Same, I didn't expect it either. I'm used to PinnochioP making upbeat fast paced songs so him making ultimate nostalgia fuel got me out of nowhere.
It made me remember a Pikachu plush that was the last gift a childhood friend gave to me before I moved away that was later gone in a house fire. I miss you buddy, sorry for not thinking about you for so long.
Yeah, I'm used to PinnochioP being really "hype" too and I expected this one to be similar to the other ones in the collab. But not only did it not follow the same pattern of pun after pun (I like puns, but it was getting a lil' repetitive imo), it just managed to feel so nostalgic...
Makes me think of all the times I've used Pokémon to escape from reality, of all the people I've met through this franchise, etc. Damn, this franchise is such a huge comfort series.

There are many videos (on Youtube) that complain about Youtube compression. If you have at least decent headphones you will hear much more detail even from a 320kbps mp3 than you do from Youtube, no need to go full lossless to hear the difference.

It never bothers you before you hear it. I remember I used to listen to 128kbps mp3s back in the day and it didn't bother me either. Once you hear the difference it will start bothering you and you will never be able to go back. Because of this, sound quality can be considered a kind of slippery slope.

Well, as long as you're going after better quality files you will at best need more space to hold them (lossless songs usually take 30MB each on average). It really accelerates once you start looking for better hardware.

imo this song is playing it too safe. The cord progression is grade school level and technically it's not a bad thing but it doesn't have any Vocaloid identity. All in all I'd rate this better than the other 3 songs

I didn't quite, but it's about times changing while poking at nostalgia and a deeper love for pokemon, with a particular feel to the music, especially with the use of the pokemon center theme. Liable to give feels.
Bit biased though since I'm a long time fan of his. In recent years his music has started being a bit more same-y sounding, but he can put some real heart into them when he wants to.
The difference in quality between the songs in this collab is insane. The first two were kind of shit.
The second one is good
The third is more whatever
This was good. I like that it felt like a coherent song throughout that was just themed around pokemon and that it didn't cram a billion game themes into it just because they could.

I hope every other song is like this. Taking one one or two tracks from the games (like the Pokémon Center theme in this case) and using it as a leitmotif for the entire song. Much better than the absolute clusterfrick of the previous songs, where they tried to cram as many tracks as they could and it turned into unlistenable cacophony.
