The Starlight actually was $180 but since this shitshow of a company only ever produces like 15 mice, it's basically always just a scam for scalpers to make a profit of gullible gays. Don't fall for finalmeme shit.
>wasting that much money
just get a mouse with a decent sensor (look up a list) and without acceleration or smoothing, and non-shit switches (I heard Omron dropped their quality). My current mouse cost ~$40 and it's lasted me well over 3 years so far. I used shitty generic mice I got for $10 and the switches would start misfiring every 6~10 months.
Now if only manufacturers being c**ts and posted what their mice contain instead of forcing people to tear them down to check.
I've got a gen1 viper ultimate that's still going strong except for the rubber grips wearing out. I'm probably sticking with this for a long time until the non-optical switches on the mouse wheel and the left side buttons start fricking up or they make a version with a hyperscroll tilt wheel and optical switches for all buttons.
I had it replaced twice because the buttons wobbled hard after about a month.
Logitech is no better with their double clicking too...
The titans are no more, they chinked out more than before.
The old ones were made in taiwain with the newer ones in china which might have something to do with it if you got one of the newer ones. Its a really good mouse if you win the quality control lottery.

they are a piece of shit. as soon as i unboxed the mouse and felt it i was like ummm nope

wow you get more and more skizoid with each post. how is this even possible?
Haven't held the other ones, but the Viper Ultimate is a bit wider than the FK2 and has an, in my opinion, incredibly obnoxious bump at the front.
You are right in that it's generally lower quality though, it is still just a mass produced Razer mouse with shoddy QC after all.
after a year though? anyway the mouse was ass otherwise. fricking terrible software, thumb buttons too small, the buttons near the top always getting accidentally hit, and that fricking paddle tricks games into thinking its a controller so if i wanted to actually use a controller, i had to unplug the mouse. good riddance. im just glad it was a gift.
>this gay doesnt know how to solder in a $1 switch

paying $30 is faster and easier than saving a garbage mouse.
I had a mouse from them and the sensor had such long falloff range that it would move the cursor as far as 1/4 across the screen whenever you lifted the mouse even just a bit off the mousepad, which a do all the time

Too late, I got this because it has those new optical switches and a bunch of macro buttons. I'm so fricking tired of buying G600s. I would've given Logitech $120 for one that actually lives longer than a year. I actually really like the cable too, it almost feels like a shoestring Everything else about it feels like the G600 to me, slightly lighter but familiar weight. Best compromise for not having a ring finger button is the weird thumb button on this too.
Also forgot to mention: The worst part about this mouse is the scroll wheel, it's pretty shit. Feels like when you pull out that old backup mouse and it doesn't like to scroll until you wear it in again. Except this doesn't wear in, feels like there's constant friction on the wheel that makes it not want to spin.
I've had my G600 like 8 years and it's fine other than the middle click shitting out in the last year lmao. Although I almost only use it for playing FFXIV after the first couple years.
Based Kone xp enjoyer. I bought one off Amazon in march I think and it’s my favorite mouse. My gf is really hard on all her mice and breaks every mouse I get her and she uses my PC more than hers too game and broke my last two mice in a few months and she still hasn’t broken this one. The Roccat software isn’t bad once you get used to it, I have like 5 different profiles. Also don’t forget if you have a nvidia reflex monitor like I do to plug the mouse into the monitor cause it’s a reflex mouse.
I like the software too. I had to use the really old Logitech Gaming Software because I also have a G29 and it doesn't work at all basically with the new shitty software. Now I have a mouse that has all the same features on a software that's actually updated. I also don't get that annoying as frick memory issue where my profiles don't save to the mouse. So when I go to my BIOS I have more than 3 DPI to work with. I still have LGS for the wheel but I'm not worried about that since I only ever use it to change small things and it just werks for that.
I really like that it came with extra mouse feet too, in case something inside does eventually die I have the feet already. And seriously that cord is really nice, I don't know why every other mouse has that hard as frick cable when this is so weightless and nice feeling.
its lighter than i usually prefer, but im getting used to it. the clicks are loud and the left click is the loudest for some reason. it competes with my mech keyboard. doesnt bother me, but its something to be aware of. scroll wheel feels a little too "soft" and barely notched, which probably means that its going to turn to complete mush eventually and getting a single scroll out of it will be impossible. the middle click is good though. has a defined click with no travel and is easy to push in without accidentally scrolling. for now anyway.
its exactly what i was expecting from the cheapest of the big name gaymen mice. i like it so far.
oh one more thing. you can left and right clicks VERY far back on the mouse. that split down the middle? you can easily click all along it. so if youre gonna lay your fat sausages across the mouse, youll get some negligent discharges. its definitely made for claw grip.
You'll have to pry it out of my cold dead hands before you find me holding another mouse. I used the MX518 for something like 15 years before a friend got me the remake version from a few years ago.
I still have the original in my closet for if the new one ever breaks.

For me: >510 for 8 years >518 original for 11 years >518 hero now
The only thing about Hero i dislike is how loud the click is. I remember the original 518 also had this issue in the beginning but after breaking it it started going away, and before I retired it it was almost silent. The new one I've been using for like 12 months and its still loud af
No. Razer's optical switches have convinced me to stick with them for a while and I'm not about to switch off a $150 mouse (that I got as a gift) that still works great.

>using lower resolution for no reason
Based brainlet
Theres literally no reason why you wouldnt want to use high dpi. It simply gives the sensor more units to work with, just adjust the ingame sensitivity to compensate and you can still have very low overall sens with high dpi
>b-but pros use 800
Pros can be brainlets too that dont understand how tech works
>Theres literally no reason why you wouldnt want to use high dpi
The higher your DPI is, the more prone to errors you are. There is LITERALLY no benefit to having a DPI above 800/1600 other than the cursor going faster.
It's pretty funny how everyone over the last 30 years in professional settings who play video games for millions of dollars all agree on this, but somehow you, the "enlightened" random ass Ganker user is here to try to lecture people.
>There is LITERALLY no benefit to having a DPI above 800/1600 other than the cursor going faster.
Theres every reason to use high dpi, like mentioned, it simply gives your sensor higher resolution to work with. It has nothing to do with "mouse going faster" you moron lmao
Also, professional players often just copy each other without understanding WHY someone is doing something, abck in the day 800 or 1600 was the highest you could have on a mouse, and all the following generations of proplayers just do the same thing their ancestors did without questioning it, and they dont try to change it because theyve already developed the muscle memory for that particular setting, not because its better.

There was 3600+ DPI mice back in 2007 and anyone using that DPI was seen as a freak. Usually people used 800-1600 and it's only within the last 8 years that people started switching over to really high DPI. Also people sit really fricking close to their monitor where as we used to set our FoV up based on distance from the screen. And that distance was based partially on preference and how long you wanted to keep your eyesight.
It's really hard to remember the mouse I had at the time. I know what it looks like but I don't remember the name. It was a laser mouse with a really shiny black finish and some chrome stripes along the top. I'm pretty sure it had a max DPI of 3600 like most cheaper mice back then did. Maybe mine was less but I definitely remember most cheap mice having 3600 while the quality ones maxed out around 2000. Here's another article I found with some of the others I remember:

Higher DPI = lower input lag but diminishing returns after about 1600.

Yes and? Explain why that's a benefit
You’re terrible with grammar, and I don’t care if this is some “meme” with bad spelling. The only other homosexuals who do this also call their created characters “toons”, which is just as homosexualy.
Most gaymen mice that'll run you $40+ have one of a handful of sensors that are pretty much pixel-perfect accurate and less prone to mistakes that are common in mice with cheaper sensors. If you've got a mouse with one of those sensors and it's comfortable in your hand that's pretty much all you need.

It would be nice if it had the tilt click and two buttons behind the mice wheel in the non-meme version, and for that matter if the Trinity had the 6 button from the Pro instead of the goofy wheel, but if the sensor for this is good I might just be memed into replacing my G600 and7 G502 with one mouse except neither actually need to be replaced.

Razer is quite good as far as mainstream brands go.

Like most Logitech cheaper mice they just use the cheapest OMRONs they can currently get their hands on.
Some years that's 7N, other times it's the FK variant, in either way they are always trashy cheap switches that don't feel particularly great and have a very short lifespan due to being run at too low voltages ontop of it all.

>have a very short lifespan due to being run at too low voltages ontop of it all
that's the worst of it all with all those budget store brands using omron, there's no fricking reason for them to undervolt the switches on wired mice especially like i get it with wireless because of battery concerns and all but wired it really makes no fricking difference other than causing the mouse buttons to start double clicking and missing inputs like fricking 3x faster than it normally

Logitech sucker now. the g600 was their last good piece of technology
I wanted an MMO mouse but almost entirely for Mordhau attack direction binds. I still want one now that I don't play it often. I just having lots of buttons.
I fricking love having the full 12 button thumb grid, even outside of games having dedicated buttons for shit like copy/paste, back/forward, new tab/close tab, etc on the mouse is super useful.
Problem is I've tried pretty much every mainstream MMO mouse on the market now and they all fricking suck. There just really doesn't seem to be a single good one.
I've had a G600, like three different Nagas, the Corsair Scimitar, Steelseries' take on it, they all have design issues or shat the bed sooner or later.
It fricking sucks.
Model-O. Bought it a few months back. Been a superb mouse so far to be honest. I came from nearly 5? years of using 3 different G502s. Each one had a double clicking issue, or the mouse wheel collecting so much gunk it wouldn't scroll properly. That's WITH being (fake memey) OCD about washing my hands 4~5 times a day with soap. I wouldn't recommend getting the White version, however. It shows hand gunk / grime very clearly. It's easy to wash since the housing is smooth plastic. I've not noticed the holes getting any gunk in them either. Then again every day or two I just take a spare toothbrush and run over it and it's clean.
I got the Model D instead because I prefer the Intellimouse shape and it's been great. My only complaint is that the wire is weird as hell and likes to get in the way in a way no other mouse I've used does unless I basically tie it to my desk.
Of all the clone mice, you chose the worst brand.
Enjoy your 28ms of click to display lag.
Glorious improved a lot in the last year or so, their newer production lines are actually pretty okay.
Older models are really questionable though, all the shenanigans they were up to before getting their shit in order border on criminal.
Yeah their new line-up looks good.
Too bad I switched to Razer.
My Model O buttons started creaking like a motherfricker and the scrollwheel stiffened up.
Got a refund for it though.
Mine had scroll wheel issues after like 3 months where it started to scroll up despite me scrolling down. Shit was annoying as frick. Went with a viper ultimate out of curiosity and it's been running strong ever since. Say what you want about Razer, but their mice never failed me personally. I even have a working Diamondback and Lachesis still lying around.
This one, it supports 8kHz which is interesting to test if you have a really high refresh rate monitor but it has a really high CPU usage. Only bad thing is the Corsair software is heavy on resources.
So what are the best switches then? What mouse comes with them?
ASUS has a patent for swappable switches but only for the right and left buttons. You're stuck hoping they don't cheap out on the mouse wheel or side buttons.
mouse only matters if you play shooters , for everything else it´s a waste of moni to get some high dollaridoo when all you play is gay roguelites or dork souls.
What matters far more than the switch itself is how rigorous the mouse manufacturer's selection process and QC is.
Most high end mice use Kailh 8.0 now, but they also have a huge range on their tolerances out of the box.
So the manufacturer of the actual mice is the one who gets let's say a million switches and then has to sort through them. Maybe a thousand of them are good enough for their high end products, then 100k of the more average ones for their cheaper lines, and then the bad ones are discarded or sent back.
So really how anal the company is about their switch selection is the main thing that matters, so company reputation is everything, and that's something you can really only find out about by being a part of the community long term.
>they also have a huge range on their tolerances out of the box
That's no different for OMRON switches by the way, and a big reason companies like Logitech are so fricking hit and miss with their mice.
You might get lucky and get a G600 that lasts 20m left clicks, or you could get unlucky and get one that starts having issues after 20k left clicks.
The bigger and more mainstream the company the worse their switch selection usually is since they don't really have to care too much about their reputation with enthusiasts and can afford to replace the mice customers have die on them under warranty no problem.
Got pic related a few weeks ago, very comfy. Software shits all over logitech too, for the simple reason that it saves all the settings onto the mouse itself. Only thing I miss is scroll unlock.
Good luck anon, I loved my Scimitar while it lasted, but it didn't take long for the mouse wheel to break (it's only supported by super tiny weak looking plastic so if you use the middle click often it's only a matter of time until it dies)
Then you either got insanely lucky and got a perfect production example or just never use the middle click.
I know a ton of people that have had that mouse in my guild and every single one of them had a broken mouse wheel within ~2 years max, for my own it barely lasted a year but I also have pet placement bound to it which I use all the fricking time.
I wish it didn't have the holes on the sides. They rubbed my ring finger raw in no time at all, could glue some grip tape over them but shit like that really shouldn't be necessary.
They don't even lower the weight by much compared to how much all the moronic RGB most people will just disable adds anyways.
Yeah, theres areas on the sides where there are no holes because thats where he puts his fingers. I put mine in a similar location on my current mouse so I'm hoping they match up for me.
I also ordered it with the grip tape and I already use grip tape on my superlight, so if the holes are an issue, I'm going to cover them up anyways.
I like the deathadder V2 and I'm tired of pretending that I don't. 2nd gen optical switches feel pretty tactile, good cord, good feet, light but not TOO light (82g) and a top tier sensor. and the shape is good too ofc.
I'm left handed and honestly never understood left handed mice. Back when I first used a pc, I just used the system as is because that's simply how it was set up and it felt pretty natural. It never even occured to me to switch everything around simply because, I mean how the frick would I know right or wrong in this case?
This is because you're a subhuman. I first used a mouse aged 5 or so, and even I wasn't stupid enough to use it with the wrong hand just because someone put it on the wrong side of the keyboard.
That's exactly what I mean though. If you have never used it before there's no clear concept of right or wrong so switching that shit up out of principle seems utterly autistic. I tried it as it is, it felt perfectly fine and just kept using it that way. Just do what feels the most comfortable to you, but consider that you might be the subhuman here because I'm not the one who has to cry about a lack of choice now. :^)
I use the EC2 and it's about the only mouse that hasn't given me trouble. I don't even have anything positive or negative to say about it, it just works.
I have a million keys on my keyboards, nerd. my trackman marble has served me well for 20 years and will continue to do so long after you die from ingesting dubious energy drinks, as implied by your gayman shit taste
My trackball was made by some guy in his garage, yours was made by fricking logicuck, second only to Razer in the gaymer olympics.
I tried the marble mouse 20 years ago, it was fricking shit. The ball gets stuck constantly, the top speed is a joke, the general design is uncomfortable and 4 buttons is terrible.
when my Trackman Marble was made, RGB lighting wasn't even conceived and Logit*ch was a respectable brand. I haven't bought any Logit*ch shit ever since this board sprung into existence since everything I own was built to last and at this rate I will never replace any of it. anyway I respect your trackball a lot more after this post and have fun with it, c**t.
The Orochi v2 has the same design, but is lighter, has better switches/sensor, and lower latency if your G305 ever craps out on you and you want a replacement.
g305 for 4 years now. Despite all the memes, not once did it doubleclick on me. Built like a tank, no input lag whatsoever, fits in my hand well. Only drawback is that it needs a battery every ~2 months.
>is poor and mald
LAMAO besides, i didnt have double clicks on any logitech mice ive bought
What do I get to replace my G400S?
I heard new Logitech double clicks and I dont want to get a mouse every year, this one has lasted me 8+.
I heard good things about the Razer optical switches, maybe a viper ultimate?
I'm reading this from the couch and every time I see double dicks.
the only lightweight MMO focused mice, shape is good, basically a Viper with a bigger hump, sensor is alright but outdated, a pm 3550 iirc, retuned into their own whatever marketing name they got, its solid but at that price tag there are way options in regards to the sensor, but knowing its meant for MMOs and such I wouldn't worry about it.
battery life is dogshit, I owned an Aerox 3 and that 80 hours of battery life its basically wth RGB turned off and low polling rate, and maybe, just maybe, it lasted those 80 hours.
its also water and dust rated so don't need to worry that much about the holes
If you are looking into it because you play MMOs I'd get it, its the only lightweight mice for MMOs so thats a plus, but please try to find it cheaper, the full price is insane, specially knowing you can get an Aerox 3 wireless for like 60 bucks all the time.
the naga pro trinity its pretty good and the battery last almost an entire week non stop, but its not lightweight, it weights 120g vs 89g of the aerox 9
if weight its not the issue I would get the naga pro trinity
Imagine having to put holes in your mouse just so your feeble zoomer hands can move it
Meanwhile my mouse could probably be used to bludgeon somebody to death with and still work afterwards.
I fricking believe they put some magical gunk generators inside this thing because it's always fricking dirty. I wash my hands all the time, yet it's all disgusting in a few days
My G502 has started double clicking and the scroll wheel is dragging because there's some garbage inside the mouse. Yet I can't really fix it since the last time I opened my MX518 I realized that the replacement teflon pads cost more than a new mouse, and that I couldn't actually put the spring in the clicky thing back together due to my incredibly shaky hands.
Is there any mouse with >unlockable scroll wheel >side clicking scroll wheel >thumb rest >three thumb buttons, minimum
that isn't incredibly unreliable Logitech shit? These things always start double clicking for me. Bonus if the pads are actually cheap to replace.
A pinkie rest would be nice too.

short answer no.
I've tried to find one while my g500 was being repaired and the best I could do was a shitty logi m500s with a crap sensor and only 2 side buttons.
the double click happens on every mouse because they all use the same shitty chinese microswitches which use shitty chinese metal for their leafsprings (the internal clicky bit). at best you can get jap ones which might last a little longer.
mouse design is so shit these days I've given serious thought to just making an offbrand g500/g400 with better optical sensors and selling them myself.
I've been replacing the springs on my g500 for like 10 years, so yeah it's viable. Though you may need to make sure you buy compatible ones. The alternative to that is you can solder the entire microswitch in.
It's cheap to buy new mousefeet and the switches in my experience so I dont see why not. the hardest part is figuring out the delicate insertion of the leafspring but once you understand that it's very easy, just practice on the spring you take out until you get it so you dont ruin the good ones if you buy high quality and reference youtube videos.
>the double click happens on every mouse because they all use the same shitty chinese microswitches which use shitty chinese metal for their leafsprings (the internal clicky bit). at best you can get jap ones which might last a little longer.
Even the worst Omron switches would last way fricking longer if most modern mouse manufacturer's didn't insist on running them at too low voltages to accommodate modern MCUs which require far lower voltages than them.
You can still find old office mice from 30 years ago that use basically identical switches and work flawlessly after all this time, just because they didn't get run at less than half of the intended voltage.
It's pretty fricked and there's not much anyone is doing to try and fix it since many people see "Japanese Omron" or "Kailh" or whatever and think that means they are high quality and will last forever and don't even give anything else a chance.
Razer is one of the very few companies that's at least attempting to go against the grain and revolutionize this whole garbage with their new optical switches, but those have their fair share of own problems right now.
they list their sensor as "AIM-WL" which seems to be proprietary, not a huge issue since companies like glorious have proprietary sensors, theirs is called "BAMF"
MCU is perfectly fine and a google search says it shows up in the pulsar xlite v2 mouse
switches are gateron or kailh like every other microswitch mouse under the sun i imagine, i'd be leery of omron switches since those are logitech's switch of choice
assuming this spec sheet on the store page is accurate i don't actually see any problem with the mouse
"the MCU isn't made in china" is weird to bring up and means nothing and there's about as much verification this daewu company is doing good QC as there is that logitech, razer or corsair are doing good QC, and we all know how logitech is with QC
I specifically brought up that the MCU isn't "Made in China" since you were so adamant about everything being made there for whatever inane reason.
Like I said, if you want to buy that mouse buy it, but spending 61 fricking dollars on something with so many question marks is absurd when there's plenty of proven mice with extremely good value for way less than that.

He's talking about the same exact shit the video is about. Increasingly more noise from oxidation because the switches are ran below their wetting current with the recommendation to just swap the entire switch when it starts going bad.
>spending 61 fricking dollars on something with so many question marks
What question marks? Looks fine to me. Doesn't say what brand of switches but that boils down to Omron, Gateron, Kaillh or Outemu(?), none of which are bad. Sensor isn't gonna be an issue with that class of MCU driving it. What's the hubbub? Where's your sticking point? Is it just that it's not Razer?
You don't need a charging cradle if you buy any remotely modern mouse.
They all last weeks on a single charge and will notify you well in advance of them running out so when their LED starts blinking red or whatever you just plug them in at the end of the day.
Don't buy literal chink shit just because it comes with a cradle, that's way up there among the most moronic things I have ever heard.
>Don't buy literal chink shit
I am buying literal chink shit no matter which brand I pick and one of the established GAYMER brands with a charging cradle costs twice as much
I've also ordered many things off of Aliexpress before and not a once gotten chinked so we're barking up the wrong tree
Enjoy your mouse anon.
I'm sure it won't come with the most dogshit components imaginable and will absolutely have gone rigorous QC at the hands of the most detailed orientated Chinese housewives they could find.
The product description doesn't even go into detail what parts they used anon, you'd be a fricking idiot to spend more than 10$ on that.
For 60$ you could buy an Orochi v2 and get yourself a nice dinner with the change.
This is a very epic meme but again I remind you that all of the goods you could possibly offer up in its place are also Chinese-made and also sold domestically in China >The product description doesn't even go into detail what parts they used
What
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3256803979044234.html
Go seethe about Aliexpress on Ganker, you might find an inbred that also believes anything sold by a China bugman is bad and thinks Razer is held to a higher standard than anything they produce for themselves
Made in China means frick all. There's extremely high quality products "Made in China" and literal refuse that will only ever see a landfill. The only one who seems to obsess over that is you.
And yes, that product description does NOT go into detail what components they use.
The only thing on there they clearly label is the MCU, which by the way is from Taiwan and not Made in China since the Chinese semiconductor market is basically nonexistent.
And another yes, I do infact think Razer is held to a much higher quality standard than a literal who Chinese company that doesn't even clearly label what parts they use.
QC is literally EVERYTHING for mice with how high tolerances on production necessarily are, and a big brand with a known track record is abso-fricking-lutely going to have better QC than literal who Chinks that can't even give you a proper product description.

they list their sensor as "AIM-WL" which seems to be proprietary, not a huge issue since companies like glorious have proprietary sensors, theirs is called "BAMF"
Wait if you plug the usb wire to a wireless mouse it will charge from the PC? Why do people get those charging docks then? I thought the alternative would be to replace the battery
Sorry for being ignorant I only ever used wired mice
Almost all wireless mice these days have a wire with a "dongle" on the end that acts as the receiver. When your mouse runs out of juice you just remove the dongle part and plug the wire into your mouse. Then your mouse charges in 1 hour and you can still use it while charging. When done, remove it and put the dongle back on the wire.
Depends on the mouse.
For something like the Orochi v2 you have an actual physical AAA or AA battery in there that depending on usage will last about 1-3 months, then you pop it out and replace it with a new one. Can get rechargeable batteries and just swap the same 2 sets back and forth too obviously.
For mice with built in batteries you just plug in the USB-C for an hour or two every 1-2 weeks, or alternatively if it supports wireless charge set it on a wireless charger, for example the one you use for your phone, every now and then.
In either case it's a complete fricking nonissue and charging stations are the joke of the century.
It's this fricked up diagonal half-claw grip. I'd need a pinkie / ring finger tray on the bottom right side of the mouse, where the small notch is on the G502. Never see a mouse like that.
have you seen the g303 shroud edition, that one was made for claw/fingertip, maybe it works for you? I gotta agree with you thats a weird ass grip style
What do I get to replace my G400S?
I heard new Logitech double clicks and I dont want to get a mouse every year, this one has lasted me 8+.
I heard good things about the Razer optical switches, maybe a viper ultimate?
I use a bigass desk-mat, dirt cheap and big coverage, my entire desk being a mousepad is liberating
Yes I fricking need more now because I've seen the light
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01798VS4C
>palm pleb
You're just mad that you don't have powerful enough arms to palm grip on 1 sens with 400 DPI while swinging your entire arm to move across a gigantic mousepad. Stay jelly, armlet.
All I want is a mouse that won't doubleclick, isn't covered in gunk collecting holes/ridges, isn't covered in glowing gaylights, and has maybe 2 thumb buttons.
Is that really so much to ask?
>paying for shit I'm not using
Do you know how much an LED strip and RGB diffuser plastic bit costs? Not as much as you're thinking and definitely not enough to even warrant a fuss
Too bad the G500 was horrendously designed and lasted, at best, a week.
I've never loved a mouse like I loved my G500. RIP sweet prince.
I've been using a g303 Daedalus Apex ever since, it's been God knows how many years and it still hasn't shown any sign of fatigue.
If only the G500 could've been that resilient though...
Holy shit, you homosexual need to grow up and move on with your lives, i understand you have some form of comfort in sticking to your old ways, like grooming kids, but atleast catch up with modern tech
been using the g pro wireless for almost two years and the side buttons are starting to give me shit. shame, logitech used to be god tier in all aspects, but now it's just made of garbage components that wear out too quickly.
The thing is that you're less likely to have trouble with cables dying.
Sure, you can resolder them and stuff, but replacing a battery, whilst more costly, is easier I believe.
Also, the uncluterring of your deskspace if you were to remove all wires sure does a lot to improve looks.
I'd still take a wired product over a wireless one any day though. I'm paranoid about wireless, idk why, I feel like they're just worse products.
>I'm paranoid about wireless, idk why, I feel like they're just worse products.
I've been an FPS nutjob since 1999 and my Logitech G Pro X Superlight wireless is in my top 3 of all time mice that I've ever had. It's up there with my fond memories of Microsoft IntelliMouse 3.0 on IceMat, MX518 on a Func pad and the OG Deathadder on a QcK.
Latency is basically a nonissue if you buy any modern wireless mouse and use 2.4Ghz without obstructing the dongle. Sure it's ever so insignificantly higher than with a wired mouse, but if it's good enough for professional CS players competing on a world level it's good enough for (You).
Battery life has improved drastically too. Most mice will easily last weeks, then you just plug them in for an hour or two and you are good for a couple weeks again.
Whatever you say. The fallacy of thinking lighter = better never ceases to amaze me. The switches could be better, that much is true, but the 703 goes on sale for 50-60 bucks frequently and you won't get a better deal for an all around wireless competitive mouse. The Hero sensor feels identical to the 3360 which is the best sensor I've ever used.
Not that anon but isn't "being light as frick" like literally the entire selling point of those Logitech Lightspeed mice?
I've never used this "Hero Sensor" either but I have a hard time believing there is any noticeable differences compared to the 3370 most high end mice come with nowadays. What makes it so much better?
Main difference for the HERO sensor is it's designed and tested for 0% deviation from spec.
So if you set it to 1000 DPI it will ALWAYS be exactly 1000 DPI vs quite literally every other sensor that will have some minor variation and instead of exactly 1000 DPI might be moving between 995 and 1005 DPI.
You can probably count the number of people that can play accurately enough for that difference to be perceivable mid-game on your fingers, but that doesn't change the fact that it's objectively superior.
2.4 GHZ dedicated receivers (NOT Bluetooth) can beat wired for response time on a couple of mice and match it on everything else, even shitty 2.4GHZ blows Bluetooth away. They're excellent these days
The Logitech Lightspeed wireless mice with Hero sensors are objectively the best mice to use for gaming right now. G703, G603, pro wireless, whatever. The only shitty thing is they need to be replaced too frequently >former sponsored cs player
Whatever you say. The fallacy of thinking lighter = better never ceases to amaze me. The Hero sensor feels identical to the 3360 which is the best sensor I've ever used.
I'm a G Pro X Superlight owner and I'd say that there's a couple of other mice that are just as good, if not better. The newcomer VAXEE OUTSET AX seems interesting and tons of people have started using them, but I haven't done actual research on it myself yet. Then there's also Razer Viper wireless mice which are good. Zowie has 2-3 mice that are also still top tier. Finally(heh) there's also the FinalMouse brand which has some very good ones, but they are extremely expensive and extremely hard to get.
Because they are fricking huge. If you google gaming mouse the first two results will be Logitech and Razer.
You don't need to actually be good if you have their kind of market presence, just good enough.
Their build quality is good. Not amazing, not bad, but good. Their sensors are stellar, their wireless performance above average, they are just good mice.
The main problem with Logitech are the switches they use, in large part due to what
Because in your case the spring was faulty. That can happen too, but it's far from the only factor.
man... I had so many problems with Logitech products in the mid 2000's. It put me off of them forever. Yeah, laser sensors were a new thing and all, and mice have gotten better, but still. Fortunately with Razor I've always looked at how ungodly expensive they are with everything and never bothered.
everything else is just as bad or worse. I bought 3 roccat owl eyes off amazon and within a few days to a week every single one started double clicking
Lowering the weight by 5-10g depending on the mouse.
It does actually make a pretty noticeable difference if you compare a heavily holed shell vs one that doesn't have any, especially if you use fingertip or claw grip.
A lot of manufacturers go way overboard and also drill holes into spots where they really shouldn't and only get in the way though, so that kind of sucks.
You clearly don't use fingertip then. I have swap-able shells for my mouse, one holed, one solid, and it's VERY noticeable.
I still don't use the holed one since I don't enjoy having to clean my mouse with compressed air once every week or two, but still.
Are you the same guy that kept going on about schizos for talking about things you don't understand earlier?

Slightly heavier mice are good with palm grip to do long smooth and controlled sweeping motions, but just needlessly adding weight for the sake of it has never been in style.
Maybe you are confused by people transitioning from heavier office mice to gaming mice for the first time and adding weight since they were used to their mice weighting twice as much as before their "upgrade".

Pure fingertip places almost no strain on the wrist compared to palm and especially claw grips.
Most Ergo are kind of a meme by the way. They are big and clunky and if you don't use them properly, meaning purely out of your arm with zero wrist movement which isn't very natural at all and takes a shitload of learning to get used to, will actually do more harm than just using a normal mouse.
If you really want to take care of your wrist you should use a track ball.

fingertip is the best for quick precision actions but dogshit at long swipes
claw is okay precision and speed and okay at longer swipes
palm is dogshit for precision but the best at long swipes
really depends on the game what you need, most games have a bit of everything so claw is great but if you mainly need lots of very precise shots in quick succession fingertip is king

>how weak are your arms that a few holes making the mouse weigh >10g less is a big deal?
I wish people like you would stop this dumbass "HOW WEAK ARE YOU?" non-argument. It's like asking a marathon runner if they have weak legs because they want to use lightweight shoes.
Something people don't talk about often with mice is how fast and responsive the clicks are. I started with a Gpro X and later tried the razer viper v2 pro. Both cost around the same but the viper was unusable for me since by comparison, each click was significantly heavier and slower to react than the superlight.
Because that's entirely dependent on how lucky you get with tolerances and will never be exactly the same even if you get the same exact model mouse multiple times.
You can glue some button spacers to the actuator stems on your mouse buttons to change how responsive the clicks feel really easily though.
For sure, in your example it's two entirely different switch styles too.
I was more just talking generally, button spacers are something people often overlook even though they make a huge difference in how the mouse feels
I was watching a valorant tournament and at a glance all the players were using it too, seems like it's the golden standard. IIRC bjergsen and simple use it too
it has a great shape and the clicks are nice and the sensor is good, typically wireless mice are heavier but this one is light and works great. the white skates or whatever they call it on the bottom also gives it a nice glide, while some other mice can feel heavier/drag more.
>logitech MX518 legendary 16k which is pretty damn good, but it has mousewheel issues like all logitech mice and also due to its surface attracts gamer gunk constantly >a logitech g400 with cable issues that i don't use anymore but keep anyway >a razer viper 8khz which i think is pretty great but i don't have the specs to use it at 8khz so i set it at 2khz to 4khz depending on the game >a razer deathadder which lasted a year and i threw away in disgust into the bin and i hated this mouse so much it almost put me off razer entirely
>buy cheap 10 € and lower mouse >mousewheel starts to fail x months down the line >buy less cheap 15-25 € mouse >mousewheel starts to fail x months down the line >buy mid 25-40€ mouse >mousewheel starts to fail x months down the line

trust me you really dont. I have a mouse like it with all the cutouts and it's pretty much just a cheese grater for your hand
Get a job
There's infinitely more worthwhile things to get with $400 than a mouse. Like a Bloodborne Machine, or Full Body Tracking for VR.
>wasting that much money
just get a mouse with a decent sensor (look up a list) and without acceleration or smoothing, and non-shit switches (I heard Omron dropped their quality).
Imagine ants crawling out of it after you spill your mountain dew Baja blast all over it
Viper ultimate
I've got a gen1 viper ultimate that's still going strong except for the rubber grips wearing out. I'm probably sticking with this for a long time until the non-optical switches on the mouse wheel and the left side buttons start fricking up or they make a version with a hyperscroll tilt wheel and optical switches for all buttons.
I had it replaced twice because the buttons wobbled hard after about a month.
Logitech is no better with their double clicking too...
The titans are no more, they chinked out more than before.
>the buttons wobbled hard
Was it a gen2 model? They made the side buttons stick out more.
No idea but I got a refund, twice.
I'm not spending $200 AUD on a mouse for it to be dogshit.
The old ones were made in taiwain with the newer ones in china which might have something to do with it if you got one of the newer ones. Its a really good mouse if you win the quality control lottery.
not yet but soon
>the rubber grips wearing out
they are a piece of shit. as soon as i unboxed the mouse and felt it i was like ummm nope
>buttons wobbled hard after about a month.

>inb4 it will claim i am replying to a dif anon
Haven't held the other ones, but the Viper Ultimate is a bit wider than the FK2 and has an, in my opinion, incredibly obnoxious bump at the front.
You are right in that it's generally lower quality though, it is still just a mass produced Razer mouse with shoddy QC after all.
i just bought a DeathAdder essential because the piece of shit in picrel was double and triple clicking.
seriously, do not buy roccat.
almost every single mouse does this. it's literally just a lottery at this point. just like with HDDs
after a year though? anyway the mouse was ass otherwise. fricking terrible software, thumb buttons too small, the buttons near the top always getting accidentally hit, and that fricking paddle tricks games into thinking its a controller so if i wanted to actually use a controller, i had to unplug the mouse. good riddance. im just glad it was a gift.
paying $30 is faster and easier than saving a garbage mouse.
>this gay doesnt know how to solder in a $1 switch

Can confirm Roccat is piece of shit brand
I had a mouse from them and the sensor had such long falloff range that it would move the cursor as far as 1/4 across the screen whenever you lifted the mouse even just a bit off the mousepad, which a do all the time
Any time this happens I just bash my mouse on the table keys down. Not full force obviously. Fixes it for 2-3 months.
based I do the same thing whenever my mom wont do something for me.
For some reason that mouse made me think of Widowmaker's tight latex outfit.
>My gf is really hard on all her mice and breaks every mouse I get her
weight? test in ng/dl?
How is the DeathAdder essential? I wanted to buy it.
its lighter than i usually prefer, but im getting used to it. the clicks are loud and the left click is the loudest for some reason. it competes with my mech keyboard. doesnt bother me, but its something to be aware of. scroll wheel feels a little too "soft" and barely notched, which probably means that its going to turn to complete mush eventually and getting a single scroll out of it will be impossible. the middle click is good though. has a defined click with no travel and is easy to push in without accidentally scrolling. for now anyway.
its exactly what i was expecting from the cheapest of the big name gaymen mice. i like it so far.
oh one more thing. you can left and right clicks VERY far back on the mouse. that split down the middle? you can easily click all along it. so if youre gonna lay your fat sausages across the mouse, youll get some negligent discharges. its definitely made for claw grip.
it's literally just the switch or the plastic warping. Every mouse will do this unless it has some fancy mechanical switch
Can confirm, Roccat is fricking shit

my only issue with the mx518 is how quickly it fricks up. Ive gone through 5 of them in 10 years.
I loved the angle snapping on this rubber turd
great for certain fps games that require flat tracking
Can someone post one of these gaudy speed hole ass mice with a bunch of dead skin and dust in them?
I had the original Intelimouse explorer (getting away from trackballs in the day was awesome) but they kept dying on me.
This regular Intelimouse must be 10 years in use by now.
All combined with a random Dell keyboard and an original Max Payne mousepad that came with the first game PC box.
I have been daily driving that mousepad since the game came out, it still looks good and is not frayed at all.
Swapped to the naga pro from g604. Really missing the frictionless scroll.
Is there a mouse out there that will not double click after only two years of use?
MX518 never double clicked for me, and I've been using them for over a decade
Razer uses optical switches now which don't suffer from the problems that result in double clicking like in modern logitech mice.
i never understood why they don't just use the same tech that heyboard button switches have in mice. Is the flimsy metal sheet really a requirement.
Probably to get the same feel and sound. Steelseries uses a magnet and torsion spring in their optical mouse switch.
This looks more durable, you tried this mouse?
No. Razer's optical switches have convinced me to stick with them for a while and I'm not about to switch off a $150 mouse (that I got as a gift) that still works great.
>Razer's optical switches
but those still use the metal sheet mechanism
To give the feel of a chinese omron that every other mouse mouse brand uses without the downsides of a using a chinese omron. Does the underlying mechanism really matter or are you just looking for a mouse that works differently?
the metal sheet bending is more likely to cause doubleclicks than the 90 billion durability switches
Seems more likely to fail altogether than ever doubleclicking. And if it bending is ever a concern, replacement switches clip in.
>Seems more likely to fail altogether than ever doubleclicking
Highly doubt that
Anything not logishit.
soon, when it comes out
>25 thousand dpi
Why so low
>using anything above 800dpi
>using lower resolution for no reason
Also, professional players often just copy each other without understanding WHY someone is doing something, abck in the day 800 or 1600 was the highest you could have on a mouse, and all the following generations of proplayers just do the same thing their ancestors did without questioning it, and they dont try to change it because theyve already developed the muscle memory for that particular setting, not because its better.
what's the best then
There was 3600+ DPI mice back in 2007 and anyone using that DPI was seen as a freak. Usually people used 800-1600 and it's only within the last 8 years that people started switching over to really high DPI. Also people sit really fricking close to their monitor where as we used to set our FoV up based on distance from the screen. And that distance was based partially on preference and how long you wanted to keep your eyesight.
can you link a page to it I want to see the specs
4000dpi:
https://www2.razer.com/ap-en/gaming-mice/razer-lachesis-legacy
It's really hard to remember the mouse I had at the time. I know what it looks like but I don't remember the name. It was a laser mouse with a really shiny black finish and some chrome stripes along the top. I'm pretty sure it had a max DPI of 3600 like most cheaper mice back then did. Maybe mine was less but I definitely remember most cheap mice having 3600 while the quality ones maxed out around 2000. Here's another article I found with some of the others I remember:
https://www.techspot.com/review/111-gaming-mouse-shootout/
too bad. I was interested in your personal favorite.
you can tell when a product is inferior when the literal website can't even loaded pictures
Higher DPI = lower input lag but diminishing returns after about 1600.
Change your game-sens to match.
most mouses can be programmed now.
and..?
You are a fricking moron who spreads misinformation. Please go to a site like https://prosettings.net/cs-go-pro-settings-gear-list/ and sort by DPI. You will see that 99.99% of pro people who play video games for money all use 400/800/1600 DPI.
It's so laughable that you think you are more enlightened than people who literally play video game tournaments for hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars. Get a fricking grip please.
He's right though. Just because a lot of people do something doesnt mean its the best thing and most of these players were
>hm what sens should i use
>what does getright/neo/*insert some oldtimer pro* use
>800? ok, done
30k hours of training later:
>well its too late to change now
>autists who played counterstrike back in 1945 on a 800x600 display with a low DPI mouse still play in the same ancient 4:3 ratio with low dpi simply because it's what they used to
It shouldn't come as a shock, but just because they stick to the shit they are used to, doesn't mean that it's necessarily better and they are in no means an authority on what hardware and settings you should use. You sound just like one of those sheeple who emulate whatever it is that pros do because they believe it makes them better.
>it simply gives your sensor higher resolution to work with.
Yes and? Explain why that's a benefit
I am mouse.
You’re terrible with grammar, and I don’t care if this is some “meme” with bad spelling. The only other homosexuals who do this also call their created characters “toons”, which is just as homosexualy.
Your mean dude.
Why would anyone need a mouse that costs more than 10 bucks?
that's gay dude
>Why would anyone need a pair of shoes that costs more than 10 bucks?
Most gaymen mice that'll run you $40+ have one of a handful of sensors that are pretty much pixel-perfect accurate and less prone to mistakes that are common in mice with cheaper sensors. If you've got a mouse with one of those sensors and it's comfortable in your hand that's pretty much all you need.
don't respond to that rotten prostitute
I'll talk to whoever the frick I want, dad
OK son
>hi
>new version never ever
>actually durable version never ever
logitech literally hates us and the planet
it's my second one. I don't give a shit I'll never buried with that mouse.
>I will be buried with that mouse
I've owned four
our supply will run out between you and me
it's the best mouse of all time
Razer has a clone of it.
I'd rather use a 3rd party razor than an actual razor
Razer is unironically better than logitech these days.
It's like how the chinese has caught up with their plagiarism and make equal or better products than the originals, but doesn't have the brand-tax.
Tru, but I'm a g600 fan
>Razer made a clone of G502
>doesn't have the 2 extra buttons next to left click
For what fricking purpose? I'd be glad to get off Logitech but there's literally no alternative
I think that's just a business strategy since they have so many models.
Take the pill.
nah. you can keep your hrt pill
G203 I got not a lot later has a double clicking side button of all annoying things though.
Oh the regular Trinity is still frick old and using mechanical switches, because there can't be one variant of this thing that's not bullshit.
viper mini is probably the best value-for-money mouse out there right now
I don't think people should settle for trash
it's better than 99% of mice that have ever been made historically
that's not saying much
please enlighten me with what is so utterly irredeemable about the viper mini
99% of mice are trash
I use a Pwnage Symm2, basically a higher quality Zowie FK2.
Easily one of the best fingertip grip mice you can find.
It's fully customizable with every part being easily replaceable too.
Razer is quite good as far as mainstream brands go.
They are shitting all over Logitech in price and performance nowadays, if you are on a budget you'd be an idiot to not give them a long serious look just because of decade old memes.
don't care a mouse hasn't come out that fits my needs better than this
The G600's thumb buttons are downright offensive with how horribly mushy they feel.
they feel fine to me. you have to tap them.
G600 has fricking dogshit switches lmao
You are only okay with it because you've never tried a better mouse
I don't give a shit. I like it
I like Mc Donalds too but I don't pretend it's good food lmao
you can't compare McDonald's to Walmart. They're the same
I've tried worse mice
>They are shitting all over Logitech in price and performance nowadays,
this
orochi v2 is like the defact best budget mouse for everything but palm grip with big hands
Logitech sucker now. the g600 was their last good piece of technology
I wanted an MMO mouse but almost entirely for Mordhau attack direction binds. I still want one now that I don't play it often. I just having lots of buttons.
I do all that shit with alt. my manual dexterity on keys is something else though, compared to the average person
It fricking sucks.
>son of a b***h
I had a wireless mouse with the ball on the thumb. biggest gimmick piece of shit I've ever witnessed
Post you are mouse.
everyone has posted theirs. it's your turn
post an image of the best mouse on the market
mouse
looks dead
https://www.gloriousgaming.com/products/glorious-model-o-white
Then again every day or two I just take a spare toothbrush and run over it and it's clean.
shit
I got the Model D instead because I prefer the Intellimouse shape and it's been great. My only complaint is that the wire is weird as hell and likes to get in the way in a way no other mouse I've used does unless I basically tie it to my desk.
Of all the clone mice, you chose the worst brand.
Enjoy your 28ms of click to display lag.
sounds like fake news
High debounce time to avoid RMA.
I even have a working Diamondback and Lachesis still lying around.
shit's good
Razer Orochi v2
Corsair Sabre RGB Pro
Fits really well with my claw grip and naturally large hands
what games do you played with it?
Shooters mainly, both first and third person.
makes with that mouse
makes sense
This one, it supports 8kHz which is interesting to test if you have a really high refresh rate monitor but it has a really high CPU usage. Only bad thing is the Corsair software is heavy on resources.
ASUS has a patent for swappable switches but only for the right and left buttons. You're stuck hoping they don't cheap out on the mouse wheel or side buttons.
>they throw their mice away for doubleclicking
>fix costs ~1$ and takes 2 min
lol
it just werks
>Walmart brand
Same
the undisputed best
>mmm look at that beautiful side profile
Can someone recommend a mouse for big hands. A good mouse preferrably.
do you know math? you can find most dimensions online when you're looking them up
ec1 or personally the new wireless deathadder v2 pro will be dropping on the 11th which will be my endgame mouse for my construction huge hands
currently using a chinese clone of the g9x with an optical sensor whilst i wait for this lil guy in the mail
Simple. Comfy.
based intellimouse pro enjoyers.
BASED, loved by Quakegays back in the day, loved today by FPS players with the new intellimouse version.
Mouse can't be beat.
mouse only matters if you play shooters , for everything else it´s a waste of moni to get some high dollaridoo when all you play is gay roguelites or dork souls.
I liked myself logic tech because I can program hot keys to it with a press a button
I have a MX Master 3 for work and a KONE AIMO Pro for gayming
>every g600 "alternative"
>no ring finger button for the most optimal push to talk button ever created
thanks, but i'll pass
it's OK if it's too hard for you
I don't think there is one good universal mouses for everyone. we likes what we likes
razor is a Walmart brand now.
If it works who gives gives a shit
Ah, the pro intellimouse. The thinking man's choice.
So what are the best switches then? What mouse comes with them?
>What mouse comes with them?
None. You gotta get a mouse that you like and then solder proper ones yourself.
The bigger and more mainstream the company the worse their switch selection usually is since they don't really have to care too much about their reputation with enthusiasts and can afford to replace the mice customers have die on them under warranty no problem.
using one of these now
breddy gud
Got pic related a few weeks ago, very comfy. Software shits all over logitech too, for the simple reason that it saves all the settings onto the mouse itself. Only thing I miss is scroll unlock.
I can't go back to normal mice, having so many customizable bindings is fricking amazing.
Good luck anon, I loved my Scimitar while it lasted, but it didn't take long for the mouse wheel to break (it's only supported by super tiny weak looking plastic so if you use the middle click often it's only a matter of time until it dies)
I have bean using mine for like 4 years anon...
Only homosexuals use rechargeable wireless mice. Anyone with 3 digit iq will use AA battery powered wireless mice
I have a 4€ amazon mouse and it's the best one I've ever had. Spending 50€ on a mouse is moronic
Just git gud
>Spending 50€ on a mouse is moronic
I agree, you won't really find many mice worth buying under ~100€.
let me guess you use a 5$ throwaway logitech keyboard too?
yea.
2500k
8GB RAM
windows 7
as well
She's cheesed to meet you.
shes cheesed to meet my windows defender
G Pro X Superlight
Have a MZ1 wireless in the mail, I got pretty similar hands to australian mouse man so I hope its an improvement.
I wish it didn't have the holes on the sides. They rubbed my ring finger raw in no time at all, could glue some grip tape over them but shit like that really shouldn't be necessary.
They don't even lower the weight by much compared to how much all the moronic RGB most people will just disable adds anyways.
The RGB addition is the most moronic decision ever but it probably wasn't dingo man, but XTRFY execs adding it for 'dem gamers love flashy lights.
Yeah, theres areas on the sides where there are no holes because thats where he puts his fingers. I put mine in a similar location on my current mouse so I'm hoping they match up for me.
I also ordered it with the grip tape and I already use grip tape on my superlight, so if the holes are an issue, I'm going to cover them up anyways.
nice anon I have a wired mz1 waiting in reserve for when my finalmouse ultralight phantom dies
G400
I like the deathadder V2 and I'm tired of pretending that I don't. 2nd gen optical switches feel pretty tactile, good cord, good feet, light but not TOO light (82g) and a top tier sensor. and the shape is good too ofc.
When did the mice market become so racist against lefties? Even an ambidextrous mouse has become a small niche on the market.
Anybody else hates Logitech for no backwards compatibility between unifying and bolt recievers?
frick lefties
>shove leftoid shit on righties
>racism is create
thats how i become racism
anyone used this before? how was it?
I don't even know how that thing works but it looks awful for vidya. Is it supposed to be a trackpad with a wrist rest or something?
i've got one. Handy for travel but you would not want to use it for extended periods or regularly.
Same. It's become an extension of my body.
I use the EC2 and it's about the only mouse that hasn't given me trouble. I don't even have anything positive or negative to say about it, it just works.
for (you) anons
sorry about the peanuts scraps
they're just so tasty, i clean my desk about once a week dont worry
>kona
STILL THE BEST
>mogs the shit out of you in every way
Imagine only having 4 buttons when you can have 8, plus 2 scroll pads in the same form factor.
I haven't bought any Logit*ch shit ever since this board sprung into existence since everything I own was built to last and at this rate I will never replace any of it. anyway I respect your trackball a lot more after this post and have fun with it, c**t.
poor man G Pro X Superlight (G305)
The Orochi v2 has the same design, but is lighter, has better switches/sensor, and lower latency if your G305 ever craps out on you and you want a replacement.
g305 for 4 years now. Despite all the memes, not once did it doubleclick on me. Built like a tank, no input lag whatsoever, fits in my hand well. Only drawback is that it needs a battery every ~2 months.
switched from g303 daedalus to this
>double clicks
>buys a new one
>supports the double clicks
LMAO
>is poor and mald
LAMAO besides, i didnt have double clicks on any logitech mice ive bought
good goyim keep consuming out products
I'm reading this from the couch and every time I see double dicks.
>replaces switches
>mouse is now better and will never double click
moron only problem
my gpx has the scroll wheel acting up and its not even 6 months old, fricking Logitech, even Razer has better qc than logitech
Thoughts on these mice? Aerox 9 pic related.
looks like dogshit.
>shit shape
>MMO buttons
>anus gapes everywhere
>random ass RGB
the only lightweight MMO focused mice, shape is good, basically a Viper with a bigger hump, sensor is alright but outdated, a pm 3550 iirc, retuned into their own whatever marketing name they got, its solid but at that price tag there are way options in regards to the sensor, but knowing its meant for MMOs and such I wouldn't worry about it.
battery life is dogshit, I owned an Aerox 3 and that 80 hours of battery life its basically wth RGB turned off and low polling rate, and maybe, just maybe, it lasted those 80 hours.
its also water and dust rated so don't need to worry that much about the holes
If you are looking into it because you play MMOs I'd get it, its the only lightweight mice for MMOs so thats a plus, but please try to find it cheaper, the full price is insane, specially knowing you can get an Aerox 3 wireless for like 60 bucks all the time.
Not him, but what about the Razer Naga Pro Trinity? Isn't that also a wireless lightweight MMO mouse?
the naga pro trinity its pretty good and the battery last almost an entire week non stop, but its not lightweight, it weights 120g vs 89g of the aerox 9
if weight its not the issue I would get the naga pro trinity
the interchangeable side panels its also a big plus imo, with the aerox 9 you are stuck with the moba panel 24/7
Totally useless, why would you want to have LESS buttons?
grip preferences, i don't like having too much buttons if im playing a fps game
Are wireless mouses still terrible for gaming?
Why do people say mouses? It sounds fricking terrible.
because they aren't actual rats
Endgame MX1 Dark Frost
Best RGB I've seen on any computer component ever. Wire doesn't tear or degrade, and everything about it is flawless. 10/10 mouse $70 on Amazon
If you don't care about RGB, they sell it's sequel mouse mx1r for 10 bucks cheaper.
No, but you're paying double the money for no good reason, unless having a wire mentally bothers you.
I got a new G502 hero to replace my proteus, and the fricking mouse cursor drifts randomly. I just fricking got it ffs
Imagine having to put holes in your mouse just so your feeble zoomer hands can move it
Meanwhile my mouse could probably be used to bludgeon somebody to death with and still work afterwards.
I use this mouse for a day and it looks fricking filthy afterward. Especially those textured triangle surfaces
Have you considered washing your hands?
I wash my hands thoughever
>posts gamer-gunk magnet3000
I cannot stand the g502 when the viper mini exists
I fricking love this thing, just wish it was easier to clean
I fricking believe they put some magical gunk generators inside this thing because it's always fricking dirty. I wash my hands all the time, yet it's all disgusting in a few days
I am mouse
I am mouse
My G502 has started double clicking and the scroll wheel is dragging because there's some garbage inside the mouse. Yet I can't really fix it since the last time I opened my MX518 I realized that the replacement teflon pads cost more than a new mouse, and that I couldn't actually put the spring in the clicky thing back together due to my incredibly shaky hands.
Is there any mouse with
>unlockable scroll wheel
>side clicking scroll wheel
>thumb rest
>three thumb buttons, minimum
that isn't incredibly unreliable Logitech shit? These things always start double clicking for me. Bonus if the pads are actually cheap to replace.
A pinkie rest would be nice too.
I think it's Razer that has their own mouse with a locking scroll wheel but that's your only other real option that I know of
>Is there any mouse with
scroll wheel
>>side clicking scroll wheel
rest
thumb buttons, minimum
short answer no.
I've tried to find one while my g500 was being repaired and the best I could do was a shitty logi m500s with a crap sensor and only 2 side buttons.
the double click happens on every mouse because they all use the same shitty chinese microswitches which use shitty chinese metal for their leafsprings (the internal clicky bit). at best you can get jap ones which might last a little longer.
mouse design is so shit these days I've given serious thought to just making an offbrand g500/g400 with better optical sensors and selling them myself.
would it be possible to buy a higher quality spring separately and installing it on the switch? would it be worth it?
I specifically brought up that the MCU isn't "Made in China" since you were so adamant about everything being made there for whatever inane reason.
Like I said, if you want to buy that mouse buy it, but spending 61 fricking dollars on something with so many question marks is absurd when there's plenty of proven mice with extremely good value for way less than that.
what does voltage have to do with the spring
the double click on every mouse is due to industry wide undervolting
it has nothing to do with the spring
>industry wide
maybe shitty companies, I chose Razer and it doesn't have this issue
ok so why does undervolting effect the spring longevity?
reread the part where i said "it has nothing to do with the spring", one of the two sentences there
so why does my double click stop when I replace the leafspring ?
because you have autism
Because in your case the spring was faulty. That can happen too, but it's far from the only factor.
that guy seems like a bit of a moron and he's rambling, why dont you just answer the question of how it works cause atm it just seems like schizobullshit to me
That sounds like a (You) problem.
dismissing something isnt much of a problem anon. you're the one proselytizing shit you apparently dont understand for some strange reason
Might want to read up on how electric switches actually work. Specifically the wetting current.
Or not and stay inside your safe little bubble without ever having the smallest grasp on how the tech you use actually functions.
>asks for an explanation on an in-depth electrical problem
>anon links a video that covers it extensively step by step
>refuses to engage with the topic and instead starts name calling and ranting about "schizos"
lol, lmao even
because you're discharging the switch completely for an extended period of time.
https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/hack-mouse-click-do-it-yourself,4458-3.html
Is it just that it's not Razer?
your*
I am eyeballing a mouse with a charging cradle and 2.4Ghz wireless for $61 on Aliexpress. Change my mind
This is a very epic meme but again I remind you that all of the goods you could possibly offer up in its place are also Chinese-made and also sold domestically in China
>The product description doesn't even go into detail what parts they used
What
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3256803979044234.html
>Why do people get those charging docks then?
Nobody gets those charging docks.
They are a meme, something people actively make fun of.
What about the viper ultimate, does it charge from cable or does it come with physical batteries?
>$61
??????? why would you not buy a logitech or something
higher end features at lower prices are why people usually buy chinkshit
right, which that mouse does not posess, on top of being ugly as frick and probably garbage
g305 is 38 on amazon right now
g603 is 69
there is no defensible reason to buy some chinkshit mouse
>don't buy chinkshit
>>>>>>buy logitech instead
name the high end features that a 60$ logitech or razer doesnt have
charging cradle/dedicated usb receiver hub
what the frick lmao
please tell me you are trolling
>tfw there isn't a single mouse designed to fit the way i hold my mouse
post pic of your grip
It's this fricked up diagonal half-claw grip. I'd need a pinkie / ring finger tray on the bottom right side of the mouse, where the small notch is on the G502. Never see a mouse like that.
have you seen the g303 shroud edition, that one was made for claw/fingertip, maybe it works for you? I gotta agree with you thats a weird ass grip style
Kneel.
What do I get to replace my G400S?
I heard new Logitech double clicks and I dont want to get a mouse every year, this one has lasted me 8+.
I heard good things about the Razer optical switches, maybe a viper ultimate?
frick your mouse
post mousepads, I have used this circle frick for 15 years.
you need more??
I use a bigass desk-mat, dirt cheap and big coverage, my entire desk being a mousepad is liberating
Yes I fricking need more now because I've seen the light
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01798VS4C
I don't need to use my entire desk because my DPI is on 4520
If you play any sort of competitive gaming, I bet you make so many mistakes with that mousepad. And clean your fricking mouse you degenerate
Is mouse shape even important like youre gonna be fingertipping it anyway unless youre a palm pleb
Is that really so much to ask?
the light issue is simple to solve just turn the lights off?
Then I'd be paying for shit I'm not using
No lights
>paying for shit I'm not using
Do you know how much an LED strip and RGB diffuser plastic bit costs? Not as much as you're thinking and definitely not enough to even warrant a fuss
how do you homosexuals even live without a tilt middle click. this is the pinnicale of mouse design
If only the G500 could've been that resilient though...
any razer viper
>People have wired mice in 2022
Holy shit, you homosexual need to grow up and move on with your lives, i understand you have some form of comfort in sticking to your old ways, like grooming kids, but atleast catch up with modern tech
you don't need to be such a weirdo but i also use a g703 and it rules
been using the g pro wireless for almost two years and the side buttons are starting to give me shit. shame, logitech used to be god tier in all aspects, but now it's just made of garbage components that wear out too quickly.
Ive never once in my life used side buttons
How do you browse without side buttons? I use them 24/7.
BASED g900 anon, IMO the g900 is the comfiest wireless mouse for every task other than playing FPS
egg mouse
was interested in this but saw the price tag and holy shit no
Looking for a new mouse, are wireless as good as wired for gaming? In terms of response for example or stability?
Bluetooth, no. 2.4ghz, yes.
I'm not sure if logitechs lightning or whatever it's called, is any different to 2.4ghz.
Pretty sure it's close these days, but it's not worth the extra money and having to charge it and all that bullshit.
The biggest reason I could think of to buy wireless if you game across a room at 4k or some shit.
That doesn't really sound all that great compared to higher quality build and better switches tbh. Interesting though, thanks for the explanation
The only shitty thing is they need to be replaced too frequently
>former sponsored cs player
There's plenty of mice that are lighter and offer better switches and sensors.
You are just brain washed by marketing.
Finally(heh) there's also the FinalMouse brand which has some very good ones, but they are extremely expensive and extremely hard to get.
the superior deathadder
It's a nice mouse, I'll give you that. But the engraving gives you no tactical advantage whatsoever.
I've used an older version of this post the past 10 years. You really don't need anything more
Why do people still buy logitech when their build quality is so shit?
Excellent sensors, generally good build quality, great wireless battery life and effectively 0ms wireless latency, but *doubleclicks*
>generally good build quality
Because they are fricking huge. If you google gaming mouse the first two results will be Logitech and Razer.
You don't need to actually be good if you have their kind of market presence, just good enough.
Everything about them is great, except the switches.
...and the cheap plastic, and the scroll wheels, and the customer support, and the undervolting...
Their build quality is good. Not amazing, not bad, but good. Their sensors are stellar, their wireless performance above average, they are just good mice.
The main problem with Logitech are the switches they use, in large part due to what
talked about.
man... I had so many problems with Logitech products in the mid 2000's. It put me off of them forever. Yeah, laser sensors were a new thing and all, and mice have gotten better, but still. Fortunately with Razor I've always looked at how ungodly expensive they are with everything and never bothered.
>generic Razor keyboard, only $120!
Suck a gangrene wiener.
everything else is just as bad or worse. I bought 3 roccat owl eyes off amazon and within a few days to a week every single one started double clicking
>everything else is just as bad or worse
>his only other frame of reference is another known shit brand
Model O Wireless
The gamer gunk adds character.
Model D Wireless GOAT, waiting for a Model I Wireless
Thanks,lol.
I am never getting a mouse with holes in it.
Staples Wired Optical Mouse
What's the point of holes?
LIGHTWEIGHT, BABY!
If you use your mouse a lot , all the stuff from your hand will get into those holes.
What a stupid design.
Lowering the weight by 5-10g depending on the mouse.
It does actually make a pretty noticeable difference if you compare a heavily holed shell vs one that doesn't have any, especially if you use fingertip or claw grip.
A lot of manufacturers go way overboard and also drill holes into spots where they really shouldn't and only get in the way though, so that kind of sucks.
ye nah its a dumb meme
You clearly don't use fingertip then. I have swap-able shells for my mouse, one holed, one solid, and it's VERY noticeable.
I still don't use the holed one since I don't enjoy having to clean my mouse with compressed air once every week or two, but still.
>you dont understand its not a meme !!
>i dont use it tho cuz its a meme
ok
Are you the same guy that kept going on about schizos for talking about things you don't understand earlier?
Use your brain a little anon, not everything you have no experience with is inherently bad.
how weak are your arms that a few holes making the mouse weigh >10g less is a big deal?
I remember when the mouse fad was adding weight not removing it lol.
If you use fingertip grip you don't use your arm anon.
Again, use your brain a little.
are you moronic
That's pretty funny coming from you.
Fingertip grip has the wrist static in place resting on the mousepad while the mouse is controlled exclusively with your fingers.
A 10g difference is very noticeable there long term.
Sounds like the facebook mom grip
Your mom has gotta have pretty damn dexterous fingers if she's able to use a fingertip grip, I'm jealous.
It's extremely good for very precise and quick snap movements so it's heavily used among eSports players for fast paced FPS by the way.
No it isn't.
Sure is anon. It's either Claw or Fingertip Grip, if you Palm Grip you are kind of fricked at a high level for most faster paced games.
>it's the grip bros
>its the mouse weight bros
>its the wire bros
>its the chair bros
these "high level" gamers use whatever fricking mouse they or that their sponsor wants them to use.
The big thing used to be mouse weights and every "high level" player swore they used them.
Anyway it's all coping from people who are bad at games .
>The big thing used to be mouse weights and every "high level" player swore they used them.
Slightly heavier mice are good with palm grip to do long smooth and controlled sweeping motions, but just needlessly adding weight for the sake of it has never been in style.
Maybe you are confused by people transitioning from heavier office mice to gaming mice for the first time and adding weight since they were used to their mice weighting twice as much as before their "upgrade".
you add weight to shift the center of balance of the mouse to what you are used to
yes, even with fingertip grip, especially with fingertip grip since its so much harder to get good muscle memory with
yeah, you're just a moron following the current trend.
When it helps keep me from developing carpal tunnel, makes using my PC easier, and my mouse movements more precise that seems like a pretty good trend not gonna lie.
>carpal tunnel
this isn't going to stop shit. use an ergonomic mouse you autist.
If you really want to take care of your wrist you should use a track ball.
source: saw it in a dream
You keep embarrassing yourself, do you really not realize that? It almost hurts to watch at this point.
It's never too late to go back to school and learn how to form proper English sentences, how to form an opinion, how to try to get your thoughts across. You can do it, I believe in you.
Nice, you ran out of bullshit about mice to spew.
You finally started using proper capitalization and punctuation, nice! That's a start!
Now you only need to work on the forming an opinion about a topic and detailing your thoughts in words parts of the equation and you might even be able to start discussing something.
lmao, really hit a nerve huh?
its fine im sure you will find more bullshit to spew
Oh no, now you are regressing again...
post some more mice facts without any sources besides : dude trust me
fingertip is the best for quick precision actions but dogshit at long swipes
claw is okay precision and speed and okay at longer swipes
palm is dogshit for precision but the best at long swipes
really depends on the game what you need, most games have a bit of everything so claw is great but if you mainly need lots of very precise shots in quick succession fingertip is king
>how weak are your arms that a few holes making the mouse weigh >10g less is a big deal?
I wish people like you would stop this dumbass "HOW WEAK ARE YOU?" non-argument. It's like asking a marathon runner if they have weak legs because they want to use lightweight shoes.
What games are you marathoning?
lmao.
https://howlongtobeat.com/game?id=26347
i use an hsk that's barely 30g
shit is so fricking nice, i will never be able to go back to huge heavy mouses
You are mouse
*double clicks*
I fricking hate this Black person mouse.
It's easily fixable.
Buy a set of small screws and If you don't have fat hands you will fix it.
g pro superlight
it's worth it, comfy, great clicks, great sensor, wireless and light
dont neglect your mousepad btw
g640 logitech is a great one.
never buy the 1st gen of logitech mice
double click dog shit
bought the g900 on release --- double clicked
re-sent back to amazon
2nd one used for 1 year - double clicked
few years later g903 released - frick it bought it and it works perfectly since day 1
logitech used to be so good man
Something people don't talk about often with mice is how fast and responsive the clicks are.
Seems like that would be the case if the difference was slight, but in my case the difference was so big and noticeable it had to be a design flaw
For sure, in your example it's two entirely different switch styles too.
I was more just talking generally, button spacers are something people often overlook even though they make a huge difference in how the mouse feels
started using the g pro when I got into apex, never going back
even older games like quake it's just more responsive and nice clicks.
I was watching a valorant tournament and at a glance all the players were using it too, seems like it's the golden standard. IIRC bjergsen and simple use it too
it has a great shape and the clicks are nice and the sensor is good, typically wireless mice are heavier but this one is light and works great. the white skates or whatever they call it on the bottom also gives it a nice glide, while some other mice can feel heavier/drag more.
>logitech MX518 legendary 16k which is pretty damn good, but it has mousewheel issues like all logitech mice and also due to its surface attracts gamer gunk constantly
>a logitech g400 with cable issues that i don't use anymore but keep anyway
>a razer viper 8khz which i think is pretty great but i don't have the specs to use it at 8khz so i set it at 2khz to 4khz depending on the game
>a razer deathadder which lasted a year and i threw away in disgust into the bin and i hated this mouse so much it almost put me off razer entirely
>buy cheap 10 € and lower mouse
>mousewheel starts to fail x months down the line
>buy less cheap 15-25 € mouse
>mousewheel starts to fail x months down the line
>buy mid 25-40€ mouse
>mousewheel starts to fail x months down the line
ok how much do I fricking need to spend to get a normal mouse that doesn't shit the bed in three months.
I used this up until it stopped working and I accidentally snapped it in half opening it with my gorilla hands
>comfy shape
>optical switches (no more doubleclicks)
>top tier sensor
>lightweight
>flexible cable that does a great job of staying out of the way
>very reasonable price
>but the scroll wheel is made of an inner plastic wheel and an outer rubber sleeve that aren't keyed together in any way
Coolermaster you motherfrickers, you were THIS close to creating perfection. Should've just slapped the MM711 scroll wheel in and called it a day.
I use one of those speedhole gamer mice for FPS gaymen. MX Master 3 at all other times
for me, it's the razer viper mini
let me guess you need more
Recommend me something light, wireless similar to the G400 shape
>he still uses omron switches
you will never be a kailh chad
*buys a spool of flux solder and a bag of kailh switches*
