Yes and which platform has the most moronic gopniks/slavs/hohols/huehues/sombrero-wearers or whatever who can't play for shit, scream down their elektronika brand microphones, and toggle rage-cheats if they die too many times?

the solution is just dont make these games free to play.

CSGO had very few cheaters, and then they made it free to play. Ever since then its had a cheating problem. Same with valorant, tf2, call of duty, The Finals. If the barrier to entry is just a new account, you've effectively put a cheeto lock on bans.

in comparison lol, yeah there were still hackers abusing cheaper keys in third world countries, but they weren't as commonplace as they are today.

Private cheats cost like $30 per month, IT IS PAID PREMIUM ONLINE SERVICE in its essence

Console online services don't accept cryptocurrency.
Payment is denied on xbox live if your account adress doesn't match the billing address you use with your credit card.
Yearly payment is cheaper than monthly.

WoW disproves your theory as it has subscription yet more chinkbots than actual players.

      Anonymous

It doesn't. Because you don't have to pay and spend YOUR money to play WoW. Not since the token and other web bullshit. People bot and pay for everything, including other botting accounts using the battle.net balance. This is, was, and will be the downfall of p2p and p2w games.

  7. 4 months ago

Paying wasnt the only thing, xbox live wasnt avaiable everywhere, even ms sold console there or even was ms had local division.

wrong, it's just that third worlders had less purchasing power in 2007

  9. 4 months ago

Nothing to do with paid services. At the time Xbox360 simply didn't ship to a lot of regions and xbox live was available in even less.
Also smartphones and cheap mobile data weren't a thing yet so majority of turd worlders didn't even have internet access.

WoW invented RMT I guess. Also FFXI is still alive and 90% of players are bots and cheaters. And the main audience for this game is JP and US. Sad news

The only solution to cheaters is community run servers with active moderation, this problem was solved 20 years ago.

total nuclear hardware ban, even the mousepad

      Anonymous

This is the most correct solution, community run servers rented with no-strings attached from server farms. Cheaters will show up, get banned and then forced to migrate to niche hacker only servers.

The problem with community servers is companies can no longer use their lootbox and battlepass models to rape the wallets of consumers.

modern cheats are pretty hard to spot though. They arent snap-to-head aimbots, but recoil reducers and soft-aimbots. wallhacks arent on 24/7, but tap to see. So 90% of the time someone is just playing normally, and only uses a wallhack to check corners. Ragehackers and kiddies would be easy enough to ban, but high level hackers that bump up their ability by 10% are pretty much uncatchable.

Good things there's thousands of servers to choose from. Good thing that servers with shitty admins ended up dying because no one wanted to play there.
