Even most Sinnoh fans don't believe that. Before BDSP released people would consistently rank DP low as "the bad ones" but Platinum high for "saving Sinnoh" despite not actually improving significantly enough to be a good game.
See this is the problem. BDSP is just as good as DP is because it's almost literally the same game. It doesn't offer anything on its own. Unlike HGSS, FRLG or even ORAS.

>praising BDSP’s Tower
That’s moronic, anon. Don’t be moronic. BDSP’s Tower is a major step down from the Battle Tree in terms of balance, and I’d argue that it’s worse than the Maison, as well. Hell, even SWSH’s Tower can be more fun (briefly) because the low difficulty allows you to bring almost anything you want and still have a shot of winning.
>BDSP Tower >OHKO spam >Multiscale, Sturdy, and Sash everywhere >reduced movepools / options limit team building even further >niche “frick you” sets (ex: Fantina has a Shedinja in one team)
I could go on. BDSP’s Tower is poorly designed in that your options for team building are restricted to an unfun degree because, on top of the game simply removing a lot of options (moves, items, mon), any amount of RNG can (and will) absolutely frick your streak to pieces when combined with the generally strong teams you’ll be facing. The margin for error / bad matchups is the smallest it has ever been, and that’s not a good thing in a format as volatile as 3v3 singles.
I think Gen4 had an awful dex. There's some good mons in there, but most of them are ugly abominations. Worse, it introduced Stealth rock and Garchomp.

Who gives a single frick if Fantina's rematch Banette only has 3 moves? There's only like 5 actual good points in here diluted by a lot of garbage that doesn't matter to anyone.

What a weird random strawmsn designed to encourage (You) farming.
Saying "that interaction was nonsense, what the frick happened?!" because stuff is bugged isn't the same as blaming the game for your poor play.
It's not to say that the glitches don't affect your experience, but only zoomies that have never played the games use them as arguments for why the games were unplayable garbage, when ultimately that's not true.
Yes, they are objective flaws, but their impact is greatly overstated.
The fact that Fantina's Banette knows Snatch in BDSP despite it being removed highlights everything you need to know about the state of the games. And not just BDSP.
The entire concept of these images was always flawed because it's just listing bugs and glitches (some of them are, others are intentional design choices made in gen 1 because they weren't "fixed" by Stadium), which while they are "problems" don't make a game which is genuinely fun "bad", which is what the image was always used for, to say "gen 1 bad".
>which while they are "problems" don't make a game which is genuinely fun "bad",
Sounds like you simply lack the ability to disassociate quality and enjoyment. Being a poorly made game doesn't mean you can't have fun with it in the same way being a competently made game doesn't make it good.
I'm not saying gen 1 was a game which didn't have a lot of bugs, the issue is everybody who's ever used that image has only ever used it to throw a wall of text at people and say "See? Gen 1 is bad actually" when most of the stuff on it is irrelevant to whether the game was actually "bad" or not. It also really says something when every point on the original image is talking about battle mechanics, shows who made it (smogonbaby).
Anonymous
>See? Gen 1 is bad actually
Yeah, because it is. Especially for a game with PvP but that's looking at it from am objective quality standpoint. As a game you can still enjoy what it offers.
>others are intentional design choices made in gen 1 because they weren't "fixed" by Stadium
Stadium was a cobbled together battle sim that only made a few changes. The first version was missing over 80 Pokemon. I don't think it's a great source to vote for whether something was intentional or not.
If technical machines break after use on black and white remakes, then I won't buy those remakes. That would be a literal downgrade I personally disagree with.
hi i made the bdsp one.
even made an updated version.
no i don't plan on updating it any time soon, because quite frankly, i don't give a shit. new bugs and other copypastes are being discovered in this shit heap every week it feels like, and i can't keep track of them all.
did you know you can't transfer a pokemon that was hyper trained in sv if it's level is under 100?
ilca really went out of their way to make bdsp free of hacked and cloned pokemon but not actually give us a reason to replay sinnoh with these "remakes".
>are you asking for a remake
I'm not, I'm just preparing myself for the inevitable of seeing no Pokestar Studios, no post-game Legend hunting (they'll just be all dumped into a single zone like BDSP), no PWT because kids these days are on they phone and don't want to play Pokemon. And forced additions like raid content.
BDSP could have it all. I truly believed they would respond to ORAS critics by updating the Platinum story and features. But they didn’t update the story in any way! It made the ORAS story and character changes look ambitious by comparsion. 2009 was the best time to enjoy Sinnoh…
No regional variants is such a baffling decision to me. Every game since they've been introduced has always had both versions available. I can't fathom why they would do that.
We got a breath of fresh air in PLA even if it was clunky and pseudo open world. It’s a shame BDSP had so many issues but I’d much rather have a new interesting iteration than let Gamefreak throw their time into a remake. They’ve shown they need all the help they can get to make games

Last I checked the Japanese site did not list it, therefore it's a spin-off.
I hate this fricking "criticism" format because it makes people add more WORDS WORDS WORDS to make the argument seem longer and therefore better. Who gives a single frick if Fantina's rematch Banette only has 3 moves? There's only like 5 actual good points in here diluted by a lot of garbage that doesn't matter to anyone.
>Noooo you aren't supposed to point out flaws and stupid oversights to make the dev team look incompetent!!
Practice reading comprehension.
The ahahahahaha point is always some cringe garbage as well.
to this day the gen 1 image remains the only good one because it actually had real problems to point out
some of these are fricking moronic
>Waah the postgame has a lot of legendaries
>Wahhh how could Mew and Manaphy be in this game its unfair!!!
That's The problem with The problem with images
>play DP
>uts good
>play BDSP
>it's good
>play Platinum
>it's also good
Kinnoh is simply good
I used all 3 mythicals to keep the game fresh as it was gonna be my 69000th sinnoh run and it ended up making the game harder
Plass is pretty good
Better than FRLG
Mechanically, yes.
As a single player RPG, no.
Game absolutely refuses to let the player miss stuff and wander around.
Yet another person who doesn't understand the original RBGY post and just uses the format to whine about preferences and subjectivity instead of objective bugs and glitches.
The RBGY post was just whining about glitches most people didn't encounter.
Most people didn't encounter psychic being immune to ghost? Cope.
It's pretty much impossible to beat the game without seeing the Focus Energy glitch in action.
You may encounter it, but if you don't know it exists, you're not gonna realize it either.
The vast majority of the issues with Gen 1 are like that.
>you're not gonna realize it either.
No, instead you'll get really angry that the game is "bullshit" while being unquantifiable since you can't see what's happening.
I don't get why people pretend these problems should be ignored when Shin Red/Blue Lite is right there and changes nothing but bugs and the GBC compatibility. Are you just weirdos who refuse to play unofficial builds of games?
>why does anyone even talk about the mainline games when mods/hacks exist?
Did you really mean that or are you just pretending to be moronic.
This is a bizarre statement when you're pretending G1's bugs don't matter.
You should acknowledge them and download the bugfix. What's the issue? I don't get it. Patching out bugs isn't like playing a fan game. It's just an unofficial patch.
That was my first reply to you, you were just being moronic. Even if it was an official patch, the idea that you can't talk about a games launch anymore is just stupid. You're obsessed with your little niche romhack and are pretending to be confused that people don't treat it like it's a Nintendo release.
>the idea that you can't talk about a games launch anymore
>I don't get why people pretend these problems should be ignored
>You should acknowledge them
Anon. Are you okay?
You didn't read the first sentance of my post, did you
Those quotes are me, you moron. I said multiple times that Red's problems should be discussed. I never said people shouldn't talk about the original releases.
And? Does it negate the time you were moronic?
>Gives up on the pretense entirely.
Thanks for wasting my time, I guess.
There is no pretense to give up. Is this why none of your arguments make sense? Because you were assuming I was having some secret subliminal argument instead of what I was actually saying? That's literal medical schizoactive disorder behavior.
One last time, in case you're stupid instead of shitposting.
Anon was downplaying RGB's flaws.
I was saying the flaws should be discussed, and there's no reason to downplay them when you have a bugfixed version available. People should talk about them.
Hey remember when I told you "read the first sentance again"? Because it looks like you didn't.
Yeah, okay, you don't want to talk. Piss off.
Are you... okay? Do you need a minute?
Respond. Now.
>instead you'll get really angry that the game is "bullshit" while being unquantifiable since you can't see what's happening.
>NOOOOOO I COULDN'T BEAT GARY BECAUSE MY FOCUS ENERGY DIDN'T WORK, THIS IS BULLSHIT!!!
- something literally no one has ever said in the history of the franchise
What a weird random strawmsn designed to encourage (You) farming.
Saying "that interaction was nonsense, what the frick happened?!" because stuff is bugged isn't the same as blaming the game for your poor play.
It should mention that it reinstated the "Suction Cups don't have their overworld effect" bug that Platinum fixed
Stupid argument. What you don't know can hurt you.
It's not to say that the glitches don't affect your experience, but only zoomies that have never played the games use them as arguments for why the games were unplayable garbage, when ultimately that's not true.
Yes, they are objective flaws, but their impact is greatly overstated.
johto, sinnoh, and galar are peak pokemon
and Unovagays never learned anything from this and begging GameFrick for a remake.
You know what? Let them get fricked
The fact that Fantina's Banette knows Snatch in BDSP despite it being removed highlights everything you need to know about the state of the games. And not just BDSP.
Is there a place for images like that? Where do you guys find these images?
i make them myself.
all low quality pokemon games get one.
So all of them?
Explains why they're so bad, the gen 1 one is fine cuz it has actual.gripes. this is minor, nitpicky shit and opinions. Dumb and gay
They most likely won't have Triples and Rotations either so it's going to be a guaranteed downgrade.
hi i made the bdsp one.
even made an updated version.
no i don't plan on updating it any time soon, because quite frankly, i don't give a shit. new bugs and other copypastes are being discovered in this shit heap every week it feels like, and i can't keep track of them all.
did you know you can't transfer a pokemon that was hyper trained in sv if it's level is under 100?
ilca really went out of their way to make bdsp free of hacked and cloned pokemon but not actually give us a reason to replay sinnoh with these "remakes".
>are you asking for a remake
I'm not, I'm just preparing myself for the inevitable of seeing no Pokestar Studios, no post-game Legend hunting (they'll just be all dumped into a single zone like BDSP), no PWT because kids these days are on they phone and don't want to play Pokemon. And forced additions like raid content.
BDSP could have it all. I truly believed they would respond to ORAS critics by updating the Platinum story and features. But they didn’t update the story in any way! It made the ORAS story and character changes look ambitious by comparsion. 2009 was the best time to enjoy Sinnoh…
Yeah, for all of ORAS faults, it added some new stuff like Lisia, the redesigns for the Teams, the Delta Episode
BDSP >> ORAS
And people opened the eyes sinnog ganes are trash
No regional variants is such a baffling decision to me. Every game since they've been introduced has always had both versions available. I can't fathom why they would do that.
Sinnoh is dogshit, the only good thing about gen 4 was hgss
Test
test this dick in your ass
Sorry, I was seeing what the deal with the "posting has been blocked for your IP" I got. Didn't know it could be board specific
We got a breath of fresh air in PLA even if it was clunky and pseudo open world. It’s a shame BDSP had so many issues but I’d much rather have a new interesting iteration than let Gamefreak throw their time into a remake. They’ve shown they need all the help they can get to make games
BDSP is better than DP and a better remake than ORAS - thats a fact
vs Platinum is debatable
The only reason why people dislike it, is because it is a Accurate, faithful remake. It's just like the originals, absolute mid.
>It's just like the originals,
so amazing
