are they fun? gonna pick this up once im done with kingmaker and these two really stand out to me. might need to do two evil runs
Swarm is alright but is blatantly unfinished. What little content there is is alright but i'd wait for the EE
Lich, angel and aeon are the best mythic paths because they have a narrative theme going for them, and lich also forces you to roleplay or else you're screwed
Does angel give you wings with +3 ac vs melee like the Aasimar Wings feat?
Yes. Stacks with other sources of wings as well, so you could go Aasimar, mutagen and angel for maximum wingage.
>too many wings
Hellllll yeah
Is it possible to get your mentor to like you so you dont have to beg like a b***h for your soul jar.
I agreed with him on nearly everything and he still tried to cuck me
>I agreed with him on nearly everything and he still tried to cuck me
Such is the fate of a Lich
>I agreed with him on nearly everything
>act like a cuck
>surprised that he gets cucked
lichtards are something else
Most of the stuff he wants you to do is very pragmatically evil and what I would have done anyways.
I just don't understand why he was such a whiny b***h afterwards. I need to know if there's a way to stop him from being a homosexual because I don't want to have to put him down.
Playing lich right now and its a lot of fun if you go gish. It feels almost tailor made for it. Theres a quicken metamagic rod that refreshes uses if you kill something with certain necromancy spells and eldritch knight quickening any spell on crit creates a really fun play pattern. As far as the specific lich stuff, I was a bit disappointed that you can only really rock a fully undead party by the end of the game.
>Lich
>Sorcerer+Dragon Disciple+Eldritch Knight
>Camellia
How to do your Lich class? Is it
6 sorcerer (crossblooded is okay as well?)/4 DD/10 EK?
Also how with stats?
>6 sorcerer/4DD/10EK
Yeah pretty much. I think they nerfed cross blooded sorcerer a bit buy you can experiment if you don't paly on meme difficulties
>stats
I pump charisma and strength because obviously they're your caster stat and later you get it for hp instead of constitution. Strength is also easier to get than dex.
I see. For this build it's probably better to go 2H right?
Also how was crossblooded nerfed? I heard going abyssal and draconic works good. Did that change?
Also let me guess... Angelkin Assimar is the best for this build.
Half ef kindred raised is good too, +2 to charisma and +2 to stat of choice. 2h weapon is fine but there is a gimmick of applying geniekind to yourself since you're a gish and hitting with elemental barrage and that's stronger with dual wielding, but again it's for meme difficulties.
>Lich
>Kineticist
>Wenduag
>Mythic path
None, they should be removed from the system, way to powerful and the game treats you as only those paths for roleplaying instead of reacting to you class choices
>Class
Eh probably sword Saint magus
>Romance
None because all the characters are terrible
They will never react to your class with or without mythic
seelah reacts if you're a paladin
How many lines?
don't remember. she reacts when you meet, and possibly later too
no she doesn't, she calls you a fellow crusader if you tell her you're there to fight demons, no matter if you're actually a paladin or not
Yes they do with paladin and hellknight
I did hellknight signifier and nobody said shit
Regil reacts to it I think
Nope. I did respec before the trial though because litteraly nobody said shit and the only reason I diped was for reactivity
Yeah no, every time a hellknight appears they say something about it, it even influences the trial
you get a cool robe if you're an arcane trickster
Aribeth has a line for your class at the tavern defense
A whole line?
what more do you want?
if you worship Cayden he also gives you his blessing to defend the tavern
Deity reactivity is not that bad for most deities.
Class reactivity is a whole different issue
>Greybor
>recruting him
>ever
shiggy
>being that much of a shitter that a tevern gets attacked at all
i shiggy diggy
>missing out on XP and free alchemist fires
>free xp
the little exp you get won't make a difference in the long run. you're better off getting 1 extra random encounter in chapter 5
Theres class reactivity when you're signing up for battle bliss in act 4
>instead of reacting to you class choices
token dialogue for a billion different classes wouldn't actually improve the game
Isn't this just logical?
If you had a chat with a Fighter Aeon, would you address with as a fighter? Or address him as an Aeon?
you don't get your mythic transformation until act 5
Until then you're addressed as the commander of crusade.
That's also logical.
The same way you address the queen as a royal, and not as a paladin.
What's the difference between the game that's out now and EE?
unfinished mess, slightly less unfinished mess
False, the EE will introduce brand new bugs while fixing none of the ones currently present.
Is there going to be anything new in EE?
Should I wait for it instead of playing now?
ee will flash out the least popular and developed paths anon. if being:
>an all devouring swarm of bugs
>a scalie that forgibs everyone
>a scheming devil israelite mf
appeals to you, then wait for the ee. if you'd like to play the main mythic paths you can do it now
Okay I'm going Azata so that's all good.
Can I transfer my regular save to EE?
unless your save file gets corrupted
glory to asmodeus!
I see alright.
Thanks!
I probably wouldn't bank on it, if you can finish your run before EE comes out that's probably a better idea. Otherwise if it does corrupt your save you can revert to an earlier version.
>>a scheming devil israelite mf
the only one i'm looking foreward to. the other two are just trash
Is this confirmed or wishful thinking?
What do you think it is?
wishful thinking. If anything we'll get more puzzles it's the only thing owlcat wants to do
it was confirmed that all paths will get additional content
Will it be substantial enough to justify the wait?
Any class that can perform Trip maneuver as a part of their full attack round is in my list of favourite classes.
But that's not enough, we need the proper devil's girlfriend as well!
>Aeon
>Scaled Fist Monk
>Arushulae
Demon > legend
Primalist
Arue
>Legend
>Sanctified Slayer
>I'm not a coomer
I've been wondering about how Sanctified Slayer plays, are you just casting self-buffs or were you still investing in the enchantment spells?
It's an inquisitor that trades his judgement(his worst ability imo) for 5d6 sneak attack and studied target which in WOTR means you can also get your studied target bonus to AC, you get some feats but thats too late in the game to matter. While you don't have the full bab progression you can makeup for that with guarded hearth. Basically you deal more damage than a rogue, hit more often, can excel at all skill checks and serve as party face because of the bonuses to perception and persuasion and you don't need a wizard to watch over you because you can self buff. It's one of my favorite classes because you're pretty good by yourself you don't really need anyone else to make your class work
>melee
*dips monk*
*laughs in grease*
You are gonna need a lot of WIS to benefit from Guarded Hearth so you monk dip is gonna work well for you, you can also put one level into witch to get iceplant hex with ring and lizard familiar for a +5 natural armor and access to mage armor to get +8 AC from archmage armor
Oh wow how fun, a worse slayer that can cast those same buffs your 24H divine casters are gonna cast every map anyway.
Who else didn't know Areelu was a multiphase bossfight?
>EE
What would change in a EE? Didn't stick around long enough to see Kingmaker's EE
>EE coming in September 29
But the last DLC isn't even out yet.
IIRC the enhanced edition is literally just the base game with the DLCs included.
Lads
Why are Alchemist and Druid so cucked?
I don't know, why are they?
They're bad
Alchemist hits Touch AC and bypass magic resistance.
>Alchemist hits Touch AC
Alchemist can hit deez nutz he does no damage
Once you're level 10 Alchemist, try to give him a few Underground Chemist levels and see if this enables you do deal Splash Sneak attacks
https://pathfinderwrathoftherighteous.wiki.fextralife.com/Precise+Splash+Weapons
Rogue Talent Dispelling Attack might be very useful
There is also a Rogue Talent that halves the opponent's moments in addition to another effect of your choice.
>Rogue Talent Dispelling Attack might be very useful
What's the DC on that shit?
No idea. I haven't tried experimenting yet.
Vivisectionist / Underground Chemist sounds like a powerful combination as well.
Apparently it's caster level 4 if you have Vivisectionist 16/ Underground Chemist 4.
Unless you can select it from Vivisectionist discovery.
The point is to throw a force bomb to make them go prone or a holy bomb to stagger them so everyone else can murder them easily.
And with fast bombs, damage per turn goes decently high, though you run through teh stock.
Still a shame we do not get the kingmaker grenade boost equipment
>The point is to throw a force bomb to make them go prone or a holy bomb to stagger them so everyone else can murder them easily.
Now how about this revolutionary idea, instead play a character that can hit them hard and kill them in a way that doesn't slow down action economy?
Do you call it ;slowing down action economy' when your wizard uses CC>
99% of the time it is.
Explain
Grenadier and Vivisectionist are both good, base Alchemist is just a worse Grenadier which is a shame. Metamorph could be interesting since it still gets full mutagen but it's a shame it doesn't appear to get Dragonkind III. Churigeon does just seem like a worse cleric. Incense Synthesizer seems like it could be an interesting merc but the group buff/debuffs it provides are generally outclassed by full casters.
Druids get a full animal companion and a decent full spell list, the game is going to punish trying to split focus much though with enemy SR/saves so you aren't going to be a wildshape melee powerhouse while also landing debuffs on enemies. I'm not sure if you take the domain instead of companion if you could get community domain from Impossible Domain, if so a druid merc could replace Sosiel if you want.
>base Alchemist is just a worse Grenadier which is a shame
That's not strictly true. The base Alchemist can gain Precise Bomb through Alchemist discovery.
The Grenadier can never gain poison immunity.
>The Grenadier can never gain poison immunity.
Not that guy but with delay poison that becomes trivial to achieve
I saw a D&D session where the entire party got manhandled by Drow poison.
Apparently their cleric didn't have that memorised.
Tabletop utility is a whole different beast.
Invulnerable rager dr with d12 HP actually matters
Sure, but in the context of WOTR there's only a handful of dangerous poisons, and other than stinking cloud I think they're all from melee hits so a normal Alchemist probably wouldn't be tanking those. Even if you're doing a first blind playthrough you'll probably get Daeran delay poison or get some scrolls of it after the Leper's Smile cave.
If I don't save Daeran in Kenabres, will Galfrey still saddle me with him afterwards?
I wish there was some way to play pathfinder with my friends and make our own adventure...
I don't, I just want more single player video games. Unfortunately they are not working on anything new irght now that is Pathfinder related.
I can only hope enhanced Edition will be excellent.
before I purchase EE I need to know if the game represents trans-persons
anevia is trans
tf? when do they tell you? i never saw any of that shit in my run
You can find out near the end if you keep asking her questions and pass a diplo check
Makes sense. If you're going to pry into people's privacy and use your skills to trick it out of them, then you shouldn't really be offended by what they tell you.
well you pick up angel mythic path and you weren't born as one so that makes you trans. google trans angels for more information
I finished the game and...
I think this is the first time I truly regret completing a game.
I should have replay IE classics or play more Solasta.
You regret because the game was bad or because you wish there was more?
1. End slides were unsatisfying.
2. The game was - arguably - worse than Kingmaker.
It was arguably better
Is Lich Spellbook merge to Swarm stronger than full Lich?
Do you even lose anything?
you lose lich abilities, but unless they patched it you still keep the spellbook
Romances in this game are lackluster. Wenduag and Camellia are both evil romances. While it's nice that they had more than just the one for once, there's too much overlap. The only neutral one is a Succubus trying not to be evil, so a bit more of the same. And finally a GILF with virtually no content as the sole good option.
But Arueshalae is good and that's ignoring the fact that she gets a good alignment at the end of her questline. And Wenduag can be made neutral.
>But Arueshalae is good
Arueshelae's is very sappy. Which is fine if that's what you're into. And I'm pretty sure whoever wrote it writes Kpop boy band fanfiction on AO3.
Daeran's is definitely written for women, it doesn't remotely follow the Bioware established pattern of Express Interest -> Assert Interest -> Assert Interest -> We'll bang, ok -> Romance concluded. Daeran's romance feels like HE'S the one doing the romancing. I believe his romance storyline was written by someone who liked bodice rippers.
>I'm pretty sure whoever wrote it writes Kpop boy band fanfiction on AO3
Close, the man who wrote Arue is the biggest fricking weeb in the company. He dedicated his thesis to "A Critique of Pure Haruhism"

If you thought that WOTR is kinda anime-esque at certain points, it's most likely because of him and people like him.
>casually cites Utena
That explains why Arueshelae's romance is pure /u/ bait
>/u/ bait
How?
I would also like to point out that this guy looked like an actual human being a mere 7 years ago. Pic related is him today.

Mad lad.
I don't care about what you think about the romances, just pointing out that the only actual evil romance in the game is Camellia.
So people who own the original version will get all the updates in the EE, right? I only own the EE of Kingmaker so I don't know if that was the case in that game.

I really want to do a full 10 level Hellknight Devil run for the EE (assuming Devil gets fixed)
Not sure what to do with the other 10 levels though
Some charisma based martials?
There should be at least a few options.
10 Armiger 10 Hellknight.
How viable is a Sorcerer Monk Dragon Disciple shape-shifter build?
What are the shape-shifting must haves?
I think you absolutely need Master Shapeshifter and Mythic Natural Attacks right?
What about spells?
How does shapeshifting work in this? It was a mess in nwn
What do you mean how?
You press button and become a tiger.
Do you get the benefits from your equipments?
You get benefits from some equipment, lizard tail for example
Literally just go 20 in instinctual warrior, use amulet of agile fists until you get demon forms
half orc (razortusk) get bite from rage powers, get all beast totems (pounce), mythic charge, aspect of kalavakus
Your computer will almost crash on a charge, you'll have 140+AC fully buffed (I'm using TTT so some things that stack in vanilla aren't stacking here, like size bonuses+polymorph)
10
18
10
13
20
7
You'll have ac from combat expertise, DEX, and WIS, you'll always start first and your charge will always catch someone flat footed, you can blow up any boss on a charge on unfair.
There's a few more things but you can figure them out by yourself.
Dang, that does seem alot easier to go for, though being multiclass freak has its charm. Did you have a Skald here? Was thinking if i should grab a merc and just go 20 levels in it
Is AB not a worry here? Doesn't fighting defensively, combat expertise decrease your attack by a lot?
You get a lot from focused rage+demonic rage (they stack).
Also, you don't really need guarded stance tbh, you can just get reckless stance, nothing will be able to hit you anyway
btw, on this charge I dealt 2584 damage kek
That's pretty cool, interesting you went for dex and wis on a barb. I'm playing a str bloodrage right now, definitely lacking the armor.
>interesting you went for dex and wis on a barb
You can easily make it work with a STR build, it would actually be better, the DEX is there just for the AC after all.
If you drop guarded stance, combat experitse and DEX you would probably get like 20 or something less AC and you'd be much better when you're not charging, you'd probably still be untouchable by practically any enemy, it's a matter of preference.
Personally I was just going for an obnoxious amount of AC and abusing kalavakus+pounce.
>If you drop guarded stance, combat experitse and DEX you would probably get like 20 or something less AC
Meant 30 less AC
For sure. If you're rolling with concealment at all times you don't really need much more than ~70 AC.
I want to try making a meme build with Natural Attacks + Demon mythic path. At the moment im thinking going Oracle at lvl 1 then dip into Vivisectionist, Bloodrager and Dragon disciple somehow. Ive never looked into Feral Champion though, only heard its not very good but would it be any use here?
What are the deets for EE anyway?
Nothing
Hundreds of brand new bugs and even worse writing.
Shouldn't EE be bug free since they had all that time to iron those out?
For every 2 bugs they fix, a new one appears.
In 20 years, we may be left with one singular bug
sorry, but this cyprus company's employees were too busy shooting hohols
Why the frick is Octavia's favorite school transmuation? It's such a nothing burger school jesus christ. Why not evocation if they obviously wanted her to be an arcane trickster?
So she can throw more hastes
Hey at least it's not divination
To fix Regongar's micropenis
I hope trickster gets even more ebin pranks in EE. How about turning socothbenoth into your loving trad wife for example?
So what's the advantage of using natural attacks over a good weapon anyway?
Claws granted by bloodlines scale as you level any class that shares that bloodline. Eventually they become magical, deal greater damage, and add energy damage at later levels.
What are the classes that boost your bloodline?
>140 ac
That can't be right.
Do claws benefit from unarmed bonuses?
No. Natural attacks are considered distinct from unarmed attacks.
No, natural attacks are considered a weapon, which means they can benefit from weapon finesse and other bonuses
Wondering this too, in game like bg or neverwinter you had weapon so op using claws and shit was a waste
There is none. It's a build you do for fun, not because it's good.
Something with 2 claws like Feral Champion gets 2 attacks without penalties at level 1, which is pretty good. Secondary natural attacks only get a -5 penalty, and you can stack different bites for some reason so some people make builds with 3-4 bite attacks at almost full BAB. Wildshapes are also usually good, smilodeon gets 4 claw attacks at full BAB and pounce. Brutality Incarnate is also pretty nice, occasionally you'll run into things with DR you can't easily overcome and your natural attacker can just claw them down.
>Wildshapes are also usually good, smilodeon gets 4 claw attacks at full BAB and pounce.
Does wildshape/shapechange use your natural bab or do they have their own?
It should be your BAB, they are just a polymorph effect.

Everything about the last level and even before screamed how it was bound to end for Aeon, but I still had a bittersweet taste after the ending slides, especially if you implant memories into your party members[.

Only you don't cease to exist, since Pharasma's judgement of Areelu shows you can will yourself back into being whenever you want.
So it's more a case of "erased from memory/history".
Also, did they finally fix the ending slides for the Pure Aeon who doesn't retcon everything?
can an aeon visit arue in the abyss?
You see, Anon, the endings and ending slides for Aeon have been broken/glitched for so long I have no idea.
It was around the fricking APRIL 2022 patch that they re-enabled the broken option of being a Pure Aeon and NOT rectonning the Worldwound.

Do you get anything in the maingame for completing Through the Ashes DLC like it was with Inevitable Excess?
Wait you get something in the main game for completing Inevitable Excess?
Yeah if you get the best ending in Inevitable Excess, you'l get a new ability and there will be some voids you can interact with at certain areas that give you OP items like this ring you get from Sosiel's quest in Act 2
Oh fuggggg :DDD
seems almost like cheating...
Its super strong but you only get it from doing the best ending for the DLC so you might as well have some fun with next playthrough
I guess I'll finally get around to doing the DLC before the EE drops then.
I didn't realize you needed a best ending for the ability, I did it on normal and just killed everyone. However the items are only from completing on Core I think, and there are other items for killing the secret boss on Hard.
The extra loot is from killing the Playful Darkness boss, the buff I think is just completing the game. Kill boss on hard for max rewards.
>Looking at ecclesitheurge
>air and weather seems to be the best choice for primary domain

What do?
You could go Rovagug for weather and take air as impossible domain. Gozreh would give you trident proficiency though, that seems thematic for a lightning lord.
Can't go wrong with Shelyn.
Meh I prefer the fire b***h
Both are good but I'm not big on the redemption thing.
>redeem your enemies if you can
No, I rather kill all the uglies and redeem all the hotties if I can and if they are willing to worship me lolol.
Isn't Shelyn the one going full redemption whereas Sarenrae is "if they're sincere fine if not slice their head"?
Shelyn is the goddess of beauty.
She is a dumb bimbo basically.
Sarenrae is more stern.
Are they part of the lesbian trinity?
I think so. With Desna.
I dislike Sarenrae mainly for what she put poor Tristian through in Kingmaker.
My fave is Desna though.

If I hire a merc, does the EXP I share decrease? Meaning would it take longer for me to reach lvl 20
no
No, the XP is never split more than 6 ways.
Is Greater Command a spell viable to specialise into for an Angel Crusader Cleric that decided to Wisdom max while focusing on Enchantment school that only just discovered that there are frick all good Enchantment spells for Cleric? Asking for a friend.
No.
I remember the autistic demon frogtard saying it was great, don't remember why though. Also it's probably better on a wizard
*on a wizard with loremaster level
It will probably be serviceable for a bit, the problem with Enchantment in general is how many enemies Owlcat decided to stick immunity to compulsion and mind-affecting on (Gallus in particular don't have any enchantment immunity at all in tabletop and for some reason have mind-affecting in WOTR). With that said Angel will get you access to 9th level spells really early so you'll probably be negating whole encounters by the end of Act 3, it will fall off eventually but then you can switch to spamming Mass Bolt of Justice like everyone else.
With the early level 9, would holding out for Overwhelming Presence be the superior choice? This is my first time playing Core, so in hindsight I should not have picked a gimmicky shitbuild to experiment with.
If you're talking about spell specialization, you can change the spell you picked whenever you gain a level. With that said spell specialization increases the caster level of a spell, not the DC, so for Enchantment spells it's usually just adding one more round to the duration which isn't that great, it's more useful for spells that scale damage per caster level. Otherwise you're a cleric so you get access to every divine spell and can change which you have memorized freely before resting, you don't need to hold out in any way.
>buff myself with a spell that grants immunity to fear
>still get feared
sasuga
What spell exactly? And what fight
Greater Heroism and it was some fights in Threshold
Was the debuff on your characters actually fear? The Gallu in there cast Tsunami which knocks your characters back, since they do 3 spells a turn sometimes the camera moves away after they cast it.
Was definitely fear, all my guys running around like chickens with their heads cut off.
From my last run a month ago, I can confirm that with Mindblank, my team did not get stage fright. Do you hvae slost for that?
I can probably slot it in
The point is that the spell which explicitly states it grants people affected by it Fear Immunity doesn't actually make you immune to Fear.
Just use a paladin lmao, didn't get feared even once after Hosilla.
I'm not good at building characters in games like these, can someone help me make a roleplay friendly melee lich? I want a character in armour and a 2h weapon fricking shit up while also being able to drop those sweet spells.
Should I start level 1 as scaled fist or ignore that? 3 levels in hell Knight signifier? 6 levels in sorc? I don't need min max.
6 in Sorcerer, 4 in Signifier and 10 in Eldritch Knight I heard works well enough. Basically it seems like going with 6 Sorcerer and 10 EK can work with anything in between.
Thanks lads. Just to finish: what should my stats look like? Also is the sorc just a plain sorc or sage sorc? Thanks.
If you are going lich, normal sorc is better
BTW I heard Cross bloodline Sorcerer got nerfed. In what way?
Strength > Cha > Con > Dex > Wis > Int. If you go Sage Sorc you'd switch int and cha, not sure what bloodline would be the best though.
This is the right choice and what I did too. I would heavily suggest not taking the signifier levels before the EK levels though. The EK line doesnt really give you anything good(aside from full casting and BAB progression simultaneously) until you get all 10 levels at which point it becomes based, so youll want to enjoy that for more than just the final dungeon.
I'd suggest 5 exploiter wizard (so you can increase the caster level of your spells and get access to shit like 24 hour sense vitals/geniekind/haste earlier) 1 hellknight signifier level(Wear stauntons mithral armor and take the hellknight order that reduces spell failure) so you get your death knight aesthetics for 1 level dip and only 10% spell fail chance and then hard dump into EK so you can quicken spells on crit by the end of act 4
Focus into falchions for that sweet 15-20 crit range but scyhes are also a good option for the huge crit damage with all the additional shit you're tossing onto your weapon strikes (elemental barrage from 24 hour geniekinds, your death knight spell that I forget the name of and sense vitals)
Not to mention wide sweep is one of the best fricking weapons in the game and you get it in act 2
I'd also advise taking fear control as your lich mythic for the BAB boost and to not pick deadly magic at all since if you're not a shit lich youll get deadly magic for free thanks to your phylactery
Really depends on the difficulty. If playing normal then anything should work, pick the cool sounding classes and feats. You can also respec whenever
You wouldn't go monk if you want to wear armor. With the full caster mythics you probably want to either do a class that merges with the mythic (for Lich that's wizard, sorcerer and arcanist) or a full BAB martial so your base class isn't overlapping your mythic path. Mythic spells don't have arcane failure chance and usually ignore spell resistance, so you could do a fighter that just casts Lich spells on dead turns and pick up the good Lich powers for martials. Otherwise
works as a full armored arcane caster, I think if you put the feats into arcane armor training and take order of the gate you have enough ASF reduction to wear mithril full plate.
You have 2 options:
>Pure melee class
You get all the melee prowess and the lich spellbook advances. You have the self buffs and many lich spells are still very effective. Quite afew lich spells ignore spell resistance and saves either way, so you can throw a few if you want
>a level for proficiencies than sorcerer/ Eldritch knight spellbook merge, maybe with 3 signifer
Your fighting is mostly passive mode, but self buffs will let you smack in trash ights and go all out in harder ones.
You can in theory take advantage of the merge to get more martial levels and still have caster level above 20, but that will not be that much better than just getting the spellbook on a martial class unless you plan shit meticulously.
You would probably need some levels in hellknight signifier because of arcane failure chance
The only other option is magus but then you wouldn't be able to merge spellbooks with lich.
Am I the only one who loved Pathfinder Kingmaker (BG1 vibes because of wilderness) and hated WotR with passion?
Every dialogue in WotR is so annoying long and over explaining, too much romancing shit, etc.
probably not
>Sorcerer claws are limited to rounds
Isn't that stupidly restrictive?
Also, are demon horns in the first Mythic rank any good?
It's a free extra attack, which can be utilized
I think it's the best pick for the 1st Mythic rank.
How do I counter enemy concealment?
True seeing, blindsight, echocation
Blind fight and echolocation are the only things that work on the late game demons, for some reason true seeing has no effect.
>for some reason true seeing has no effect.
Owlcat are morons and fricked up True seeing a couple patches ago
... So every melee fighter needs to get this feat?
Definitely not a bad idea.
Blind Fight also makes you immune to gaze attacks. If you have a spare feat it's a tough choice between it and Improved Initiative.
One of Paizo's newbie adventure paths throws a Basilisk at you just to train you in this precaution.
So yeah if you don't get Blindfight against Basilisk you would need to close your eyes and give the opponent full concealment bonus.
>nerfing builds in a singleplayer game
cringe
95% of adjustments is things not working as intended , for better or for worse
They need to fix Expanded Arsenal
This shit is moronic.
Mut warrior or ranger for a shield basher? Ranger gives access to relevant feats somewhat earlier, but leaves less room for utility feats like blind fight or any sort of AC increasing feats.
Slayer has just as many feats as the fighter, and he gets same free access to the 2 weapon skilltree even if you use DEX as dumpstat.
Normally the highest feat requies 19 DEX, but you can get away with 10 in DEX just fine with the Slayer and Ranger.
That's their gimmick.
Yes, but your stats would end up being higher either way with mut warrior using mutagen, as well as wings and the bite.
That's not the point. The Mutagen warrior needs to pick 19 DEX at character creation. The Mutagen alone can't cheat your way up the skilltree.
You could be a dex-focused fighter, dual-wield shields and take fighter's finesse to get dex to damage, although I'm not sure if shields are a weapon group.
>>You could be a dex-focused fighter,
I guess that's true.
It's an interesting nuance with the Fighter picking Finesse weapons as dual wielder.
Whereas Slayer and Ranger can get away with raw STR weapons for dual wielding. It adds another layer of weapon selection advantage to the Slayer / Ranger in my opinion.
You could take 17 dex at creation, put your first two points into dex and then the rest into strength, with the +8 from grand mutagen you end up with more strength than you would as a slayer/ranger either way. Higher AC as well from the extra dex.
IIRC the point buy is 25, if that's right you could do 16+2/16/14/10/10/10 (or dump mental stats for more physical) and put the first three points into Dex, with a belt you could still take GTWF at 11 but at worst you delay it one level to 12, and have +1 strength for the early game.
I don't think missing out on +1 strength is that significant at the early levels, Cam has both bull's strength and enlarge within the first three levels.
But it also helps with AC and attacks of opportunity. Odd scores also don't matter since this is of course a trickster build.
You do not need more than 15 dex for Dual wield.
By the time the build coems online, you can get Str/Dex+4 belts easily. And you can get the feat and keep it active.
15 dex is still more investment than the ranger/slayer has to make, but you get the point
Kineticist is pretty strong but I feel like a glass cannon. Any way to fix that?
No.
Proper elemental selection.
Earth has Damage reduction.
Water gives extra AC.
Wind gives protection from arrows.
Alternatively Mix up levels with that has Canny Defense which is free AC for high Intelligence builds.
Sword Saint + Dark Elementalist is a great match.
Duelist + Dark Elementalist is also great.
Elemental defenses are not good enough.
>multiclassing
But then I would lose out on damage...
Can't I just dip monk or something?
That's kinda hard.
If you are throwing blasts from range, blur+mage+armor+magical vestment+whatever other buff you can throw will keep you safe from incidental archers or small fry melee. Your other characters should be a wall that AoOs and casters should trhow CC too.
Kineticists have Wis and Cha archetypes that would benefit from a monk dip too, yes
>B-b-but then I would lose out on damage...
>want more defense
>doesn't want to spare a single level for said additional defense
Don't get hit.
So...what does the Enhanced Edition entail, exactly?
They need to give Abrogail as waifu for the Devil Anons.
Otherwise it will never be good enough.
How am I supposed to know?
5 more dialog lines for each late game path
Some rebalancing
6100 more bugs
Better controller support
We don't know but if it's anything like Kingmaker, we'll get an upgrade to it for free if we already own the base version of the game.
>just finished Lost Chapel
>That power up theme as Minagho freaks the frick out as you gain more mythic power
>The victory theme as you talk to everyone after the fight
This game has some great themes. It's been a while since a game made me actually feel like a hero.
Enjoy while you can.
Their 3rd game won't even be a pathfinder game so we will be left in the dry for years to come.
If the music stays as good as it is in wrath, then I'm fine with whatever system the 40k game will use.
I'm not okay with it. There are so many other developers who are making 40K games.
But there is only one who is making pathfinder games.
But they ARE making a Pathfinder game. They've already confirmed they have two teams working on two different new titles.
>They've already confirmed they have two teams
Masaka???! Source?
The Mythic Power theme is unironically the best thing to come out of Wrathfinder and they picked near perfect spots for it to play in all cases
The music in general is very very good.
I think the only track that actually let me down was I Promise. A boss theme with that name and with that context should sound sadder. On the other hand Face the Abyss is exactly everything it needs to be.
Mythic Power is the official Chad theme as far as I'm concerned.
Yeah the first time you gain Mythic Power and the theme hits, it's a really satisfying narrative moment.
>no thank you mother, I do not require your mythic powers
Best theme coming through, here to trigger the shit out of lawtards
Aeon>Mythic Power>lich>Devil>Legend>Galfrey theme is better than Angel's>Demon>Trickster>Gold Dragon>Azata>Swarm>Angel
>devil higher than anything
lol
Devil theme is great.
Everything else about devil is...there.
The only good part of the Devil part is playing through the DLC as a Trickster and pretending you're a Devil when talking to Mephistopheles.
BASED
HOLY MOTHER OF COPE
I really hate everything about this path, it's a real shame it's so obviously the best option for martials apart from legend.
Angel gets pretty moronic when you get the later self buffs and grand blessings, and you are immune to everything. Not sure why people think it's not valid.
Even just at ranks 4-5, it's very good
because people are moronic. angel is marginally better on divine casters. it's still great for martials
But just not quite as good as trickster.
If you can kill everything in one round regardless, does it really matter? I guess Trickster will kill more people if conditions are right (more people within range to hit)
But 1 vs 1, Angel murders in one round and is immune to most shit thrown at you, plus better party support overall.
>Trickster will kill more people if conditions are right (more people within range to hit)
Melee range isn't even a restriction. Sure you can get crazy crit shenanigans that potentially deal infinite damage, but the Persuasion tricks are the most moronic part of being a Trickster. If your Persuasion is high enough enemies literally just drop dead at the start of every encounter, nothing beats that.
I generally want reasons to pick a mythic for chapters 3-4 as well, not 5 and beyond.
And Persuasion is not reliant on melee builds
Kitsune gets free pounce, so obviously some sort of 20 BAB class is ideal.
Dual Bloodline Bloodrager would probably be very powerful.
Fair point, but it's not like Persuasion 1+2 don't give anything. Making enemies kill themselves is just the cherry on top. Plus, you can get both Perception 2 for Crit memes and Persuasion 3 for instakill memes, so they're not mutually exclusive.
I won't claim to know exactly how it works mechanically, but just try it ingame. It's not 100% foolproof but I consistently got more than half of every encounter instantly dying, with sometimes encounters literally ending a second after they start, while playing through Inevitable Excess on Hard with a max level Trickster. Maybe it gets much worse on Unfair but it's ridiculously powerful on Hard (and below, I assume).
>Maybe it gets much worse on Unfair but it's ridiculously powerful on Hard (and below, I assume).
i played a persuasion trickster on core. persuasion trick only works when it doesn't matter. why would I care about instant gibbing enemies that don't pose any danger to me?
>why would I want a tool to skip trash encounters in this game filled with trash encounters?
Gee I wonder?
apparently unlike you I enjoy the game, so I don't mind fighting trash
Good for you?
>he hates seeing his enemies fall before him within yoctoseconds of battle
HA! GAYYYYYYYYYYY
>Persuasion tricks
Black folk, you keep saying this shit, but that's not the case. Persuasion trick makes you roll a will save against trickster's ranks in persuasion, which is 20 max. Ranks, not the overall persuasion level, which can not excede 20. Even a literally who joe shmoe can outroll this DC
It's all live recorded orchestra. And lyrics in latin.
Minagho is super cute.
Is Elemental Specialist 19/Crossblooded Sorc 1 the best way to build blaster caster?
What does Elemental Specialist add?
Free conversion of all spells to chosen element. Also as wizard with 1 lvl you end up with normal sorc spell progression instead of completely fricked up crossblood progression
But also no spontaneous casting.
After Kenabres you can just rest anywhere as long as corruption doesnt kill you and swap spells if you REALLY need something.
Ability to convert all elemental damage to chosen element
>pick chosen element fire
>pick ascendant element fire
>can now cast Icy Prison (Fire) and Stormbolts (Fire) ignoring any elemental res
If you convert spell to fire do they benefit from items that add bonus to fire spells?
Yes. And fire dragon bloodlines too. And aspect of brimorak too
So should Embah take an elemental specialist/sorc dip?
I'd like to use her but her spell is kinda shit, can't replace a cleric or wizard imo
>her spell is kinda shit
you only need scorching and hellfire ray on her anyway
Yeah but I can get those on other people and they'll have other good spells too. Her hexes are great though
She has both the spells readily available and the ranged feats. The others need either the fire ring, mythic shenanigans or extra feats
Technically at level 16 daeran without the ranged feat would have the same AB and giving him the ring is a no brainer anyway
Malus from her curse becomes -2, so with the point blank bonus and precise, she will do better than Daeran when firing against someone engaed in melee. But you are targetting touch AC and the buffs at this point should make it a near guarantee
>she will do better than Daeran when firing against someone engaed in melee
She won't because she only get 1/2 bab
I keep forgetting Oracles are 2/3 bab.
Seems the wiki is wrong and she'll have 1 more bab though it's cancelled if the penalty from her curse applies to ray too.
Just crossblooded dip. It combos well with additional sources of fire damage like the unholy belt, pyromania ring etc.
Witch is prettty great as a blaster that also brings some utility for things that cant be blasted. Her spell progression seems poor but shes a specific tool.
>spontaneous
>means you get heals early on to make sure no casts are wasted
>use slumber/evil eye
>get scorching ray
>start blasting
Is it a good idea to turn Ember into a Kineticist?
No. She has the blackened curse.
What about Camellia?
She has the blacked curse
I think she would make a good psycho-kinetist.
damage caster? add 10 arcane trickster and pick aeon, without the sorc dip
The soundtrack might be good but it's too fricking short for the length of this game. They should've implemented a dynamic soundtrack at least.
Is Conjuration/Evocation still the best combo?
How the frick does Expanded Arsenal work
>get all the spell focus/greater you don't want
>pick expanded arsenal in the school you want
>profit
Let's say you took 6 spell focus in different school of magic the one you pick with expanded arsenal would get +6 dc.
It's illusion/enchantment
>expanded arsenal would get +6 dc
That's insane lmao.
Also iirc if you get more spell focus after picking expanded arsenal the dc keeps getting added. However you absolutely mustn't take spell focus in the school of magic you plan to use or else expanded arsenal is wasted.
That's how phantasmal killer one shot most things
Will Goldchads get a 9th level spellbook?
>mythic cape adds 9th level slots
Is Conjuration even any good aside from Grease?
And is it even possible to deal good damage with Evocation spells?
Pit spells are good, yes. Hampered a bit by stinking cloud not being effective here.
Most certainly, just do not expect to add a fireball slot on any wizard without a proper build and end encounters
So do I absolutely need to do cross blooded sorc shenanigans?
I can do amazing damage as a Kineticist without having to fiddle so much...
Also, is there an equipment that grants Dragonkind 3 for free? Or other shaleshifting spells?
Dip is more for full spellcasters. You sacrifice a d6 from a spell like Chain lightning to get +38 damage guaranteed.
Kineticists with Diadems will do just fine already and they have tehir moronic infusions.
>+38
This train has no breaks. If I ran numbers right you can get something like flat +100dmg on shit like fireball.
>crossblooded sorc +2 per die
>mythical bloodline +1 per die
>aspect of brimorak +2/3/4 per die
>bolster
>pyromania ring
And there are more items giving flat +X per die I think
Malander's insult is a free 2d6 unholy damage.
Hide Armor of Elemental Carnage is another +1 to elemental spell damage, but it is a medium armor.
And you have the relic that lets you cast a spell as Mazimized and Empowered if yo ucats the same spell 3 times (if you cast a cantrip 3 times, you can open the fight with a maximized+empowered spell for free).
So yes, by mid/late chapter 3, your blaster is in a good place
conjuration is less effective than in kingmaker but still good. evocation should be bad but is actiually good due to mythic shenanigans
Its kind of silly how bad some schools are though
>Its kind of silly how bad some schools are
A lot depends on the difficulty. Schools that depend on save-or-suck or save-or-die are good on lower difficulties, but useless on higher difficulties. Illusionist Nenio can be amazing or almost worthless depending on your difficulty settings because either she's one-shotting homies left and right with shit like Phantasmal Killer and Weird, or literally everything resists it because their saves are boosted to high heaven.
Nenio clears the field piss easy on hard if you know what you are doing. I am saving unfair run for EE, but if it's just +4 on stats, it's still doable.
Nenio is good because of how Expanded Arsenal works. If they change it in EE she will drop in power quite hard
I did not use expanded Arsenal, just mythic spell focus. However, I did focus my cooking on things that helped her (like Acorn pies).
Like, the equipment you get to boost DC and lower saves is moronic
There's a ton of shit to lower saves too
>shaman + witch evil eye
>touch of madness
>shaken
>incense synthesiser
It's -26 at level 20
Mobs also start off combat fully buffed with every spell in thw game on unfair by the end
Just dispell sneak attack their every buff
It usually involves making a sacrifice somewhere
>woljif can do it
>lose him as an alchemist to apply buffs like transformation
>manlet can
>but he dies to a stiff wind
>??
>rogue dispel
Doesn't it dispel the debuff too? Iirc I took it on Gaybor and that's what happened
Does it really? You mean like remove Evil Eye? Haven't noticed but that would suck
I haven't confirmed it myself since it did not happen in my own run, but Aeon bane can apparently even dispel plot triggers from enemies (shit that triggered enemy phase or reinforcements)
>Doesn't it dispel the debuff too?
Yes, all dispels work like that.
I don't think it would remove evil eye, since it's not a spell effect.
pick lich mythic path and get mythic spell focus in abjuration, your dispell dc will be 33, areelu's is 34 so you dispell everything in the game with 100% success rate
The dragon in Azata used to do this but I heard they nerfed him
>I'm shit at the game the post
Even on harder difficulties nenio comes out okay due to expanded arsenal.
It depends on the difficulty, but some classes like Necromancy just get no equipment. Even as a Lich it's far from your best school.
With proper dice stacking and bolstering you can deal moronic damage with Evocation spells, and even more with Azata zippy magic.
>Development of the Combat Relief mod has stopped due to Owlcats new EULA
It's not new, he just never noticed.
Gay. It's not like Owlkeks would ever send a warning or DMCA or anything like that. It would just end up as a bad PR nightmare for them.
lawtards
How are shadow conjuration/Evocation spells? Do they benefit from illusion focus?
I want to give myself Dragonkind 3 and other shape-shifting spells from Level 1 using toybox. How can I accomplish this?
>tfw varnhold's lot characters have better banter and chemistry than anything in the main game
a wrong barony was chosen
What do you think about my portrait for a Kitsune character?
I think you are a homosexual
But why?
Lucario looks pretty amazing as a Kitsune.
Just trying to pick a class.
If you're a lvl 20 wiz going legend then taking 10 loremaster and 10 hellknight signifier are you caster level 40?
What I've read is that if you take at least 8 levels of a prestige class before level 20, taking levels in your main spellcasting class will take your caster level to 28 max in legend.
there's a mod that combines all of your 40 caster levels. this is bullshit though since your damage is capped at 20 or maybe 30 if you kept the lich/angel spellbook, so it's only useful if you go gish/stack sneak attack effects on your spells with arcane trickster
Just finished up a Angel playthrough.
Really does have that feeling of being a unshakable beacon for the crusade to look up to.
post pure Paladin builds, right fricking now
20 Warrior of holy light, horse, power attack, intimidation feats.
Last stand, extra smites, unstoppable, leading strike, insiprational leader for abilities.
Mythic power, mythic focus, mythic initiative, flawless attacks , improved critical,
Most two handers should work.
Angel.
It works on hard. Normal paladin would honestly be better, but in the last 20% of the game , I did negate a few annoying crits for the party
thanks anon, will try
based
>Also, did they finally fix the ending slides for the Pure Aeon who doesn't retcon everything?
>who doesn't retcon everything?
frick, i really need to play again, haven't seen this
bold talk for someone in smiting distance
Your smite won't do shit, I'm chaotic neutral lol.
A few tips for pet and abilities/mythic:
You can teach the crane feats to your horse to raise it's AC and it works with bardings, so Bulwark is an option.
Also, Diehard may be a feat worth considering, to stay on top one more round.
Equipment wise, you can afford to use rings and amulets that are not for AC, so you could throw Half of a pair amulet to your MC and the horse.
Finally, be careful about running through enemies that are not flatfooted. When they do AoOs, they hit you, not the horse many times. COuld get you fricked
As for angel specifically, you cannot trigger Sword of heaven on horseback. Do it before you mount the horse
Neutral, you say
solid advice, thanks anon!
wreckd
i think news of this broke sometime after WotR released
i mean, they do have more than 100 people employed, so it's stands to reason they have multiple teams
i guess developing multiple games is risky, but could also be beneficial profit-wise
>i think news of this broke sometime after WotR released
It's not believable if there isn't a source Anon.
fair enough, but can't find it so, sorry ;___;
Paladin 20
Imagine being a tarded homosexual who loses his powers if he ever steps out of line.
Paladin? Not even good for a dip lololol.
Kingmaker ost is nothing to write home about compared to warth
I disagree. Just all the boss themes are great (variations of the leitmotif work very nicely and Lantern Boy's themes are also great).
Skylark, Dusnward themes, Nyrissa's theme and the main theme are also pretty good and the city themes are straight out of HoMM.
Wrath is still better, but even compared to it, Kingmaker has a very solid OST
>straight out of HoMM
no way gay. kingmaker ost isn't bad by any stretch of imagination but comparing it to homm is just slander
I understand your implication, and my answer is:
Frick you
This is the only track that stood out to me in Kingmaker.
this one reminds me of magicka for some reason, I really like how cartoonish it sounds
Well duh.
The first game bought home the cash.
The second game is what all of that cash was spent on. Live orchestra recorded BGMs with what looks like at least 50 musicians.
Are Kalesh and Qadira the same thing? I can't tell one sendBlack folktan from another
Kalesh is a big empire, qadira is one of the subordinate kingdoms
Kalesh is, for all intents and purposes, not!Persian Empire - it consists of the core "main" kingdom, and multiple satrapies. The farther away the satrapy is, the less control the Padishah has there.
When using toybox to add spells, do I need to have casting ability of the spell level to actually cast the spell?
Sounds like the Ottoman Empire to me with a Padishah and all.
Heh, they even made 3 versions of the opening theme just so they could pick and choose.
version 2
version 3
I guess they had a really good budget for the second game.
>Lich art doesn't have wenduag on it
does that mean she's the canonical choice to be sacrificed?
What kind of moronic logic jump is that?
Canon autists tend to be like that
Wenduag is in neither of them.
because angel wouldn't recruit a canibal demon worshiper?
it means that lannbros won
I wish the new DLCs add the white haired mage back into the game. She looked like she could be cute.
If you mean the one in the angel art, that's ember
Ember is ugly though.
wrong, she's the cutest
irabeth just died in iz and it made me really sad
Why is Nyrissa so fugly despite being a nymph queen?
Is it that hard to slap a gorgeous face on a plant body and green it with the bucket tool?
Beauty standards are really transphobic you know...
It's weird because Octavia at least is pretty hot.
eeeehh. she's a 6/10 at best
yet she's treated like a gigatracy. same with valerie. owlcat went full social realism?
Octavia looks like a god damned wine mom
Octavia is pretty hot. So is Kanerah.
Octavia looks like frustrated French teacher in her 40s.
She does look pretty cute.
>thousand wiener stare
no. there's no hot female party member in Kingmaker. which is ok, for me, I'm nota waifu gay
>Angel
>Battle/Nature Oracle
>implying
I was about to reply asking how Battle Oracle is even supposed to work with low BAB only to double check and find out that Oracle has medium BAB.
Being a moron really is tough sometimes.
Why is there 2 archers (Aru, Lann) and 2 hexers (Cam, Em) as companions?
Doesn't help that these are pretty much the most likable companions.
The game has four fricking archers, Wenduag and Delamere too
They are ugly so they don't count
Ranged DPS is relatively safe and harder to frick up for newer players.
The question is why is Camcam one of the starting companions when leveling her actually takes some understanding of the ruleset?
>actually takes some understanding of the ruleset
does it though? I didnt even know hexers existed when starting WotR but even I could tell that Evil Eye + Prot Luck + Chant is all I needed from her
i guess he means that it takes understanding of the ruleset to make her a tank
Oh, I suppose so. Because I built her as my backline hex and spellcaster, and I still can't wrap my head around using her as a tank
>moe blob
>likable
waifutards need to be gassed
Wait till you hear how the game has two companions that smack people in melee. And two divine casters.
>And two divine casters
And only one arcane caster
There are two full arcane casters, anon.
And the only 6th level caster is an arcane one too
do you need more?
>has two companions that smack people in melee
Even worse, they're both awful at it.
Out of all the problems Seelah, Reg and Greybor have, connecting with the enemy is not high on the list. It's usually surviving
That does make them awful at it. Except Seelah, she's really good as long as you've got the horse, though of course she's really more of a support character that's there for the auras and mark of justice.
Considering enemies are plenty moronic, you can still keep the actual threats busy with the one character that survives while the rest attack.
reg has no problem surviving if his enemies are shitting their pants running away from a manlet with a stick
Practically all of the actually dangerous enemies are immune to fear.
>Practically all of the actually dangerous enemies are immune to fear.
Not really?
Even endgame mobs like the locusts will run.
Gallus and undead/constructs are non unique enemies immune to mind affecting shit, but all of them together are still a minority
Gaybor has no business being the primary target. He's a slayer. He slays.
>can't even reach the enemies
Seelah is perfectly tanky because she can sit on a horse. Reg is awkward because hes a dex fighter in full plate and greybor will never be tanky so you may as well just accept it(and never use him when woljif does the same job better)
Yeah but mounts are lame, gay, and unaesthetic in a game where you spend most of your time indoors. Horses have no place in a CRPG. I can't even begin to explain how moronic it looks when you've got one guy galloping around like a c**t swording things in a dusty underground tomb complex.
There's a reason not a single enemy is mounted - it looks fricking stupid.
You are right anon which is why it bugs out so much which is a shame because the game showers you in mounted combat gear
Your melee martials also dont set the world on fire.
The base game is amazing but the DLC is genuinely very poor. I don't understand why the DLC for western WRPGs always needs to be some dungeon run type shit.
>install inevitable excess after beating main campaign because don't have any other games to play
>it's actually good and not cringe at all
Why do I listen to you people? It was the same with the Enigma.
They have outright removed/redesigned puzzle segments since release
Though I do wonder what makes you think favorably of the Enigma.
>They have outright removed/redesigned puzzle segments since release
Ah ok, that might make a difference.
>Enigma
Good music, some of the more interesting encounters in the main campaign, great boss fight; the story content also constitutes some of hte more interesting stuff in the game.
True, and you are hindered by annoying puzzle design which is the core problem people have with it.
There aren't even that many puzzles, and most are just easy memory matching.
>memory matching
Not really, no. Not even counting early release of the game where tiles were not even properly highlighted for the puzzles you do to get access to the enigma. People had to datamine the solutions
You don't have to do secrets of creation to enter the Enigma though. Also more than half of the puzzles in the Enigma are indeed memory matching, sometimes with multiple colors.
Anyone not become a skeleton after lich transformation?
only become a skelington in chapter 5
I am in chapter 5, I also figured it out. You dont become a skeleton after doing the ritual, you only become a skeleton after actually picking an ability at mythic rank 9
>seelah paladin 11
>gendarme 8/9
Thots?
>Lich
>Wizard
>Wendy
the way it was meant to be
Why doesn't the Queen immediately want to suck my dick?
This is a video game and I'm the protagonist, b***hes.
Well, if the "Enhanced Edition" comes with more Lich and Trickster content, I am happy.
No the devil path needs to waifu Abrogail. This is much more important because it can have an impact on future games.
What do you think of my Azata portrait?
She looks like she has sex with human men.
This is for a male character by the way.
Not sure if that matters.
looks like a troony homosexual, so perfect for the azata
Jrpgs are down the street to your right
Is it possible to change in game character portraits?
yes, but why?
I would be happier with changed appearances for Seelah and Sosiel...
can't change seelah's Black person voice anyway so why bother. If you're changing sosiel (who doesn't even look like a Black person, more like a polinesian) then you'd also have to change trever
Trever?
Seelah's voice doesn't matter so much.
I would be satisified just changing her portrait and maybe editing her character model.
>da inheritor guide mah blade!!
is kinda charming to be honest.
Sosiel looks too much of a derp.
Might also edit Ember and Aru a bit maybe.
Camellia, Lann and Daeran look great.
The Queen looks like a massive hag but not sure if I should change her or not.
>Trever?
sosiel's brother
Arcemi Save Editor I think can change the portraits, Visual Adjustments can change the in-game model.
Thanks!
Can Toybox do it?
Not that I'm aware of, although Toybox has a lot of stuff I haven't messed with
Can Toybox give you level 9 spells early?
Just want to mess with them.
You could level up your character, just go to the party tab. With that said I'd suggest that you start a new game in Inevitable Excess and make the build you want there, since you can make a level 20, ML10 character easily and then run outside and test against the mobs there. You can even go into Toolbox and "lobotomize" enemies to turn off their AI.
I don't want to level up my guy.
I just want to cheat in the story campaign and see how much fun I can have with level 9 spells in Act 1 lol.
One fast way to do it would be to give yourself mythic ranks, I think Angel and Lich get 9th level spells at ML 9 normally. Mythic Levels don't have as many things to choose at each level, usually just an ability/feat and a few powers. Just don't merge your spellbook or you'd need to get regular levels as well.
There might be some way in the stats menu in Toybox to add higher level spells and spell slots but I'd guess it will take longer to figure out than just clicking through mythic levels.
Well alright.
Thanks for the help!
How badly will Handbro seethe if I take the demongraft?
frick Owlcat, they're a shitheel company and utterly incompetent compared to other CRPG makers.
ok, swen
I was talking about an actual ludo auteur, not a meme game developer from a meme nation.
Don't be a bully!
Wrath of the Righteous is one of the best CRPGs in recent memory.
Very flawed? Yes, absolutely.
Great, fun CRPG? Also yes.
anon it's one of the only CRPGs in recent memory
I know you ignore random releases, but there have been plenty of crpgs

>ludo auteur has 3 commercial failures in the past decade and is now forced to launch a casual adventure with bad art and even worse gameplay mechanics

lmao even
Is charging while mounted broken for reach weapon users? I've noticed that when Seelah charges while on mount, she seems to do a full attack, while my reach weapon MC only hits with a single attack.
What you're describing is the intended result. Being able to full attack after a change is what's broken and unintended.
>broken and unintended
Is it? If you can use the mounts movement and still make a full attack, why shouldn't you be able to do the same thing with a charge?
>If you can use the mounts movement and still make a full attack
That's the uninteded part. You're not supposed to be able to make a melee full attack during hoers movement. Ranged is allowed though.
>Decree of School Magic: One ally is ordered to only use one school of magic, but the potency of their spells increases considerably. Caster level and DC of saving throws against this ally's spells is increased by half your mythic rank.
The devil mythic past exists solely to act as a Nenio Weird booster.
Meanwhile demom gets something like +10dc
Technically, only you benefit from demon.
It's one of the most selfish paths
Is trickster the only mythic that is better for melee than it is for casters? Ignore LL for obvious reasons.
No, demon is still better for martials.
I'd say Aeon is overall better for frontliners till the last 2 ranks as well.
Demon can reach pretty stupid heights in both cases
Do you miss a lot if you don't merge spell book?
How are Aeon, any class with good synergies with them? I was thinking inquisitor but apparently they're not deity related?
What's the more satisfying mythic path? Lich or Swarm?
If your endgame path ain't legend, it's not satisfying
>If your endgame path ain't legend, it's not satisfying
Well, maybe they'll fix that in the "Enhanced Edition".
well, i went 20 paladin. what other class synergizes well with that?
Scaled fist for martial, oracle if you want more spells.
Hellknight levels for smite chaos, pet classes for your horsey like cavalier, good old fighter (two handed or mutation, depending on weapon), possibly sohei
Swarm is fricking horrible man
Why would you not want to become a Swarm?
This world is rotten...
Order of Pyre
>At 1st level, whenever you receive fire damage, you gain fast healing 5 for the number of rounds equal to your level in this prestige class. At 5th level you gain fast healing 10 and at 9th level you gain fast healing 15 instead.
Is this strong?
I can't tell.
Nah.
What about Order of the Rack?
>Three times per day as a standard action you can target a single creature. That creature must pass a Will saving throw (DC 10 + level in this prestige class + your Charisma bonus) or become unable to cast spells for a number of rounds equal to caster level in this prestige class. At 5th and 9th levels you gain one additional use of this ability. The same effect occurs when you score a critical hit.
Especially the part where this ability gets built-in to your Crits sounds powerful. It would trigger very often with a 15-20 crit weapon.
Plus your standard crit effect feats.
Eh, not really worth it IMO when you're going to be rolling with spell resistance, elemental resistances etc. permanently.
>Especially the part where this ability gets built-in to your Crits sounds powerful
By the time you have that capstone most spellcasters will either die due to the crit, no-sell the save dc, or are Gallu and will have already dumped a quickened sunburst and then a tsunami on your party due by winning initiative
>By the time you have that capstone
Order is a level 1 dip. I think you get that crit effect at level 1.
I clearly misread the text
Man I hated those things, made the late game mildly annoying.
You either pick Godclaw for pentamic faith and morale bonus to AC, Gate for Signifer acane armor bonus or scoruge for the will debuff (kill a weakling, everyone gets the penalty)
How good of an idea is it to make Lann into a Kineticist?
It's usually best for use classes that complement their initial class.
Does the 1 Zen archer level benefit the Kineticist?
The monk level really helps with the lack of survival of the Kineticist.
Wendaug's stats are probably better.
1 dip into Fey Bloodrager gives you confusion on crit, (so long as you rage)
1 dip into Hellknight order of the Rack gives you anti-spellcaster on crit.
If the Demon path permanent rage works on the Bloodrager dip, then you could probably make a super nasty martial that executes all sorts of multiple crazy effects of the crits.
What should I make out of Wenduag?
Does Hunter Wandering Marksman work with her?
20 levels of Fighter seems like a waste.
They gave her the most boring class, the class most people already played in the previous games.
It's just a level of Fighter which is easily splicable.
What does the Throwing Axe build entail?
Seems pretty popular.
I was thinking of making her a Hunter Marksman with a Smilodon pet. Not sure if she has the Wis for the spells though.
It doesn't entail anything fancy, it's just that throwing weapons benefit from both melee and ranged feats. Which means that TWF, Double Slice, Rapid Shot, etc all apply when using them. I originally was veering her towards javelins, but at mid game there are just no good javelins available, but you'll find some really good throwing axes.
What I found her to be particularly useful is to make her my secondary dispeller. You give her Dispelling Attack for the Rogue Talent (from slayer, for example) and you'll be dispelling some shit with her, despite the high DC because you'll just be hitting 6 times per turn. And there are even Mythic feats that grant you bonus for both hitting in succession or for missing a conssecutive attack, so she can get pretty fricking nuts.
If you want to keep her classes more """"in character"""" then for Hunter you'd pick Forrester (which forgoes pet) since she's a lone hunter. Slayer is self explanatory and Vivisectionist actually fits her because she's all in for taking demon steroids for gains.
The Throwing Axe build sounds pretty good.
What do I need for it? 20 levels of Fighter?
Fighter gets weapon training (not sure if the old bug where bonuses for axes and throwing weapons stack is still there) and weapon specialization.
Slayer gets study target and sneaks for each attack and you will have like 8-9 per turn.
Ranger/freebooter have favored enemies or bond/bane and sense vitals.
Freebooter can just be a lv4 multiclass and work decently as well
Alright thanks.
I'm not going Freebooter. Pirate Wenduag feels kind of dumb.
I guess I can make Wenduag into some sort of Fighter Slayer hybrid.
If you plan on mostly taking Fighter levels, keep in mind that the capstone for fighters is pretty good.
You can but you don't need to. Works for Slayer, Vivi, Fighter, Forrester, whatever. I'm sure each of them benefits differently from TWF but it works for any of them.
I absolutely do, but even Cam with Great Spell Pen + Spell Spec + Great Dispel fails every now and then, so I have Wendu machinegun everything with dispelling attacks as a follow-up or opening move.
Once again, this is my SMG Wendu that I use for dispelling shit and mowing down mobs, you can make her the equivalent of a .50 Cal if you give her a Comp Longbow and the appropriate feats as well.
>You give her Dispelling Attack for the Rogue Talent (from slayer, for example) and you'll be dispelling some shit with her,
Do you not use debuffs or CC?
She can do literally any ranged class.
>fighter ranged
>slayer ranged
>hunter ranged
>vivisec ranged duh
With that absurdly high Str and Dex you can even turn her into a two weapon fighting sub machinegun of throwing axes / javelins with pretty decent damage.
4 Fighter/16 Slayer is probably the most optimal BAB way to build her for most of the game. You're gaining two extra net feats, including the otherwise unobtainable for Slayer weapon specialisation/weapon specialisation mythic, in exchange for losing the +4 insight attack bonus from free action quarry Quarry at 20 and a single sneak die.
I would probably argue that once you're level 20, 1 Fighter/19 Slayer is better for that Insight bonus, but by the time you hit 20 the game is basically over anyway.
Basically what this anon posts. The game tries to lead you in this direction by showing other mongrels using throwing axes and giving you frequent drops. Two hand throwing weapons are superior to bows if you can afford the extra feats, and thrown axes benefit from Strength bonuses like composite bows.
Vivisecionist might not be the best choice if you're still somewhat new, as you're losing quite a bit of BAB by 13-17, which is where the game is most difficult if you're not prepared. Sneak die is nice, but being able to hit reliably is better. If you're exploiting impossible domains you probably wont need to worry about this, but that feels like complete ass to play around.
Spawn Slayer 15 Fighter 5 dual throwing axes.
painfully new to pathfinder rules. is there a place that gathers good builds/general tips? i vaguely seem to remember from last game your AC is only as good as your touch AC
Got a GOG discount, don't let it go to waste:

i know i am better than this
crpg newbie interested in this
>do i need to play kingmaker? is WoR a good place to start?
>should i wait until the enhanced edition comes out next month?
No, Kingmaker is required playing in order to jump into WoR. And yes, you should probably wait.
No, you dont need to play kingmaker
Arguably yes but it depends what mythic path you wanted to play
