Same, I didn't expect it either. I'm used to PinnochioP making upbeat fast paced songs so him making ultimate nostalgia fuel got me out of nowhere.
It made me remember a Pikachu plush that was the last gift a childhood friend gave to me before I moved away that was later gone in a house fire. I miss you buddy, sorry for not thinking about you for so long.
Yeah, I'm used to PinnochioP being really "hype" too and I expected this one to be similar to the other ones in the collab. But not only did it not follow the same pattern of pun after pun (I like puns, but it was getting a lil' repetitive imo), it just managed to feel so nostalgic...
Makes me think of all the times I've used Pokémon to escape from reality, of all the people I've met through this franchise, etc. Damn, this franchise is such a huge comfort series.
Frick, anon, I also shed some tears to this, I feel like such a crybaby. My life was at its lowest earlier this year but I feel like it has been improving a little bit as the year goes on, so at least there's that.
>Expecting something generically PinnochioP-ish like Ultimate Senpai or 404 since it's just a shill song >Taps into stuff like 1year or Core instead >Even the first time he's used himself as backing vocals in some years
Don't worry anon, I feel it too
Actually nevermind, after some further consideration, he's been using his backing vocals again for a bit and I just never thought about it
I'm glad, it adds a lot of depth
You can hear his voice layered under Miku's
Might not be obvious if you don't know what he sounds like though, here's one where's very prominent https://youtu.be/Oyc1zJ4L6UA or from his (ded) Daihakken channel where he's just the singer https://youtu.be/UdWtQDm-wAQ
Okay I still don't hear his voice underneath Miku's but whatever, thanks I guess

His vocals come and go so it isn't constant, but for example, you can hear him well enough here https://youtu.be/lIoi2r3f5fU?t=186

Lol it literally only "comes out" when I imagine his real voice. I think this is all just in your head.

No, thinking on it more, it might actually just be your speakers.
I got some new headphones recently with a really good low end, and going back through his songs, I'm not sure why I was under the impression he stopped using his vocals. They just got more faint over time. Can only imagine it's a hardware thing

Probably yeah, I'm using a MacBook Pro from 2016, so that might be it

Ok I can hear it slightly, but only when I'm paying attention (or when I'm imagining it).
It's like a slightly lower voice in the background, singing along
I shed tears too man, same thing happened for the GOTCHA! vid a few years back. Overstimulated by the sheer amount of melancholy tones & fluid animation combined with the chosen lyrics got me real good.
This. Finally a decent one.
...
But I would still not listen to this on a regular from my main playlist. Don't know why.
Maybe it's because all those artists are pretty much forced to have their songs revolve around Pokemon and their usual songs are more expressive because they can create whatever they want.
Screw blue haired c**t. She's just a bad voicebank, only appreciated by normalgays and weebs that pretend to like idolshit, and along the vtroongays, they do nothing but contribute to the entropy of the slow heat death of vocaloid as a medium.
That's right zoomies, you'll never get to experience Pokemania or a pre-9/11 world. You'll never play gens 1 and 2 with your friends after school, trade version exclusives and tell each other bullshit secrets about hidden legendaries who don't actually exist. You'll never find out about cloning from some nerd you met during summer break. You'll never collect tazos or those shitty Hispanic plastic cards.
You'll trade and battle with faceless bots and the pixel perfect teams they've injected, you'll have every single piece of information spoonfed to you before the games are even out and you'll constantly seethe at the fact that you were born during the most hopelessly depressing time in human history.
So sad 🙁
Whatever will I do knowing I'm won't live in this dystopian hellhole for as long as you?!
Enjoy eating ze bugs and never being able to afford a house, I guess.
Kek you're one of those guys aren't you? The kind that lives in their mom's basement and cries about how society is fricked and we're in a dystopia. Let me guess, next you're gonna say "The west has fallen"?
Liking something doesn't automatically make anyone a "loser".
You know what makes a loser? Caring what other people think of you and choosing your interests by their standards instead of liking what's fun to (you). homosexual.

What does it mean when a YouTube video is pirated? Why would it need to be pirated? You can just listen to it right there on YouTube.
And what is a youtube rip?

There are many videos (on Youtube) that complain about Youtube compression. If you have at least decent headphones you will hear much more detail even from a 320kbps mp3 than you do from Youtube, no need to go full lossless to hear the difference.

I see. I never realized. I don't think it bothered me either (LOL)

It never bothers you before you hear it. I remember I used to listen to 128kbps mp3s back in the day and it didn't bother me either. Once you hear the difference it will start bothering you and you will never be able to go back. Because of this, sound quality can be considered a kind of slippery slope.

Okay so the best logical choice for my mental health, would be to just keep listening to regular YouTube quality then.

Well, as long as you're going after better quality files you will at best need more space to hold them (lossless songs usually take 30MB each on average). It really accelerates once you start looking for better hardware.

By the way, all those weird things he buys are based on stuff that exists (and sells) in real life.
imo this song is playing it too safe. The cord progression is grade school level and technically it's not a bad thing but it doesn't have any Vocaloid identity. All in all I'd rate this better than the other 3 songs
He said the cord progression is grade school level, so it's more appealing for grade-schoolers, but he could also just have meant that the quality of the music was low...
I didn't quite, but it's about times changing while poking at nostalgia and a deeper love for pokemon, with a particular feel to the music, especially with the use of the pokemon center theme. Liable to give feels.
Bit biased though since I'm a long time fan of his. In recent years his music has started being a bit more same-y sounding, but he can put some real heart into them when he wants to.
This was good. I like that it felt like a coherent song throughout that was just themed around pokemon and that it didn't cram a billion game themes into it just because they could.
I hope every other song is like this. Taking one one or two tracks from the games (like the Pokémon Center theme in this case) and using it as a leitmotif for the entire song. Much better than the absolute clusterfrick of the previous songs, where they tried to cram as many tracks as they could and it turned into unlistenable cacophony.
I'm not going to lie bros

That's just like, your opinion, man
As much as I like some other *loids (Rin, OИE, Akari, Yuki, Stardust, COKO came to mind first), Miku Append Dark sound is peak Vocaloid.
- or since this is a PinnochioP thread:
It's been a good while since a PinocchioP song made me cry, that was fantastic.

What?
Why did he translate the
>the monsters inside my pocket(pokketo no naka no monsutaa)
as
>the pokemon inside my heart
Why do they translate it as "Pokemon in my heart" when she's clearly singing "monster in a pocket"?
If you take the whole sentence into account it's not that bad.
>"number 1 to me/in my heart"
By 中 they mean inside of you aka inside of your heart (abstract).

Kid's franchise
What does that have to do with what he said anon
He said the cord progression is grade school level, so it's more appealing for grade-schoolers, but he could also just have meant that the quality of the music was low...
I listened to it a second time and I cried a second time. I'm putting it on my playlist so I can randomly tear up while commuting to work.
It has nothing to do with my situation, it's just pure "this will never return" feeling.
Did people really cry at this song?
I mean it was okay but I like the one with the Hoenn dive theme more

The difference in quality between the songs in this collab is insane. The first two were kind of shit.
The second one is good
The third is more whatever
This was good. I like that it felt like a coherent song throughout that was just themed around pokemon and that it didn't cram a billion game themes into it just because they could.
