Yeah the demo just wasn't very good sadly, so I didn't have high hopes for this one.
The demo didn't even show anything. No city, no story quest, nothing.

It looked really dull from the first moment they showed it. I like the toriyama vehicle porn, though. Bandai namco anime games are guaranteed to be terrible, it's unfortunate.
This opinion is mine as well. After looking at their track record on games, I knew they couldn't do those vehicles justice.

I don't give a shit what game journalists think, most of them don't even like videogames and can't get past the first level/ tutorial level. If a game is too hard (for them) they just get mad and give is low reviews like God Hand.

Same. Hell, when the game was first announced I planned on playing it regardless if it reviewed well or not.
Played the demo and didn't know what the frick to do.
I drove around and found some caves and a ruin.
Didn't have the parts to fix some radio tower even after looting said caves and ruins, so I don't know if it would have updated the map or something.
The fighting system is very basic, but having different vehicles is really cool.
The creative design is awesome, but it's painfully obvious that it's their main selling point.
Ignore the basic as frick gameplay and empty map with generic shit because le hecking wholesome Toriyama (RIP!!!) designed the characters and items.
Maybe the main game isn't shit and actually has direction.

This. Maybe the bosses get harder later and it becomes important to strategize all the vehicles to win so it becomes more fun and the story gives you some actual goals and direction. It could end up being good, but the demo was bland.

The part adapted from the manga is about as good as OG dragonball. But that's about 7 episodes. I stopped there because the anime original part is based on some intern's OCs, so i don't care about it.
