grand lala wizard Scrimbla Schala from the hidden kingdom of Zeal centuries past. Like what the frick Black person that would be moronic. You need prior buildup.
>We are in direct contact with allagans and the ancients why are you mad the story doesn’t randomly pivot to unrelated things.
>Your argument is that because every storyline in the past 13 years leads to Allagans and Ancients that the storyline should never connect to any other possible civilization across 12,000 years of world history.
No it’s not, you are a disingenuous schizophrenic. Have a good day, be sure to take your meds.
This schizo has been typing paragraphs about le demystification the atto second the patch dropped, easiest way to ignore a post
>1.0 writing baggage
>baggage
It was. Yda's resistance background was one.
You will defend this. For free.
lol, source? I wanna read the whole thing and just bask in the future landfill this game will become.

>so desperate he's replying to himself
is this the limit of the doomies power?
Ywnbaw
Kek what a joke.
replying to yourself. for free
Oschon is the canonical patron deity of the WoL
the traders make more sense because in the first one of the fairies can't decide whether to call you warrior of light or warrior of darkness
>hrothgays spent the last 2 years drawing their femroths as these big muscle furry girls
>in-game model shows up and they're just miqo'te 2
l o l
l m a o
No one should be surprised
hroths don't look like ronso though
I'd play them if they did
If XI got them they probably would've. XIV tends to go with the token versions of everything lately. I don't know why yoship is so allergic to adapting tropes to fit with xiv instead of just ctrl + v'ing things from other FF games not caring if they fit the style.
I've been calling them being Bless-like Highlander Miqo'te for years. Bestial furgay tears will be delicious.
no one's going to play them anyways so who cares
they're clearly just the token "furry" race
I will. Have a couple fantasias from years ago saved specifically for this race option being added.
>no ass
Pfff AHAHAHAHAHAHA
No race has ass in this game unless you equip Type B Leggings.
Everyone has huge tit options though, I think its weird that the devs don't add an ass slider like they have for breasts, it could even pull double duty and give gays, women and trannies something to look at when they make male characters
I guess having legwear adjust to different sizes would be too much effort.
Source or information on how/what model to load? I want to compare size with other races so I know how much copium to huff
I hope the female ones at least have a fricking normal spine.
not the person you were responding to but i was hoping for tall, thin furry girls similar to the image of the queen we got in bozja
We are most likely going to get that, or something approximating it. Assuming the placeholder isn't fricky the girl has a waist close to an au ra male's.
I hope that's the kind of armor looks we'll be getting in Tural because I've been wanting something that looks loosely like that.
troonyface
I'm sorry, I hadn't realized you are homosex. I have prepared some art that is more to your liking.
The clothing actually looks really good. The materials look realistic and the textures aren't jagged at all. I just hope the updated player models have good looking hands and feet because they look fricking horrendous right now
>miqo'te 2
is there a datamine or something? ive been dying to know if i should bother switching or not
>is there a datamine or something?
There is no actual model to mine. It's a free standing pair of legs and nothing more.
lmao. i literally just got to the part in the MSQ after posting my message. i understand now
Since they expected datamining they put just legs out but you can get a good inference from that. Probably will know before 6.55 from fanfests though
My adventurer wife, Oschon, was very cute.
>Kate will be fine
>character that is meant to be insufferable and hyperbolizing her complaints
>the only responses you have to her are "Will you shut the frick up if I make you a chair?" and reluctantly offering help
Could have picked better examples.
>forgot to cancel pasture management
IT'S SO OVER
>OH NO I FORGOT TO POOPSOCK ISLAND SANCTUARY
the absolute state of you gays
I need to do it asap to leave it for good once I hit 20 and the progression of this slop stops.
I play for feet and boots and high heel mods.
inb4 findom homosexualry
ai sloppa?
yes
boobafell
wonder how other races would look but i only care for lalafell
can't be asked to prompt shit on that bing garbo. prompts fail like 90% of the time
yeah bing is unreliable because of the insane censorship but it comes out with some good results from time to time
Will there finally be huge tiddy lalas thanks the AI slop?
The new commendation crystals will be used to buy old feast gear. Screencap this.
Cucked yoshipiss was scared to add e-girl but didn't mind to add homosexuals.
>still no updated dalamud
Wish XIVCombo was it's own thing as that and noclippy are what I miss the most.
>XIVCombo
do xivtrannies really?
dalamud beta has been up for HOURS. A lot of addons (at least most of the ones I have) are still not working, but I think noclippy is working fine
Disappointed by the lack of bunny girls in this thread. Shit thread.
Thank frick Zero didn't end up joining the scions. I almost deleted my PLD gearset then and there.
Same. Holy frick what a relief. I legit thought they have enough brainpower to force this shit into 7.0
Would it have killed them to give Golbez an Ardbert face since he clearly is the azem shard of the XIIIth?
They're saving the reveal until we return to the Void in DT exploratory content and we'll get to fight the real Golbez when he's extracted from the Memoriate crystal by a bad guy and corrupted
Now that would be cool, I'd really enjoy Bozja XIII since clearly everything going on in the Matsuno stories has been dropped forever to the point of characters dying offscreen.
Viera males are also frickable.
are they going to use the joke models for the new relic step?
They should add them permanently to the saucer at the same time as the Fall Guys collab, it would be crowded as frick in there
Anyone got a good guide for Zeromus? I want to try doing both this and the Unreal and see where it takes me.
The wol is just supposed to be a self insert not an actual character. People cope by saying that it gets better but your character is just a way for you to be immersed in the world and that's not a bad thing.
>Do Zeromus for the first time
>Fun ass fight, enjoyed it
>Warrior MT couldn't stop talking and complaining about the music during the first phase
>Called everyone else tasteless zoomers for liking it
>Left saying that the only good music was the last part and that he was the only one with any taste there
Which one of you was it because I haven't seen a biggest display of shit taste in a while
It was me, frick you and frick Soken. If I want EDM I will play a REAL game.
I'd find it really funny if you were actually him because he was straight up writing like he was in these threads, I did it yesterday evening and on Light DC.
>EU
Nvm it wasn't me.
Darn, well you have a soulmate in Europe, now you know
>Lunar Subterrane
kino dungeon, one of the best ones this expansion.
>The other 7 players aren't there in the Thordan intro cinematic
>Duty finder doesn't mention gathering other adventurers or the like to fight him
Canonically the WoL fights him alone, the other players are there just for gameplay related reasons
Considering that WoL makes a fricking hobby of killing primals, turning into a fricking primal was quite possibly the worst thing Thordan could have done, killing him was a victory lap for WoL, kek.
why are lalagays so insufferable
Every time I see a hroth player they look so fricking unfitting with the game. Not only does every other race look more or less human so they stand out a lot, but they also look borderline unfitting in their artstyle and design itself, like they came from a Disney movie instead. Every time I see one I feel some serious uncanny valley creepiness shit.
Doesn't help when 99% of Hroth players wear second life tier casual glam.
When they're in normal armor they look fine.
>WoL needed 23 other adventures to poke Cloud of Darkness in the eye and run
>A c**t that was killed by 4 12 year olds
WoL is the weakest FF protagonist.
Having the ability to summon an army of meme potatoes, bikini catgirls, scaly edgelords and naked musclemen to fight for them whenever they want makes them the strongest regardless of their individual strength.
If he summons a party of french catboys he's fricked.
Sometimes the dice just goes wrong
Four twelve-year-olds with the power of the Crystals. Not some shitty mothercrystal aether bullshit, the genuine Pillars of Creation. Juan Fantasia is a WoL only in name.
Honestly the characters in FF are kinda ugly.
It's funny how azeyma lines has some weird implications
Well, not that it matters since she's dead, lol
Giant redheads exist only to get cucked. Feo Ul is fricked.
Yoshit Piss:
>Killed FFXIV
>Killed FFXVI
>Killed Fall Guys
What's next?
Chaos.
>green mage
>pictomancer
>puppetmaster
Who will win the magebowl?
At this point Green Mage has it in the bag. The clover earring leaves as little to debate as the glimpses we've seen of the Corsair AF in the first trailer.
It has to be a complete reimagining of the job though right? None of this shit is compatible with FFXIV. It will more likely be a druid/shaman type job.
>It has to be a complete reimagining of the job though right?
DRK, SGE
Dark Knight is pretty close to the original job identity
you mean pvp drk right?
Of course, same as they did with Sage. FFXIV has nothing to do with previous FF Sage except for the name.
Not conclusive evidence
>know Krile is changing jobs in DT
>receives an earring shaped as a three-leaf clover in the penultimate patch before DT
Keep huffing the "not conclusive" copium.
There's only been what 3 games that Green Mage has been in and the only constant has been wearing green
The clover motif was used again recently in the gacha.
I don't see any clover there.
Earring is a red herring that just relates to the story, not Krile's job. She already confirmed her actual job change right before this. It's puppetmaster.
Puppet might be a limited job. I can see it being either or since beastmaster would definitely be a limited job, but puppet can work as either.
It wouldn't be a limited job, since it would be one of the two new DT jobs.
>It wouldn't be a limited job
That would be even fricking worse since the devs don't want pet AI anywhere near normal jobs anymore. The quintessential pet job would be completely ruined by it
Oh this is why people are saying green mage? Because it's green?
New forced meme like westwolves
I mean we're going WEST so Westwolftards were actually right. Maybe there's something to green after all. Ninja Turtles are green too.
>Ninja Turtles are green too.
Shell was one of the signature spells of Green Mage too.
IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW
Prepull buffing everyone with Shell/Protect, here we go again.
In all its (limited) appearances in the franchise and tie-in content, Green Mage has had a three leaf clover motif.
The speculation is that the earring is actually Krile's new job crystal.
>is actually Krile's new job crystal.
That is not what job crystals look like at all.
>The speculation is that the earring is actually Krile's new job crystal.
I don't think that's how job crystals work but I can definitely see people speculating that.
Summoner already fills puppetmaster role of a pet caster

There's a gleamer (erenville or vald or whatever, they have like two erens, the black bunny one) outfit too. I suspect that one, the black bunny gleamer one, is going to be cash shop. The one you posted shouldn't be cash shop if they were fricking decent.
The gleaner outfit is the final reward from the new Custom Deliveries.

I still don't understand why they "promoted" Ishikawa to supervising. She's still very young, it's not like she's going to die any time soon.
It's highly likely that she's working on another game
She's very obviously working on FF XVII's preproduction.
Endwalker killed the game, and DT will bury it
Dawntrail is going to be the Treaures of Aht Urghan of FFXIV, i don’t see it being anything other than unbridled kino that will save the game from dying and it will probably even get the bald man and his audience playing again
>Treaures of Aht Urghan of FFXIV
What does this even mean?
Greenmage is a horrible choice
Just make it geomancer, the four lords arc already established them as basically asian casters
Fengshui people to death
entire AST job quest already established them as basically eastern astrologians, so wouldn't work as cool as it would be
just make it pictomancer, or honestly anything BUT green mage. SE is creatively bankrupt with classes and absolutely will make a green mage actually just a fricking druid which is the most boring shit imaginable
>Both Pandaemonium and the Twelve series have major character deaths at the end
>MSQ meanwhile has zero deaths
This has been a recurring pattern with side content having actual consequences and suffering for the characters involved whilst the MSQ is utterly teethless. Why is this the case?
Only the twelve series barely counts, everyone in Pande was long dead and couldn't be saved. Eric, Laha, Bussy, all dead. Eric's reflection doctor could have died, he didn't
Because it's side content and it's more convenient for them if they remove any new character they create so you don't have shit like characters who are closely related to 13th not appearing when the story is about that.
>schizos already got to lvl 20 island

God that's such a forced fricking meme. She showed up for a patch. Nobody gives a shit about her except they give a shit about Urianger. She's literally getting more press time than Papalymo and Ysayle and Haurchefaunt at this point. Someone on the team has a serious donut-steel-love of Moebrynda, and if not for knowing there's no way some localization gajin has that kind of power I'd blame it on Kate
Moen would have been an obvious scion but they had to kill her off because she would have overshadowed the WoL
Shut up Urianger
I really wish they would use some of the MSQ NPCs for cute stuff like that for once. Y'shtola dating never ;_;
>Y'shtola dating never
her sister is better
Well, then you should be able to date her sister, or Yugiri or whoever. The game treating major plot NPCs as completely invisible outside of the MSQ is dumb.
Remember when Urianger showed up for a seasonal event?
Remember times like when Nanamo showed up for the PLD quests?
Why won't they just do that more often? Hell it'd be a great way to let characters keep more relevance as the game goes on instead of having a million who just sit on their asses until the day they die.
when did y'shtola get such a fat brapper?
Do not be fooled by this game's flat af vanilla models that all characters must share, there is a canonical badonkadonk hiding in there.

What were they thinking
Alliance Raid ranking based on story, my opinion is clearly superior to everyone else so it's the best ranking.
Myths of the Realm > Shadows of Mhach > Crystal Tower > Return to Ivalice
I skipped everything on Nier.
So London: Corsair full reveal, femHroth reveal.
Tokyo: Green Mage full reveal, benchmark with character creation?

Is combo plogon online yet
you could try getting decent at the game and not being reliant on a plogon, anon 🙂
Yes, more buttons on piano keyboard good
Efficient design bad
Not him. There are maybe 3 jobs in the entire game that have 'too many' buttons, and I strongly doubt you are playing any of them.
DRG, AST, PLD, SCH?
Yes, going 1-2-3 and then ctrl 1-2-3 changes everything and is a true skill. Please fricking reflect on moronation you spew out.
I actually didn't think it was tbh, but then I learned that there are people like you that cannot manage to do that and solve mechanics at the same time, so they have to get plogon to dumb it down to one button for them
>Nooooo you cannot make UI better!!!!!

Why is this so common
Because catgirls cafes are a thing
The fact that Viera will forever be terminally associated with xiv instead of any of the actual ivalice games still rankles me on cold winter evenings. didn't you gays have fricking cat girls and dragon girls and shit, wasn't that enough? stop stealing good ideas from other games for your kingdom hearts fanfic tier shit
>noooooo you can't just bring back races from the series!!! they were SPECIAL and UNIQUE to that video game!!!!
you sound like such a fricking dork, anon
I agree. For compensation they should put the concept art Au Ra in a numbered entry as a playable character
au ra are lizard girls, and the creator of Ivalice himself wrote his own world into FFXIV, including things like the clockwork city of Goug and Rabanastre
The only ERP related shit I’ve seen is unironically some malera sending me some gay flirt
homosexual furries have always been hypocrites.
Those trannies and gays also dislike straight shota, one of the most normal fetish there is so you know they are evil people
Trannies and shotagays are equally disgusting and pathetic. Nice try though
Didn't ask ntr gay
>Grasping at air
Nice try though homosexual
You always need someone more pathetic than you that you can punch no matter how much how weird or creepy you yourself are, and pedophilia is one of the last "safe" targets. For Ganker it's the exact same thing except with trannies.
Should I play this game? Will it make me coom?
Sure.
It will make you coom more if you're a girl or gay though.
Like you wouldn't believe

He was actually right. People get bored, but are too afraid to admit it, so they just say "burnt out" instead
I unsubbed in 6.1, is there anything worth coming back for yet?
6.1 was the best patch and it gradually became worse. 6.4 MSQ was insultingly bad
Nymeia
Azeyma, and her clearly being ready to frick during her conversation isn’t coloring my opinion at all.
Wait a minute, are you telling me this Patch was only the MSQ and the Alliance Raid and at the end of month the new variant criterion and then nothing until January that is only Hildi and a few quests more?
Is this your first update?
It's my worst update for sure.
Make every raid mandatory
if yshtola wasnt a catgirl she would be the most hated character in the game
she has been in the game for a decade with absolutely 0 character development, any kind of arc, and exists solely to provide plot device fixers and spout exposition
name one aspect of yshtolas personality other than being knowledgable
She liked magical girls when she was little
I agree with you
if krile wasnt a lalafell she would be the most hated character in the game
she has been in the game for a decade, having more content that *any other character* including the entirety of Eureka with absolutely 0 character development, any kind of arc, and exists solely to provide plot device fixers and spout exposition
She's really fricking boring
>and we're only told she did stuff, but none of it is ever shown.
Do the Pixie quests and watch the ShB trailer. They literally did show every detail of it.
sorry, I won't do quests that kate ruined
Alisaie hasn't changed at all.
she doesnt ever lead, she leaves everything up to the wol or minfillia before that and just smugly spouts exposition.
unmoved in the face of impossible odds is true of every single scion and main character in the game
>Green mage would imply we would have to deal with the elementals and the p*djals
Why? They could link it to something entirely different lorewise.
They're the resident druid race
Why are you equating Green Mage with Conjurer? We have no prior mention of Green Magic in FFXIV lore, it could be a South Island lalafell or New World or Meracydia thing for all we know.
and?
sex with krile
Do you think Krile has ever taken a roegadyn wiener in both holes at the same time.
>four (4) years after release
>still can't wear visible hats
>mod made by one guy supports over 1500 hats and they all have practical ear hole
I dare you to defend this.
A subhuman race played exclusively by subhumans gets subhuman treatment.
Seems like everything is working the way it should to me.
Okay cultist.
Now that Endwalker is completely over I can easily say that it is the worst expansion the game has ever had. It is honestly extremely disappointing how horribly they handled the game.
Is something 12 did better years ago?
Why are yoshitpiss fans so attached to this failure?

Ex-Blizzard employee here.
>Scarlet are a problem
SOMEHOW, THE SCARLET CRUSADE RETURNED
Also frick you stay out of Quel'Thalas.
>You can do it Zero, I believe in you.
No you don't, you met her for like 30 minutes and she didn't do anything.
So what is a green mage?
Is he a nature healer mage or something? Never played tactics games.
Buffer/debuffer. Protect, Shell, Silence, Blind etc.
Expect a full reimagining like Sage.
>silence, blind
Unles they're ultimate spells with like five minute cooldowns that will be way too overpowered to have as spells.
shadowbaby missed the arr potions
True.
Too bad they stop doing anything to bosses after you leave arr and regular enemies in the overworld are so pathetic you don't ever have to use the potions on them.
>Expect a full reimagining like Sage.
Oh boy, can't wait for it to be
>Cast spells while gauge fills
>Use gauge to cast bigger spells
>Repeat for entire fight
shell, protect could work as cooldowns like magick barrier/shield samba.

Wait this is XIV they'd never do that.
It was great, what are you talking about? Only the story was disappointing. And the combined god should have been named Eorzea.

Same, but they've been cutting DoTs out every where they could, so I really doubt a new DoT job is in their future plans. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they finally take the plunge and nuke BRD DoTs with Dawntrail.
they supposedly fixed the issue with debuffs on the enemy so HOPEFULLY
HOPEFULLY
dt brings back dots
it'd be so much fun
don't do hector strats
The person writing DT is the person who wrote Pandemonium and previously things like Bozja.
how so
6.X was written by a team of newbie writers supervised by Ishikawa and Oda. It was a test for a new batch of writers. Hiroi (the DT writer) has only written Pandemonium this expansion.
source?
Last liveletter.
that is false
what anon said
is correct
I thought they said the next expansion is written by the newbies with them only supervising them.
Except that's not the case.
(your) chosen deity should have been the one that stayed behind for you, but that would require way too much work for them.
*filters pf*
sure, I don't think it was that bad
>Ryne explains to Zero how the Night's Blessed don't use real names because they believe your real name being exposed is a curse and it will become tainted by the light.
>Literal first thing Runar says on meeting is your name.
Well frick you too dude.
You never gave them anything but your real name, to my memory
I'm the motherfricking Warrior of Darkness. The goddamn dude he was worshipping in that funeral scene. Even the Crystarium and Eulmore citiziens call me like that.
What, does he think the night sky just randomly happened to return to all the world at the same time I arrived from another world by pure chance?
That's a title, not a stage name for the religion's purpose. As far as Runar knows you did give him a fake name, or he doesn't care and acknowledges you're an outsider who just won't, since he doesn't ram Dark worship down anyone's throats.
where's my plugins
>6.0
>rally the alliance and non-tempered garleans to retake their home from a fandaniel possessed varis
>fight unending waves of laboratory abominations (fandaniel is a master flesh crafter)
>7.0
>endwalker with total apocalypse
>all side content buds come together to assist in the defense of their world
Why not rewrite dynamis as a god particle instead of the space emotion magic? Hydalaens sundering fricked with the dynamis and caused it to split into the six elements we see today. Eithyris is stuck in its own pocket dimension.
dynamis is limit breaks as a plot element
I like the pvp varient more. Adrenaline rush or whatever its called. No special magic, just your body overclocking itself.
battle high
also pvp still has limit breaks
>he doesn't know
Hey nugay.
>the 'does it for free' Black person who revealed he doesn't even play the game is still shitting up threads
You probably still think we're on 6.1 don't you buddy?
the who
what?
anon you're babbling
have a nice day.
>random post from over a month ago you're still mad at
lol
Post the new PVP sets
I miss Lyse.
She was a moron, but she was cute and happy.
How do I make playing healer fun, what do I do
you don't
you accept that SE has made healers an optional job, only really needed when bad randoms are around.
you instead hope that SE just removes healers as a whole because they clearly aren't going to make them mandatory or at least fun to play, so may as well delete them and redesign fights around not having them
you then realize that neither of these will happen and healers will only get more boring to play
🙂
I wonder if the gods dying is a frick you to all the forum morons who insist that the moment a character's storyline is complete they should get killed off.
You dont get it
They want characters they hate to die and characters they like to live thats why they want a "redemption" for ancients
This but without the ancient jerk off, I'm sick of them as well
Kill Graha and Alisaie, do it now
g'raha is still the most annoying character square has ever written, anon. i'm sorry but it's a fact.
No, that's a nod to how the Ancients killed themselves when their work was finished. You are just obsessed.
I believe in femra supremacy
*pokes bellybutton*
>Razorfist thinks ARR and everything after is still like 1.0
what in the frick is a razorfist?
I put my finger over the ears so she would look like a regular woman and suddenly found her attractive. The ears ruin Viera for me apparently.

>Literally all the Eorzean heads of state when WoL tells them he caused the Twelve to an hero
Why tell them?
If the masses don't know then what was the point
Humans would go on praying as usual, except now there's a chance they could actually summon a primal
I mean they still dont know the twelve actually exist anyways, thats why the twelve is considered a myth
Anon, it straight up said those prayers go right to the Lifestream now... oh god they are gonna make accidentally create Sin
We *are* going into the FFX expansion, so yup. Rev up those Jecht Shots, cause we're building Sin.
WoL already did a Jecht Shot as well in the Hildy quest line
DON'T
YOU
GIVE UP ON IT
AN OTHER WORLD AWAITS YOU
>oh god they are gonna make accidentally create Sin
Spira expansion
Get ready
>Blitzball is the melee job
>the sword in the trailer is actually for the magic job
>tropical setting
>Wakka gets shorter
Because WoL is a moron who loves to talk about his adventures.. and he'd probably feel bad or some shit.
>Twelve an hero
>They get immediately resummoned by the combined faith of an entire country
The frick did the twelve ever do anyway besides being Koji's go-to for funny ways to curse? The last time they were plot relevant was probably 1.0 and I didn't play that shit.
Apparently they were the reason the world didn't go completely to shit after each calamity
I meant for stuff outside this questline. They've been mostly used for fluff, and even that is mostly in the English localization.
It is an alliance raid, stop overthinking it.
I think you meant to reply to
>beasts can't have their gods
>but we can
what if theres major gameplay changes coming 7.0 and you can actually reduce boss accuracy and increase ranged/physical vulnerability, and you can choose to increase dot potency or reduce mp cost for abilities of other jobs with green mage
doesnt sound that hard to balance
bring back accuracy
hahahahaha
Never happen
XIV is on permanent cruise control, they will only be making it simpler from here on until we have XV's one button combat.
lol lmao
They had a chance to go wild with gimmicks for BLU, and all it ended up being is a standard DPS that can moonlight as tank or healer.
>reduce boss accuracy
So it does 10% less damage for 10 seconds.
>increase ranged/physical vulnerability
Also magical and it's 5% for 10 seconds.
>you can choose to increase dot potency
Ok this is too stupid to even try to brainstorm into current XIV.
>reduce mp cost for abilities of other jobs
This is just pointless since no jobs have problems with their MP.
iterating again on this:
GRN
>you can constantly put up a debuff on the boss to increase melee damage or ranged damage, PLD is better with ranged and GNB is better melee etc etc
>on a 120 cooldown you can choose to increase potency of dots of other people or you can just use some high potency skill, both share same cd
> on a 60 cd you can refresh mp for everyone or reduce boss damage for 5 secs and 10s of less accuracy, both share same cd
> on a 240 cd you can remove all range and positional requirements for all jobs and increase damage by 10%, or you can cast giga dot on the boss with 20% damage reduction. Both skills can only be activated after 240 seconds have passed in combat and both skills share a cd
just setting myself for disappointment but hey its fun to speculate
I think you would've liked Stormblood.
i cant tell if i'm just burnt out or the last few patches have just been genuinely that bad
the wrap up of the story was fricking atrocious, it was SO corny/cheesy and you could have predicted every single aspect of it several patches ago. Really fricking boring.
the dungeon was ok aesthetically but a joke mechanically, and the trial just felt like reskinned Zodiark.
i pray to god the alliance raid is at least somewhat adequate
>play a game meant for children and families
>surprised that the themes and characters aren't anything deeper then Saturday morning cartoons
>get actively upset about it
You guys are doing this to yourselves, you're supposed to laugh at it while talking to your friends. Here's a free tip, if you can tell the writers don't really care about consistent tone and characterization in the very thing they're paid to write, then you shouldn't either.
Y'SHTOLA'S CAT FRICKING CAT breasts

Well you don't HAVE to do it.
Outfit... And starting the new custom workshop thing asap because the new mount is timegated...
And you have to do this why, exactly?
>literally one singular event in over a decade of story patches was somewhat unexpected (Haurchefants death)
>is still the most talked about story moment to this date, 8 years later
hmm i wonder if theres anything that could be drawn from this...
Yes, you're an MSQtroony
not my fault its mandatory for everything else that we sit through this fan fiction tier drivel
it is quite literally the only event that has happened in the MSQ at any point that could not have been deduced by a toddler several patches in advance. The MSQ has never had a shocking, surprising moment, a clever twist, or anything of the sort. Even the lore reveals in EW just made the overall worldbuilding objectively worse. Horrendous expansion
I didn't understand it back then and I still don't understand it now why people pretended to care about his death. It's absolutely overblown.
Only decent part of the whole story
Yes, you are American and think storytelling is only good when a character dies.
Game of Thrones becoming a TV series was a mistake.
>Game of Thrones
The first franchise to kill characters, am I right fellow zoomer?
The irony of these responses.
Go back to the OF with your Barry tier argument
im not american plus
>GoT invented killing characters
holy fricking zoomer
Would ASoIaF be a better story if Ned had lived?
A story is as it was told. If Ned had lived, we'd have to rewrite a hell of a lot, so I can't answer that. I'm not GGRM.
yeah and this doesn't mean, at all, that sylphs view rhalgr and ramuh as the same entity
how do you cope with the game's death and everyone you knew quitting?
What's that addon that the raid trannies use to see telegraphs for savage raids? I want to unsync E12S to get the caster top.
these homosexuals really can't play on their own huh?
